It was nice and clean and the machines were well maintained. They had a lot of variety of machines but were missing a few I liked. This could be because if the pandemic as all machines were spaced at least 6 ft apart. I am visiting the area so I only went for a day pass which is pretty expensive. It would have been nice if they had weekly or monthly passes for visitors but they dont.

Great starter gym. And great for keeping in shape. But at some point if you want to get bigger, such as body building I suggest another gym. This is only my opinion. Straight to the point. Clean gym. Staff when not super busy is great at helping with my questions and concerns. Only issue I have is not 50 treadmills and some heavier weights for free weights and some of the machines need heavier weights as well.

While I have been generally pleased with my 5 year Black Card membership, the Eugene location needs to do better in two areas:1) mask mandate. I have had to interrupt my workouts several times over the past few weeks (including leaving completely) because the mask mandates have not been enforced properly. Gaiters and bandannas tied over the face are NOT masks, and regardless, the NOSE must be covered. Ive been told that there are hourly mask checks: I have NEVER witnessed this, and I am there at least once a day. Also, who works out for an hour? One of the employees confided to me that the members who get admonished just slip the mask right down again, confident that they will be gone before the next check. SO, obviously, the checks need to be upped to every 15 minutes. Considering the amount of stand-around time I witness at the front desk, a quick sweep shouldnt be a problem.2) cleanliness: I have to echo the complaints of others about general cleanliness: however, its still pretty clean. I was under the impression that we were required to wipe down our equipment after each use: if the members are only encouraged, the lazy and selfish wont do it.Please, get on the ball! Im seriously considering just cancelling my membership.

The Planet Fitness that I go to has a huge variety of equipment to use and they have multiple items of the same equipment so there’s always something that I can do. The staff greet you every time you walk in and they are very friendly. The benefits of having the highest level are great. Tanning, regular massage chairs, hydro massage beds and the total body enhancement as well as all of the equipment for the price I pay is outstanding. I highly recommend Planet Fitness for all of the benefits for the price and judgment free facility.

Overall, affordable and roomy! The staff is friendly. I like the spaciousness of the gym and the crowd meter available on the website and app. There is a variety of weights and fitness equipment. The value-added products of the black card membership are worth it if you use the services at each visit or bring a guest.Notes about membership culture during the pandemic: I have been a member since October 2020. I have observed a steady decrease in sanitation by club-goer, particularly once the mask mandate for vaccinated people was lifted. People are no longer cleaning their machines before and after use. I do the same routine and use a clean towel to sanitize the machines. Over the past two months, I have noticed that the towel has picked up more visible residues than back in February 2021.I share this because I want people to know how members behave when the corporate message encourages different behaviors.

Its clean the staff is super helpful friendly and its a very motivating place that I go to feel better about myself every time I hit that Gym

Updated review. This is probably the same everywhere but, too many people just dont respect mask mandates. So many members dont wear masks properly or, at all. I stopped going to work out there until COVID cases slow down. It doesnt seem like employees go out and tell people to wear there mask properly at all. If tanning wasnt included I would just cancel my membership.. I cant give this gym a 4 or 5 star rating at this time due to masking issues during the pandemic.

It’s a mediocre gym, bizarre that I can’t wear a spaghetti strap tank top, but that’s not why I’m leaving a 1 star review. My 1 star is because when I went to cancel my membership because I’m moving, they charged me $60 to cancel it because I hadn’t yet been with them for a year. Absolutely bizarre company policy, needless to say I will not be returning to this gym at any point in time.

Predatory company that makes it really difficult to cancel and probably makes most of their money off people who aren’t even using their gym but are still being charged for it. If you really believed in your product you wouldn’t have ridiculous policies like having to send in a hand written letter (on top of being charged $60) to cancel a membership if you live out of town and can’t go in person. They also charged an extra $45 whenever the membership renewed despite my wishes so I was charged $55 for the month of March and have been charged $105 over the past 6 months for a membership I haven’t used in over a year.

