Reviews were amazing. Gave them a chance. They dont discuss pricing over phone. Ok. Needed 1 thing done. Knew the going rates of competition. Was 130 over competition. Was charged to diagnose problem. (Which I knew what was wrong and told them upfront.) Was supposed to be refunded for a service that wasnt asked for or approved. Never was. Called and text. No response. I wouldnt recommend based on my experience.

I had to have my engine replaced in my car and it only took one day! They were very prompt and accommodating to my needs. They were/are very responsive with communication through email as well, which is hard to find. I was very pleased with not only the work they did but also their customer service. Everyone I spoke to or dealt with was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I never once was made to feel anything but comfortable with the entire process. Their prices are fair and affordable. Olson Auto is an amazing shop!

I cant say enough about Madis and his crew at Olson Auto. Ive tried a number of different mechanics in Eau Claire and have never had very good customer service, especially as a female experiencing car issues.Olson Auto came recommended by a family member, so I gave it a try and was so happy I did. They have EXCEPTIONAL customer service, always friendly, always dedicated to helping you out, and (most of all) always honest. When I pick up my car, they always explain in detail what the issue was. At most other places Ive gone, theyve never taken the time to do this. Its something I truly appreciate.Ive now gone in for a couple of repairs that were extremely well-priced. The dealership wanted to charge at least double Olsons cost for these same repairs.I highly recommend Olson Auto. In my experience, theyre the best in Eau Claire.

These guys rule. Five stars are not enough. My vehicle died on New Years Day just outside Eau Claire while traveling through Wisconsin. The next day, despite getting slammed with business during a subzero blast, they fit me in their schedule and worked hard to get me the part I needed and installed. Other garages in town wouldnt even bother. I was sent on my way safely within hours -- at a very reasonable price. Total professionals and extremely courteous.

I brought my 98 vw beetle to be diagnosed for a no crank, after about an hour they called me and told me it was a bad starter and it would be $475 dollars for the repair. the breakdown was $270 plus for the starter and the rest for labor, I said no way and paid the $45 dollars for the diagnosis and took my car home. I paid $70, thats right $70 and free shipping for a new starter that was given good reviews online. a new starter, not a rebuild. It was a pain to put in myself but worth saving $400. how on earth can anyone justify that kind of a price markup on a part? could it really be that much better of a starter that it costs 400% more than the one I found? it is criminal the way these mechanic shops mark up their parts. its no wonder they wont let you buy the part citing they canty vouch for the quality for that price difference, I will take my chances

They replaced 2 front tires without replacing the ball joints which was the reason behind my flat and failing tires to begin with. So I had to drive out of there with bad ball joints ruining my new tires. Didnt make sense. They should have called and asked what they wanted to do.
