I’m from out of town and needed a cut. I’m pretty particular with my hair. This place was clean, organized, and very attentive. They take their time and do it right. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry because they don’t rush any cuts. Hats off to management.

I’m always very satisfied with my haircut and even when they become busy they still take there time and don’t cut corners. I hadnt cut my hair in over twenty years. Finally got tired of the wind tangles from my motorcycle walked in and Elisa did an awesome job putting me at ease. Got a great cut from her, been going back once a month ever since.

Great haircut exactly like I like it. It seems like most places want to cut your hair like they want to, but here they listen. The staff are all friendly and make you feel wanted. The shampoo and head massage is nice too, even though it almost lulled me to sleep. =) Highly recommend it!

Theyre a little more on the expensive side (compared to base or some other places) but they always have sports playing, I never have to wait or if I do its generally only for a few minutes AND I never have to tell them what kind of hair cut I want since they keep track of what style you want. Great place and really friendly staff too. Ive had maybe a total of 3 or 4 different people cut my hair there and they were all consistent with how they cut (i.e. theres no one Id avoid or prefer to wait for)

One of my worst haircut experience ever. The lady that started cutting my hair was horrible. Didnt listen when I told her to go with the grain, started going against the grain at the bottom and made my hair uneven. Then had the nerve to ask me to look at the cut, as if she was finished. The tapered cut I asked for, was not even close to a taper. Another barber came to assist, she did an ok job; but you can tell she knew my hair was messed up and not able to be fixed, but she tried to. Then she messed up my lineup. I did ask for everything to be lined up, but I didnt want to be in the chair any longer. Will never come nor recommend this place to anyone. If youre a barber, you should know how to cut and not be scared to cut. If you mess up, just say you messed up instead of trying to fix it. This place needs to really inspect and make sure they have quality and qualified barbers on shift.

Fantastic place!! As soon as I walked in, I received a very warm welcome & was quickly assisted by my stylist, Dee. After a quick discussion and some advice, I received an excellent cut and wash. The atmosphere is very comfortable & clean. This was my first time visiting the shop, but it will definitely not be my last. When you go, ask for Dee!

I’m so glad I found cool joe cuts! I had been looking for a new haircut place that was close to my work. I stumbled upon this spot this week and all I have to say is, WOW. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted. I wanted to try a new hairstyle and the guy who was helping me provided a lot suggestions. I was even more happy they offered more than just a haircut. I was able to get a shampoo as well as my beard shaped. The price was definitely worth it too. I have been going to Cool Joes for several months now. I always get great service. I usually have the barber Charlie cut my hair. If any of my friends ask where to get a good cut I sent them here.

Okay place, but there are always new employees when I go in; never the same people cutting hair other than the manager. Sometimes a new person does a good job, but next visit they are gone and have to hope new person is just as good. Prices are not any less than other places. Not much different than any other chain.

Found Cool Joe about a year ago after trying many others in El Paso. Angie is the only person in this town I let cut my flat top. Why? Because she not only knows how to do it correctly, she routinely is taking the time to teach others, the right way to cut it (impressive). Little to no wait time, walk ins are welcome. Her location is always spotless, I always get greeted and treated like a Rock Star as do all of the customers and why I keep going back. They go the extra mile. The shop has a cool environment which appeals to all ages, both men and women and kids too which I have personally seen Angie and her staff go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy. If you leave here upset or unsatisfied, ya might want to look in the mirror. Highly recommended!

Clean friendly environment. Specializes in mens and boys haircuts, but they will do a simple female cut. I like that they save all the styles in detail about your previous visits so they can refer to it if you want that former cut. I gave 3 stars because they used to let you sit in the cutting area as Im taking my small son and I dont feel comfortable in the waiting room as hes getting his hair cut he gets nervous, but they said the owner doesnt allow it.

The building is clean and wait time is short, if any. Dee is the stylist to go see. She is kind, helpful, patient and friendly. She takes her time and always does an impressive job on both my sons and husbands hair. She takes her time, pays attention to details, and b makes certain her people are happy.

Very disappointed seeing a kid walk out the place with a messed up haircut. Not only he paid for it he came back for a fix and can’t believe the stylist was just cutting his hair like it was a race. Can’t believe y’all call yourselves “professionals” but shout out to the ones that do fantastic work there and do a good job of taking care of their client.

Been a happy customer for the last six months or so. Its a great alternative to the usual chains. Its not a barber shop, so no razors. I havent had a bad experience yet.

Took my husband here, i usually cut his hair since im a stylist but havent had the time after having my daughter . The atmosphere was nice . Shampoo bowls are updated, shop looks clean but the cut could have been better

It took me about 40 minutes to get cut but good thing they got TVs everywhere so you got something to watch. My cut was on point with Charlie he looks at your hair from different angles to get that fade right, coming from a victim of horrible fades I appreciated the skills

1st and last time there. Advertised in areas of media as a barbershop because of their beard trim services, i presume. Ya, they beard trim but are unable to straight razor like a traditional barber so i opted for a cut only. The fade was way off and went straight to an actual barber place to remove the lines of hair left and to even me out. I would normally be very upset but this was so bad the barber and i had a good laugh. Place was clean, lady that cut my air was polite and said shed been there a while. Customer service overall was cold. Good luck duuuuudes!!!

New cool joe cuts. Place is still growing with customers. I’ve been twice and have had the same stylist. While the cut is nothing special, she did do a good job. Reason for three stars is it seems they prefer certain customers. A Dad and his kid walked in and both stylist took 45 minutes to finish both cuts. (both very basic cuts) They continued to stop cutting and just chit chat. Incredibly annoying waiting over an hour. They need to create an application such as super cuts where you can check in online.

My husband got a haircut there and they didnt know how to fade. Two stylists tried to fix his hair to no avail. He looks like he has a bowl cut. Now we have to find another stylist and pay to fix their bad haircut. Hes a first time client, this was a first impression to gain a new client. Its safe to say we will not be going back.

Review. I’ve been going to Cool Joes for a few months now. It wasn’t long before I found a great stylist, Dee. She’s awesome and this post has no bearing on her. The staff is great, friendly, and the place is good overall. However, I won’t be going back for the following reason. Today, I walked in with one stylist and all chairs were empty. I was informed that the wait was 40mins and apparently the clients had stepped out or something. About a week ago I called nd asked to make an appointment and was told it’s walk-in. Anyway, how can you let a repeat customer walk out when the chairs are empty. Not a good operations decision. My cut takes like 20 mins tops. If your open you should take customers. Anyway I found a new place and they were ready to cut my hair. Peace.

I would usually come here to get my haircuts because of the location and it’s usually not so busy however my last visit which was on 2/15/19 there was a new girl working and not only did my haircut come out horrible but what should’ve taken 10-15 mins took her 50 mins. Keep in mind I was the only customer in the store. Won’t be back any time soon.
