Kristin Kildahl has by far the worst bed side manner. She was more interested in her computer and did not pay attention to my answers and i had to repeat myself frequently.

I met with professional and experienced staff. I found a great DBT support system here. Services are individualized to client needs.

Undergoing a DBT group skills course through Mental Health Systems, PC was more of a detriment than a benefit to myself and my family. Mental Health Systems, PC is simply unwilling to meet their client’s reasonable needs and expectations. They dont seem to practice ethical boundaries. The company hires students with little or no experience. Many failed to respond to our email and voicemail questions/concerns. Each therapist, whom I interacted with, presented as white. There is almost no diversity in the culture of MHS. Some therapists moonlight, and have multiple jobs outside of the company.I was assigned to Maggie Graham and, based on my experience, she was unprofessional, uncooperative, and didn’t really understand her role as a group therapist. In all fairness, some therapists on the team were somewhat knowledgable, but most didn’t seem to grasp the intentions that Linnehan had for delivering DBT, nor do they respect client boundaries. When I entered the group, the MHS intake worker assured me that my insurance would cover the services. However, three months in to the program, MHS told me that they made a mistake and asserted that we would need to cough up hundreds of dollars if, I intended to graduate from the program successfully.Know your rights. Clients are not obligated to pay for services that MHS gives you, if/when they dont have your consent before giving you that service.I never would have gone here for DBT, if I knew they would be billing me instead of my insurance. The intake worker told me they accept my insurance policy, and it covers the group skill-based course in full. My insurance company verified that Mental Health Services, PC was an in-network provider and the group therapy was covered. Yet, MHS billed, retroactively, for one month of services then demanded an out-of-pocket payment plan in exchange for continued services. They told me it was because the provider that they placed me with had a second job so there was conflict of interest.Well, MHS why didn’t you put me in a group with a provider who wasn’t moonlighting/creating conflicts of interests? It’s basically an insurance scam. After reading another similar review, it seems like MHS has a pattern of this type conduct. I would not trust them with my health care or the care of a loved one.In summary, If you have 4-5 hours each week to waste, do DBT here. If you value your time, money, and are genuinely interested in gaining skills and support, go elsewhere. MHS misses the mark.

The DBT Horizons is the worst ever my son started there his behavior has gotten worse. When you have a phone call into the therapist she never calls you back. We called like 10 times to her and she never called us back. My son was about to graduate and this company held him back because he had a so-called relationship with somebody that she started it and he told her to stop he kept on telling her that and three days before he graduated they prolong his stay for more money from our state of Minnesota this is the worst absolutely worst place for therapy dont ever ever go hear or have your children go hear all they want is State money they dont care about your patients or nothing all they want is insurance money or money from the state the worst therapist ever I would never recommend this place to anybody
