We took the parent/ child introduction to swimming. I liked that you actually got in a pool (3 1/2 ft deep) with the infants - some pools only let you in the shallow swim area thats 18in of water with infants. It just sounds cold. Swim for half an hour twice a week was perfect for an 8mo. Staff are friendly, facility is smaller but clean and well taken care of.

Swimming isnt going right now but it will be soon and even better then ever

What kind of gym closes at 8:30pm and is only open 5 hours on Saturday and closed on sunday? Am I not supposed to be working on weekdays. Do better

Asked for an ADA “reasonable accommodation “ for my disabilities and staff response was inappropriately, “we’ll do our best,” instead of “yes, whatever you need to use our facility!” I felt frustrated that I had to explain their responsibilities. Staff didn’t know where the “dedicated lap lane” signs were located. Later, while swimming laps, I saw those ADA signs leaning up against the poolside staff desk, and told the lead lifeguard were they were!

A great swim center, our kids had most if their swimming lessons here. Great staff and instruction. Parking can be a challenge, especially during school months when the nearby soccer fields and ballparks are in use

My kids have attended three sessions of swim lessons over the last year and a half. The water is ALWAYS too cold for them, and the teachers teach very different lessons depending on who you get, although its the same level of class. I know kids like Frozen, but they dont like being frozen...save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

The Sheldon Pool is dated and too small to accommodate the demand of the growing population in Eugene. They offer the bare minimum level of service, instruction is spotty at best, poolside seating is almost non-existent, and the locker room is insufficient for the volume of users. The parking situation is a disaster. A complete redevelopment of the site is clearly long overdue.

Our five year old takes swimming lessons here. It’s a good set up, there could be more parent seating. The instructors (who are also the lifeguards) are kind, patient, and attentive (important to us parents), not to mention fun (important to the kid). The locker rooms (the ladies and family at least, I haven’t been in the men’s) are clean and warm. Desk staff is always helpful.

My 5 year old son has swimming lessons here. The teachers have all been great and are really nice with the kids. They do fun little games in the classes to encourage the children to swim and keep their attention. My son looks forward to his swimming lessons. This is a wonderful and clean place! I defiantly recommend it everyone!

I love that all the free weights are always available, the staff is always helpful, price is great. All around happy with my decision to go to Sheldon Rec Center.

This is my favorite deep water pool. I do water aerobics early in the morning, and the water is warm, the staff is very nice, and its usually not to crowded when i go.

Love this pool and their teaching staff. This is a fitness and racing pool... There are no kid pools or play spaces. And its not super warm. But its great for swimming lessons or aqua classes

Its an older facility, but well maintained. Less crowded than Amazon pool.

Very nice and patient staff. Clean and tidy. There are 2 lifeguards always on duty. Affordable prices and a great place for family to visit!

Theres nothing to really do? And when we couldnt find out how to get in the pool because we have never been here before the lifeguards made fun of me and my little sister whos only 7. Didnt feel welcome at all. Wont come again.

Publicly accessible track in great condition, didnt use Fitness center or pool.
