I stayed at the Campus Studios for two years while in grad school at the University of Oregon and had a wonderful experience. The unit was small, but had everything I needed. It was about an 8 minute walk to the Business school and about a 10 minute walk to the rec center, so couldnt ask for a more convenient location!Tammie and Tim and the VKPM team were excellent property managers and any issue I had was resolved immediately. Tammie was especially helpful when I needed to cut my lease short and find someone to sublease for the last few months. The place was well kept, and quiet for the most part. Of course on weekends outside there would be noise from undergrads heading to the bars, but that goes with the territory.Overall, I would highly recommend the Campus Studios to anyone starting out at UofO!Thanks so much!
Just a tenant comment here from 735 E 14th Ave.The apartment manager « Tammie » has been an extraordinary person to manage this building. She has truly gone above and beyond in dealing with not only maintenance issues, but also issues between tenants, and all the issues in between. She and her husband are a great team, and really go above and beyond to keep this building in a good place.V/RJames EmbreySFC US Army (retired)
AVOID ANY PLACE MANAGED BY THIS COMPANY.I am a tenant of one of their student buildings downtown and I’ve been having an issue with a neighbor for months now, extreme issues. I have been threatened physical harm, called names, screamed at, intimidated, and much more all by the person above me who has made it very obvious they have a problem with women in general, but especially me. It’s an extremely hostile situation. I can’t even leave my apartment without being intimidated or in fear of this person having a bad day and trying to hurt me. The management office? No help for two months now. I am still being threatened daily, verbally assaulted, and more, all on a daily basis and they are very aware. Gillian, the person at the office incharge of handling complaints, told me they had no choice but to allow this to carry on despite it being a daily issue and an issue for months now, and their advice to me? TO MOVE OUT. Are they providing help with that or making the man threatening to physically harm me move instead? NOPE. I was told “if you feel unsafe, you can leave.” So I think that says enough on how they deal with tenants threatening harm on other ones. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have kids or live alone, because if you do feel like you’re in danger and you’re safety is at risk, you are not going to get help. You’ll end up still in fear, still getting threats, and getting told that they are “discussing options with lawyers” for months while you have to worry about getting hurt. Hopefully I can get out of this place before anything escalates or I end up harmed, and if not, then here’s more proof that I’ve been speaking up about this and TRYING to get help from someone in this situation and nothing was done.
Von Klein is getting a 5 star review from me based solely on Tammie, the on-site manager at Hilyard House. She is a dedicated professional who went above and beyond to facilitate a sublease for me. I have never interacted with a manager as helpful and responsive as she is. I hope Von Klein recognizes the incredible value she adds to their properties and gives her a well earned raise. I would rent from any unit that had her in charge.
Look for another rental company, literally any other. At the end of my time at my apartment with Von Klein we were charged for the materials used to upgrade the apartment after we left. I sent emails explaining how this was inappropriate, asking to have these charges rescinded. No reply. This cost me about 200 dollars, after the security deposit (including cleaning fees). Some of these fees were warranted, some were defiantly not. If you expect your landlords to hear of correct any of your concerns, look elsewhere.Reminder, only people with bad, or very very good, experiences write reviews.
I applied through Von Klein property management along with many others and they went above and beyond to get me into a place when all the others denied me.. Tammy and her husband Tim are amazing and outstanding people who always respond and resolve issues quickly. Communication is on point! I would highly recommend them!
I am active duty Us Army and this company has yet to help out fellow vet in their complex. Dont move here they will telll you you can rent your one of your rooms and then leave youu screwed and pushed out of your home. So if you rent our a room make sure they go through the website or von klein wont help you . I am serve this counrty everyday been in 22 years. I am disgusted by this company. I follow Army Core Values and this comapny has left one of our one alone.
They were very helpful when needed and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to people looking for housing in the Eugene area.
