The staff in all areas are very accommodating and personable. I love my Subaru Ascent. Great vehicle choice. My only concern is there are two annoying rattles in the passenger area that need to disappear. It seems that at each appointment I’ve had, something interferes with fixing them (time constraint first visit and rain second visit). My children have new vehicles also with no rattles. I’d really like to drive my awesome Subaru with none also.

Great service, no pressure sales explained all the details about the new car. Spoke with the service department just to familiarize myself and was very pleased.Only one problem the outback that I purchased the salesman told me that it has the cell phone wireless charger what is equipped in the car. Later on I found out that it was not. I now have to buy for $185 a wireless charger to be installed in the car. I do not believe that the salesman miss lead me. I truly believe that he thought the car did have the wireless charger in it, and not being familiar with this type of accessory I did not know how to check to make sure it was there.I am very pleased with the salesman I’m very pleased with you dealerships and I would recommend it highly to anyone.

My experience with Jason at Chilson was exactly what a car-buying experience should be! I arrived around 4:30 with an hour and a half to close, and he had the car ready for a test drive when I got there. We went for a ride, and came back set on making a deal. My mother is a salesperson at a car dealership in Ohio and she was quick to warn me of some sales red flags I should look out for, and I got none of that from Chilson. There was no persuading, arm-twisting, or guilting me to sway my decision. A couple staff members stayed past closing time to help me make sure I could drive off the lot in my new (to me) car. Im over the moon with Chilson and I will buy from them in the future! 😁

I have leased 2 Impreza’s from Chilson, recently bought an Ascent from them, and they continue to service our Forrester we had purchased from the West Coast. We have maintained a great relationship for 6 years and look forward to many more.Our only gripe was not getting a greater lease return value on our 2018 Impreza Sport. It was returned in show room condition with only 19k miles, during a time when used cars were selling at premium prices. Chilson only provides Kelley Bluebook.That said, we have had great sales and service. Consider selling your car rather than using it as a down payment.

Am very pleased with Chilsons response to my situation during the recent deep freeze here in Wisconsin. An awful lot of vehicles didnt take to this kindly, including my poor Forester. Even with being inundated with ailing vehicles, they got my Forester in and out in one day. They even let me keep the loaner for two extra days before I could get back in.

We are not from the area and we needed emergency service assistance for our Outback to get us back to Hudson. After stepping up to the counter and talking through the 3:30pm reality of a Friday afternoon, Scott in service heard the dilemma and worked a solution. By 5:15pm, we were safely on our way. It is not always easy to pause and truly listen, and its a lot to expect, but I have to share that Scott in service sure came through. And I am very blessed.

I love my new 2020 Subaru Forester! I previously owned a 2011 Forester and liked it a lot. Im glad I stayed with Subaru and am extremely happy with my 2020. The new one has safety features which made my new insurance costs very reasonable. The new frame provides a more comfortable, quiet ride. Chilson Subaru was and is great to deal with.

Customer service is top notch. Weve returned two more times after our first buying session and now own three Subarus. I have my car serviced there because their crew is so nice.

Extremely unprofessional and rude. For a Subaru dealer to push away a what should be lifetime customer because they aren’t willing to help with a Subaru under warranty issue, is lacking the customer service that they claim is above and beyond. As someone who works in the customer service industry, I’ve noticed the owners wife does not seem to have experience with that, though it is her job. She willingly yells over the phone at customers when they try to explain what their issue is. A car should not be given to Chilson to be inspected, and come out with more issues than it did prior. If you want a good reliable Subaru dealer who does not give poor customer service and will not blow up your motor inspecting it, I highly recommend anywhere but here.

Unfortunately, my experience through Chilson was not the greatest. The first red flag was giving them a down payment to hold a vehicle that would have 0% interest, they then sold the vehicle they promised my family. I worked with them to find another vehicle however, it was not one with 0% interest and it was not the same year.I was not set up with Starlink before or after getting my vehicle. I had to figure that our on my own, then only to run into problems after purchasing the Starlink package.I am saddened to say that after making a 5 hour round trip to a Subaru dealership in Marquette Michigan, they were not able to fix the problem. I am unable to connect to Starlink, despite my paying for the services since November 2020. I am extremely disappointed that this did not take place prior to our purchase. I have talked to multiple Subaru employees and they all confirmed that going through the Starlink feature and setting the customer up with those services is crucial, or else you have problems like I am currently having. I am frustrated that I cannot use a feature that I paid for months ago. After spending 5 hours on the road and another 5 hours at a dealership, there was nothing accomplished and I still cannot use my Starlink features. I should have went with my gut and went to another dealership when a vehicle that we made a down payment on was sold.

