Very helpful management with great communication. Nice,clean, quiet place to live. Maintenance is super quick with orders. I’ve only been here a month but I’ve heard that they host many things as well.

I am in the process of relocating to the Raleigh/Durham area and recently had the pleasure of visiting Realm at Patterson Place. I love the area and this location. I was so impressed with the entire complex and immediately felt right at home. It is obvious the maintenance staff takes pride in working here, as the grounds were immaculate and perfect. I had the pleasure of talking with Amy, who was friendly, helpful and informative about living there. It sounds like between the well manicured grounds and beautiful apartments, there will also be many fun activities taking place. This is the perfect fit for me and look forward to living here. Got a great rate on a two bedroom apartment. All our work orders have been fulfilled in as much time as it took to get the necessary parts (usually pretty quickly). The staff is very nice. It’s dog friendly in general. We like the neighbors. It’s a good location for getting most places in Durham pretty quickly.

Weve been here 18 months and plan to sign another year lease soon. We were shocked at how spacious our two bed apartment was when we first moved in. I also love that our bedrooms dont share walls with neighbors. More sleep for me! I dont know if that design was intentional or not, but I love it. The community seems to be more young adult, newer career folks, which is not where Im at in life but everyone is friendly and welcoming. Staff is above and beyond accommodating and works to keep the entire place looking nice.

I’ve lived here for 2 years and overall it’s been a pleasant experience. I love the fact they hold nice events for the residents to mingle amongst ourselves. It’s extremely hard to find affordable housing with these type of amenities in a safe neighborhood with lots of convenient shopping nearby here in Durham. So, if cost, convenience and safety are important factors to you, I’d definitely recommend living here.

I would recommend Realm! Ive lived here since January and have found the amenities and apartments to be top notch. The only reason this isnt a five-star review is because maintenance has occasionally been less responsive and the valet trash service that they contract out to is not consistent. That said, the value of living at Realm is the proximity to everything, whether grocery stores, restaurants, or work (were about right in between Chapel Hill and Duke. The furnishings are new and trendy and the whole place feels luxurious when it is at its best.

We have lived here a year and have no complaints. The rent is affordable, maintenance is both responsive and highly capable, staff is friendly (especially to our dog), and it’s a nice, clean neighborhood full of respectful, friendly people. Oh, and the walls are nice and thick. I can hardly ever hear the neighbors. I think that’s worth a star or two on its own.

The location is nice and property is pricey but overall it seems well cared for. Lately I have been seeing more and more issues of dog owners not picking up after their pets how they should be which makes me hesitant letting my kids go in the grass areas at all. Management just turned over and since then more issues have seemed to been taken care of which is a plus. Mail that is larger and doesnt fit in boxes gets delivered and dropped in the mailbox alcoves which is odd and unsecured. People overall seem to be pleasant in passing. Lastly, something to be on the lookout for is that cars zoom way over the limit through the parking lot running stop signs which is something to always keep in mind as Ive almost gotten hit leaving for work in the morning!

Very pleasant and nice place for living, quiet neighbors, very clean territory, affordable price for apartments, very clean swimming pool and gym with new equipment, pet friendly, easy to park your car. The Realm at Patterson Place is a wonderful and beautiful apartment complex that is full of caring staff, luxurious amenities and apartment buildings, and is a clean and safe environment. I recently moved into my new apartment this weekend and it already feels like home. The unit is clean, up-to-date, and the apartment portal is easy to use and maneuver through. I can’t thank Odily enough for all her hard work and caring attitude to help me these past months with getting my apartment. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to everyone who wants a calm, beautiful, spacious community to live in.

Modern, clean and relaxing community and apartments. We have been here for about 6 months and already hoping to renew our lease for another term. We have been loving our home here so far. Very friendly and responsive staff. We have not yet experienced any of the clubhouse amenities due to the pandemic, but they all look clean and well maintained. Location of this place is a huge plus. Everything you might need (including Duke and UNC hospital systems) are in 5-10 min. Only significant trouble we have been experiencing so far is that some motor cyclers in and around the community are waking up our baby from his naps often. I guess that might be one downside of being close to a highway. Overall, I would like to sincerely thank Realm at Patterson Place Apartments for doing everything they can to make this place like home for us.

Overall, it is a good place to live. I’ve been here a long while and it feels safe, it’s close to most places, and the pool is pretty nice. Shout-out to Odily Altamirano! She is great and always helpful. My biggest concern is that the prices have increased way too much.