I have been going through legal issues with them currently. They disregard renters safety as well as pic of any type of evidence to the facts and chose when to uphold the lease agreements signed as to when they see fit. And because I am standing up for my rights... they are now giving me the could shoulder and not replying to my emails about any matters that I have. This is how this rental company will treat you if you have problems... they will tell you that everything is paper so if you have nothing on paper then you have no case... but they ask you to come in to the office to talk with them personally with any issues that you might have. I get it now... so there is no paper trail. So, make sure if you have any problems you e mail them and not talk to them in person with your problems because everything is on paper now a days and you will have no case if you do not have this type of evidence... be warned. i thought this company was really nice at first also until I needed things done. They are unwilling and will tell you that you can sub lease and that is your only option to rectify any problems your having... not also telling you that they will refuse to rent to you anymore and not give you any reason for it. Literally be careful because if you stand up for your rights they will send you this. Pic below
Right off the bat I should have known I was gonna have a bad experience with them. When I first looked at the apartment, they said they would fix the damaged countertop before moving in. They didnt. They gave us the option to wait another 3 weeks to move in to replace it or we could move in and they would replace it in December. They didnt. Ever. I spent a year there and they never replaced it and Im sure it still hasnt been replaced since. Lets go to the parking situation. 12 apartments and 11 parking spots? Seriously? Since I worked 2 full time jobs and came home from work at 1am I never had a parking spot and had to park on the street and get parking tickets or move my car every 2 freaking hours. Then they came in and did an inspection while I was at work and they left every. Single. Light on. and left every curtain open. So of course my bill from eweb was much higher. Then they decided to tell my roommate and I that we didnt pay rent which was a flat out lie. So we went to the office and they said it got lost. Then after checking the computer they found it (because that was so hard to do in the first place right?) Then after I moved out and took my name off the lease, they contacted me 6 months later and said I never took myself off the lease. So of course I had to come back and sign more paperwork. Lastly, I applied for an apartment in Portland and when I got denied the company told me vkpm said I owed over $2000 in property damage. After calling vkpm they send me a pdf of my charges which showed that the charges were clearly not mine and that my name wasnt on the lease at all. After back and forth calls for 2 weeks and a threat of a lawsuit they finally said it got taken care of. Yeah thanks vkpm youre the reason I lost out on a good paying job and a place to live. Worst company ever. Avoid them. They need to be shut down. Emerald property management is better and thats saying something. At least emerald wont spend 3 years trying to screw you
My experience with VKPM was super positive. They have plenty of very affordable places that are close to campus. They were obscenely fast with all of my maintenance requests (literally never took longer than a day). Very friendly staff as well. When I move back, I plan on renting from them again and I would recommend them to anyone looking for affordable apartments near campus.
Von Klein was a horrible company to lease from. After having lived in 13th and Olive, whose management is infamous, I can say with confidence that this company is equally as greedy and deceptive. They turn over apartments which are half-cleaned, and then charge you for things that were broken when you moved in. If you do choose to rent here, document EVERYTHING that is even remotely wrong with the apartment or any furniture of theirs you use. For example, they charged us for a broken bed screen (we definitely didnt break it), so find out what that is and document its condition upon moving in. They also charged us for a massive sticker on the window that was there when we moved in, which we left because we did not want to be charged for any damage removing it would cause. When I fought our refund after moving out, they agreed to refund a partial amount extra for things that werent our fault, but then when we got the checks they were much lower than they said theyd be! So many other times, they were unhelpful, rude, or misleading. If possible, avoid at all costs.
I lived in the Hilyard House (725 E 14th Ave) this past school year under VKPM and really enjoyed doing so! The manager of this property Tammie and her husband Tim have always been such kind and helpful people whenever I needed it. Whether we had appliance issues, got locked out of our unit, or just needed a light bulb fixed they were available to help right away! The manager living at the property made communication that much easier, and if you are looking for housing close to campus for cheap, I could not reccomend this more! I am so sad to be leaving (due to different roommate situations) but will always be thankful for Tammie and the amazing experience she gave me while living in my first apartment. Aside from the management, there are so many other benefits including the washer and dryer in unit, underground enclosed parking, courtyard bbq and patio seating, the fact that it is a two bed/ two bath, and so much more! So grateful for all that Hilyard House has given me this past school year :)
Friendly staff, quick on maintenance request. Was on a one year lease and they asked the entire apartment building if they wanted to lease for another year which is what I was hoping for! :) Loving the nice little area! Glad to be with this property management.
