Today I had a great experience. Justin in the leasing office was super amazing and helpful to me! Also, the maintenance team is amazing. Tyrone came and helped me out this morning, was super friendly, and got the job done quickly!
I have been a resident here for a while, and I must say I’m liking it. Definitely met some staff with attitude, some are nice. So far Willy is super good and helpful, he’s always willing to help, the other day he helped me when I had some questions and few hours ago he helped me with my missing package; him and a wonderful lady did help a lot.
I just moved in today! I love it already. Willie was really responsive the whole process! Guided me through what I need to get done! I walked in the apartment today and it looked great and smelled even better! Willie did a great job, and took good care of me during the process. The whole office staff is great and responds quickly! Thank you!!
Willie Mills helped us move in without a hitch..He really went above and beyond! We are looking forward to living in the area. The apartments and complex are beautiful and the amenities are top notch. .......Thanks for everything Willie!
I have truly enjoyed my experience here! The community is beautiful and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Moving has always been a stressful process for me but this has been the best experience I have had to date. I would definitely recommend 200 East!!!
The whole staff is amazing and super friendly, definitely would recommend this place. Our leasing consultant was Tracy and she beyond amazing !! She made sure we had everything completed to move in and walked us through the whole process. Loved this experience and love the staff !!
I had a great moving experience. Willie was great. He made the process swift and easy, great communication skills. He’s an okay fellow.
I now live at 200 East. It was the best decision I ever made. Having Tracys help moving in has been like having your best friend help you move in. All needs are taken care of promptly and she has made my move from Maryland seem like moving down the street. Thank you Tracy and 200 East.
Candice works wonders!! She has done a fantastic job with resident complaints. She really seems to care amount my needs as a resident and I couldn’t be happier with her professionalism and care. This place is really starting to feel like home.
Ive been living here for over a month now and I am happy with my choice to move to 200 East! Tracy was so helpful and easy to work with all throughout the leasing process. I recommend this community!!
The move in process was easy and straight forward. Willie Mills at the leasing office helped me out a bunch with any of the problems that arose. Very nice and respectful management.
We just moved in 2 days ago. So far so good. Im rating this review based on our experience with Willie. He is very welcoming and good with the kids as well
Angela was my rental agent and she was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, patient and remembered me after only meeting me once and she went out of her way to find me an apartment that worked perfectly for me! The community is quiet and friendly and the maintenance staff responds quickly. And the location is very convenient.
I just lived in I had a great experience willie took great care of me and all my needs the staff is great. I love it here. And if it wasn’t for Justin I wouldn’t have moved in. ♥️
Great place to live. Got a 1br with wood floors and high ceilings. Willie helped me in the office with great customer service for a service request. Decent price but lots of space and good neighbors. I would highly recommend if you work in the RTP area. and looking for an apartment to rent.
The maintenance team is awesome... professional and assessed as a team talking each other through the process and resolution...Thanks to Tyrone, Patrick and Billy in all you do for our community 🤗
Scheduled a tour this past Saturday and nobody was in the office, all doors were locked. A lady finally came to the leasing office a few minutes after and told me that all the staff quit and no employees worked there so there will be no tours. Extremely unprofessional- we traveled a long way for that apartment tour and I got a confirmation email and everything. DO NOT SUGGEST LIVING HERE.
The office is very responsive and Willie was a great help finding my package and Im very greatful!
The staff here are very helpful. Willy in particular. It’s been pleasant living here.
My experience has been great at 200 east. Clean environment, apartment team helps with any issues and my apartment is in great condition. Thank you 200 East for the opportunity to stay here.
Thanks to Angela and the leasing team at 200 East for making my transition into this new apartment very easy and smooth! Been here now for almost a week and can honestly say I am very pleased and glad I chose this apartment complex, from the easy and up front application process, the move in ready appliances offered and the dog friendly environment. And dont get me started on how close it is to the RTP! Thanks again Angela!
Ms. Angela has been a tremendous help since we’ve moved in. I highly recommend 200 East and their tremendous staff.
I Just Want To Say Thank You To The Leasing Office For Getting Our Heat And Water Fixed And For Getting The Lights Back On In The Breeze Way You Guys Are Awesome. Thanks To Our Maintenance Team For Such A Quick And Professional Response👏🏽
First thing first they would not let me visit my apartment before signing the lease or before my prior my move in date due to it not being ready. Secondly the apartment was still not ready. The bathtub was filthy and paint chipping over the laundry door also the laundry door got jammed, patio paint chipping, oven door would not open, and NOTHING was clean. Food in the crack by the oven on the floor. It really look like someone just moved out! I am FURIOUS!!!!
Had a recent break up and had to move quickly. It was horrible trying to find an apartment during a pandemic. Jacquie made my Apartment search experience easy. She was prompt with response and gave excellent detail when describing floor plans. She truly gave me the white glove experience. You can live anywhere but excellent customer service is hard to find.
The apartment complex is nice. The three pools have been a lifesaver during the hot summer months. The gym is a nice size. I can get a nice workout in without feeling too cramped. The office staff seem to be pleasant and helpful. Cecily has been very reliable and quite welcoming. It is always a plus to havesomeone in the office who seems to genuinely care about your concerns.
Worst. Place. I. Ever. Lived.-Trash everywhere. Litter on the lawn for over a year. Just walking around some areas look like a landfill, esp. on walking trails. Hallways not much better. Disgusting.-Poor maintenance. Constant breakage. Obvious shortcuts.-Unsolved tickets for over a year-Front office staff unhelpful and even rude. If you have real concerns, will ignore you or accuse you of lying.-Rude neighbors
This is my first review but if anything is deserving of it, its 200 East! Ive never loved anywhere I lived this much. Ive been in the building for nearly a year now and this is the first time Ive ever renewed a lease. The new staff are amazing. I love everyone that works here, theyre more than just people I see in the lobby but have become like family. Michaela and Meryl are terrific! Everyone on the maintenance staff is friendly and very quick to help! The amenities are amazing. But what makes the community really special are the people, employees and neighbors I certainly recommend everyone come check out 200 East Apartments for themselves and Id be happy to call you my neighbor!