My husband and I just moved to Realm a few weeks ago and we are so pleased with our experience. The staff has been so welcoming, attentive to our service requests, and we are so thankful to be able to live in this community!!

We have lived here for the last four years and we love it! The apartments are very nice, modern and comfortable. Location is great between Durham and Chapel Hill. The staff is awesome, Kendra and Odily are the best! Theyre very nice and on top of things in case you need anything. Maintenance staff and service is very fast and good as well. Were in the process of moving (same complex but different apartment) and the process has gone smoothly so far. The community is very quiet and pleasant so we highly recommend it.

We signed our lease today, so we havent yet lived on property, so this review is more oriented to the staff. Everyone we came into contact with when we came in to do our initial tour was wonderful. We had the pleasure of having Olivia do our tour with us and she was extremely personable and insightful. We live in Arizona at the moment so monitoring pricing was somewhat of a pain and Olivia has kept in constant contact with me to make sure we were on the same page and able to get the unit we wanted for the best price possible. The wonderful customer service, as well as what we saw on our tour are the sole reasons we sought out these apartments over anything else in the area. Would highly recommend reaching out to them if you are interested or have any questions!

I’ve been here about 2 weeks and I’ve loved it. Great notifications when something is going to happen and all the facilities feel clean and welcoming. Every time I go to the office I am helped ASAP

I cannot say enough good things about the maintenance and management team at Realm Patterson Place. They are a valued asset and were one of the main reasons why we renewed our contract for another twelve months. Not being at our apartment full time, we needed assurance from management that full support, if requested, would be provided regardless of whether we were there. That support has been provided on several occasions. The location, environmental surrounding, and quiet atmosphere provide for a very relaxing stay when we are there. In my opinion, the customer service at Realm Patterson Place is in the top five percent. Special credit to Kendra Barkley who always strives for excellence in this area.

Based on the level of maintenance of the property, this complex is overpriced.Before signing a lease, I suggest you see if any improvements have been made to the issues I list below. If not, I suggest looking elsewhere and refusing their high rents.1. Packages are constantly being delivered to the wrong buildings. People are frequently posting lost and missing packages on the message board (sometimes multiple posts per day). Management needs to install address numbers above the breezeway entries (next to the apartment number signs) so that delivery drivers (and your friends and family) know where to go. This is a simple and low cost fix for the daily frustration the residents experience.2. Bark Park has multiple areas in the fencing that dogs can escape out of. Management said they would repair it but have not.3. Bark Park water fountain is broken.4. Path in back of the property behind the Bark Park is a safety hazard because it has huge gaping holes in it. Construction has never been completed. Its dirt with tarps over it.5. Gym exercise balls are dried out and need to be replaced.6. TVs on the gym cardio equipment dont work.7. Mounted gym TVs dont turn on/off easily and dont have remotes.8. Pool is very dirty and full of dead bugs.If management doesnt address these issues, I will not be signing my renewal and will likely move to The Reserve next door.

The Realm at Patterson Place isn’t bad. It’s ok. I’m not a huge fan of the layout, but it works. Sort of. I think they’re a bit overpriced, but yeah, there’s complimentary coffee in the lounge. The pool is really nice. The dog area isn’t very big though. Just hope you don’t ever have to put in a work order. It’ll take months for someone to show up, and it probably won’t get fixed. Been waiting on my shower door to be fixed since April 8th.

Ive lived at Realm Patterson place for almost four years and am sad to have to leave for a new job in June. The people and facilities are great! Fast turn around time for maintenance requests (which have been few and far between) and great staff that is always available and lovely. It will be hard to find a better apartment complex and staff when I move out of state in June. Also the apartments are updated, spacious, clean and quiet with AMAZING amenities.

We have lived here for several years now. The location to both hospitals and the interstate made it an easy decision for us. We have enjoyed the walking trails and behind the complex and gives us something peaceful when things get crazy for us. The management team has been great for us! They’ve helped us with packages that were misdelivered but also helped us when we were out of town. They also greet us by name when we see them. I appreciate how they genuinely ask about things or just wave across the way when we are out walking. Not being from this area makes it easier to call this part of town our home.