The most unprofessional rental property business in the area. Do not rent from these slum lords. They do not have the tenant interests or safety in mind. There are absolutely better, more affordable, decent and professional rental companies in Eugene.Renter beware.
Im Renting my first apartment though these guys currently, and Ive been here for 5 months now with no complaints. I see a bunch of bad reviews, but thats because no one thinks to review their management company until something goes wrong. So I decided to review them for myself. The people in the office at very nice and prompt when I go to pay the rent. They arent nosey which I really like, Ive had one inspection so far and they just pressed the smoke detector to make sure it works and left. Its by no means the best looking apartment, its a little rough around the edges from years of ware, and the fixtures are a little out of date(however they did put in a brand new fridge for me), but its by far a great first/student/low income apartment, and I honestly love it here.
They were helpful though my almost 2 years of living with them. the only reason i moved is because i had to get a lower paying job. Tammi at the campus twins and Hilyard House is awesome and so was Gillian before her. The people are very helpful and will go out of their way to make sure things get done or at least that was my experience at the campus twins!
I have never had a worse experience in renting. These folks are AWFUL!! Let me preface all of this with these are 200 sq ft studios that youre paying for. And I work overnights. My neighbors were all very nice people. The property management company however do not give one single solitary care about you; only the money. One morning, while my boyfriend and I were in the middle of getting intimate, totally nude, a maintenance guy unlocks my door and swings it wide open for a showing with two more strangers to see us in all our glory. I was MORTIFIED. Another morning around 8am on a Sunday, someone was in their vehicle blaring music with the bass up loud enough to shake the entire building. When I went to ask them to turn it down, the womans response was I work for the landlord, Ill play it as loud as I want!. I called the property management company to discuss this and was met with then go inside and close your door. Excuse me??? So I issued a complaint to the police department and they found her via license plate number and only then was she was prompted to apologize. Still heard NOTHING from Von Klein. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate and inconsistent. In the two years I lived there, I actually lost count of how many separate incidents involving the police, drugs, robberies, noise, domestic abuse, and someone even urinated under the stairs which they also refused to do anything about. My ex-boyfriend tried to break my windows with rocks (which they tried to charge ME for) and when I asked when they were planning to change the gate code, they told me in 3 days. 3 days go by, same code. I called again, was told to wait 2 more days. Called again and was told to wait a week. Its been a YEAR of that. So glad I moved away. Goodbye, good riddance and DO NOT RENT HERE. The single and only okay thing about the place is location and theres plenty of other options. Happy hunting folks! Dont try to reconcile or change my mind.
I lived in the Emerald Court Townhouses while attending grad school. When I first moved in, my fridge quit working in the 100 degree heat of July. Their on-call maintenance guy brought over a new fridge (up two flights of stairs) that night and was really nice about it. I appreciated having an on-site manager (Dotty) which is hard to find in this area. Dotty was very kind and even came over at 2 am when a group of drunk people started yelling and knocking on all the tenants doors looking for someone who wasn’t there. The move-out process was smooth and their office even contacted me when they found an error in my forwarding address.
Absolute joke, do not rent. - Go visit the office if you want proof, totally rude and untrained staff, cute students who have no clue and rude older staff will gaslight you into doing whatever they want if you dont know better. Had the gull to have typos in my lease and blame me for it when I questioned them about it. Housing in Eugene is rough, but renting with Von Klein would be rougher, do not do it man
First, some background. There was a homeless man lived in my apartment building multiple times, and staff did nothing, I am not anti-homeless, but this man would do everything including leave his own feces within the property and get into the washer and dryer room and mess with peoples close. Probably got something from him? I have lived on the property for over a year and a half and have had problem after problem. I have had work order for over two weeks that they still have not come to fix, I went for 11 days without water in my tub because they keep saying that they needed to order the part or something ridiculous. When they did out the part, they were sketchy. Management came by thinking I lived in a different unit and harassed me and threatened to call police?? Going into the office is mess.....They did renovations to the outside but there office staff is still very rude and they still dont care once they get you to move in. Also when I have problem with them they just give you their corporate number but it is not trained person usually, I always get an intern or some kid who needs the boss and I end up getting called back a week later. The lease is sketchy to begin with. For what they are renting these apartments for you could live further down the street in a better neighborhood and better service.