I would give this property 0 stars if it were possible. Maintenance is slow and they don’t always complete the job well. The front office people are condescending and rude. I recently moved out and instead of sending the bill for the money I owed to one of four mediums (email addresses, phone number AND forwarding address), they sent it to collections which then lowered my credit score. I always paid my rent on time or early, so it is not like I am a high risk individual. Don’t waste your time here, there are plenty of other apartments in the RTP area.
The exceptional leasing staff is one of the main reasons we chose this apartment complex! They are always extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. We have had a great experience so far!
I started my search for locating another place to live on February 14th and I had five different places on my list. I chose those five places due to their locations, affordability, and apartment layouts. 200 East was the first one on my list. When I came through the door I was greeted by smiling faces who were eager to assist me and that caught my attention. My Leasing Consultant, Jacquie Verbal, showed me the apartment lay out that I was interested in and also walked me through the process of what needed to be done with great professionalism, which I greatly appreciated. Long story short, I live at 200 East now as of February 28th, and I couldnt be more pleased. Now I have some of my guy friends interested in checking it out. Thanks Jacquie and Amanda for a great move-in experience!
Staff was great community was great it’s worth the move and a good place to raise children
The smoke detector in the second bedroom was inoperable. Once the maintenance request was put in -- the response was quite expedient. The maintenance guy (truly wished I had his name) was professional, and quite efficient in fixing the problem. Did I mention that his speed with this repair could actually be placed in the Guinness World Book of Records. Great job!
200 East was the last of 5 places that I looked at when searching for an apartment. My job transferred me to NC so I lived in an extended stay until I leased here. A great experience from beginning to end and the great service we received from Jacquie Verbal when shown the apartment to the friendliness and helpfulness of Kiara after we signed lease has been awesome. Im already recruiting family to visit so they too can look into relocating.
The management at this location is awful and incompetent.I was illegally given access to one of the apartments here (without knowing it), my money was taken, I was then pushed out of my apartment by a fake landlord (say WHAT?!) who took my money but did NOT actually deliver housing services as agreed. This illegal disruption to my pre-paid stay occurred after I asked basic questions about unit hygiene and cleanliness circa Covid-19.The fake landlord, who turned out to be just a tenant posing as the owner (!!?), not the actual owner of the apartment -- didnt want to answer any questions and was irritated w/ being asked about how clean they are keeping the unit inbetween guests. But they ARE trying to keep my money. And if you can believe it, even after that nightmare, while in a dispute, when I repeatedly + EXHAUSTIVELY tried to contact the management company to confirm even basic facts about who truly owns the apartment so I could simply know who to hold accountable, the corporate office ignored my calls for at least 2-3 weeks (literally no one ever picks up at the front desk). As of this writing, they STILL havent contacted me.-- AND --The on-site Property Manager, who is brand new to the company, was so afraid of doing his job without the input of corporate -- an office that obviously cares very little about tenants at this property to begin with -- that he was not helpful either.Based on the management, alone, I would absolutely not recommend anyone ever rent here. Their management is horrendous, there is NO leadership ability (no one takes accountability for anything), *EVERYONE* passes the buck, and God forbid you need something or something doesnt go well -- you will waste your time and could be out of money for a long, long while.I literally need to hire attorneys now -- yet more $$$???? --- just to force basic answers that should be public knowledge out of this office.**** LOOK ELSEWHERE. Management was TERRIBLE. ****
I have been here for over 10 years and I have appreciate all of the management. I especially would like to thank Michaela for the kindness and support during my recovery from surgery. The management team has done a great job of of updating the apartment complex. The changes are WONDERFUL . Keep up the good work..
This is a must place for anyone wanting to feel relaxed in a place of peacefulness, bliss and contenment in a place you can call home. The feel of a resort is the best way I could explain 200 East Apartments. I love calling this my home. The staff are great and rent is affordable.
Was looking for apartments for a while and then decided to be picky and saw this one. Its absolutely amazing here, we got a new design and everything its new. Theyre so spacious apartments, and he garages are HUGE. The staff was wonderful, especially Patrick, he actually knew what he was talking about! Which I found was rare through apartments unfortunately. This place is quiet and everybody is so kind and friendly Ive already met my neighbors because they wave. The car wash bay is kept clean and maintenance is quick. Two pools and a gym is a plus too. Pricing is reasonable and they have prorated rent for first month! Always a bonus. I love this place so far and happy I chose it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I toured this community today, and I was VERY impressed. The upgrades done to this community left nothing to be desired from what I saw. The layouts are quite spacious, and seem to have something to meet everyone’s needs. The office staff were also very pleasant and helpful. If there’s something that comes available that meets my time frame requirements, I would love to call 200 East my home!
I was helping my best friend with finding a new place and move in and have to say this place is pretty awesome. She took me with her to see a few places and this place was the best. The girls in the office all had a smile, were welcoming, and helpful. My girl decided on this place and actually moved in. I helped her move in too and we noticed a few issues and when we told the service team they came over later that day and fixed everything for her. Like idk what the other reviews are about but I have to say during this experience helping my girl the staff did tell us they are new with new management so it seems they are trying their best to make people happy and it definitely showed. Once my lease is up I’m moving here for sure!
I have lived here a long time and I can honestly say that the new team is off the chain!!!!! The new maintenance team is making bid improvements! I’m not a fan of the valet trash yet but it is starting to improve too! I understand that things happen and I can definitely appreciate the effort the staff is taking to make us happier here!!
I want to truely thank julius and jackie for making accommodations in a timely and professional manner . I must say they truly care about their tenants and go above and beyond to make sure the needs of the community are met. Once again thank you!
