The Heights at LaSalle is a wonderful place to live! I love my apartment and the level of security at the complex. Mr. Bryan Holloway made my move easy by answering all of my pertinent questions and responding in a timely manner to my emails/calls. The maintenance team also does a great job of responding quickly. As a student at Duke, I am only 6 minutes away from campus, which is extremely convenient. I am glad I chose this community and I would recommend this place to other incoming students!

Ive had a great experience so far living at the Heights at LaSalle. The complex is well-maintained, quiet, and in a great location. My leasing agent, Bryan Holloway, went above and beyond to make my move-in process seamless and help me feel at home. I highly recommend the Heights!

I recently toured this community with the agent, Bryan. He was very welcoming and easy to connect with. He was knowledgeable about the complex and the surrounding areas. Finding the right apartment can be stressful and he made this experience a great one. I so appreciate him answering all of my crazy questions and following up with me afterwards.

I’ve lived here only a few months now but, couldn’t have had a better experience and couldn’t be happier with my decision to relocate to the Heights. The amenities and location are great and the facilities are beautiful. What Ive appreciated most though is the peace of mind I get from knowing management and maintenance are fantastic and reliable. Bryan Holloway (my leasing consultant) has gone out of his way to ensure my transition here was smooth and that I was more than satisfied with my apartment choice. Jon and Joseph deserve all the praise in the world as well – I’ve lived in a number of apartments since moving to Durham and I’ve never experienced such outstanding, quick, and professional service from maintenance staff. Truly.. all outstanding guys well deserving of a shout out!

The maintenance team at the Heights is top-notch. Jon and Joseph are skilled professionals who get the job done timely and well. They keep the complex operating smoothly and do their best to keep the premises tidy despite the large number of college-aged tenants who can be careless with their trash. Jon and Joseph are a pleasure to talk with, and they are two of my dogs favorite people. Between move-in and move-out, most of your interactions will likely be with the maintenance team for support in your apartment (rather than those in the front office), and Jon and Joseph are the best there is!

Want to say a big thank you for Joseph and Jon for helping us so quickly as we were moving in our niece into her beautiful apartment this past weekend. We initially had several issues – washer not working well, dryer not staying on, disposal and sink not properly draining. All were fixed the day we called. The dryer needed a part that was backordered, and later that afternoon Joseph and Jon knocked on the door with a new dryer. We were so grateful for them going above and beyond!

We worked with Bryan @ The Heights in securing an apartment for our son in Durham NC. Even though our application had some challenges and there was no apartments available on the list, Bryan went above and beyond our expectation in securing an apartment which is in our price range and in a nice location in the community!!!Highly recommend “The Heights” apartment and Leasing Assistant Bryan for any of your apartment needs in Durham NC!!!

Extremely noisy Air Conditioner Unit outside each apartment right next to your bedroom. 48dB A weighted noise every night when the AC is on. Walls are like papers. And the worst part is that these are low frequency noises that cannot be alleviated whatsoever. Your entire carpet and roof is shaking and you hear it with earplugs. The maintenance guys are rude, never wear mask. Walk straight into your apartment without asking or at least say hello. Community manager Geoff Hunter is a joke. Say bunch of meaningless nice words and never do anything in practice to help out on the noise at all. “It’s just normal. I wake up 3am all the time.”About the positive reviews. Be aware of what they are offering. Duke Manors are offering $500 bribe for each positive review. How crazy that is. You can guess how much Heights are offering.

The apartments environments and security are pretty good, leasing office provided free breakfast before covid-19. There is a lovely swimming pool and a fitness room here. Overall I have great living experience here except that impact sound insulation is not good. I think the problem exists for most wooden-structured house, but Leasing officer said they would offer transfer to other rooms if I still feel disturbed by neighbors noise. Leasing officers are very helpful as well as the maintainers at heights.Give it a five star because I have many good memories here.

To start, Bryan Holloway in the leasing office is absolutely amazing!! He is super attentive to his residents and made moving in super easy and comfortable. Whenever I needed something, leasing and maintenance staff were quick to respond! The pool is wonderful to sit by and go for a swim. The workout room is very nice as well, on the small side, but has a bunch of cardio machines. The other major plus is there is an indoor bike barn to store your bike. The only thing I would say is a negative, are the walls are pretty thin & the people above me seem to be moving furniture constantly at all hours of the day. If you are super noise conscientious, I suggest living on the top floor. Overall, it is a fabulous place to live (and safe-- nothing has happened to my knowledge in the past year I have lived here) for a very affordable price!