Tammy Howard just saved me a lot of trouble when I was down! Thank you so much! You are a great kindness!
Shout out to Von Klein Property Management for always being so friendly and helpful! Every time I go into their office, they always help me out with whatever I need. Whenever there is a minor maintenance issue, they literally send somebody in less than hour or so. Honestly, I dont understand why they have such bad reviews. They didnt ask me to post this review, and Im doing it out of my own will. But, all I can say is that this is my third year living in their apartments, and so far I had nothing but a great experience!! So thank you Von Klein!
It is nice that they dont charge an application fee. I did get approved for one of their units. However, I havent seen the property before applying as I wasnt actually spending money. The property obviously wasnt maintained and the studio seemed to be overpriced. There was a lot of trash over the property and it was an old building with old appliances. I decided not to sign the lease, allowing them to move to the next applicant in line. I would consider renting from them in the future if it was a nicer property with more of a reasonable price though. Many of their rentals are downtown and they are overpriced. They dont seem to do much maintenance on their properties though. Probably better off renting through someone else.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! These are by far the smallest apts i have ever seen. Maintenance was absolutely Horrible. the grounds were in a major way GHETTO!. These guys are the slumlords of Eugene/Springfield. The man showing the apartment just walked right in on the tenants while they were having sex! that poor tenant was beyond embarrassed and the man didnt even seem to care. The places smell like raid bug spray and all i kept hearing from tenants when asked was the landlords and mold was beyond unsatisfactory! Dog feces littered everywhere. We decided to seek apts with another company and i recommend YOU do the same. Definitely Watch out for these Crooks. OH BTW... That poor tenant should SUE your pants off.
Ok theyre actually really nice. The staff knows me by my first name, one staff member saw I was engaged and the next time I went in everyone was congratulating me on my engagement, it was really sweet.Every time Ive gone in and explained an issue Ive been treated with kindness and we found solutions together.
Sean runs a very clean shop. I witnessed a few students with an issue that they needed help with a situation and the team at VKPM was more than accommodating to these students. Very professional staff and always more than willing to help everyone! Highly recommended.
Honestly, the place was nice when we moved in and they process work orders in a timely manner. As for their organization and kindness whenever we go in the office, not so much. Theyve lost keys and paperwork. Just be careful which unit you choose to live in and manage your expectations from there.
My car was towed from MY apartment complex from MY parking lot, when I called Von Klein had nothing to say. When I called their shady under the table ran towing company they charged me 500 dollars IN CASH. Instead of a credit card and quickly rushed me out. Stay away from this renter. They are shady and exploit leasers.
Beware!!! Do not rent from this agency.Unprofessional, inept, rude staff. They do not even deserve one star! Will put your student in a poorly maintained apartment and charge you a fortune.Had complaints of room mate sitting in common area with genitalia exposed, they moved my student to a worse environment as a solution!!!Please do not risk your childs safety with this in uncaring company. We were told they would not renew my sons lease because the thought he was Odd! When I called to talk to them to try and understand why they thought that I was toldWe have nothing left to talk about and then I was hung up on!Please beware!!!
I disagree with many of these reviews. I have rented 3 different apartments over 4 years through Von Klein, all in the campus area. I have had my fair share of things breaking, but it was always fixed within a day or two. Also, with all these shitty Californian companies moving in, building huge complexes they cant fill, and charging 1.5x minimum what the local companies charge, von Klein is an even better deal.Dont be fooled by negative reviews. Ive dealt with almost every person in the office, including Mrs. Von Klein. If you truly act like an adult, and treat them with respect, theyll bend over backwards to make things right. The main reason I chose 3/5 stars is simply that many of their buildings are old, with outdated electrical and appliances. Nothing they can do about how a place was built though. . .
