I moved to Eugene almost a year ago and Taylor and the team have been absolutely amazing. Anytime I had a question or needed assistance with something they were there and had a great attitude about it! I greatly appreciate everything they have done for me!! You guys have made moving to a new city an even better experience and I will always highly recommend you guys to anyone!!
Absolutely love these apartments! My husband and I have been living here for a couple years and renewed our lease for a third! Its the first apartment complex Ive lived in that feels like home. Everything is always well maintained, upkept and clean. People are super respectful of each other. Staff makes an effort to meet your needs and learn your name. It is super affordable for the area and has a luxury living feel. The only downside is the parking but I feel like theres nothing much that can be done about that. You just have to be okay with walking a few blocks because they are limited on space.
These apartments are a joke. The parking is terrible. No air conditioning and no options to allow it. The floors are bubbled and scratch so easy! The office lady is a rip! Things happen to our cars constantly and nothing is done. They discriminate and call dfs for the stupidest things! This place all around is a joke!
Renting an apartment during a pandemic was not something I ever thought I’d need to do, but nevertheless, I found myself in that very situation! Taylor at Ecco apartments made the process so easy and pleasant. Everything was handled professionally and safely. The virtual tours do not lie, the apartment is gorgeous, full of light with a great floor plan. I am so pleased with my new apartment!
Everyone in their office is very understanding of our needs as we book corporate suites. They are always kind when we have needs outside their traditional resident. We trust them to give our guests the best onsite service!
So far we know of 5 cars being broken into and we constantly see people digging in our trash yet no on site security has been hired. Today our car was broken into for a gym bag and a hydration bladder. Why am I paying $50 for a parking spot that consistently is targeted to broken into and Apartment management is doing nothing about it??Apartments are a good price but with other costs.
The facilities are wonderful, clean, and new. There are some great amenities like a pool and gym. The pet friendly staff will do their best to solve any issues and to answer any questions as they arise. I simply cannot say enough good stuff about this complex.
Only lived there for year and half, but overall a great experience. Office staff very kind and professional and quick to respond to any needs or issues that come up. Also a very pet friendly community with a small dog play area! (although I didnt own a pet). A bit pricey and parking was sometimes an issue but not too often; and this is a common issue at many complexes. Otherwise, this gets my recommendation
Today our car was broken into window smashed along with 4 other vehicles I spoke with Caroline from Ecco and she explained that there was nothing they could do about it. She was unfortunately no help. I asked about security cameras and she didnt sound like they even had them. They take no responsibility for vehicles on their property. These apartments are terrible. I personally would never choose these apartments again. I dont recommend moving to these apartments. There is just simply no parking they will have your car towed and it cost me $290 cash to get your car back. There is not enough space for parking overflow moves into the neighborhood close bye. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS
I just moved into these Apartments and they are top notch! The staff was very helpful and streamlined the process so I was able to move in on the same day I applied! Couldnt be happier!
Thank you Ecco Apartments for supporting a Downtown business by allowing us to help your residents when they are needing Home Furnishings. Brenners has been downtown Eugene since 1938. We will continue to have the largest selection and the best prices as always. We appreciate your referrals!
I’ve lived at Ecco for almost two years now and the staff has always been helpful to me. The property manager, Caroline, knows me by name and never hesitates to fix a problem as soon as it comes up. Anytime I need maintenance done, they are at my place in less than 24 hours helping me fix the problem. From the reviews, this place has had issues in the past, but the staff has changed since then. Caroline, Taylor, and the other staff are the best and friendliest property managers I’ve ever had. The prices may scare you, but consider that this is a college town and this apartment complex is newer (I believe it was built in 2015) and has so many amenities that it is worth your dollar! Pool, gym, and a HUGE dog park! Not to mention, Ecco is one of the few apartment complexes in Eugene that allow dogs and cats! There is also easy access to the river and parks right down the road. All in all, I’m proud to call Ecco Apartments my home for the past two years.