Very clean kept gym! Staff are very informational and welcoming with big smiles! Nice AC throughout the building as well. Restrooms are spotless. Equipment is very updated and kept functional. Massage lounge is nice and big as well as dark and relaxing/comfortable. I also really appreciate their hard work at enforcing social fitnessing and mask wearing. I think it’s appropriate that they are giving those who are fully vaccinated a choice to not wear their mask with proof. It makes me feel safer coming to this gym knowing that I have a better chance of not receiving or spreading the virus and germs as well. Lots of cleaning supplies all around this location! Overall amazing gym.

Showers are not exactly very clean at times. I often take a shower there and sometimes have found stuff like hair, grease, soap, and once or twice a disposable shaver. I am not sure how often they are cleaned but I have seen some of these things in one particular shower for several days. On another note, hot water is basically non-existent because it runs for a sec and then turns cold or fluctuates between cold and hardly lukewarm.

Im new to the gym and someone was nice enough to give me a few tips on how to properly do an exercise which was very nice of him.

Local younger people clickish no good deals or free trial and if your looking for 24 hrs or a shower dont go here

Employees have all been great. Polite, helpful, always a smile to greet you and have a nice day when leaving. Love the 30 minute workout area. So much more to explore. Wish they had a pool.

The fans blowing at this spot were great, had me feeling as if Id just started my workout even an hour into it. Staff was respectful and happy to help but overall gave us space, machines kept clean and working smoothly, everybody stayed considerate of wiping stations down and taking turns and keeping masks on. I had fun 😄

Probably one of the worst gym experiences ever. The staff there are extremely unhelpful, rude and unprofessional and dont like to answer questions. Seems like they hate there job and just want to collect a paycheck. As a new member starting out, I wish I did sign up for the black card before talking to them because it would have saved me a lot of money because I would have never signed up. A new gym is hard, and there is a lot to planet fitness but good luck finding out on your own because if you ask them any questions them get so annoyed. Like hey man this is your job. No new member orientation or anything so you know where things are or what you have to do. Also dont believe there judgment free zone line of bullcrap. The HOLE TIME I was there I felt judged and humiliated because Im overweight. Like sorry we dont all look like you with your six pack. Worst gym to go to!! Stay FAR AWAY!!! Only good thing so far is they do care about being clean for COVID and they do have lot of equipment if you know how to use it and find it. Just stay away. TSA if more friendly than there staff.

They purposefully make it as difficult as possible to cancel and did not change that whatsoever during the pandemic, because theyre a fraudulent company with a business model that relies on you canceling months after your last time in, or forgetting to cancel altogether.Its a genuinely terrible company, so surprised so many people post reviews so early in their experience.

It has character and has a great workout routine if you want to use it. I love the signs on the walls and the positive music always playing, it gives a nice atmosphere for a great workout.

The use of the space is sub par.. It would be nice to have more than 4 stair steppers instead of 45 treadmills. Especially considering one is usually out of order.

Love this place. The loocker rooms/bathrooms are spacious, the showers are clean, lockers have a decent amount of space. The hyrdobed here is the best, I think they have the best ones in the Eugene/Springfield area. This gym is nice and big so there are plenty of machines available.

Im transgender. Im happy to be able to work out and use the restroom that corresponds with my gender identity. I recommend this gym to all my trans friends.

Haven’t been to this facility yet I wanted to read the reviews to see how their employees treat their clients and from someone moving out of a different city to move to Springfield/Eugene I was thinking of trying this gym because I need a new gym but after reading the comments I think it’s clear and the responses to the comments from the gym that they struggle a lot with their cancellation policy and overcharging customers after they do cancel the policy or put their card on hold personally I wouldn’t come to this gym it seems that their staff harasses you based on what you’re wearing or questions that you ask and the cancellation fee if you ask..you’re told you have to pay $60 under the year contract or when you do cancel it you still get charged I don’t know seems really unprofessional to me from someone who hasn’t even gone here yet and I’m reading all these reviews so I will be missing the Opportunity to being scammed of my money .

Day pass was easy to use on a brutally hot day.

Very clean bathrooms/locker rooms, staff was nice when I entered, but when I was leaving there was a line of people waiting for assistance with nobody to be found. Not very busy and plenty of equipment to use!