Firstly, you could see that most of the 5 star reviews are fake because most of the reviews are populated in 1, 2, and 5 star. If a happy resident wants to leave a review for this place, most likely, it will be 3 or 4 star.Further, please read the reviews carefully before signing the lease. Long story short, in 7 years renting different apartments, I did not have such horrible experience. Maybe thats why I did not pay attention to the reviews before. The staff are the worst part. I suggest to weigh the staff behavior the most when you are looking for apartments. I shorten my experience to the below points.1. Rude and bad staff behavior. Initially, I left an honest review here. Then the manager (Jeff) FORCED me to change my review to a better one by threatening with charging some fees. Read the following about the fees.2. I evacuated my apartment about a month earlier to the end of my lease to leave to a different state, with paying all the remaining rents. However, the staff refused to accept my keys. They told me that their policy is to get the keys EXACTLY at the end of the lease date, and if I turn in my keys even a day earlier they will charge me for full termination fees, which was twice of my monthly rent ($2,300). I could not believe that I was desperate to move to a different city, and they wanted to charge me for that amount JUST FOR THE KEYS. So, I gave my keys to my friend to turn them in later. Unfortunately, my friend delayed a couple of days, and they wanted to charge me for $300. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Jeff the manager told me on the phone that if I change my review, he will wave this charge.3. They will charge you for good for hidden fees. When you leave in an apartment for at least a year, it is possible to pass a due date as an honest mistake. Here, if you do that, they will charge you with high fees, which are not negotiable. In other places I have been to, if the management finds that it was a once in a lifetime honest mistake, the waved the charge. Rest assure that they will find something to charge you for.4. Not enough parking spots.5. Always dirty stairs.I REGRET FOR NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO STAFF AND ONLINE REVIEWS BEFORE. Hope these helps.
This apartment community is in a great location near RTP and is full of features and amenities. I love the newly redone fitness center and the really cozy clubhouse. I went on a tour and the staff was very welcoming, friendly and eager to answer my questions. The apartments offer a ton of space and storage with modern updates.
Even though the bad reviews may scare some people off I have been very impressed with the place so far! I have been here for about a month and I have no complaints. The pools are awesome, staff at the front have been nothing but helpful and friendly with my family and myself, my fiance loves the 24 hour gym, and Im loving my new apartment! Neighbors are very friendly. The atmosphere of the place is very quiet and calm. My family and I think this place is awesome compared to Massachusetts! Overall, I am happy to be here.
Ive lived here for about three years. TL;DR its a great place for the area and the money compared to other places. I would recommend it with the following caveats.ProsTwo outdoor pools with gas grills, one indoor pool, fitness center, car vacuum/tire pressure center, and a dog park.Office staff is friendly.Very close to I-40ConsTaking a left out of the apartment complex on to S Miami is SUICIDE during rush hour.Hidden fees all over the place. They get you on rent, and also make you pay their taxes for them, and contract you in to paying for their contractor trash pickup, and every other nickle and dime they can you can be sure they will pass the expense directly on to you.All services are outsourced. Zero accountability from the staff.Trash pickup sometimes just decides not to get your trash. Then the office likes to fine you $35 for leaving it out.Ive seen everything from condoms, blunt wraps with discarded tobacco, to broken glass in the parking lot. Litter around the complex is not picked up by anyone.
Great staff, always available to assist tenants
Received great help from Jacquie and Jasmine.
The staff was great and everything was explained to me clearly before my move in date. A great place to stay as well.
If I could leave this apartment a negative rating I would. Horrible Apartment complex!!!! Do Not Live here. Theres a constant change of staff, assistant managers with the worst attitudes that do nothing to assist residents when theres defective property equipment and malfunctions. I will NOT be renewing here, Ive stayed in luxury apartments before and this is far from it. Youre charged monthly for pest control and theres nothing of the sort being done. You will have an abundance of yellow jackets on your balcony, bugs getting inside crevices and etc. The knobs, towel racks, and mirrors fall off of the wall and sinks fixtures, garbage disposals break down, and last but not least the the windows arent sealed or placed correctly so expect those to not work properly. O and to add to the list of problems you will pay $30 for valet trash and they choose when to pick up and the compost doesnt work. Go figure! According to the assistant manager Mikayla its not the Properties responsibility when damages occur due to the faulty equipment. I will be reporting this apartment complex to the BBB.
My experience living here is the best I believe Ive ever had. Its a nice quiet neighborhood, the staff here are very understanding. Theyre very informative and keep residents updated on any changes with whats going on, for an example with the weather, changes in the clubhouse, etc. Nice amenities, maintenance on point, just all around good people. I would recommend this apartment complex to any and EVERYONE!!!
I’ve been a resident here for over a year. The flooring offers no sound buffer. I’m wide awake because my neighbor downstairs is currently blasting loud rap music and my neighbors upstairs are stomping like elephants and dropping things loudly. I literally hate it here because I have the worst neighbors imaginable. They have no regard for anyone but themselves. If you move here please beware there is no sound buffer and you will hear every footstep etc.
Crooks.Theyre asking tour guides and new residents to leave reviews after trying to bribe current residents with prizes for good reviews. Im not sure why they cant keep maintenance men but some of these apartments should be illegal to rent. I really dread going to the office, the assistant manager is unprofessional. I never had these problems with the previous management.
I lived at this location for about a year. The complex is within close proximity to Research Triangle Park. It was definitely affordable in comparison to other apartments nearby or in Brier Creek. The gas stove and heating were very nice. My utility bills for gas and electricity rarely exceeded $75-$100. HOWEVER, the quality of the apartments are trash. The paint on the walls is so cheap that any accidental touch can leave a mark and/or remove paint. The carpet is also very cheap and this off white/eggshell color. Also, within a few weeks of moving in, my laundry door fell off of the hinges. I also disliked the lack of security cameras on the premises. Around Christmas in 2014, several of my neighbors care were vandalized and broken into. Being alarmed, I questioned the staff about the presence of security cameras and security. I was told that there were no cameras which is absolutely unacceptable. Also, some times my trash was not picked up even when I put it out by the correct time. The bedroom has no overhead light. The bathroom and kitchen are tiny in the one bedroom. I would not live here again.
