I made a surprise wedding gift appointment for my fiancé and best man to get a shave and cut before our wedding a few weeks before our wedding (for the day of the wedding). Unfortunately Sarah was not there at the designated time. So my fiancé called her and she stated she was getting a ride and it would be 20 minutes or so. They waited around. No show and no call to either of us to cancel. Eventually after waiting for an hour they left and we heard nothing from her. Basically a bad start to a special day. I absolutely would not recommend this place based on such a horrible experience and interaction.

Sarah is the best. I walk out feeling more confident about my haircut than anywhere else Ive been before.

I absolutely love this place! My son & his dad have been here 4x now and they are always so sweet, accommodating and a joy. My 5 year old can be very opinionated on his hairstyle, they always make sure he loves it. I will not go anywhere else for my boys. They have games, they have beverages, they have comfy seating. Love it!

Today was a very bitter sweet day. I visited the shop and found a different barber wielding the scissors and shears. Fortunately she, Jan, had filled in for John one other time I was there and she did a very good job so I knew I was in capable hands. But then the bad news came.While there John walked in. During our conversation I was shocked to learn John has retired, although he made it sound that door might still be slightly ajar. In his place Jan has taken over and she seems to be just as good as John - in my two visits I have been very happy. Jan says nothing will change with the shop (she will be open Thursdays now) and she is looking forward to maintaining the quality that John established. My visit with her today was excellent and my hair was done just as I wanted, expected, and the entire experience was awesome.To John - Happy Retirement!!! Im sure you have earned it and it is well deserved it so enjoy it to the fullest. Although a customer for less than a year I always appreciated your impeccable attention to detail and the excellent job you did for me.To Jan - you have big shoes to fill but based on my experience with you I dont think that will be a problem. Ill be back (in my best Arnold impression).

I have been searching for a GOOD barber who knows what hes doing and more importantly does what I want and not what he wants. I do not like high and tight on the sides but no matter what I ask for this seems to be what I get. Every time I find a good barber they seem to quit, retire, or move. My search brought me to Thee Barber Shop today based on other reviews.I walk in and ask if he does appointments or walk-ins. He, John, told me he doesnt do appointments - that was a HUGE plus in my book. To me thats the sign of a good old school barber, not a beautician (inside joke from an old barber I had long ago but very fitting).Once the gentleman ahead of me was done it was my turn. John listened to what I desired and off he went. He nailed it the first time, then trimmed some wild hairs in places they didnt need to be (had a couple of wild hairs in my eyebrows). When I walked out the door I had exactly what I wanted at a very good price.The real sign of a satisfied customer is one who would be a repeat customer. Well, John has gained a new customer, and while I dont get haircuts that often, every 2 months or so, I will definitely be going back.

Found Thee Barber Shop because of all the wonderful reviews. John cut my husbands hair and trimmed his brows. He did a great job.. my husband is very happy with the results and looks great. We loved meeting Pepper too! I HIGHLY recommend this barber shop for anyone wanting friendly professional services from someone who obviously truly enjoys his work. Worst haircut ever!

Jan gave me a beard trim yesterday and did a fantastic job. I have been growing out my beard for 6 years and needed a change. She was very calming and made me comfortable with cutting it off lol. Did a great job and tried to charge me only 7 bucks for the cut to which I explained that was NOT enough money. I was expecting to pay at least 20 dollars and would have been glad to pay it. John is not your average barber. He is expertly attentive, astute in his observation of your particular dimensions, and creative in his stylistic solutions to whatever peculiarities of form or feature you may bring to the barbers chair. John is interested first and foremost in making you a happy customer, not to mention a well-styled and handsomely-groomed customer. And if all that were not enough, and believe me it is, he charges only $10 for a haircut. You wont find better quality or a better value.

When was the last time you went to a barber and after you get a hair cut the barber shaves the back of your neck with a straight razor after putting on warm shave cream. This brought me back 50 years. As a topper you get a lotion that will bring back distant memories. Wow! All that for 10 bucks! Ive been back 5 or 6 times.

After going to some of the major chains for years and being unsatisfied, it was a breath of fresh air to get a great haircut on the first trip in. People often assume a barber shop will only do basic trims or easy cuts. However, John knows what he is doing and can provide a great cut with style as well. This place is a great place to get your haircut. I was planning on going to go to a chain haircut spot where they give you a mediocre hair cut that was way overpriced and then through my intuition I decided to give this place a try. And Im really satisfied that I did. I felt like I got a 30+$ hair cut when I only had to pay 10$. John is a excellent experienced barber. I had no idea on what I really wanted besides, A trim. and he did more then that and gave me a hair cut that actually looked great and suits me. Definitely going to go back again in the future.

Most of the time the service was great, but not when I showed up and they were closed without reason. It wasnt a holiday, it was after 10 (the opening time) and there wasnt a note or anything. There were three cars waiting outside but no barber there to open up for over half an hour. Eventually I just left because I had wasted a half an hour.

Thee Barber Shop has a great, homey feel to it, but thats not what makes it great. John spent more time and effort than I could have asked for to make sure my haircut was perfect. He also has always been a good guy to sit and talk to if you want and always has an ear if you just want to vent. Thee Barber Shop is probably the best barber I have ever had. I have been getting my hair cut by John for a little over a year and most the time I have had little to no wait for a haircut and when I have had to wait it was only for a few minutes. John is quick and efficient and adds small touches that most barbers that I have have ignored such as using a straight edge to straighten my neck line.

John was very kind, detail oriented, and took his time to make sure I got exactly what is envisioned. Couldnt believe the price, either - I felt like Id just gotten a $50 haircut by the time I walked out! Definitely recommend

I just loved my hair cut!! I called around 5:30 and asked Jon if hed be able to cut mine and my brothers hair around 10 till closing time. He said sure so I got there and this was my first time getting my cut by Jon. Jon gave me my own custom hair cut and by far the best Ive ever had. Jon puts alot of dedication and pride in his hair cutsand is just flat out the best there is. He stayed 2 hours after closing to cut my brothers and my hair and spent an hour on each. I love this place before and after they got a new owner. The older guy was super awesome and friendly great guy to chat with but this new gal workin the place now is just awesome. She has an awesome attitude and has the best prices in town. If your looking for a super homey type place to get a quick cut then this is your place. She has drinks waiting for you in a cute little cooler and an atari flashback to make your kids confused! Haha. Shes done amazing things with the place and i love coming here. Worst cut I’ve ever had. I would post a picture if I could. I got huge bald spots in my beard and was forced to go home and shave it all off. I’m ticked that I was charged to get my hair and beard messed up. Will not go back.