This is my first time going to Planet Fitness since the pandemic began, and it’s great to see that they’re taking the social fitnessing (as they call it) very seriously! They have tons of machine closed so there’s space between everyone, and they’re limiting capacity as well. It made me feel pretty safe and comfortable being in an environment that could otherwise be festering with germs. We love to see it!

I travel a lot for work so I have a black card membership and Ive been to a lot of planet fitnesses. This is the only one Ive ever gone to thats harassed me for bringing my bag onto the floor with me. Im sorry Im not comfortable leaving my wallet and keys in their locker and I get its their policy but no other planet fitness has ever had a problem or even mentioned it. Now I just go to the one in Springfield whenever I can, its usually less crowded anyways

I love going here!!! I feel comfortable there and that Comfort helps boost my confidence I now go everyday and the staff is super amazing overall!!!

The manager of this place is rude, unprofessional, and a con artist. I attempted to cancel my membership in August due to covid. The employee I spoke with worked very hard convince me that I should just pause my membership and that I wouldnt be charged. I reluctantly agreed and paused my membership for 90 days. After those 90 days were up the gyms were closed anyways due to covid. Now the gym has reopened and my wife and I were both charged our annual membership fees again. Which is completely insane because not only did they fail to inform us that they were even open again, but we are also being charged the annual membership fee after 12 months in which they were closed for many of those months. Such a scam. And the manager was very rude and dismissive in refusing my refund. Needless to say we canceled our memberships and will be joining a different gym.

I signed up to try the gym for one month trial & when i tried to cancel on the 11th, the manager name Joe was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He said I was supposed to cancel on the 10th, you cant cancel online or on the phone so you have to send a letter or cancel in person which was never explain to me when i signed up. He told me that they dont need to tell members what they are signing up or explain anything because it is the members responsibility to know what they signing & he said its my fault for not knowing what i was signing. I also told him that my contract said they next billing is the 17th & I am cancelling on the 11th but he is still going to bill me for next month. Ive already contacted Planet Fitness corporate office by phone & I will also send a letter to the corporate office as well.

Just started working out there and its amazing! I have the advanced membership which allows me to use the tanning facilities the HydroMassage chair and the entire facility. The hydro massage chairs are worth the membership alone!

Update:This gym has increased their cleaning and distancing. I see everyone being very safe and responsible with their masks, as well as employees enforcing the safety policy. I still advise that you clean machines before and after your use because that seems to be a normal sanitary struggle with gyms.Previously:I think this gym could be 5 stars! However, every time I go, there are people not wearing masks properly (no employees regulating this) and I see about 50% of people not cleaning machines. I advise you to clean machines before and after your use if you are concerned about your safety/health during these trying times.I go to the gym on different days and times each week but if I saw some employees regulating mask use and cleaning periodically, I would bump this rating up. I am not sure if they are not staffed to keep up with cleaning or its just not a priority.

Overall Im really pleased with this gym! Theyre doing a fantastic job with all the rona restrictions. The staff is always friendly and the gym is clean. My only suggestion is to offer people one-time use paper cup options in the event they forgot their water jug. I always forget the fountain isnt allowed right now and Im always so thirsty after my workout!

Gym is overall nice and very clean. But the rules for the VIP room seem to vary depending on what time you go. For instance, we usually go 10pm or later and all 3 of us get set up with a hydro massage on my boyfriends VIP account, but today we were told that’s not a thing when going around 7:30pm. We’ve been here countless times and been able to do hydro massages each time on his account. It would just be nice to know that from the get go, so we didn’t expect that each time. Not upset, I understand, but it’s just a bummer.

I never saw staff clean anything. Using the beauty enhancer the guys just walked back there looked around and said all clear. The use of spray bottles is probably the silliest thing, everyone touches that bottle in order to sanitize machines after use? Disposable wipes sound like theyd be more sanitary. The whole vibe in this gym is just off

The gym and people great but the hours are not great. When is it going to go back to 24 hour?? Or at least earlier than 7a.m. on weekends and 5a.m. on week days. It could stay open till 11 every night as well. Just need those flexible hours back

I started with a one year membership. Constantly frustrated by cold water in the dirty showers. They’d say there were plumbing problems, but it continued, and you could at least warn people about it. After my membership was up, they wouldn’t let me cancel even though they were closed. Now l, I’m trying to get them to stop charging my card, but they insist I can only do that in person, during a pandemic. This is for a month to month membership. I’ve been coughing and sneezing constantly and they won’t stop charging until I come in in-person. Find a different gym if you can.

