I went in to get my acrylics off and have never experienced anything quite like this. My fingers are still in pain 4 hours later. They began by just sanding them then he began to rip them off with a different acrylic nail. It was the most painful thing ever. After my finger was dripping blood, they then decide to soak them in acetone and foil( which how I’ve normally had them removed). The most unfortunate part they charged me for this service to get 4 of my nails ripped off. I paid so I could get out of there and just be done. As you can see my right hand is destroyed and my left hand had the acetone removal. My nails are throbbing and so tender because they are too short and partially ripped off. My left hand has my nails at my normal length. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
My sister in law is in town and her birthday is Wednesday. Each time she is in town we get our nails done together. We decided not to go recently due to the pandemic, but this time was different since it was her birthday nails! I searched for so many places on google and Yelp on nail shops near us, this one popped up about 20 minutes away. I am familiar with the area but never heard of the shop so I figured to give it a try. So glad we did!It is located in a “downtown” part of elmhurst. Plenty of street parking is available with 2 hour free parking. We called to make a late afternoon appointment on a Monday for two full sets and we were taken right away. They have a lot of colors for dip, no-chip, regular, etc. and the prices are fair for the great work! We received high-quality service from the moment we walked in and left. Our nail techs were Kim and Tony. Both were very welcoming, friendly, personable and caring. As soon as I sat down, Kim immediately introduced herself and started small talk. I really appreciated this kind gesture because I never been to a nail salon where the nail tech introduces their self and cares to know about me. Both Kim and Tony paid attention to our request and to the small details. After each step, Kim kept checking with me to make sure I was satisfied with my nails. After my full-set, Kim gave me a unexpected, much needed and amazing hand massage. It was so nice!In regards to COVID measures, they are doing a good job with taking the necessary precautions to make customers feel comfortable and “safe”. When you walk in, they do check your temperature, hand-sanitizer is provided, all staff have on mask, all pedicure chairs and for nails is seated apart and each nail station and pedicure chair where customer can sit has the plexiglass or window guards between the customer and nail tech. They have so many signs posted everywhere from where you are sitting to even on their walls. You can see from one of my photos they also have the social distancing stickers. They also accept quick pay for card-less payment which I appreciated because again the pandemic. If you don’t have card-less payment option, they do accept cards, but they do prefer tip in cash instead of on the card.I shared a picture above their pedicure stations, I like how they have the business name in glitter letters. I didn’t get a picture of it, but they had a cute decal on the wall “it’s all fun and games until someone breaks a nail”. I also shared a picture of where you can wash your wash your hands. It is only one sink, but the towels were freshly cleaned (you can smell the detergent).Highly recommend for your next pamper day!
Ive been coming here for years& always get exceptional service! Ken pays attention to details & does wonderful work. The new owner is friendly, organized, and professional. I will keep coming back!
I had acrylic nails taken off here and instead of soaking my nails to get them off (like youre supposed to do to minimize as much damage as possible) the tech ripped them off of my real nails, causing a lot of damage. I had an appointment too so it wasnt like I just walked in last minute close to closing. I then had a gel manicure done by a different tech and the work was shoddy and you could still see my real nails under the polish. A few friends were shocked when I said it was a gel manicure and not normal polish. Overall, I paid a lot of money for bad work and damaged nails.
Under new ownership. Very friendly. Most thorough manicure I’ve ever gotten. It’s been a year since I had my nails done and they did an AMAZING JOB. very covid safe as well
The salon is under new ownership! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and it has been great. New owners are very nice and professional. I got a pedi and mani and I have to say, it’s the best I’ve received so far! The tech I had thrown in a leg massage with my pedi that was amazing and very relaxing. I definitely recommend this place!
The guy doing my nails was really rude. And when I tipped him he didnt even say thank you.Wont be coming back here
This place is wonderful! Always welcoming and has a lot of has done a lot of things to make their place as safe as possible during the pandemic.
I went in to to get dip on my nails. The person that was doing my service overall was nice. But every request I made was denied. I knew my nails would not look exactly like the picture but I was still very disappointed. I asked for matte nails and thats not what I got. I also asked for a gold piece that was close to a stud but that was all they had. I went ahead and told them that was fine. They put it on with glue and you can still see the trail of the glue on the nail.
The people here are super nice. It is small and quaint inside. So you can sit and relax during your service without all the noise. My daughter got her eyelashes done here and she loved it!!!
This place is beautiful, spotless, and the nail techs are incredibly detailed, thorough, and skilled. Go here!
First time here... I had a dip done. Lisa did a great job!I will definitely come back.
I dont know where to start.....lets start with the cost, usually when I get a pedicure and not chip fingernails there is some kind of a cost reduction for the combo, not here $65. My feet were never massaged, really, for that price?? Then Jenny painted the toe nails and then proceeded to do my no chip finger nails. This was by far the worst manicure I have ever had. She was going so fast and did not take the time to correctly trim the cuticles, did not polish all the way to the cuticles and then missed spots. Absolutely horrible!!!! he. 20 minutes to do no chip manicure (anyone that has these done knows it takes longer than that), then I had to ask her to remove the polish off my fingers, what the heck???? I guess she was more interested in getting me out to move on to next person. If she really knew what she was doing and cared about customer service she would know that getting repeat customers and referrals is much better for business. Needless to say I will not go back and by no means will I refer anyone. I paid way to much for this really bad service and will now have to pay someone else in a week.
Everyone here is so sweet and professional. I just wish they were closer to my home. Christina and Kim are the sweetest. Great selection of nail polish too
Love it, but if you go ask for Jenni. Last visit she wasnt there, therefore fingernails not done with her expertise.
LOVE LOVE them! Amazing always do a great job with my nails!
Love this place. The only place I go since discovering it. Clean, friendly staff, timely with no long waits, amazing job for a great price. Highly recommend.
Staff and services are very good! Location is so convenient and it is clean and looks great on the inside. Great place for women and men.
Worst manicure I’ve gotten in years. I had to wait for 25 minutes despite having an appointment (it wasn’t even busy) and then my manicure was super rushed and sloppy. All of the nails were different shapes and had rough edges. The nail polish was so sloppy I will be redoing it myself. I will not be returning.
I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years . The prices got much higher and the quality and service got much lower. They’re more interested in getting on to the next person then they are with the quality . Jenny and Nick are the only ones worth coming for . So disappointed
Went in today for an acrylic fill in, the wait was a little long, but understandable because of the holidays. Kim was my nail technician and she was great. Will be going back.

I have had no-chips at Trendi for more than a year. There is a difference in results depending on who you are with, but generally good service overall.
Friendly ownership, takes pride in their work!
Nice place good parking friendly staff
Jeine made my nails exactly how I wanted them done - she genuinely cares about her customers.
Love this place!!
Really friendly and nice
My nails look like crap, they had to re-do them, they were not careful so my cuticles were bleeding and still ended up paying A LOT of $$...
