There are a lot of things that I like about these apartments but unfortunately for me the cons outweigh the pros. All the staff at this community is very nice. Erica, Gloria, Jose, and George are excellent. I love that this is a gated community. I felt safer.. maintenance issues were fixed promptly. Any issues I brought to their attention were corrected. Any thing Negative that I may say is not a reflection of them, but either the community set up, corporate issues, or neighbours.A/C: I lived in a one bedroom one bath upstairs. Although these apartments have a/c, it is only a window unit. With the way the heat is rising in California, the AC unit does not keep your apartment cool. I am not exaggerating... it is 100 out side and it is 91 in the apt. Also due to the fact that the windows are not double pane windows, heat and coldness penetrate through the windows. They are not energy efficient windows. The A/C does not reach the bedroom either. If you get a portable a/c for the room, it will barley help and have you confined to that one room all summer.Amenities: I would not suggest renting a unit near any of the amenities. Granted due to covid, everything was shut down the whole time I was here. But towards the beginning and in the end of my lease, I could see the basketball courts being an issue. The basketball courts are open till 10:00 p.m. on cool nights when you want to sleep with your window open, all you hear is people yelling and the ball hitting the concrete. Sucks for someone who has to go to bed early. It is a nusaiance. Also, people will be out there playing long past 10pm. Due to covid, you have to get passes to use the amenities, which is a pain in the butt... we are all adults here...Laundry: Halfway through My lease they changed the washing and drying machines. The new machines are very small compared to what was there before and cost more money. They are always erroring out and not completing your wash or accepting your card. There were more than 4 occasions where I loaded the laundry, as well as the soap, and the machine did not work. It got to a point where I stopped washing here altogether and just took my laundry to my parents house to wash because it is too costly and inconvenient when it doesnt work properly. The last week I was here, the laundry room closed for 2 days.Neighbors: I lived here from January 2020 to April 2021. November 2021 is when it started to become loud in my area. One unit must have just moved from a home to apts because they play their music like they live in a house.. it is Moreso the base in the speakers. My neighbor who I shared a wall with moved and I got the neighbors from hell... this is a pet friendly community so peoples dogs would bark all day and night. Younger people moved near me, and they would fight, yell, slam doors,all night as if they didnt share a wall with someone. It is a non smoking community in common areas but people still smoke weed and it blows into your apt if your window is open..Over all I give this community a 8 out of 10. As I previously stated, the employees are awesome... but the people they have moving in bring down the community.

I like this place its very comfortable and all the rooms were cleaned when I arrived but the only thing is the people who just smoke 🚬 close to the trash bin they are all just scary and creepy. But if they get rid of smoking there then it would be 5 stars

I called to get information about the available units, Erika was very nice and informative and we were going to meet next day. I called to inform I was outside because I wasnt sure were the leasing office was and a rude lady answered and said that they dont open until 9:00am. I understand that part but her tone of voice and lack of professionalism got me impressed I was just letting them know I had arrived. She said Im sure no one told you to come before 9. I was driving from far and trying to make it on time. I didnt even took the chance to step out of the car...I also see im not the only one having a bad experience over the phone.

I made an appointment at 9am and arrived at 857am to make sure I was on time as I live far fromnthe location, the manager answered the phone when I called, and she was rude and disrespectful to me and my wife over the phone, stating that it was close and that she was sure nobody advised me to be there at 857 am. So we decided to take our business elsewhere were we could have been treated decently...

I have been living here for a little over 2 years and I love it here. The new management company really cares about its residents and the staff is always helpful and responsive. Maintenance request are always done promptly. I’m glad I made the decision to make this my new home for me and my family

Ive lived here for about two years and havent had very many complaints. The complaints I have had, have always been dealt with by the management in a timely, professional manner. All of the employees are very polite, friendly and always willing to help when it is needed. It is always clean, maintained and safe. all in all, my stay here has been very pleasant and comfortable. I look forward to staying here for many more years.

I havent lived here long but I love it here. the staff is always helpful. they respond quick to my concerns. and the gym is my favorite part. if your looking for an apartment, consider living here.

I’ve been living here for 5 years and haven’t had any issues with management. It’s a pleasant area and building to live in. I’m not happy with the yearly rent increases, but, there seems to be no rent control for this area. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my stay here.

I came to visit my sister, and i was impressed with these apartments. I love how welcoming the people who work here are, and how clean it is.

