Was only in town for the day so I swung by for the noon class. The whole gym made me feel welcome to be there. Jeremy, the coach was very knowledgeable and led the class through a thorough warm-up with technique drills for the lifting portion. He actually had a few very welcome pointers for me too. The metcon got the heart pumping and we finished with core. Great gym, will be back.

Eugene Crossfit is AWESOME! I was visiting from Chicago for a month and this gym very quickly became a home to me. Ive been doing Crossfit for 5 years now and Ive worked out at 2 different gyms for 2 years each and dropped in to like 5 other gyms around the country and the coaches at Eugene Crossfit were some of the best I have ever interacted with. They are SOOO welcoming and supportive and, most importantly, knowledgeable about the movements and attentive to the needs of every person in the class. Jeremy, the owner, clearly has a huge passion for coaching and knows his stuff. He had us do fun drills to learn certain concepts and gave me some cues and pointers that were very helpful, even after 5 years of Crossfit experience. The workouts are really well designed to be challenging but accessible for both newer athletes and more experienced athletes and its really nice that they post the WODs on their website the night before. (I always like being able to see what Im in for before going to the gym!) The members of the gym are diverse in many ways, including age, experience, and goals, and the atmosphere is very inclusive and non-intimidating, not like some gyms full of hardcore meatheads. The facility has big rolling garage doors on two sides adding lots of good air flow and easy access to the rig and turf field outside (which is so cool!) and the 800m run route goes over a big beautiful river! There is a kids play room and there were often kids running around when I was there, which was very cute and again emphasizes what a home the gym feels like. There are also other rooms in the gym where it looked like weightlifting/OLY classes were being held for various groups and sports teams, which added to the community feel. People were always at the gym and I knew that I could come early or stay late if I wanted to do more than the programmed WOD, which was really nice. When my month was up I was extra sad to leave Eugene because of how much I loved the Eugene Crossfit community and if Im ever back, Ill definitely drop in again!

Amazing coaches! I have been doing CrossFit for over 6 years and have been with Eugene Crossfit for almost 2 of those years now. I love the atmosphere and the owner is awesome! The Olympic weightlifting class has been so helpful. The coaches have helped me tremendously with form, technique and I am truly thankful for all of them! I am so happy to call Eugene Crossfit my Crossfit home gym!

The people at Eugene Crossfit were outstanding! They definitely take the time to be very helpful with lifts to ensure safety and proper form. Im from out of town but they definitely make you feel right at home.I was new to some of the crossfit exercises, however, they took the time to provide very adequate instruction before we got into the main workouts. It was very easy to drop in for a workout. The workout times and the types of workouts were posted on their website which made it very helpful to plan. The location is very easy to find and they have an extensive amount of equipment (stationary bike, rings, kettle bells, pull up bars, row machines, weights, tires, etc) to meet the workout needs.Definitely will visit again.

Jeremy,Im going to squeeze in two more workouts before I fly out, but in short? Phenomenal. Ive been planning on writing you a note to give you feedback on a variety of things I loved about your box - but there were some huge things that stood out.First, your welcoming correspondence pulled me in. I had written to a few boxes in Eugene, but your comment about making donations/wed rather have you come and pay less than not come at all - I loved that. I enjoyed the facility so much that I bought three t-shirts and made a donation!!Second, very few boxes that Ive been to recently have a running/stretching component to their wod warmups. The ones that do? Theyre usually the ones that are sending people to the games. Loved it. Means that I didnt need to add in too much to feel limber and ready to move.Third - the coaching was GREAT. Your coaches are warm, friendly, and spot-on in their corrections. Rory took a video of me dead-lifting and pulled me over to see what I was doing. Wow! What a powerful and fast feedback tool. I had no idea I could do pull ups with weights before I made it to your box... :). Big personal win for me. Luke asked me to scale the fifty to thirty yesterday - but did it in a way to ensure I didnt feel insulted as an athlete. A+Finally, the programming was thoughtful. There was great variety, tough workouts, and I walked away from EVERY workout feeling like I did something good for my body. Not only does your gym make the mobility wods available for their members to work on at the gym, they post it on the website. Love love love. Your oly-lifting wods were full otherwise Id have feedback there too :) so...I guess my only feedback would be to offer more oly!Im bringing a friend to the wod on Saturday. If/when I move back home, you better believe Ill be signing up at your box. Nicely done. You run a great facility. Im a huge fan and have nothing but love for you guys.Hope that helps,BestSarah
