I was looking for a new stylist, and decided to splurge and book my cut and color with their Expert Stylist, Tom. It was pricey…but WORTH IT. I had high expectations, and he totally exceeded them. The cut I wanted required a lot of precision and skill, and he nailed it. And the color he achieved? AMAZING! Tom is a brilliant stylist and I’m so pleased with my hair!Ryan has been really helpful when I’ve stopped in to buy product or called with questions. The salon is comfortable and clean, and has that uniquely lovely Aveda smell.

I woke up and was trying to find a place to get my nails done before my trip to Mexico and after looking for places online I found this one that was like 4 minutes away from me. I called them and made an appointment for less than an hour later (which was great)! I’m a really picky person when it comes to nails and I wasn’t 100% happy with how it was done. Parts of my nail on the side and on top without any color, which was fine since I was avoiding looking at my nails from really close. But just realized, less than 2 days later that one of my nails is chipped. The whole purpose of getting gel done and having my nails looking good for almost 2 weeks was completely ruined! Definitely not worth it paying $55

Ive been here twice now with others and its been great each time!The first time my daughter got gel nails and this time my sister got a haircut (because I knew it was so nice from before) and Joan was awesome.We really loved her! She was down to earth, funny, friendly and Joan did a beautiful job! My sister wanted a short haircut and it turned out better than we could have hoped!

Plenty of parking. Front desk staff looked very annoyed, definitely wanted to be somewhere else, the are basically place holders. With out much instruction we were handed a key and directed to the changing room. Peaceful waiting area, nice ambiance. I had a deep tissue massage that was fantastic, scalp massage add on was very nice. My girlfriend had a skinny massage with a skinny wrap add on. She was very appreciative of the person she worked with but not with the treatment. Very expensive…understand the treatment before spending your money.

I had a bad experience with them turning my hair black and I called the next day and they wouldnt get me in with the same lady to get it fixed. They were very rude. I called to schedule an appointment for a facial and the lady wouldnt let me do so without putting a credit card on file. I didnt feel comfortable doing that. They told me it was due to my no shows. I havent no showed appointments before.

I’ve been a costumer for years at the Eden Prairie location and have not had any issues until recently when I booked a Brazilian blowout that I had to end up canceling due to a trip out of the city. Mind you I made the cancellation over the phone over 24 hours prior to the time my service was booked. Yet I received a call from the manager at the time I had initially been booked informing me that I would be charged for the entirety of the service because I was a no-show! Not only was I not informed of this before the fact, but I did indeed cancel the appointment in a timely manner. The issue here is poor communication overall, and that’s what I told the manager who then questioned my “integrity”, and hung up on me. When I called back to confirm that I wouldn’t be charged for their mistake she agreed but then proceeded to ‘flag’ me from being accommodated for any service, at least at the Eden Prairie locations. Very rude and unprofessional treatment that all stemmed from their misgivings. I really hope the staff at the other locations has more discretion and respect for customers.

I live in Eden Prairie drove by this place many, many times. I finally went in to enquire about service and to get more info on their facials. The two ladies at the desk were nice, provided me with a pamphlet, and explained some of the services to give me a heads up. Reading some of the reviews, I pray that when I make my appointment, I can come back on here to provide an excellent review because I am looking to be a regular customer if possible,