I love this place! Its a very peaceful and well-kept community. I love how helpful the staff is. You can have a great time here. If there are any issues, they get resolved quickly. Ive lived in Realm for over 5 years now and have enjoyed every second of it. Everything about this complex screams luxury. From the amenities to the office staff, Realm at Patterson Place is second to none. If youre looking in the Triangle for where to live, you will never regret living here. With a park attached to the complex, there are soccer fields, a basketball court, playground, and just about anything else youd desire for any outside time. Of course you cant forget the best pool in the Triangle, if not the state, for apartment complexes. All I have to say is that there are chairs in the pool next to the cabanas. I promise youll never think twice once you join the Realm.

Moved in a few months ago and have a great experience! Any issues Ive had the management and maintenance staff have been very accommodating and timely.

Since I moved here in 2018 I could not find a reason to leave. It is a quite, well located (a lot of restaurants and supermarkets are very close) apartment complex with some amazing common areas (a great swimming pool for example). The apartments are very beautiful inside and they provide the best service ever, the staff is really good and friendly!! I found out that in not all the apartment complexes there is such a care for the community as you can find here. They organize events to allow people to meet and now with the Covid restrictions they find out a way to make us happy by calling a different food track every week or so. I highly suggest to move here if you can!!

We have lived at this community for a little over a month. We really like the apartment units and the 2 bedroom unit we live in is very spacious. Odily in the office is really great and has been extremely helpful. We also really the the amenities provided. It is in a great location tucked away from major roads and it’s close to many stores (5 mins from Wegmans). Only downside so far is loud and inconsiderate upstairs neighbors.

Realm at Patterson Place has been a tremendous apartment complex for my roommate and I since 2015. We have enjoyed the living environment, community functions through the CARES team, and the ability to communicate easily with management or maintenance when a need arises. The location is wonderful as the apartments are located between Chapel Hill and Durham, and is near the interstate. There are many great restaurants and shopping places nearby as well.

My experience at Realm has been super positive! The apartments are very stylish and modern. It is in a great location and I love the quiet atmosphere. Also, an easy commute to school. I would recommend this complex!

I moved in here about a month ago and the community has been great! It’s quiet, and the office staff is amazing. Odily was wonderful and helped me get all my paperwork done early for my move in and Kendra is a gem to chat with!

Location! Location! Location! Realm Patterson Place is so convenient to get to Duke or UNC. 10 minutes drive for both places. But there are many things to love besides its great location. The apartment buildings are well maintained and so is the landscaping. The apartment itself offers what we are looking for such as a huge island in the kitchen, walk-in shower, washer and dryer and a spacious patio. There is no waisted space in the lay out of the apartment. The amenities are great too: there is a beautiful swimming pool and BBQ area. A spotless well equipped gym. A beautiful lounge area. One courtyard has four huge hammocks for hanging out. A good size dog run and children playground. The office staffs are wonderful and helpful. Maintenance staffs are always timely and knowledgeable. There are occasional free breakfast and social events offered by the office. The tenants here are very friendly also. Besides all the great amenities Realm Patterson Place has to offer, there is a public park with walking trail and soccer field next to its property! We have been living here for three years and continue to enjoy our stay here! What is not to love about Realm Patterson Place!

We thank Kendra for showing us how everything should be done during the renting process. It is not that we haven’t had any experiences in renting before, but those were many decades ago, and the procedure has changed a quite bit since then.As soon as we contacted Realm Patterson, we heard from Kendra. Her letter was very descriptive and we were very impressed. At the time we had a couple of places on our list to check, but her letter made us feel “this is it!”, and I am glad that we did.Any time we sent our emails, we got replies back from her immediately, sometime even with pictures attachments. She really went above and beyond.She is extremely good at making her customers feel at home, which is a rarity these days. She is a great asset to your company!

We moved to Realm about 2 months ago now and absolutely LOVE it! The units and the amenities in the them are amazing! The staff is very friendly! Kendra specifically can turn someone’s day around with her positive attitude and smiling face! The residents that we come in contact with are phenomenal as well! We enjoy the dog park immensely! The pool and the clubhouse are also well maintained. Such a wonderful community to live in!

I had to relocate from SC for a new job in a city where I didnt know anyone. From the first call with Kendra, I knew Realm at Patterson Place was at the top of my list. Wonderful community with friendly neighbors! Cant recommend it enough!

It’s been great. :) I did have some initial annoyances when trying to get everything set up to move in, but since moving in it has been fabulous. This is the nicest apartment I’ve lived in so far. I love love love the pool area.

Kara and Philip the Care Team are exceptional. Every event they do is great. They truly are caring. They are the reason we want to live here!