New staff is friendly and very helpful. Its a shame that they have to work through the neglect and bad management of previous ownership. Given time, I believe the tenants will see the changes and experience better service than before. Rome wasnt built in a day, so give this property time to make necessary and updates. The potential is endless.
My name is Michael Zegeye, I just want give awesome comment about Cecily McDonald. She did treat me nicely and professionally. She is best of the best!
This complex has really improved under new manager Meryl. She is the first manager I’ve see out of office walking property. The new team have a very professional operating style. I hated my experience living here until they came aboard. The apartments are great just response time, follow up and poor office staff made it a nightmare. So glad to see things are so much better. And Chad is fantastic!!! Thanks for your hard work and now I can recommend to others
UPDATE!! - I recently put in a maintenance request, waited 3 weeks for someone to come, and the ticket got closed out without anyone showing up. Stopped by the office to inquire, was told someone would call me... no call. Just another thing added to the list. You will deal with the same things if you move here. Beware!!!This community has gone way down hill since first moving in 4 years ago. The new ownership was supposed to bring with them better community management- just the opposite! Maintenance requests go unanswered for weeks. Trash is littered all over the community. Rent hikes in excess of 15% year over year.DO NOT BELIEVE THE 5-STAR REVIEWS!! The management company bribes residents and prospective tenets to leave 5-star reviews.Go live somewhere else!! You’ll regret moving here!
BEWARE!!!! If you’re thinking of moving here, RUN the opposite direction! I have only been here 4 months and I swear I wish I could un-sign that lease! We’ve had problems constantly since we’ve moved here. Moving into a dirty apartment should’ve opened my eyes. We had to clean the whole thing before bringing any of our belongings in. Our AC stopped working on Memorial Day, was down almost two weeks, and we are still having problems with it. Every time someone comes, after about 2 days of continuously calling management, they swear they have fixed it. It has been 76 in my apartment all day today, air constantly running. We have gaps in our main entrance door as well as the balcony door that we’ve asked to be fixed. Our stairways are disgusting. The parking lot and around our building is always full of trash. What’s the point of having a groundskeeper? Bugs are ridiculous! I mean the list goes on! Management is NO GOOD! They do not care about the residents here! Oh yeah there’s a young girl who lives in my building who breaks into peoples cars, I’ve seen it myself so LOCK YOUR DOORS!
I came by the property around 11am on Saturday and the sign on the front door said the leasing center was open, but no one was there. After about 15 minutes, still no one so I drove around the property (which looks very nice) and came back. When I returned there were extra cars in the lot. Upon walking in there seemed to be a property rep speaking to potential tenants in the lobby. I stood there for a few moments with zero acknowledgement. Next another person walked in (a landscaper I believe) and he was immediately acknowledged and spoken to. Then they all went into an office, again with no acknowledgement directed towards myself. I left.
Terrible place to live. Screwed me out of 2 months rent.
I don’t know where to start with this apartment complex. My fiancé and I moved in last year and we have officially moved out. We rented originally from the old owners of Greystar and they were wonderful, but disappointingly enough I can’t say the same about this apartments new owners. After having bugs in our apartment, our AC unit flooding all of our floors, and our dish washer never working we’ve had it. I have now found out that some of our friends are having similar issues.. one of my friends has been without light in her home for weeks and is unable to cook- she works from 8am-11pm. Another one of my friends has not had a working ac for weeks, she has a bug infestation that the owners knew about before her renting and have not corrected it. In addition, she had informed me that the apartment complex had taken everything out of one of her friends apartment (after being late with rent (not by a lot I might add)) and they put everything in the dumpster (all of his food, electronics, and personal items). I am FED UP with hearing how these people treat their residents and something needs to be done. DO NOT RENT HERE! BEWARE!!
I have seen two different managements of the leasing office. And the new management is amazingly efficient. While there were challenges with carpets, cleanliness, blinds, mailbox in the beginning.Once we complained the new management turned it around the very next day. We were happily surprised with the efforts of the new management.Really appreciate efforts of Merryl, Cecily & Brandy for the quick turn-arounds.
Read all the reviews below and you will see how terribly managed this place is.Any positive reviews are fake I am sure.I’ve never had a more miserable rental experience in my life. This place is a scam and they only care about making their money - I would never willingly choose to live here again.1. Parking is so terrible. I normally have to walk several hundred yard from my car to my apartment. Half of the parking spaces by my building are reserved (that you pay extra for) and they keep adding on more. Plus, people with reserved spaces and multiple cars keep them parked in normal spaces for weeks at a time, adding to the limited parked.2. There are so very many extra fee. And if you don’t opt out of your lease with enough time, they will charge you more than what you signed for on a month to month lease.3. People have had their cars, homes, and the mailboxes broken into. There is no security whatsoever, so prepare to pack heat.4. The maintenance staff is completely unresponsive, and took 3 weeks just to repair my disposal.5. This place is completely overpriced. Don’t be lulled by the cheap and false amenities they show you in the tour. There are much better options around for way less.6. Don’t listen to any of their replies on these reviews. They leave their number, but any attempts to reason with them are futile. This place is a scam, and the managers are fake. Nothing ever changes - they just try to rip you for as much money as they can get.