All my maintenance problems were addressed in a timely manner. On-site manager very responsive.EDIT: I take a star back for how they handled our security deposit. They used our money to fix some outlets that were broken before we moved in :(
Did everyone notice that their site is NOT secured? And that they want you to submit your SSN through their UNsecured site? Wow! Talk about identity theft opportunities. No thanks, wont even apply because of this huge oversight. I can only assume they treat all of their tenants with this same respect. Also not impressed that they dont show any interior photos whatsoever. Dont want to waste my time going on showings if I could rule out properties based on photo information. What a complete waste of everyones time.
When winter comes and your pipes freeze and burst, who you gonna call? A different property management company that has only two employees that also service Von Klein exclusively. They do good work, but when the entirety of Eugene and Springfield froze last year, you really are left twisting in the wind, especially since no one knew where them manual water shut off valve was located, including Von Klein.
I was originally nervous about renting through Von Klein because of word-of-mouth experiences that Id heard, but I felt like I had to write a review on their behalf after renting through them. My only guess is that people only write reviews or talk about experiences when theyre bad. Weve been renting through Von Klein for about 6-7 months now at the Hayward House, and our experience has only been positive. When we were signing our lease, the management office was extremely helpful and walked us through the steps that we were unsure about. Weve had to call in for after-hours repairs twice now (door suddenly not locking, water heater dumping water through the emergency relief valve) and they were extremely kind and prompt, despite the late hours. Von Klein has always answered any questions we called about immediately, and we havent had a bad experience with them since weve been living here. Id rent through them again if I were in Eugene for another year and have been recommending them and my apartment to my friends!
All the staff I met were nice and helpful especially Tammie she is the best, came over to show me an apartment during weekend which is so nice of her.
Just a downright horrible company who have absolutely no idea how to communicate effectively with tenants. Von Klein will do ANYTHING to make a penny off people, even if it means 18 out of 19 online reviews (and word of mouth) are negative. I ordered a book through Amazon to be shipped to my apartment and it ended up taking much longer than the said shipping time. The day I moved out of my Von Klein apartment the book had still not arrived so I tracked it a week later to find out it had finally made it but new tenants were living there already. I called Von Klein to see if there was anyway they could help me out with getting my mail and they refused to work with me at all. I didnt want to personally bug the new tenants so I thought going through Von Klein would be the easiest (and safest way not to piss anyone off). In the end I never ended up getting my book and then Von Klein tried to charge us for not leaving the shower rod in our apartment at move out. There was no shower rod when we moved in, so we bought one from Target and took it when we moved out. They also tried to charge for a patched hole in the wall their maintenance worker made when fixing our leaking bathtub. This place is straight crazy.
I don’t usually give reviews but I wanted others to know that Von Klein isn’t as bad as people make it to be. I have only had positive experiences with the staff and I am more than satisfied with renting from them. I lived in the Claire Lu apartments for 10 months. There were several minor maintenance requests made by me and they were all taken care of either the same or next day. When I had issues with the water heater and the fridge, they just gave me brand new ones. They also always called me to make sure it was ok to enter the unit, and then left a note when I wasn’t there letting me know that they were in there and what they fixed. They helped me find a subleaser and gave me almost all of my security deposit back. I think that if you are friendly to them, pay your rent on time, make maintenance requests as soon as possible so damage doesn’t worsen over time, there will be no issues with Von Klein.
I rent with von Klein. Worst business model. First they do not manage anything. They collect money. Then when all the problems need to be handled they pawn it off on to other property management companies . And let them handle it. Well they dont want to pay for it so they charge the tenant. Thanks von Klein.
Absolutely awful business. When we first moved in the doors were missing, the house was filthy (chewed gum stuck on the walls), and there was a dirty pair of underwear and socks on the floor of the living room. They still charged a cleaning fee, unfortunately. If this wasnt appalling enough they rarely return calls, take weeks to fix any problems, and generally dont give a damn about their tennants. I highly recommend you never deal with this company if you dislike extremely painful headaches and lots of unnecessary stress.