Reasons why I moved here & why I have renewed my lease here: Location, amenities, friendly, supportive staff who know me by name & have treated me like family, modern interiors, great pool & cabana, gym is small but new w/ great equipment, best maintenance staff I’ve ever encountered & last but not least, we have a terrific couple (Kara & Philip) who not only head up great social activities but they genuinely care about the residents and are a very large reason why Realm feels kore like a community than a sterile complex. Lots of competition on the market with the growth in Triangle, but this is best all round community.

I have been living at Realm Patterson Place for over a year now and I genuinely have enjoyed living here. Since Day 1 management has been welcoming and kind. Within the first couple months of moving here last summer our AC broke down and our air filtration system had an issue where it wasnt ventilating properly but I can honestly say every concern/problem I had management and the maintenance team was on it immediately. To the point we had the office manager inspecting out unit to assess conditions. I was pleased with the response time. Also the apartment has great amenities and awesome welcome staff who put on great events a couple times a month where you can meet other residents.

This complex was on my radar when I first moved to Durham from Greensboro 2 1/2 yrs ago but I wound up at another location. After my lease was up at my old residence, this was the first place I came to. The complex is peaceful and landscaped beautifully. I received an awesome greeting from the assistant mgr, Kendra who sold me on the apartment as soon as she showed me the model. I have enjoyed my time here and recently renewed my lease :)!! . There have been some instances [being honest] where there have been delays in returning messages but they have been low priority so it hasn’t been too much of an issue where it has been a problem. Other than that, I enjoy my home, the staff is friendly and informative about events going on at the property and providing a safe place and open door policy for change and/or improvements for the complex. I appreciate being in the loop at all times :)

Stayed at these apartments for a little over a year. When we did the walk thru, they said everything looked good but then they kept money to replace over 4 year old carpets. Maintenance that did the walk thru even complimented me on how good the apartment looked. So, if you do stay there, make sure to take pictures of move in and move out. I have a feeling this is not the first time their residents are paying for them to replace their low quality carpets.

Nice community but did not get moved into the apartment the leasing agent and I agreed on. I specifically requested to be on a first floor and told her I could not be up a flight of stairs. I even paid 20 days of overlapping rent to secure the “last first floor available”, only to be moved into a second story apartment. It’s a huge hassle as a single mom to carry a baby, groceries, stroller, car seats, diaper bag, purses up a flight of stairs obviously I only have one hand left and it’s quite dangerous to carry the baby with my hands full upstairs. Have to make multiple trips up and down as I can’t leave my baby alone, then when I set her down to unlock the door and move the bags in I have the worry of her being at the top of the flight of stairs. It shouldn’t matter why I wanted the first floor but what matters is I paid a higher rate for one, and was told I would be in one, and specifically said no stairs.

This place is just not great. As an example of why it’s not great, look at the fact that the management only responds to positive reviews and completely ignores the negative ones. They run the place the same. They have horrible problems with losing packages, failing to provide any meaningful safety measures, refusing to alleviate the parking chaos, or coming up with ridiculous rules to avoid taking responsibility for things like maintaining the pool area. The only good thing about this place was the maintenance staff who were awesome.

We have loved living here!! It’s a great community and so close to what we need!! We also love that it is quiet and further off of 40! Great place to live and would recommend it!!

Ive lived at Realm for 9 months now and I love this place so much. The staff is friendly and always responds quickly to my needs. The grounds are very well kept and we have a wonderful maintenance staff here. I love my beautiful apartment so much and will be very sad when I have to move to another city. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. The community is pretty quiet and everyone is respectful and kind. My only con that I can think of is that living on the first floor can sometimes get noisy because of footsteps from the level above. I think it might just be that my neighbor is very heavy-footed. But even with that, I still think this is the perfect apartment.