Do not rent from here! Went to rent a 3 bedroom apartment. Was 2 days from receiving keys and looked at apartment the living room floors were trashed. I asked to have them redone they gave me 2 options pay the rent and take apartment and wait 3 weeks for floors to be done (after all your stuff is moved in) I have a dog this is not convenient In Anyway or take a refund. I said I wanted apartment but felt that I shouldnt have to pay for something that is trashed until its ready. Caroline in the office who by the way is not very nice or pleasant to work with stated she did not think that was an option. Would find out and let me know. 10 minutes later I received an email not even a phone call that my refund was being processed and would be mailed to me. The customer service at this apartment complex is horrible Taylor in the office is super sweet and a nice girl Caroline who runs the office is very unfriendly and unpleasant to work with. I dont feel that any person should have to pay for something that is not ready to go. And also there was an exact apartment that was the same that was being rented out at the same time for $200 less however she would not give us that same option because we had signed a lease a week earlier for the other apartment. This place is just worried about lining their pockets with money I hope this apartment now sits empty for them this was a horrible experience so very glad I did not move in there I tried to ignore the badd reviews I saw and now I know why all these bad reviews were lefttake the reviews and do not rent here find something else you will be happier somewhere else!
Going on our third lease and third year at Ecco I just wanted to say how much my family loves it here. Great location, great apartment as far as layout and quality goes. Sure there are other cheaper places but you get what you pay for. We have no problem paying for location and layout. Contrary to what others have said the noise level comes from life and is quiet for an apartment complex, never have problems with noise being too loud at all, kids play and cry and dogs bark, thats life and to be expected no matter where you live. And parking is not an issue if you follow the rules and get a pass. We have not had to park on the street in the last year since they put a parking policy in place. The rates have stayed reasonable with very little increase at renewal. If you are a loyal renter they only raise your rate minimally. As far as being charged outlandish amounts for damages etc when moving out they dont do that either. We recently moved units and were charged very minimal amount for wear and tear considering we have dogs and kids. We actually got a nice refund back from our deposit, thanks Ecco! Finally the staff are amazing! They are so personable and take care of requests and issues very promptly. And when the pool is done the already amazing amenities will outshine the competition !We plan on staying at Ecco for the long haul!
This was the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The apartment manager was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and offered no help when needed. The apartments are so cheaply made the floors bounce when people go up and down the stairs. You can literally hear everything everyone else is doing. It’s in an unsavory area and attracts similar clientele. There is zero sense of community. As well, the amenities are sub-par. The rent seems inexpensive, but for all the hassle and not a lot of quality, it’s excessively over priced.
I just moved in to Ecco apartments and already love living here! It’s located in a great location that is close to everything! The staff is really friendly and always happy to help! The apartment is very luxurious and modern, and overall a great place to live. Parking isn’t an issue for me like some of the other reviews, there is always parking available on the property but it isn’t always going to be right in front of your building but the walk is short and pathways are lit well. Also, the maintenance team is great and very quick to get this done. I had a couple fixes that needed to be done and within 24 hours it was all completed. The 24 hour gym is also an awesome bonus amenity that most places don’t have!
Ecco Apartments is amazing! My two roommates and I were looking for a place to live and heard about these apartments. As soon as we walked in the leasing door we met the manager, Stephanie. She is truly amazing and will help you find what your looking for. Mara was also a big help in filling out the lease forms. Both of these ladies are amazing at their jobs. This has been the best decision weve made. I highly recommend them!
This is a great apartment complex, great location and layout. Taylor the leasing agent was very helpful, friendly, and made the move in process easy for us all! Better than any place I’ve lived in, would definitely recommend!
We love Ecco apartments. If you are looking for a high quality apartment that is clean and well maintained then this is where you want to live. Very roomy units with nice alliances and hard wood floors.