Bryan Holloway and the management staff are incredible- always kind and helpful. This review does not apply to them. The company that owns this community, however, has no respect for its tenants. We were notified a week before having to either renew our lease or give in our intent to vacate that our rent would be increasing $300 a month. There was no justification or explanation other than what we were paying was “below market rate”, even though that’s the price they gave us when we moved in. There have been no improvements to the community or to the apartment. So obviously, we are forced to move out. If you are comfortable with a surprise 20% increase on your rent, then this is the place for you. (By the way, rent is by no means cheap). We have not moved out yet- I will be back to update this review with our move-out experience.

Living at The Heights was great! I must express my appreciation to Brian Holloway in the management office who always acted spontaneously in resolving any issues!! His deep concern for keeping his residents happy and maintaining the property is not something you find everywhere. His professionalism is one to be commended ! Unfortunately I had to relocate but will miss my home at The Heights!!

I literally love this place. It’s very homey and a great quiet place to live. I have lived here over a year and just renewed my lease for another year. I feel at home whenever I come which is most important. The staff made it a point to know who the residents are and are wonderful at communication. Mr. Holloway is always warm and welcoming, as well has outstanding customer service. If it were not for him i probably would not have renewed my lease, just having graduated college i was a little worried about renewing, he sat down with me and went over my options, and answered all the questions that I may have had. He also knows how to get the job done. Coming from a customer service background this is also most important to me. For when I have a issue I know that IT will never be a problem getting IT done with him. The maintenance team is as well very great i put in a issue and they come within hours to minutes. This place is close to everything food wise. And very close to downtown Durham. If your in college or even in your career this place is great and very quiet. I could go on and on but just stop in and see for yourself. Coming from a very particular and picky person I’m literally in love with this place.

Great apartments to live in, until you decide to move out. After we left the management decided that we owed them over $1000 in damages, including a cleaning fee, which I would have assumed was a standard cost of apartment turnover.I would not recommend accepting as much as a cup of coffee from this company, for fear of the hidden charges. If, however, you do decide you want to live here, and make sure you take and store photos of the apartment on your move in and move out date.

I can never imagine the nightmares of the administration of the leasing office this year. They are actually charging us for the insurance fee of last year when we did have insurance policy last year and that is already expired this year. When we first submitted our policy to them the first rush day moved in, we asked about whether there are some details we need to know, they mentioned nothing. And nothing happened for a whole year. Then they are charging us after 15 months because they suddenly found out that we were not listing a stupid company as third party of interest. They just found every excuse to charge the residents while really don’t care about them at all. I’m really regretting of not moving out earlier.

Our ac broke down and they did not fix until 4 months after. Never bothered to call us or informed us about anything! when it would be fixed or why it has been so long! I had my son who was 3 years old and it was extremely hard with no ac especially at night! For the price they charged its not worth it! They are very unprofessional, they tried to charge me for rent I wasnt staying in the apartment. I immediately email the manger and never got a email or call from manger. They ignore the situation. They were not willing to give me my deposit because of the carpet however I hired a professional company to clean and a professional painters. We left the carpet in perfect condition! After all we lived there for TWO year what do they expect for us to never walk on the carpet!? But when we moved in the apartment it was dirty and pee on the toilet and that is ok!??

Amazing complex and best management in the area. The closest complex to Duke west campus (law school, fuqua, pratt, etc) (2 min driving, 10 min walking). Great views of Duke Chapel. This is the third complex in the area that Im staying at, and it is definitely the best. Apartment is wonderful - lots of light, higher ceilings and wonderful spacious bathroom. Kitchen and living room area look super trendy. In the Clubhouse they have the coolest ever office rooms, which students can use to study. Highly recommend!

Every person on the leasing office staff is rude. Its impossible to walk in and find someone who doesnt have an attitude. Also the rules they enforce are ridiculously absurd to the point where you cant even enjoy the amenities. For example you need a wristband to go to the pool and no guests are allowed on the weekends. This complex claims to be dog friendly but are only dog tolerant! One staff member yelled in my face repeatedly about my dog who did absolutely nothing wrong. The community is also filled with college aged tenants who are loud and disrespectful of the property, leaving trash and beer bottles everywhere. If you enjoy noisy neighbors and disrespect then maybe this is the place for you.