I really had nothing bad to say about them until my recent experience with VK. My lease is not over until August 31, yes this weekend when I went to turn my keys in and meet with the lady who was going to take over my room, before I could get there VOn Klein had given her the keys for my house as well as room. When I asked them if they thought that was okay they 1, did not want to take accountability for it 2, blamed it on me saying I never filled out my move out date, yet told me that the girl could not move in until the 1st of September. Which made it seem like they were just doing everything to cover their butts yet said stuff that went against that. I would think they would wait until they got MY keys to give her her own set. Definitely not comfortable with a random person having access to my room and stuff. They are also very unorganized; did not cash my check, that was paid on time, for two weeks and still charged me a late fee for it.
The absolute worst rental agency I have ever rented through. An unprofessional, deceitful, disgusting, pathetic excuse for a rental company. Everyone I know who has rented/who is renting through them say the same thing. Zero communication with their tenants, extremely rude if they do talk to you, most of their apartments are disgusting because they wont replace/fix anything unless they somehow dont have to pay for it. Someone had kicked in my front door shattering the entire wood frame, and all they did was replace the doorknob. My oven/stove was probably made in the 1980’s and the walls in my bedroom were covered with mold (which they just painted over) and effected my asthma. Also, expect there to be homeless people living in your laundry room. Unfortunately because they are located in the campus area there will always be plenty of young college students who they can take advantage of since they need to live close to the university. If only there was a zero or negative star rating option.
Dishonest, I do not recommend.
I have experienced terrible service from this company. I am the parent of a student and we signed a lease with a move in date. The company did not have the apartment ready on the contract date and asked us to wait four extra days so they could clean the unit. We went back four days later and they gave us a key but forgot to mention that they had changed the locks; hence another trip to the rental office. We finally obtained the correct key only to enter the apartment and find it unclean, with broken and missing light fixtures, damaged baseboards, missing blinds and water damage in the bathroom. Inept staff with this company. Keep clear!!!!!!
SCAM ALERT !! DO NOT RENT FROM VKPM They are Trying to claim $3K of damages after my move out!!! They claimed to pay someone $30hr for additional cleaning when I scrubbed my walls Deep cleaned before I moved out. They charged $175 for re-Keying when I turned in my keys at the before the last balance was paid... They told me the office said you probably didnt turn in all your keys.... Claimed I Stole all the door handles and window screens Lived in a severely over priced town home for two years a place the police said was a flop house prior to my residency. kept my place nice it was broken into the first night. The neighbors were drug dealers terrible neighborhood. Informed them with 30 days notice. They informed me my account would update after they have viewed the home and my balance would be deposit minus last months rent and prorated rent my balance said $1050 once it updated it said $411 so I paid the $411 and then they sent me a letter in the mail saying I owed the $3,000 of damages when I called to dispute the charges I was hung up on multiple times yelled at by a man finially talked to someone claiming to be the owner but wasnt the owner I met when I moved in told me they would send invoices and pictures in two days... It has been two weeks Ive called and they have not returned my call I will be taking action against them and expose the SCAM that they are!!
All experiences with property management companies in Eugene can be bad. Ive been with Von Klein for two years as a college student and I can honestly say that if you are nice, they are nice. I just at some point understood that they are dealing with a not-so-great database and a ton of angry, ignorant college student who dont like no for an answer. Personally my experience with this company was at first rocky (when I had a bad attitude) and then much better for the last year and a half or so. The people at the Ferry office are wonderful. Account for how hard their job is and what they deal with on a day to day basis and when you have a problem approach them with kindness and you will walk away having a wonderful experience. Also, when you call in with a maintenance problem these people take care of it IMMEDIATELY. Grant them entry and your problem will be solved a.s.a.p. That is one thing I loved!
These reviews are totally not my experience! These people are really helpful when I have had problems. I guess the only people reviewing are the complainers.
I am living in a new constructed building under Von Klein Property, I just moved in 1 year and the rental fee increased by 20% for NO REASON. I called the management office to ask why the rental got increased, but a lady at front desk said its our owners decision, I dont know why. I said Im a current resident and I have the right to talk to the owner of my rental. She just keep sayingI dont knowI cantHaha, I cant give you her email.....Then she just hung up.In general, Von Klein property has the worst costumer service in eugene. I dont even want to rate one star. I strongly suggest everyone to find other places around campus. Or you will hate your home.