I was one of the very first residents to move in when Ecco apartments opened in February 2015. If youve read some of the earlier reviews from its opening you will see that it had some issues, but the current management staff and apartments are incredible! Please keep reading:Parking: Yes, when it opened in 2015 the parking was haphazard, but now there are signs posted and a clear system to prioritize parking for residents whether you pay for a reserved spot or not. And there is a policy in place for you to have guests park as well. And it works!Management Staff: Caroline and her staff are quick to respond to any questions or issues. Yes, the manager actually listens, answers the phone and is happy to go above and beyond! I submitted one noise concern and she dealt with it immediately and followed up twice to ensure the issue was permanently resolved. I travel for work every other week and Caroline has helped me get packages that didnt fit in the amazon lockers and even delivered them to my apartment when necessary.Maintenance Staff: They are respectful, timely and keep the property in tip top shape. This past year, my washer gave out and they had it replaced while I was at work. You would never known they had even entered. My apartment was left clean and the only evidence was a note with the work performed and an update with instructions on the new appliance. Theyve come to help me spray for wasps in the summer when they get too close for comfort on my porch and been quick to say good morning in passing as I leave for work each morning.Overall living experience: My apartment is beautiful. It is modern and the floors, kitchen and bathroom are like new. The maintenance staff has helped maintain it with small measures (air vents, ect). The outdoor porch is delightful and the storage space off of it is so useful. Having a washer and dryer in unit is a great amenity. The clubhouse gym has a decent amount of equipment, theyre currently installing a pool and they even have an outdoor grill area. I live in a 2 bed, 2 bath and its spacious for 2 people.Bang for your buck: Yes, the cost of living in Eugene is on the rise. But, Ecco has treated me well and once you sign a lease and show you are a respectful tenant, they will do their best to keep the rate reasonable for you.Moving out: I am moving to Seattle for a job and saying goodbye to my home of 4 years. I was concerned about the security deposit and my lease, which I wanted to transfer to my roommate. Caroline helped me transfer the lease, came to inspect my apartment (at my request) and gave me great advice on what would work best for both of us.Bottom line-if you are a respectful tenant and take care of the property, Ecco will be very good to you!
We signed a lease under the old company, but by the time we moved in, it was under new management. Mara did everything possible to ensure that the transition was smooth and that any fees we were mistakenly charged were removed within a day. Shes always helpful and friendly and having her around makes this a better place to live!
*UPDATE*We have been contacted and steps are being taken to resolve our issues. Super happy about speedy response. Follow up is good.
Overall enjoyed it, definitely increasingly getting a corporate, money-hungry vibe. Parking is still a nightmare- even with permits. Only one per apartment, most people have 2 people/cars at least. They want to charge for extras and you still aren’t guaranteed a spot at night. I say turn that down and just go park in the neighborhood. I’m sure the neighborhood will get tired of all the residents parking back there from Eccos lack of spots and demand a change. The kicker is today I got a “warning” for parking in the lot, midday, plenty of open spaces throughout. I had till the next day, while I appreciate the warning, the sticker they used is the stickiest thing I’ve ever seen- it left a big mark of residue on my drivers window- really annoying. So be warned. Sort of leaves a bad taste considering how much money we spend each month.
Best experience - great layout of apartments- staff is amazing- Leasing agent Taylor was friendly and very helpful . She got our family into the best apartment that fit our needs- definitely will recommend to friends.
The staff is AMAZING. They genuinely try to make sure you have what you need. Maintenance responded to everything within 24 hours, and sometimes even just minutes after placing a request. This was incredible to me considering that the things I needed to be fixed werent ever urgent (just the garbage disposal a couple times). The office workers are transparent about everything youll be charged for and they dont try to swindle you out of any money. And that includes getting security deposit back when you move out.To address the parking situation that other people have talked about, they recently fixed the issue. Each apartment gets 1 free parking pass, and if you need more than that you can purchase additional passes for a one-time fee of $40. Any car that doesnt have a pass gets towed, and theyre very on top of it. Parking hasnt been a problem at all since they implemented this policy. Even when I get home at 2AM, I can still find a spot. The apartments are extremely well-insulated and Ive never once heard any of my neighbors. I did live on the top floor, so Im not sure about how much you can hear upstairs neighbors. I didnt ever hear my downstairs neighbors either, though, so I think thats a pretty good sign. The lease will go up when/if you decide to renew, so keep that in mind if you want to live here more than a year. The main reason I only give 4 stars is that some of the dogs here can be a problem. Not to the people, but to other dogs. My dog was attacked and made to bleed 4 or 5 times throughout the year that I lived here. Hes very well socialized and attended doggy day care without any issues in the past. Two of these incidents occurred while just walking around the property on a leash because owners lost control of their dogs, and the others happened in the dog park by dogs that shouldnt have been there. I started carrying a dog deterrent spray (citronella-based, harmless) and I used it regularly to break up fights, sometimes when my dog wasnt even a part of it. After a few months I no longer went to the dog park if anyone else was there.
