I’ve been going to Mando’s for years. Recently he retired, and some of the barbers took over. They have made many improvements to the establishment. The service and the great haircuts have not changed. I usually go with Val, but when she is unavailable, any of the other barbers have taken good care of me and given me an excellent haircut as well. They are very welcoming and has a great family atmosphere.I highly recommend. Make an appointment so you don’t have to waot too long.

Best place to get a haircut. Mando has retired and sold this business to a few of the barbers. Small improvements and updates have given this business a big boost. Highly recommend this place, barbers are professional and cut your hair the way you want it.

I took my nephew there to get a cut for the first time, he’s been getting the same “edgar” cut for a couple of years now, he knows exactly what he wants, and told her that, unfortunately the lady with short blonde dyed hair just gave him a high fade and my nephew was not smart enough to tell her to stop whatever she was doing and messed up the cut he wanted. She kept on saying he asked for a high fade but “low” and “high” don’t even rhyme, so I don’t know how she assumed that, plus he had the hair style already just longer. She couldn’t careles and had zero empathy.

Their priority is to have lunch instead of taking care of the customer.I got there at 2:30, waited 15 min to be told in a rude way by the owner that he was hungry and he was going to have lunch.I went at 2:30 for the same reason, I changed my lunch hour to get a hair cut.

Ruth did a great job shes very nice and professional. Mandos has a great family environment.

Ive gone before and had great experiences, however the lady that cut my hair today did not do a good job at all, she rushed through the cut, line up is crooked and poorly done, and I did not get what I asled for! I am so dissappointed!

Just started going there this year and Xochi cuts my hair on a regular basis. She does a great job. I have had others there cut my hair when she was not available and they too do a great job too. The atmosphere is calm, not rushed and professional service. Its a great place to talk football or exchange a joke or two with the people there.

Sr mando needs to retire way too stubborn, stopped him mid hair cut to tell him it was wrong and he didnt fix the problem and told me it was a good hair cut like really bro u know what I like ur me huh.?

I’ve been going here for almost 8 years now and have left satisfied every single time. The shop has an awesome atmosphere and the barbers are all nice. The amenities such as a soda machine, large TVs and plenty of comfortable seats in the waiting area makes it a comfortable wait time experience. I personally recommend Jackie. I exclusively only get my haircut with her by appointment as I am as picky as they come when it comes to my hair. She never fails to satisfy!! She is a huge asset to the business and is constantly booked with appointments so that says a lot about her work! Keep up the good work! And love the new renovations made by the way!

Just asked for a low fade from the girl in the second chair in the left she did it in 15 minutes and was on a hurry my hair look like it got cut from a begginer do not recommend

Best barber in the east side

Everyone I know has gotten awesome haircuts here! When we went in today, everyone there looked good too! Except for my son. He got his haircut by Lily. First, I showed her a pic of what I wanted. She looked at it for less than a millisecond. She pointed to a little boy in the shop and asked me if I wanted it like him. I said no. She then asked if I wanted a 1 on top? I told her that was too short but maybe a 2 or 2 1/2 would be good. She said, but you want it short. I said yes but not that short. So she proceeded to shave his whole head with a 1. I was upset but she started from the top so there was no going back at that point. She proceeded to give him a fade. She did not blend it at all! It was a horrible crooked line! She also hurt his neck. It was visibly red and looked painful. I immediately walked back in to have his hair blended correctly. She looked bothered and said, its cause he didnt let himself. Which is a lie because I was a few feet away the whole time. He was making faces because he was in pain but he didnt move at all. Also, she kept telling him Ya! ya! to hush him cause he was whimpering because of the pain. We left after she fixed it but it still looked horrible! When we got outside in the sun, you can see several patches that still had long hair! Im beyond upset but its not like I could complain because shes the owners wife. Dont get me wrong, this is an amazing barber shop and I definitely will return but not with her! The 1 star rating is from my experience today with Lily only. Normally, I would leave 5 stars because they are that good.

Disappointed. I seldomly go to the barber and have been here before and liked the service... But not anymore. Ive been growing my hair and wasnt able to clean it up before an interview so I called first thing in the morning to see if there was availability as a walk in since I had an interview at 10:00am and the barber who answered assured me there was space. I showed up at 8:45 and both seats were occupied with another customer waiting. I figured Id still have time so I waited another 45 minutes and there was no sign theyd be done soon. Now Im heading to my interview looking like a shaggy dog. Will now be looking for a new barber.

Must be the hubris of a shop owner who been in business for too long time that he gets so complacent that he would neglect professionalism and the courteousness of keeping track of the customer who is next in line by having them write their name down on a list. Basically they just have the employee come up and ask whos next in line and expect them to know whos next? Wow. Thats arrogance or just laziness. I think the shop only cares about the money that comes in from the volume of customers. I walked out after being skipped twice and walked next door to get a 7 dollar haircut and got a better service than the last lady who botched my hair at this place in review. Literally left a chunk of hair cut out from the corner of my head because she was too busy talking to someone else. Really. Lol. And they probably still wonder why I only give them a 3 dollar tip. This place next door did a way better job. The lady took her time. Wasnt distracted and was very kind. She earned a tip from me well worth over what the cost of the haircut was because thats what a good haircut and service is worth. So I would say this place is not worth what they charge. By no chance at all. Im sorry but this is a huge error in judgment for common sense practice in business ethic.

Dont go to this barber shop. This place is a joke. I brought my 14 year old to get a cut as his barber was all booked today. A young girl gave home the cut and it ducked. It was still long on the top sides of the head. When I asked to cut more off she actually went to go ask if she needed to charge more. WTF?? Not a good place. This aint a real barber shop!! Will never come back here!

Ive been going there since 2004 with either Mando Sr. or Rudy. Both barbers are excellent and would recommend either one. Pricing is fair and competitive and the shop is kept extremely clean and well maintained.

Valerie is my barber and she always done a great job on my hair. If you go on a Saturday make sure you make an appointment. They are very busy. Go Raiders!!!

You can make an appointment with your favorite barber but they are really all great. I just walk in and get my haircut done in about 15 minutes while everyone wants for their appointment. Good prices and great service. Mandos is the only barber shop I use!

Asked for a low fade and to leave the length on the top. Instead what I received was a completely botched and messy high fade whithout any transition into the longer length on top, which was cut a lot despite my asking to leave it alone. I showed pictures of what I wanted to the barber, but despite my showing her what I wanted, she gave me something completely different. I understand that perhaps this was an issue with the individual barber and not the barber shop, but for $12 you are far better off and safer going to Eastside Barber shop or Iron Cuts. I understand that experiences will be different depending on the individual barber and maybe perhaps my communication failed despite me showing her pictures, but the elderly lady who cut my hair simply did not do a good job and I would not recommend spending hard earned money here. (Edit: I uploaded a photo of my haircut, that is not a fade, much less a low one.)

Got a terrible haircut from a female on the left side. Did not listen to my request. I do not like lineups and she lined up me, severely incorrect. She even requested a new hairstyle on me but I believe it was because she messed up to bad that she had to make sense of what she did to me. Very dissapointed and will not go back. I guarantee theres other barbershops where you can get a decent haircut.