Once I sat down in the chair I was told, “We usually charge more for textured hair. An extra $10-$15”. My white mother who also has curly hair was not told this when she had hers done. I also told them before coming in that I had curls and was reassured that they could cut curly hair. I scrolled down these reviews and I noticed theres other reviews regarding racial discrimination with hair at this location. The hairdresser also started brushing out my curls dry? Very obvious she’s seldom dealt with black hair.If you cannot cut ALL types of hair on the spot, then you cannot cut hair period. I have never been told by a hairdresser that I need to “request more time when scheduling a hair appointment with us” because of my hair texture before this. I just had her straighten it and cut it that way because I immediately felt uncomfortable having her handle hair she obviously isnt used to/ wasnt trained to.She didn’t charge me for changing my mind and having her straighten it before the cut, but the embarrassment I felt from how her words made me feel was pricey enough. I left a hefty tip out of habit but once I got home and processed things I wish I didn’t leave anything. If you’re anything but white and you have “textured hair”, this place isn’t poc/ black people friendly. Respect yourself and your beautiful natural hair and go elsewhere.I’ll leave the particular hairdressers name out of this review because I don’t think these policies are her decisions, but this establishment needs to start training their employees on every single hair type if they want to claim that they can do hair.

She released tension and knots in my upper back and neck I didn’t know I had. It was so worth the money and time that I want to come back over and over to her, pregnant or not. I visited for the first time today, and I had a great experience. I felt very welcomed, COVID safe, and pampered while I was there.I had one of the best facials of my life with Shannon in Eden Prairie. She did an amazing job; I felt so wonderful after the service. My skin was glowing and I was beyond relaxed. I enjoyed myself so much, I booked an additional service to prolong my experience.Next I had a blow-out with Quinn, which was an awesome treat. She made my hair look and smell sooo nice. I felt fantastic and spoiled upon leaving the salon, and yet it didn’t cost an arm and a leg! I will definitely be going back again!Treat Yo-self!! 😆

Love the spa here. It is set up nicely and definitely puts you into relaxation mode. The changing rooms are small but nice & kept very clean - 2 stalls, 2 showers, locker/changing area, vanity. There is a separate coed waiting area for spa guests. They provide the usual spa goodies; infused water, teas, relaxing music in the background. Ive found the staff to be very friendly & accomodating. You get what you pay for here. It is on the higher end but well worth it. If youre going to spend the money, this is a great place to do it as you will not be disappointed.My only little, minor complaint is... the sandals they provide for the spa side. They are too small for anyone who is a size 8 or above. Ive seen other ladies bring in their own shower sandals & have heard others complain about this in the changing area, so I know its not just me.

I just want to give a big shout out to Sarah, who I just talked with on the phone. She was the nicest person ever, which is such an important part of the experience. :) She took into consideration my requests and was very helpful. It was such a breath of fresh air, after talking to several not too nice people at other saloons. I’m excited for my appointment!

Absolutely love the service here and the flexibility. Staff are great, shout out to Brie for the new awesome look! Price is a bit higher than your average, but your after look is beyond average. Great service, excellent price for what you get.

The Holidays are coming and Im writing this as a buyer beware. Do not buy giftcards from their online website. You cannot use them at Sanctuary and youll end up with a giftcard that can only be used at Aveda. Desiree who is the manager was no help nor was corporate because all sales are final. I have been going to this salon for years and loved my stylist and spent on average at least $250 every time I went in and now they have completely lost me as a customer.

Consummate professionals! Brie does a great job with my hair and Joan...who mans the front desk...is the epitome of patience and kindness! On a recent visit I watched her deal with a phone call that was quite time consuming but she couldnt have been more gracious with the caller while letting me know I wasnt forgotten. Thats a rare quality!!

I’ve had my hair cut and colored several times now by Tom Pepin. He is fantastic! I love what he does with color! The salon is inviting and comfortable. They really pay attention to every little detail from drinks to warm towels to heated bean bag wraps for your shoulders and even the chairs in the winter time. I feel very welcome and pampered here!

10/10 recommend booking an appointment with Taylor. She truly listens to your hair vision and then somehow makes it 1000% times better than what you originally planned on having it look like! Love her work and cant say enough great things! Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with her- she knows what she’s doing and you’ll be blown away by how gorgeous your hair looks!

I have loved being been papered there! Many times it has been on short notice and they have happily found a skilled stylist.