Staff is super nice and helpful. The office hours are a little inconvenient if youre working but better than some other places I hear.Theres dog noise and dog poop in the grass but thats bad owners faults, they provide poop bags.
Horrible place. Great price when your new. If you renew your lease expect to get screwed. Mine went up 200 a month. I am paying 510 more a month from when I moved in 1.5 years ago. I pay more for a 2 bedroom then 3 neighbors who have 3 bedroom places, and we all renewed with in a month of each other. Dont believe the floating prices or current rental values. At my renew I showed 6 places comparable to here with 300 to 500 less a month. I still got screwed on price, Im moving as soon as I can.Parking sucks. No parking after 8ish. Expect to park several blocks away. I had my car towed from my paid parking spot. Had 3 bikes stolen. And my bbq stolen. They say they are putting in a pool. Dont believe then, its year 2 of talking about a pool and still no date it will be started. Every night people going through dumpsters and making noise. Dog poop everywhere. Do not walk in the grass.Update. More bikes stolen, dumpster divers here every day. Dont let your kids out after dark.
For the last 5 months, I have enjoyed my time as a resident here at Ecco Apartments. From the very beginning, Caroline has been here answering all of my questions, sorting out any issues, and being a wonderful positive person to interact with! Taylor has also been super pleasant and very easy to communicate with, even though I mostly deal with Caroline, Taylor is just as excellent! I really appreciate having someone who is willing and able to guide me through any questions or concerns I ever have. And it never hurts to see happy smiling faces around the property! I love how the property is always clean and well taken care of and our handyman is excellent! Theres a great pool and barbecue area, lots of green space, and a super clean workout room. I appreciate the open dialogue that is perpetuated by the staff here, it’s always “If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.” Also it’s pretty nice having an amazon hub on site, makes me feel pretty spoiled lol Needless to say, I am very pleased with my experience and am happy to provide a good review. Looking forward to the summer and having days by the pool!
Office is incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. We signed a lease for a specific move-in date, got there and the office was closed. Had to spend two nights in a hotel and called and left multiple messages which were never returned. Went to the office and the two women working, Stephanie and Cynde, were not even apologetic and made many excuses and even blamed an employee that was currently absent. When we broached the subject of expecting to be reimbursed for the hotels, the office manager stated we may possibly get a portion of it back, but was not sympathetic to our situation. We moved out after 4 months because of the constant headache of the management anytime something was wrong and they tried to bill for an extra month upon moving.
My roommates and I were having all kinds of trouble finding a place to live toward the end of summer, until we came here. The minute we walked through the door I could tell that Stephanie was one of us. She was overly helpful, kind and hilarious. She showed us an apartment that day and we were moved in by the next Friday. If we hadnt found Ecco Apartments and Stephanie hadnt been so helpful to us I dont know what would have happened. I am very thankful to be living here and to have a residential manager that is so much fun to be around. I really appreciate all she does here at Ecco.
Thought it was great at first but everyone is disorganized, nobody is on the same page, nothing gets done. They like to play the blame game and in the end the consumer is the one who leaves feeling cheated and lied to. STAY AWAY!