To say that Edinborough at the Park was a HUGE disappoint would be an understatement. I moved here in May and have sustained nearly $5,000 in damage to my vehicle due to THEFT. This morning I found that my vehicle was broken into for the second time since moving here and it has only been 5 months. If you are a graduate student or a young professional and value peace of mind and safety then move to Cary. Edinborough at the Park shows next to no concern for safety in their community. There used to be gates for residents to use, however, they decided that instead of maintaining them, they would remove them altogether so now the parking lot is prime picking for criminals. Furthermore, the parking lots are not well lit meaning a flashlight is needed to navigate the parking lot during the night hours (another welcoming amenity for any criminal). When confronted about the lack of safety, the staff assured me that it doesnt happen often and even stated that it happens to everyone. I found this to be unsympathetic and was told that anywhere I move I would be confronted with the same amount of crime. This is clearly a lie as other apartment communities have taken more steps to assure the safety of their community. It is also a proven fact that well lit areas are less susceptible to crime.Instead of addressing serious security concerns, they suggested I rent a garage for an additional $170/month.Like the other reviews, there will likely be a response requesting I call a number to discuss my poor experience with customer service and that Edinborough at the Park strives to make all of their residents experience a positive one. All a waste of time.Dont make the same mistake I did, as a student in Law School I have spent more time addressing concerns with my apartment and vehicle than I have studying.
Ive been living here for about 7 months now and I cannot wait until my lease is up. Here is a list of everything you need to know (in my opinion) before making the decision to move here:1. Parking is terrible and extremely limited.Instead of resolving this issue, the complex chose to capitalize by offering very few reserved parking spaces for an extra $30-$70 a month. I made an honest mistake one night and parked in a reserved spot. My car was towed and it cost $175 to get it out. If you are not parked by 6pm, I can guarantee you will have to park extremely far from your building.2. In addition to rent you have to pay an extra $35 for valet trash. This is a complete waste of money the valet trash is a jankie company that drives around in an ordinary pick up truck, grabs your trash and takes it to the dumpster for you. There have been some nights where they have not picked up my trash. I have also heard from neighbors that if you have too much trash meaning it is too heavy that they will not take your trash. Also everything is supposed to fit compactly in the small valet trash can that they provide for you.3. You have to pay an extra $30-$35 washer and dryer fee.Although its optional, its not realistic to opt out of this.4. Neighborhood has trash everywhere. There are empty soda bottles and trash near my building thats been there for weeks.5. VERY basic and outdated amenities. The rental office is very outdated. There are two outdoor pools and one indoor lap pool but the outdoor pools are not aesthetically pleasing, very outdated and the water looks murky and dirty. The perk of living in an apartment complex is to enjoy all of the amenities available to you. If you would like great amenities this is not the place for you. The gym equipment is poor outdated and extremely limited. If you would like a quality gym this is not the place for you.6. Very poor lightingThe lighting in the neighborhood is very terrible. In order to get to my home I have to drive down a very very dark road at night the only way Im able to see is if I drive with my high-beams on. Sometimes there are cars randomly pulled over on the side of the road and that can be very scary driving home. I have had company try to locate my apartment home at night and they never can because they cannot even locate the building number due to the poor outdoor lighting.
So disappointed with the competence level of the staff here. I SEE BUGS/ROACHES inside my apartment on a DAILY basis!! If not stuck in a lease, I’d definitely move. The property is not very well maintained. There have been numerous issues with my move in from day one. I have even been here a full month. Moving here was the worst decision I’ve made this year.
Worst apartment in RTP area in terms of service, property condition etc. They increase the rent of existing tenant like crazy. For me they increased the rent by $175 per month in the renewal offer. I have seen so many people suffering here with different issues (unhygienic exterior, trash, parking, noise) during my stay. You can definitely find so many newly built apartment in the area for the same or lesser price.
I toured this community a couple day ago. I saw three apartments and loved the renovations. Ive been looking at different apartments in the area. This communities prices seemed the best deal so far considering their location and what they offer. The staff were friendly and profecional. The neighborhood was quiet while I was there.
When I say I don’t know who this new mgmt team is Harpo!!!! 😂 I placed a request for my water to be fixed. I had come to the office several times with the prior mgmt advising my water pressure was not good and the water wasn’t getting hot. Everyone told me they would send someone, nothing ever happen. I placed a request last night because my partner had had it. Literally got a message in less than 24hrs saying problem solved. So we rushed back home to check it and I’ll be dang!!!!!!!!! THE WATER PRESSURE IS LIKE NO OTHER AND THE WATER GETS HOT!!!! Whoever these new maintenance people are and mgmt is I need 200east to keep them. They are the TRUTH!!!!!!
Leasing staff does a poor job of understanding requests. My original lease quote was for 13 months, but when it came time to sign the lease, somehow, my lease term had changed to 9 months.Parking is terrible. No ifs ands or butts. You have to pay almost 10-15% more a month just to get a reserved spot or garage. Visitor parking is horribly inconvenient for anyone living at the end opposite the leasing office.Fees. Fees for having your water meter read, fees for a mandatory trash service pickup (even for those people who live 10 feet from the compactor). Note these fees are not mentioned until AFTER you sign the lease.Do not pay the Security Bond. They still charge you for repairs after move out.Easily the worst apartment complex Ive ever lived in and not worth the money or hassle. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Parking is insanely terrible and management refuses to even acknowledge the issue. Either make more parking spaces or give everyone their own assigned space.I live on the northern side of the complex, and usually have to park 2-300 yards from my building, which is very aggravating not just because of the walk time, but because it makes even simple tasks like carrying in groceries a major hassle.
I cant wait until my lease is up, these are the worst apartments to stay in!!!! Maintenance comes 2-3 weeks after you call & the people in the office are very unprofessional & rude! About a month ago my bedroom carpet was flooded (due to my upstairs neighbor)& it took them 2 whole weeks to dry & cure my carpet! I asked for a transfer & they told me I had to pay more for rent also pay for the transfer. DO NOT MOVE HERE ITS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!!
I do not write reviews, but I am disappointed with the management.I am a current resident here, I have always loved my stay as a renter in the apartments. But recently my experience has disappointed, rent price has drastically increased during my lease renewal and they force you to take Cable TV plus Internet package, even though if you dont need it. If I am paying 40$ for my internet, why am I being charged for technology package of 90$ which I dont ever use it.I agree it is a part of apartment rentals services they are offering, but these add-ons should be optional and only if we need it. What if I am a travelling employee and I do not need internet and Cable TV connection. If you really care about your residents, make these services optional.