So I lived here for 4 years. At first it was great, the apartment layout was awesome (and was what really kept me there for so long). After a while, my upstairs neighbors had moved. The manager gloria moves in a lady who was waay to noisy. She would blow dry her hair at 4am. We had 2 sit down meetings with the noisy neighbor and the manager gloria. In the end the noisy tenant moved. gloria, the manager, rents the upstairs to a lady and her two kids. Her kids were noisy, but it was acceptable for most of the time since it was before 11pm. The new tenant liked to bring an African American boyfriend for sleep overs. She would moan sexually in the middle of the night. I mean she did not hold her self back at all. Told the manager gloria about it and she thought it was funny. It got to the point where we had to call the police at least once a week. This really got me pissed off because the manager knew that we had problems with the first noisy neighbor, yet she rents out the top space to a worse lady than the first and has 3 kids. Then she laughs it off like it aint nothing. So I moved out of this place because we couldnt take it no more. We needed to get our sleep and it was not happening here at this place.So when I leave... She takes my deposit of about $1800 and keeps it. She said that I broke a mirror on the closet door, when I had reported that when I moved in. She said that I should have told someone about it and I did. I told her employee (who got fired, probably because shes as incompetent as her manager gloria) about it and she said she would make a note. What a great note she left. They make you pay for a trash and sewage company that changes every few months to another company. It seems really sketchy and seems like gloria was getting a kick back for it. That company charged you what they wish every month. It would range from $55-$80 on top of your rent. The more they come to pick up trash, the more they will charge, but not just for you, the whole lot. They divide the cost between 200+ apartments. So if you are careful with your water use, dont have a lot of trash or sewage, it dont matter. You have to pay for everyone else as well. Whats the point of being earth friendly when you have to pay for others who arent? Why should you have to pay for other peoples trash? I know this for a fact because when I left for 3 weeks, I didnt use any water, didnt throw away any trash and didnt shoot anything down the sewage disposal, yet I paid $70 that month when usually I paid $50 for a whole month of use... This was during Christmas when everyone was dumping their trees and had to have the trash company come more than triple the amount of times they usually would.The reason I am writing this review is because after living in these conditions for so long, after giving up so much money on my deposit and putting up with this poorly managed complex, they have the nerve to send me a $600 bill saying that I owe... After they took my $1800.The apartments are also flimsy and not well made. The floor is not even, telling you the foundation is off. They make you sign a contract saying that if you get injured on their property, they are not responsible. Basically telling you to sign a waiver to live there. When I first moved in, a tree had fallen into an apartment, damaging the persons belongings (luckily no injuries) and it was not covered. You cant take them to court either since you signed the waiver.Keep your money and rest well elsewhere. I guarantee you will not be happy living here. For the price, there are so many other options.Oh I forgot to mention, they had closed the pool for about a year because some one took a deuce in it... Got to the point that I never even went in the pool for the whole 4 years I lived there. Tells you how the management runs the complex.My car was also broken into twice..I wasnt going to write a review of this place, but after leaving here, I am still being hunted by this place and it feels disgusting.

The person that had posted the review his names is:Kevin rated one star.The leasing agent as well as management ( Gloria ) that runs the grounds of the Windwood apartments in West Covina is not a fair person. She will only approve people that are welling to spy on you if you are of her race. There are so many people that will snitch you out in a heartbeat.Gloria just wants to see Latino of her race living there in that complex. she will rent to any gang affiliated individual. Even though that is gated all around the complex for security purposes, there are absolutely no locks on the two gate doors facing Amar St. and the one where the drive way is facing on Lark Ellen Ave someone had push the security screen out and it makes it easy for just anyone to walk in. Gloria does not have any consideration for any of the tenants there at Windwood Apartments. There are a lot more things that need to be addressed there as will. I will be sending a letter to the owner here in the next week. Please think twice before renting at Windwood Apartments in West Covina. There is no deal for anything when you move in there. There are a lot of people moving because of the management ( Gloria ). Thank you for your time....I would like to add to what he had type above. I agree with that 100%. Gloria Solis is a crooked individual. When problems occur right in front of her she will act as if nothing had taken place. I feel that what Kevin had mention above is true. She will only push to rent to Latino people. If you value your family you would think twice before sign a lease. The complex is starting to go down hill. there are breake ins in cars in the parking lot. And gangs are starting to move in and take over.

Horrible full of cockroaches and when we finished our contralto they did not return anything more than 18 dollars from our deposit of 500 despite having delivered the apt clean and without breaks of any kind with the pretext that they had to pay to paint and clean to The new tenants also at Christmas stole wn our car many belongings and are not responsible for anything my surveillance cameras have. . In short, very bad experience

People are very calm, you dont see riots and the place keeps it clean