I have lived in apartments for over 9 years in a multitude of different states, and Ecco has got to be one of my worst experiences of all time. At first everything seems very nice, new apartments, clean/presentable layout, and friendly staff upon move in. Sadly this is not the case. Parking is ridiculous, you not only pay $1500 for your apartment, but an additional $50 is required if you want to even park remotely close to your apartment. If not, you are given a regular Ecco parking pass where finding parking is similar to the Hunger Games every evening. As far as the staff go, they are extremely unhelpful & lazy. Maintenances requests seem like impossible feats, and are received with annoyance instead of a helping hand. Upon moveout, you will receive a multitude of random charges, (for example, a carpet replacement fee even though Oregon state law requires renters to replace the carpets after a straight year of residency) so don’t expect any of your deposit back. As far as the layout in the apartments go they are fantastic, huge open kitchen area with nice counter tops. Tall ceilings also made this spot very cozy inside, but the overall feel you get from this area is absolutely sickening. Zero feelings of positive energy or camaraderie with any of the neighbors, leaving Ecco feeling like a succubus of spot. Loud & disrespectful kids run around daily yelling & screaming with no supervision whatsoever, sometimes stealing things off of your patio. This place is a definite NO-GO. I signed a lease for a year and was ready to move out by the end of the 2nd month!
I love it! Super comfy, prince range fair and close community I would recommend Nyonw to move here or family
I adore Mara!!! Ive never had a better property manager! I am so sad to be moving! the only thing I didnt like was the parking. but Ive heard thats changing soon.
You would think for the price we pay for rent and parking they would have some form of security. I leave my apartment sometimes at 5am and there are transients IN our dumpsters. The other morning I was harassed while out smoking on the street and then my 3 year old son and I were walking to our car when a transient jumped out of the dumpster and scared my son half to death and my son took off running at 5:30am in the dark. BOTH of our cars that we PAY to park here have been rummaged threw. The transients are constantly trying to get into our bike lockers and it doesnt seem as though the property management cares at all about its residents safety. Im not a snowflake and rarely complain but when my son is scared to go outside to even play I take that as a massive issue.
Don’t be fooled, they are by far the worst apartment complex I’ve experienced, we had one guest over and received an email the next day about a noise complaint. The buildings are built very cheap and you can hear every conversation your neighbors have. They say they are dog friendly, but they are not. Your dog must be leashed up at all times unless they are at the park & half the time you can’t even take your dog there because there are aggressive breeds. For the price you pay it is just not worth it. Save your time and money.. I was really excited to move here but two months in I am very disappointed, we will not be renewing our lease. Super upset about it
I have lived here for a year and made the best of it, but I am so glad to have left and will never, ever return. The staff are untrustworthy, snake in the grass type of people who are excellent corporate lackeys and will charge you for everything. The actual buildings are flimsy, poorly insulated and not very private. Many people have dogs here, but the landscaping is dog-unfriendly and the park was under water for half my lease. If I could deter just one person from moving here, I will have saved you from some serious heart ache, credit scares, annoyance at not being able to park, and ridiculous - arbitrary fees. There are other places to live in Eugene, and I would recommend ANY place to Ecco. Its a toxic place. Oh and Maras gone. She was the only good thing about that place.
Called 3 times to inquire about an active listing they posted on Craigslist over the period of about a week. Never received a single call back. Will not answer the phone, sent straight to voicemail. If their customer service is any indication of their apartments, theyre terrible.
Yet again, another thing wrong with this place. No security and after ONE night of my bike being in the LOCKED cage, someone cut my lock and stole my bike. This place is definitely not somewhere Id recommend living AT ALL. Horrible. Not even a one star.
Dont move here I have lived here for 2 years and everyone I have met and talked to want to move out as soon as they canctheanagers play face they act like there nice but there really not I have have a million issues living her and the issues get fixed half way and never come back to finish the job and they will talk to you like your stupid AVOID THIS PLAVE AT QLL COSTS!!!
The apartments are marketed as luxury apartments but they really arent that luxurious. Having lived in a 3 bed 2 bath apartment for over a year, the rent went up by 200$ a month when it was time to renew the lease. There are no assigned parking spots for any resident unless you decide to shell out an additional 20$ a month for a covered parking. All open parking spots are un-assigned and there arent enough covered parking spots anyway. If you come home later than 5 pm then you park on the street. In the month that i moved out, i saw about 20 other people move out. Infact 4 apartments were being vacated the same day i moved out. Everyone pretty much has the same complaints with ecco apartments. They charged me an extra days rent and when asked about it, they promised to return the money back and never did. Doesnt matter how clean you leave your apartment, you can forget the deposit and they will charge you for multiple things which were never a problem when you lived there. They still owe me $70 from when I moved out 6 months ago, which they acknowledged and promised to send a check but never did.