I am very disappointed in planet fitness. I got a membership here BECAUSE they were open 24 hours. Then they went to closing at 10 which was okay now they close at 8. What excuse will they have for shortening hours this time??? I liked to be able to go when I got off work and now I can’t because these business hours conflict with my work schedule. What am I paying for if I can’t go on my time???

This place is great. The staff is nice, the prices are great and the location is ideal. The only reason Im not giving it five stars is because of how the parking lot gets when its busy. Not fun. Other than that, I highly recommend this location.

This is a great gym. I love going here. Theyve got great workout equipment and all kinds of cool stuff. Such as fantastic massage equipment and tanning booths. For 20 bucks a month you get the black card which I think is very worth it. 24/7 access and all the bells and whistles. Totally worth it.I should also mention that they are a pretty new gym and that is pretty cool too. There was seriously a lack of a decent gym in the general area before. The only reason Im not giving 5-stars is because sometimes the bathrooms seem to have a lack of a dedicated bathroom cleaner.... So yeah theyre kinda gross sometimes. And stuff seems to be in disrepair sometimes. Not all the gyms fault though, I mean really.Lasr thing, the employees are pretty dope too. Super chill. They do a good job. Anyways, very pleased to call this my gym and I think they are off to a great start.

I canceled in the begging of the year due to Covid. Turns out they never canceled my membership and they have been charging me up until now, 10 months after. The manager said if he does one refund he has to do everyone’s, So clearing I’m not the only one with this problem. They can’t do anything about it other than “cancel” me again.

Love this place! Its the only gym Ive ever kept my membership to. Comfortable for all fitness levels. I love the deep-tissue massage chairs & the upright tanning booths. Very convenient that I can visit anytime of the day or night.

Been going for a month or so now, and Im feeling great. Getting a membership was so easy and with the black card I can bring my wife or any other guest for free. How great is that?

It is a nice gym and it usually isnt packed. Good selection of machines to use. They are very basic and not a lot for features, but it gets the job done and the atmosphere is nice for the casual fitness enthusiast. Price is reasonable for what you get.

$23 for the black card membership. Includes hydro massage, deep tissue massage chairs and tanning along with the entire gym. Amazing selection of workout equipment. Clean place with a cool atmosphere.

Visited the gym when in town with some family, it’s a great atmosphere and very clean gym! I’ve been to a couple planet fitness gyms and this ones by far one of the best! Ended up taking a class with Joe and he was very informed and helped me reach my goal for the day. A great thing i saw was that Hannah, the manager, was very involved and up at the front desk helping out members with the rest of the staff. Definitely will be coming back to the gym when in town!

Atmosphere is always amazing, no matter which one I go to. Eugene had a lot of equipment down, and for some reason the air does not circulate very well in this building. Outside of that the staff is amazing and the facility is very clean.

Its cheap and most of the machines work, but thats about all that can be said for this place.I disagreed with their choice to reopen in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic so I chose to cancel my membership. They dont let you cancel online and refuse to cancel over the phone (despite being able to sign up online...) so I had to physically go to the gym. The staff seem to take basic health precautions but there was no enforcement of rules amongst patrons - sweaty people grouped together, breathing hard, not wiping down equipment. Gross.So if you want to subsidize a vector in the continued spread of a pandemic, I highly recommend PF. Otherwise, stay away.

I do not like businesses having access to my bank account and PF doesnt provide any other options. They keep a clean gym and enforce masks. Understanding the current Covid situation, my only complaint is that we no longer have access to showers and the gym opens at 5 am. I am unable to utilize the gym (at 5am) and still have time to drive back home, shower and be in time work. I am thankful we have a gym, but Im not getting as much access with the current time and shower limitations.

Its got all the machines and weights you would need for your workout and they do a good job enforcing the mask and keeping things clean.