I paid for a 80 minute massage which only received 60. The therapist did not know what she was doing and felt like someone putting sun tan lotion on and not rubbing it in. No pressure even when I asked for more. The worst part was I emailed the establishment about my concern, after spending almost $400 bucks on services and product, and after a week not a email or phone call about my concerns. Also being a Aveda product salon you would expect the kind of service and quality that goes with an Aveda product. A simple response would have kept a bad remark from a customer.

I recently had a massage and manicure here, and both the providers were top-notch and very professional. They did a great job, and I love the relaxing environment there, too. No one rushes you out the door. Will definitely be back!

Had a great experience here. Comfortable, quick and friendly service, and the stylist really listened to what I was looking for. Most importantly, I loved my haircut.

I had the Sanctuary Pedicure – an hour and a half long gloriously pampering experience. Barb, you are the best! Upon arriving, I was offered cucumber water and ushered into a room with floor to ceiling glass looking out to a beautiful landscape. Barb was very gracious and made the whole experience very calming. The footbath was just the right temperature and the sound of the flowing water added to the soothing experience. I’m glad I wore short pants because I didn’t realize that she would massage and exfoliate my calves as well as my feet. Having the hot towels on my feet felt great, I sipped on tea, and entirely enjoyed the whole experience. When she was done with the top coat, I was able to go sit quietly in a dimly lit room with comfy chairs and more cucumber water available if I wanted. I sat for a few minutes to let the polish finish drying. I left feeling thoroughly rejuvenated and my feet have never looked or felt better! I highly recommend Sanctuary and Barb. Thank you, Barb!

Joan is awesome!I always wear my hair straight. My hair is VERY curly and I was going to the western part of India in May of this year. It is very humid there and the temperature would go up to 100-120f. Joan recommended me that I should do Brazilian Blow Out before I left for India. (I have been going to Joan for my hair at Sanctuary Eden Prairie location for the last 8 years)It worked great! My hair stayed straight and I did not have to straighten my hair for at least a couple of day.I would recommend Joan to all the ladies who have curly hair and would like to enjoy straight hair in summer! Trust me it works!!!

Awesome people awesome service. Been here for a haircut and styling for a night out a few times and the stylist was knowledgeable and very nice, as are all the employees here. They’re very helpful and actually know what they’re talking about. Aveda has been my go to to hair products for years, and I’ll continue to come here for as long as I can.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sanctuary! Ive only been here for massages, but have never had a bad experience. My husband and I had a wonderful couples massage a few days before our wedding. It was OUTSIDE in a quaint little gazebo while there was a light rain... it was so romantic and relaxing before our big day! A year later, I started going for prenatal massages and could NOT recommend it more! They have a table where a piece slides out so youre not laying directly on your stomach, but can still lay face down and get a good back massage! Now, I just go to Sanctuary for a massage whenever I need to relax. The locker rooms are beautiful and the whole experience of getting a massage here is just top notch. (PS- Angela is who I usually recommend to people! Shes great!)

I had a massage with Winter today and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. Winter was kind and professional, you can tell she has great experience in her field. Cassidy was a wonderful nail technician, she has done my nails twice now and was wonderful both times. I will see both again.

I figured since I wasn’t cutting my hair I’ll work with her - mistake! I walked out half way thru AND WAS STILL CHARGED for the service (albeit a discount was applied). Utterly ridiculous.I get the “new talent” - everyone has to start somewhere, but... Be transparent and let clients choose. Offer a discounted rate for services. Make sure the mentor is there to remedy the situation.So disappointed!

I called to set up a prenatal massageI asked the price and got it booked, after she then notified me that because I am pregnant I am going to be charged $15 more and when I asked why she was unsure. After she spoke with her manager the answer was that i am more of a liability.???? What, you tell your customers that? I am 22 weeks along and am more than willing to sign a release form especially to save $15. I am really bummed because I truly liked it here in the past but now I am feeling hurt and discriminated against which l did share with the girl on the phone. I dont know that I will be back!