Awful treatment, rude women on the phone and in person, student worker didt even help me, had to have boss call me back later in the week, who works here???
Disappointing that Im being let off at the end of my lease with no chance of renewal. Never late on rent and I havent dont anything to break leasing terms.
Absolutly terrible property managment company, we live in the andy for reference. They lied about what was included in our apartment, and it took them two weeks from when we moved in to fix the internet which was supposed to be included. They didnt bother installing the buzz in system for the top two floors so you have to walk all the way down to let people in. The front door often times is half broken and really hard to open. The thermostat was broken when we moved in and they didnt bother putting the bottom hinge on our bedroom door. Which they gave us the wrong key for to begin with. When we came back from winter break the internet was shut off becuase they just didnt pay the internet bill which was included. They didnt answer calls monday and tuesday becuase they didnt feel like showing up for work when there was snow. They constantly ignore calls even when they are in the office, it will often times take 3-4 calls to get an answer during office hours.
I would give zero stars if I could. This company has been a horrible experience for my roommates and I. Their customer service is awful and they are extremely disorganized. They LOST my first months check and they said it was my responsibility to find proof that I had paid. When I got my security deposit back they claimed they had to rekey my old apartment and charged me $130 dollars even though they never ended up rekeying my old place. There have been so many more stressful occurrences with this company. PLEASE save your self some sanity and never rent from these people.
Very disappointed in the service received from Von Klein. We were considering leasing from them, they told us we werent allowed to tour any properties unless we gave them our SSN. We thought that was a little sketchy, but went in and gave it to them anyway. When we decided to use a different leasing agency, they refused to give us back our private information. We were told that our SSN now became their property because they were written on the applications. However, we never wanted to give the SSN until they told us we had to in order to see the property. In talking with one of the office ladies, she was extremely rude to my roommate and I and then continued to give us a fake name when we asked her what her name was so that we could talk to the manager about what she was telling us. Overall Von Klein was a terrible experience for my roommates and I. I would encourage everyone to look to other leasing companies as this one is very unprofessional.
Extremely unhelpful and downright rude when trying to discuss unpaid tenant charges (which we didnt actually owe due to their ineptitude). I was talked down to and disrespected. The book keeper was unhelpful and laughed when I asked a question, which she was never able to answer. Avoid at all costs. Would not recommend to anyone.
Very disappointed in the customer service provided by this company. After many messages left with staff, voicemails, and emails, I have yet to receive a call back regarding my issue. Its been 6 weeks.
Von Klein treated me very well during my 3 years renting from them. Anytime I had an issue or repair they addressed it immediately. Towards the end of my last year, I got a job out of state and they subleased my unit and saved me 3 months of rent. All I did was notify them I wanted to sublease and they did all the work.
Friendly and helpful staff and maintenance. I have been with Von Klein for two years and havent had any problems!
Expect rude customer service. Expect to get taken advantage of when its their turn to give money back from the deposit. Over all horrible experience with Von Klein was bad. They were slow to accommodate regarding work orders.
They worked with me when I lost my job and fell behind on rent. They could of evicted me but instead they let me make payments on my back rent.
We’re great! Just great!
I left them years ago and still get frustrated talking about them when i hear people use them. Do yourself a favor and say no to the walmart of rental agencies.
I have too many terrible services from this company. Especially, if you are an international student, please KEEP IT FAR AWAY and find another company for house renting. Would not recommend this company they are unhelpful and RUDE.
Minus four Stars !!
Can be difficult to talk with the front staff but there are definitely worse property managers in the area.
Incredibly rude staff, dont rent from these people
They are so bad dosnt respected the tenants I had have lots of damages when I go in then I do report for all damages in apartment after I leave thy pay me all the damages cost and when I talked to them theyre hang up the phone customers last money first if there is less than the star Ill do V : means venture K : means knife cuts student pocket.
Not the best apartments by any means but cheap rent and work orders are usually processed in a timely matter
Best in town!
Garbage people
Stay away....