Ive lived at Realm Patterson Place apartments for over 6mos now. Its a really nice, new, clean place, with great maintenance staff and a wonderful hospitality program connecting you to the community. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is honestly because, if youre like me and enjoy running 10ks in the morning before work, this location isnt very pedestrian friendly. Just off from the apartment complex itself, there are no side walks or street lights; definitely something to consider. Other than that its a convenient location, and a very nice apartment complex.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Let me start by saying the apartments are beautiful and generally a very nice place to live. My issues with the Realm have nothing to do with the actual apartments. I have lived at the Realm for a little over a year. Back in April my car, along with a few others, was stolen right from the complex parking lot while my roommate and I were sleeping. A handful of other cars were broken into that night. This was not first time this had happened in the complex, just the first time that it had happened to us. Just a few months earlier, a residents vehicle was taken at gunpoint in the parking lot right outside her apartment. We reported our incident to both the police and the front office. The office staff acted sympathetic but when asked what they planned to do to prevent further incidents like this, all they could say was dont leave valuables in your car which I had not done in the first place.Today, three months later, my roommates car was broken into, along with at least three others in the complex. Her car was locked with no valuables in it. She went up to the office and explained the situation and was once again told there was nothing they could do.The problem for me is not necessarily that my car was stolen in an area that I believed to be safe (although that is very concerning, as well) but that we have said things to the management staff, the maintenance staff and the courtesy office about it and no one seems to care enough to do anything about it. It is unbelievable to me that no one has the authority to put up security cameras or hire evening security. It is not a good feeling to pay a pretty ridiculous about of money to not even feel safe.How long until the staff wakes up and realizes how unacceptable this is? Until peoples apartments start getting broken into? Until someone gets hurt?Point is, these people do not value the safety and security of their residents. I know the neighborhood looks like a safe place to be but looks can be deceiving. Take your business elsewhere.

I dont like the fake reviews and there are many. Theres not much the apartment can do about car thefts and break-in. The security cameras and someone on duty might help but how much would it add to the rent.

I have lived at Realm for nearly a year and just (gladly) signed another lease to extend my stay. My experience in this community is so remarkable that I felt compelled to write a review and share why.First of all, the office staff is truly exceptional, kind, helpful and COMPETENT. Although everyone in the front office with whom Ive interacted is wonderful, Kendra in particular is a true gem. At one point my valet trash can magically grew legs and walked away overnight, and she replaced it for me, no questions asked, free of charge. There was also a small billing discrepancy on my account a little while ago and I emailed the office about it, she responded within a few hours and corrected it. No ifs, ands or buts. If you are new on the apartment hunting circuit, I cannot stress enough how important the management team is to shaping the resident experience. The staff at Realm are truly fabulous and genuinely care.Secondly, the maintenance team is top-notch. Response times are always quick (within 1 business day of submission), the job is always completed correctly and they always leave a printout of your work request that theyve signed so you know they entered your apartment and completed the order. Sounds pretty straightforward right? Yeah, you would be amazed how often you do NOT see this level of consistency at other apartment complexes. Also, the maintenance dudes are really nice and they always wave or say hello when they see you.Third, the complex itself is extremely well maintained and the buildings, landscaping, pool area, gym, clubhouse, etc. are pristine. If I remember correctly, the community was built in 2014 so obviously everything is really new and that helps, but clearly theyve invested a lot of time and energy into upkeep. Ive never seen a spider, cockroach, millipede, or any other creepy crawly in my unit at any time over the past year. The peace of mind afforded by NOT having to deal with uninvited guests crawling on your ceilings or up your pipes or hiding under the curve of your toothpaste tube (like at my last apt) should not be taken for granted. Also, having a screened-in porch, I regularly leave my patio door open when Im home for free temperature modulation during the fall and spring especially, sometimes for hours on end. Still no bugs or insects of any kind.My apartment itself is beautiful, the kitchen in particular. I love my granite countertops, massive sink, pantry and the extreme amount of shelving in my cabinets that I will never ever fully use but enjoy having anyway. Due to some compelling new resident offers I was able to afford a 1 bedroom unit, but I assumed they would jack up my rate after the first year to get me back up to or over market value. Amazingly, this was not the case and I was shocked when I got my renewal offer and saw how little they had raised my monthly rate. This signals to me that Realm values the retention of their current residents. I was thrilled to sign a new lease and it was a steal.Yes, OF COURSE there are small things I wish were different. For one, the office only assigns one apartment key per person. I desperately wish they gave out two, for the sake of convenience when I have guests or to have a backup just in case. The fan in my bathroom is so darn loud that I can barely hear anyone on the other side of the door or watch Netflix on the potty. I also hate paying $25 a month for valet trash. This system incentivizes waste generation so people can “get their money’s worth.” I often see certain neighbors putting out trash 3 or more times a week and most people do not recycle even though the valet picks up recycling if it’s in a blue bag. And I really had to hound the leasing office to get them to send me my lease renewal offer. However, as someone who’s lived in 3 apartment complexes in 2 states, these are such trivial issues in the grand scheme of things. It is truly a miracle to not have to worry about where I rest my head at night. I am a very happy resident and am looking forward to my continued residency in this community.

Weve lived here over two years and love the resort like atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the facility team is so responsive.