This property is racist and when you do have a concern or a complaint it’s never fixed. If you have children don’t move here, if you think your rent will always be the same price each month quess again, and you if you own a nice car it will probably be broken into or towed by the private towing that the racist management has hired.... All the apartments will have some type of problem that will go ignored and yes thank management for that once again, black mold is covered with paint, leaking pipes, old appliances and out dated windows and doors that have a horrible draft during the winter. Lastly don’t forget just because you pay $1,250 a month this property belongs to the management and if you try relaxing in the club house they will make sure that if you come to often Patrick, will come with his creepy eyes and lies to make you feel just like you don’t live there and the actual manager Jesse, allows all of this to happen because they love making sure that the residents don’t feel comfortable where they live. I would never recommend this property to anyone and yes people can lie so take your chances if you like good luck with that one.
I have lived here since August 2013 and have to say I love it. Its close to brier creek with tons of shopping and not as pricey and loud as the apartments around that area. I currently stay in a 2 bedroom with a garage that faces the nature preserve. Very private and peaceful. They have 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool and a fitness center that we truly enjoy being able to have within walking distance of our home. The maint staff are out to fix things the same day most days, and the office is great. We are truly happy, and look forward to staying another year or so.
I recommend renting elsewhere.Overall disappointed in my experiences living here. Specific issues that came up repeatedly:1. Not enough parking - Spaces are limited enough that I often have to park several buildings away, and roughly 10% of all spaces are reserved for those who pay extra. Apparently these were sectioned off about 2 years ago, in what could have been an attempt to increase revenue at the expense of residents.2. Rules enforcement - The pool is often overrun with visitors; Im not opposed to occasionally exceeding the official one visitor per resident limit, but when residents cant enjoy the pool its a problem. Ive never seen staff intervene. Similarly, large-scale fireworks have gone off repeatedly tonight in the middle of the crowded and tree-decorated parking lot. No staff intervention.3. Maintenance visits - the maintenance staff themselves seem fine from my experiences. However, the office provides in my opinion insufficient notice of a visit (a paper is supposed to be left on your door) and will not predict the time of the visit beyond (9-5), which I consider unacceptable for an organization that should be offering some modicum of privacy to residents.
Not happy with this apartments, I been living here for 3 month and each month I have different rent bill. They tell you how much you are going to pay each month but then is different. They have to be more clear what to pay and extra fee. This month bill I got two extra fee that I never hear about it. Another big PROBLEM IS PARKING. Im paying to live in here and I can not even find one parking spot in the same building i have to park like 5 building away that is sad! they have to do something about it! I will not recommend edinborough at the park to no one. by the away the service there is great. But not living here.
I will provide a detailed review once my legal team permits.
The apartment itself is nice. A few small things here and there but nothing major for the money.However,-Parking is horrible. If I dont get home from work before 5, I almost always have to park several buildings away.- I was forced to pay rent for a washer and dryer even though I didnt need them.- It took 3 months to get anyone in to spray for the ants that were taking over my apartment.- I was told upon move in that a window that looked gross was going to be replaced (not due my request). Its been over a year and its still there.- The staff was very rude and unhelpful on several occasions, including when my car was broken into, when I informed them there was broken glass all over their sidewalk where residents commonly walk their dogs, and upon move out.- I received a nasty note from a maintainence main who fixed my washer about not leaving things in my pockets because he found a piece of metal in it. (100% my fault, but there was no need for the rudeness). My biggest issue that sent me over the edge with this apartment complex is too long and complicated to fully explain but I was treated with great disrespect and like I was stupid upon trying to turn in my notice to move. After everything turns out I wasnt actually wrong about my lease ending almost an entire year before they tried to claim. Who would have thought?I would not recommend this complex. They have major customer service issues to work on and need to massively expand their parking lot.
I am not quite sure where to begin with this review but I would advise anyone looking at these apartments to run the other way. I have lived here almost two years and the experience has been awful since before I even moved in.• A “glitch” in the system signed me a lease for a one bedroom one bath apartment when I had signed a two bedroom, two bath lease. I’m There was “nothing they could do”. This was six days before I was due to move in and I now had nowhere to go. I only ended up being able to move due to another apartment being evicted. I should’ve taken this as a red flag! (First set of staff)• Parking is ATROCIOUS. Dont expect to park anywhere near your unit when you get home any later than 8pm. Walking across 2-4 buildings at night in a very dimly lit parking lot is unacceptable.• Full renovations were done while I was living in my apartment with only 2 days notice. A hole was punched in my wall by a construction worker. My door was left wide open during the day while they were in and out. The most inconsiderate thing that has ever been done to me as a resident of any apartment complex. And to top this off, they did not seal the granite countertops that were installed, so they are grainy and dull.• The staff turnover has been horrible. Every visit to the office yields new faces of people who are rude, inconsiderate and don’t work here long enough to build any relationship with their residents. There have been 3 different sets since I’ve been here - in two years time.• Dont let the Google pictures fool you. The pools are green with algae and full of bugs. The grounds are covered in dog feces and the stair wells are full of wasps nests that are never treated. The dumpster is continuously overfilled and trash bags are left all over the ground. It is absolutely disgusting how these grounds are actually kept compared to the glamorous photos posted here. The “car wash” never has a water supply and is a useless perk they will just use to swindle you into a lease.I got a lease renewal letter today and I guess those granite countertops were expensive- I am being asked to pay a total of $126 more a month, with no explanation as to why. I cannot wait for my lease to end so I can move to a community that actually cares about their residents.Take these Google reviews at face value. The staff has leasing goals to meet and will tell you whatever it takes to get you signing that paper. As a real resident, I would advise looking anywhere else in RTP other than 200 East.
Ive had a positive experience moving in here. Cecily took really good care of me and made sure my move in was a simple smooth process. The other ladies in the office are very pleasant as well. Deisy & Vincinta are always welcoming and ready to assist me. Im really feeling great about my decision to move here! Also the attention to my needs since Ive been in my new place has been Grade A!