Update. Went to office to see is 10,085.00 a month is correct for month to month. It is. I found a house, but cant move for few months. The two month lease is 3895.00 a month for a 900 square foot apartment. What a rip off. The part that kisses me off most is the smart was smile on the manager. I tried to talk to her about anything reasonable. She just has the smartass smile and says, thats what it is.Also asked about the pool they have been saying will be started soon for 2 years. Manager said no start date yet, maybe 2019.Update. My lease is up next month. Im in the process of buying a house. My month to month rent goes from 1585.00 a month to 10,087.00 a month not a typo. Ten thousand eighty seven dollars. Be careful if you move in.Expect your rent to go up by over 200 per month if you renew. You wont want to renew, because parking is horrible. If you try to park after 6 pm the lots are full. You end up parking 3 to 4 blocks away. I recommend renting someplace else.Update to parking. My car was towed this week from my reserved parking spot, they wanted 225.00 to get it back. Last night, someone in my paid reserved parking spot. No place to park. No tow company. As for price of rent, do not stay here very long. I pay 200 more per month for a 2 bedroom than 3 seperate renters in a 3 bedroom. When i renewed my lease i got screwed big time.I recommend to stay away.Update. Bikes stolen again. So far 3 bikes and 1 bbq stolen. And hose to new bbq stolen.Update. People in dumpsters. Pretty much every day. The dumpster divers all know they have no one to stop them, so they are going through dumpsters during the day. I cant let my son walk the dog with all the homeless around here.Update. Where the dumpsters are is one for trash and one for Recycling. Recycling dumpster is same Size as big trash dumpster. I went to take my recycling out on Saturday morning at 8:30 am. Open lid to recycling dumpster. Boom. Homeless guy inside. Seems hes moved in.
Pretty upset I pay so much, and litterally have to park almost two blocks away from my apartment when I have a kid, and live on the third floor. So if I go grocery shopping I walk two blocks with a kid, up 3 flights then back to the car again for more trips. Staff is nice, but this is getting old really fast.UPDATE: new staff, and they are horrible and I feel very discriminative about people with health/mental issues. The manager had actually threatened me for not signing paper work because I was at work. Dog poop everywhere and all around the buildings, I bought a new lock for them to put on (supposed to be new) and they gave me a broken one and refused to change! DONT MOVE HERE!! 1400$ for a 2/2 bed bath on the third floor.
Worse apartment residence ive ever lived in. very very poor management., and complete liars. front office are non responsible for there actions a liars.
I was looking for housing and ecco apartments was one of my options. I really liked ecco but had a few other options I wanted to look at. The office employee Mara, suggested that we put the deposit down to secure the apartment in the case we decide to choose it over the other options. She repeatedly told us we would get the deposit back if we changed our minds and she said nothing of a possibly of loosing the deposit. Everytime we spoke with her she assured us all we had to do was come and pick up the deposit check if we decided we did not want it. (In fact she said even if we decided to move forward with the apartment and sign the lease we had an entire month to nullify the contract and get our deposit back.) I decided to rent a different property, and when I went to the ecco office to get my deposit back, the office manager told me I had lost my deposit because it was over 48 hours. I told the manager, Stephanie, what the employee, Mara, had said and Mara denied everything and completely and lied to my face in the office. This is immoral and wrong, Do not support this business they are shading and will lie to your face in order for you to give them your money.
Stay away. Parking if horrible. If you try to park after 6pm expect to park blocks away. All the lots will be full. They will raise your rent every renewal by large amounts.
Website sucks! Click on photos and floor plans - no photos or floor plans; click on amenities - no help there. Trying to refer a co-worker but wont be able to without the help of this site. Worthless.