I love this salon. I come here for all my manicures, pedicures & today I got my legs waxed. Everyone Ive seen has been professional and friendly. I feel very well taken care of when Im here. I especially love the view of the woods in the back from the pedicure massage chairs. Plus with all the Aveda product there is always a relaxing and peaceful scent everywhere here.

I decided to call spur of the moment to schedule a massage and they got me in asap! They scheduled me with Winter and she was great. Such a relaxing place to be. No one was rushing me and I even showered afterwards! The only downside was the overhead music wasnt working but Winter played some music on her phone. I came in yesterday evening and waited over a half hour for my appt. The staff wasnt friendly at all. When I asked for prices the lady didnt even want to help. Made me feel like I was unconvincing her. Nobody asked if I was interested in products. I sat there waiting until a lady came up and told me she miscalculated the time and I would have to come in another day. This was a differently lady than the other I just mentioned. She said shed give a discount for the inconvenience. I informed her I have been suffering from migraines when she told me about an opened appt for the following day. I felt that was fair. I let her know again I may have a migraine the day of my new appointment and would try to call ahead of time. The next day came and I was unable to make it. When I could I called to apologize and make a new appointment. The lady was rude. Said they wouldnt honor my discount and that there was a $5 upcharge for sanitation. I was not told about the upcharge the night before. And I wasnt told the discount wouldnt apply if I couldnt show up. I know that it must of been frustrating from a business perspective but the way they treated me was horrible. I asked how they could do this when I wasnt told the night before. It was like talking to a broken record. I didnt make the appointment and when nobody else was available for a haircut I called back and met with a very rude boy. He pretended to be the flagship salon. I checked the number and called back. I asked again if I have the correct salon which again I was met with rudeness, ughhhh, NO this is not lifetime. And no we dont have any appointments. I said ok and he hung up on me. If I could give them 0 stars I would. It seems they lack communication skills and if you dont look the way they think you should, youre ignored.

Visiting the Sanctuary in Eden Prairie is always a relaxing, wonderful experience.Getting haircuts feels like spending time at a spa because of all the little touches that are added. Hot towels, hand massages, shoulder massages, special conditioners, soft music and just the right lighting provide an experience you will want to return to enjoy again and again. I have also loved getting manicures because, again, they are more than just filing my nails and applying polish. I have developed a great relationship with my service providers and would recommend them in a heart beat. I always walk out of the Sanctuary feeling like I look just a little bit better and certainly feel a lot better.

I love the newly remodeled location in Eden Prairie! I just had once again the best facial and massage and the desk personnel was friendly and helpful. I just read the other reviews and I am so surprised. I have been going there for years and I have never been disappointed! I also think the Excelsior location is great, and I buy a lot of clothes from the botique. The clothes are unique and fairly priced. I am going back to Sanctuary and will continue to refer my friends!

I had an excellent experience at this salon. My appointment was with Alisa and I was a hot mess when I walked in there! Alisa took the time to ask me questions, listen to my concerns and answer my questions and give me her honest opinion. Of course I had a couple pictures of hairstyles that I showed her and she told me what would work and not work with my hair that is very thick and has natural that has no rhyme or reason. I absolutely LOVE the hair style I left with and it actually looks like one of the pictures I showed Alisa. I booked a color appointment with her before I left. This is the BEST haircut I have had in a very long time! ALISA is amazing!!!I went to the location located on Prairie Center Drive

$400 nightmare. For $90 I asked for length to be taken off and keep the haircut I had. Stressed to keep the tapered back (“U shape”). Sarah cut my hair completely differently and I have a flat, level cut in the back. $160 for the same hair color I’ve had for a decade. Told I had pay extra to have no brassiness. Never had to do that before and ended up w brass colors anyway. For another $160 w Cory two days later, was supposed to only pull out the red strands and color them, insisted I needed an all-over color. I was shocked by the bill which was presented in end and I paid only under threat. I now have yellow/orange hair that my friends and family have commented on, and caused a colleague to laugh. Instead of addressing the concerns, they’ve resorted to lies (as I’m sure they’ll do in any response to this), offered a $35 refund and chided that I was “welcome” to post reviews if I didn’t like their service. So here I am.