Paul isnt the brightest. I told him my budget and what I was looking for. He sent me a vehicle that fit, but it didnt look to me like it had leather seats. I asked him if they were leather and he told me yes they were heated leather and it was a very clean vehicle. I looked and saw the dealer was open until six so I rushed to get up there to drive it. Found the vehicle on the lot and guess what...CLOTH SEATS! Then I send him a text about it and he doesnt even respond with an apology or anything. So now I wasted an 1.5 hours for absolutely nothing! What a joke! How can he even say the vehicle is very clean when he obviously didnt even go out and look at it! Will be looking elsewhere for my new vehicle. Vehicles are overpriced here for sure!

We were in Eau Claire visiting my parents, and I found my Subaru Outback and purchased it even though we live in La Crosse. I asked the Salesman about the head gasket issues on the Subaru Outback that I have read about. YOU are the experts. Well I was told, Oh, thats just on the older models, they have since fixed the issues Well guess what? I have only put on 30,000 miles for a grand total of 85.000 miles on my vehicle. I still owe $9,000 on it and the head gasket needs to be replaced. $3,000 bill!!! I called today to ask them about it, and the answer is pretty much, TOUGH LUCK FOR YOU!! Very disappointing. Thank you for standing by your product, when you KNEW there was an issue, but didnt inform your customer about it. Buyer beware.

Just did an oil change, tire rotation and cleared check engine light. The light came back on. Probably have a bad gas cap.

Unprofessional at best. They literally will sell someone else a car that you put a deposit on. Honestly the slimiest salesman move you can do, especially after financing and proof of insurance has been set up and confirmed. If we lived in the state I would love to pay them a personal visit but they have wasted enough time already. Upset is an understatement.

I drove in and had a code on my computer screen. The took it in right away and tended to the code problem.

Fantastic place! I have never given a car dealer or service department a great review such as this! I have had my 2011 Subaru serviced several times here and been very happy. Although they are very busy, if it is urgent they find time to help you out. But best of all I just bought a new 2020 Subaru Forester there and I cant believe the experience! I have always hated buying a car because as a woman I am often treated like I am not an intelligent buyer by male sales staff. I do my homework on the car I am buying and if I have a car to sell and often seem to know more than the sales staff and they get annoyed and try to sell me something I dont want or try to sneak in things I dont want to pay for at the end. The sales staff at Chilson, specifically Kelly Gates and Sales Manager Jeff Dooley, were fantastic in thinking outside the box to get me what I wanted and creating a package that worked with my budget. They were respectful and a pleasure to deal with. Cindy Halberg, the Business Manager was also very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this company!

The staffs took our car when we drove in without an appointment on a day of their staff shortage. But we needed the car the next day to drive back to our home town Rochester MN.They looked at our car and fixed the problem the same day and let us checkout the car and leave the car in their parking lot and pick up the next day.They spend a lot of time telling us some possible behaviors that could cause battery leakage and giving us some tricks of driving our Outback.We appreciate their wonderful services and patient.

I got the information I most needed (price of the car, value of the trade in) without having to play a lot of games. We got a final price here that was nearly $1000 less than another Subaru dealership in the Twin Cities. Well worth the drive to Eau Claire!

Amazing experience at Chilson in Eau Claire! My car had gotten totalled right before Christmas and we went here after the holidays. I didnt really have any specific type of vehicle I wanted, so I was open to anything. It was stressful because I hate car shopping and was worried about financing. Jeff D. was who helped me look at vehicles. He was so patient and knowledgeable, and really put the effort in to finding me something in my price range. Even though my budget was minimal I was treated as if I was buying a $50,000 vehicle. The manager, Jeanne, helped with my financing and worked really hard to get it through and to get a good rate. They really take good care of you at Chilson in Eau Claire. I felt as though I knew I was getting a good vehicle, at a good price, from people who care. I would definitely go back to Jeff D for another vehicle in the future. He not only cares about finding you a car, but he cares about finding the RIGHT car for you. Very impressed!

Wanted to buy another Subaru in the worst way. Sales man didnt get back to me for 48 hrs. I live 90 miles away and definitely needed to talk first. Got peed of. Went to local Ford dealership and bought Ford echosport, so glad I did-great car, good price, beats Subaru.