I Definitely recommend this apartment complex to be one of the best residential areas in Durham North Carolina. It’s close to everything so it’s very convenient, and the managers and staff always treat you well, and a very special shoutout to Vincinta Moody for always helping with any questions and responding in a very fast time frame.
Best place to stay short term or long term daisy and vinceta are the office help and they are super helpful and awesome always on top of anything and everything you could need or ask for!!!
Terrible place to live in.- the floors are all hardwood, so youre at the mercy of your upstairs neighbor.- the walls are wafer thin, so if your next door neighbor decides to stay awake watching something on tv, you will stay awake as well- the dryer vents on to the staircase. While the stairs do smell fresh all the time, its not a fun feeling when you have hot air and lint blowing on your face while you climb the stairs.- nails are always sticking out of the stair and balcony floors- fights/arguments breaks out at least 2-3 times a month after 1 AM- the car wash almost never works (used once in the last 12 months)- everybody leaves their trash outside the apartment- ants, bugs and cockroaches are very common- car was broken into few weeks back, no security measures implemented- the air conditioning is so out of date, it runs all the time (even when set at 90)This is not an exhaustive list. However, I think the above points should serve as a fair warning to stay away from here.
If you enjoy your mailbox being crowbarred open by criminals on a regular basis, you’ve come to the right place.I’m sure the apartment manager will leave a BS reply below with their phone number and insincere remarks to make amends, but nothing will change. Don’t live here if you have a choice. Get out while you can.
Patrick over there totally sucks. His people skills are lacking, very disappointed with the interaction I had. Not sure about the property, but he definitely made me not want to recommend or see anything this location has to offer.
This is a great apartment.I am a fairly new resident. I came in to the rental office 5 hours after I landed at RDU(for the first time) in search of an apartment. Apparently the management has changed recently but the current staff is very sharp and courteous. I moved into a 1B1B with great wooden flooring and carpeted bedroom. I can not -not mention- the Fireplace. It is a show stealer. The rent is super affordable and it is placed very strategically. 200 East Apts. are in the goldilocks zone. Far enough from the airport to avoid any aircraft noises and at a reasonable distance form Durham and Raleigh downtown. They have many strip malls around and a Walmart Supercenter too. The apartments are spread out, greeen and they maintain the property really well. The new clubhouse, indoor pools and gym are awesome.Special props to *@Cecily McDonald*She is super professional and made me a deal that I could not refuse. I was lucky enough to get St. Patricks specials while no other apartment houses did that. She laid down the houses by its availability and found the best one for me based on my needs. She made herself available on my move in day to make sure that everything was attended amicably. Introduced me to my neighbor as well! She is very proficient and she knows her thing!Update: 3+ months of stayThe place is good and quiet but there are unusually a lot of bugs, bees and spiders all around the apartments. Its difficult to even stand in the patio. The gym equipments are insufficient and does not fulfill the sanitary requirements.
The staff is always friendly & willing to accommodate for any situation. I will miss living here.
I went to look for an apartment at this community on 04/02/16, i was a walk-in and did not have an appointment. The guy at the reception table was chatting up two women customers and did not even look in my direction. All he needed to do was either ask me to wait or come back another time.I was with my wife and we waited for 10 mins with not even an acknowledgment and finally left.Future Residents not welcome would be an appropriate description for this place.
I wanted to add to my already lengthy review. There was a gas leak in the apartment next to ours. Office staff, maintenance, and regional manager didnt seem to care. Everyone stated how unfortunate it was but noo bothered to call the gas company or inspect to see why the gas was coming through our apartments vents. Eventually after 4 days for notifying staff and maintenance we were told not to worry about it bc its not our apartment even tho the smell of gas was overwhelming. I finally called the police, fire department, and gas company. After about 2 hours of searching they find a leak in the apartment beside us and tell me its a good thing we call when we did. This would have gotten worse. TAMARA is the regional manager that I spoke with and gave a very sorry apology, while giving me the middle finger(literally)(held up two fingers and dropped the index finger and kept it up for a few seconds. Cecily is the office staff that was acknowledge about the leak through numerous emails/phone calls. They did not respond to the gas leak, but had time to send me an email about a trash fine. Turns out it wasnt even my apartment! To make matters worse CECILY lied and said she called the gas company when I reported it. The manager at the gas company said there was never a report made until I called. I had two children and this was devasting to hear. The lied, and didnt even care. Maintenance said hed follow up the next day, but took the day off. I think I will forward my emails to someone over the complex. More pics attached.Just an FYI to future residents- there is a section in the lease that states they can change the price of your utilities and amenities any time as long as they give you a 30 day notice. Hidden fees- Beware - valet trash went from $8.80-$30 just for some random guy to pick our trash up and stack it on top of his small Honda to drive it down to the dumpster(Ill upload this also). Not knocking the hustle, but come on! $30?? Just let me take my own trash, itd be alot more convenient.I just dont understand all of the fees. Its crazy! And a $5 monthly charge for a locker system to have your mail delivered. The apartments are just decent. I also would not believe the positive reviews. Most of them are ppl whove only toured the property, or new residents. About 2-3 months ago they tried to bribe the residents to write positive reviews for a chance to win prizes at the front office. If we gave them a glowing review then they give us prizes. One prize was a Google home. Most reviews talk about parking, and thats my concern and reason for review. Parking spaces are already limited, and on top of that residents park crooked. Their cars take up two parking spaces at a time. This is very annoying considering the shortage of parking. Trash is out of control. The dumpster is always running over, it looks and smells terrible. The on-site carwash is always running over with trash. Their excuse is valet trash doesnt run on weekends/sundays. Not sure why they just dont hire someone else to keep the property clean. Considering Everyone is paying for trash service, there should be no excuse for the dumpster to look the way it does. Ive posted photos, they should post to the photos section hopefully. Ill keep adding photos of the property and parking. And the pools are always dirty. Indoor and outdoor pools. Youll have to clean them yourselves in order to enjoy this amenity. Trash is always overflowing at the pools as well.On numerous occasions Ive reported animal feces all over the property. Animal feces on the steps, and sidewalks. Management does nothing. Everytime this happens Ill upload those photos also. Maybe then theyll actually take action to keep this place up. When I report to the office they just delete my emails. I show that also. Poor management