My appointment was with a stylist for an updo and makeup artist for a glamour look for a black tie wedding. When I made the appointment I inquired about costs and was told around $70 for the updo and $30 for makeup. I brought a photo of the updo in and the end result was FAR from what the photo looked like.But that was the least of my worries. My makeup looked absolutely hideous. My eyebrows were so dark and eye makeup was not even symmetrical! Plus the color she chose for my foundation was a milky color, not even close to my skin tone. When I was given a mirror to see the results, I was in tears. I asked if I could please have another woman do my makeup and I was completely blown off by the help at the counter.I’m a 62 year old woman. Obviously the 19 year old makeup person had No experience with my age group.She actually put 2 dots on the purse of my lips! WTH!So I’m now in a huge time crunch to get home and redo my hair and makeup! I go to pay and I’m told the total is $140. $40 more than quoted! I asked why the discrepancy and was offered no explanation nor was I given any discussion about the terrible makeup application. I would have to call back and talk to the manager next week to request a refund. A lot of good that did me!We were late for the wedding. The whole experience was a nightmare.Leaving a salon in tears is absolutely deplorable.

All of our new talents go through our extended advanced training program before they are able to service our guests. We do have other stylists with more experience and their prices start at $40+. Upon your request for the lowest priced haircut, you were scheduled with one of our newest talents.Customer: Upon your request for the lowest priced haircut? I didnt have a haircut appointment. I had a STYLE appointment, but why bother checking the details. Drove through a snowstorm and got to my appt. waited 5 minutes while the host chatted with guests about their home in Minnetrista - not even acknowledged my existence and when they left was abruptly told my appt was cancelled like she was the victim in having to tell me. It was clear most everyone had left because of the weather - but then to imply i should feel bad because she didn’t have my number! Number 1. My name is not common 2. I have registered and have received services multiple times 3. She referenced my sister-in-law in her database 4. Social media?? I have FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, InstagramYour inability to troubleshoot is only eclipsed by your immeasurable inconsiderate staff.

I had a wonderful relaxing 80 minute massage at Sanctuary SalonSpa. I like that you receive a key to the locker upon check in and get to wear a robe and slippers while you wait for your appointment time. Afterwards, I like being able to take a rain shower with Aveda products and freshen up before I carry on with my day.Update: I enjoyed my massage so much, I returned this week to get a haircut. I enjoy the extra special touches with this salon, like the scalp massage and the warm towels included with the hair wash. Taylor did a great job on my hair!

I love the Sanctuary Spa. My husband & I have been getting our hair cut by Trinity for years, she is really great. I have also had a few massages and have been very happy every time. Such a peaceful place, great service. Coffee, tea, water offered upon arrival a true spa experience.

I received a massage at Sanctuary Salonspa and LOVED it! The atmosphere was very relaxing and the lady did a great job! They had showers for you to rinse off after and you can use there Aveda products after to try them out! Everyone seemed to be very sweet and helpful. I would go there again for sure! :)

While my free services were amazing ( the blow out) . My eyebrow wax was not...not good. Then trying to get back in was awful. Just asked to see anyone since Im so busy and then they fit me in right away!

Pleasant front-desk staff, clean restroom/locker room, LOVE the new, plush robes!! Ive had several services here in past 18-mos & all have been very good! Would recommend this spa-salon!

Recently enjoyed the Wake Me When Its Over pedi/massage. Request Cassidy if you want to treat yourself. She is awesome and you will come away relaxed from the hot stone leg treatment & head/neck/shoulder massage... and you will have pretty toes to put in your sandals. LOVE this treatment!!
