I really like the folks over at Castros. Ive gotten one used tire from them and they just patched a leak in a different tire for me. Both trips have been affordable and quick, with friendly service. You feel like real, honest people are helping you there.

Today they were my second stop, but they should have been my first. Last time I went to 5 different tire places in Durham before I got to them. They were the only ones that carried my size of tire.

We were on our way back to GA and had a flat on a SUNDAY 🤦🏽‍♀️ So I Googled places around the area where we stopped and a Jiffy Lube came up. Unfortunately they were closing ☹️ but the young man was determined to help us out and told me to come back tomorrow and they could get me fixed right up. Well we werent from around that area. So he recommended this place to us. Be even Googled it for me 😁 Great great service at Castros!

Nice place with efficient service and extremely quick turnaround times with minimum wait. Please know that this is a cash only shop! ATM is located in the store across the street. Before I withdraw cash and come back, my tire replacement was done. Prices are very reasonable - used tires are $30 (with some tread wear) or $40 (at times like-new!). I wanted to match the wear with other tires so the $30 replacement worked out pretty well for me! They surely overinflated the tire at 40 psi, so please check the pressure once they are done. I did not check the lug nut torque, but wont be surprised if it is tighter than recommended, based on other reviews. I will be going to Firestone for free tire rotation and balancing soon anyway, so no sweat.

Everything has a fee that is not told up front. Generally putting on tires I thought meant getting them balanced as this is an included service but with this place it is an extra fee. Do not come here. Even air after putting it on which is ridiculous.

Bought used tires that included balancing and mounting. He did such a bangup job.1. Did not balanced the tire while he lied he have balanced.2. Over inflated the tire. Recommend pressure was 27psi. I would not mind if inflated 32psi but he inflated it 47psi. There was clear warning do not inflate over 40psi.3. Over torqued the tire. Recommend torque is 70fp but he torqued it over 110fp.Do not go there unless you want worst job ever.