My name is Katherine Johnson, I’m a resident at 200East in Durham N.C. In December 2015 me and my daughter called and scheduled an appointment with Cecily during our phone conversation she informed me about the location and how long these apartments had been in the RTP area. Cecily also informed me about how beautiful the property is and how the residents really enjoy their stay at 200 East and how she likes working here.My daughter and I came down from Syracuse N.Y. to visit several apartment homes, just before the Christmas Holidays. Where we meet her in the office, she took us to see the three bedroom apartment, when we walked in we couldn’t believe how beautiful it was, and the space is absolutely lovely. Cecily heard our concerns, she worked out some major details that was a big concern to me and my daughters, and it was things that no other leasing consultant had told us, and we had just came from seeing 3 other apartments in Raleigh N.C. We made a quick decision that this was going to be our home.We are now moved in and we are still ilove with 200 East, and the staff in the office is just Great! Every concern me and my daughters have Vincinta, Deisy or Will who’s no longer hear, is just Great! We have a lot of trust in these ladies, they are concerned about there residents, they make sure we are happy, and they work hard to meet our needs. I’ve never had a leasing office who makes me feel I’m family! Thanks for all you ladies do at 200 EastMs. Johnson
Do not rent here! Apartments are not worth the money. New renovations are still not worth the money. Ive seen over 15 other apts in the area that look better and have more to offer and better reviews. Once lease is up, were out of here. No parking!!! Valet trash is horrible. They come when they want, but we still have to pay. The management never seems to have an answer for anything, and no control over the renovations. Such a huge inconvenience! The pool areas looks terrible now after new management. It looks cheap. Im very unsatisfied with the renovations, and overall new management. Cant rent club house, workout equipment never works. Just terrible. Research other apartments in the area before making a decision to rent here. Also the increase in prices is based on other apts in the area, not what the piece of junk is actually worth. If youre considering paying what they ask, go find better for the same price.
This place is a joke! They had someone come paint my kitchen cabinets and a job that was scheduled to take 2 days has now taken 3 and they still have not cleaned up after themselves. They left paint on the floor in my kitchen and living room. I have made numerous phone calls to the office and contractor, yet I still have paint on my floors. I would not recomend this place to anyone! My truck was also broken into due to lack of security! There is also no parking out here .If you leave you house after 7pm be prepared to walk! The office does not help you at all .They just want your money and thats it!
Have lived here going in our second year and really miss the old management. There have been new renovations and perks implemented by the new folks and everything is just a mess. We were forced to pay for a locker system for our packages that the carriers don’t even use, almost every week maintenance is coming in to our specific apartment due to a new WiFi/cable system outage that we didn’t even opt for leaving dirt and dust all over the hardwood floors, and the office team is extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic. I will no longer recommend this complex to anyone looking for a home!
I was there from 2010-2012. Beautiful apartment. Unfortunately someone vandalized my car and a friend of mine within 6 months apart. Please be careful
I only been here a month. You are charged for everything and it can add up. Take forever to get Maintenance to fix something. This IS the worse experience I had. You pay for Trash which I am use to but if you live on the bottom they do not come and pick up your trash. So you giving a way your money. I two outlets that is not working. I am use to doing a service request and my stuff is done within 24-48 hours. I have went through a lot more than this but ... just wanted to say right now this is not the place I am going to hang in there and maybe be moving when my lease up.
I lived there for two years.. when the new management came in, what I thought couldnt get worse did! The new management makes Greystar (the former management company) look like they were angels! Granted Greystars employees (especially Patrick) were wonderful. No one seems to have a clue what the heck they are doing. DO NOT GO HERE. Management is horrible, neigbbors are shady, and there are breakins alllllll of the time!
I have stayed here for 2.5 years . Here is the complete list of pros and cons :Pros:1. This place was very close to my office. Daily commute was just over a minute. So I coped up with all the cons listed below.2. I really like the maintenance staff here, friendly, hard working and always ready to help.Cons:1. Add at least 150$-200$ above for monthly base rent.Whatever base rent you are given, you must add 150$-200 $ on top of that to make a reasonable cost of living estimate here. There is a 30$ charge on trash pick up+ 40$ charge on washer/dryer+Parking charges. Which brings me to my next point PARKING.2. Bad Parking Situation.Even though booking a parking spot here is Optional, it is really not an option for you if you consider the hassle of not going for one. There are 3 types of parking spaces available for booking here starting from 40$-200$ approx. 40$ parking is basically a spot on road that is reserved for you (consider yourself very lucky if you ever find one open for reservation), up to 200$ for a garage. If you dont book a parking (like I did, for my entire stay) here is the price. You will have to park at least 2-3 blocks away from your apartment. That is really not an issue in good weather, but consider walking 2-3 blocks everyday when it rains/snow etc .. and it really starts bothering you. Did some grocery shopping over the weekend?? Good luck hauling your groceries back and forth (between your car and apartment). On the bright side you will burn some calories :).If you have a kid or an elderly person moving in with you, you HAVE TO get a parking spot reserved. You dont really have a choice, but on paper it is still OPTIONAL.3. PAPER THIN FLOORS/WALLS.The new management decided to give us an upgrade last year . Ooooh Fancy Wooden floors, who wants those boring ugly carpeted floors right?? Wrong..Unless you want to hear EVERY SQUEAK that you neighbor upstairs makes, its better if you go for a top floor condo. Its horrible here with the new floors. My neighbors upstairs do not need to drop a dumbbell or jump like crazy for me to hear him..not required . Just plain and simple walking around the house will do the job . I can actually tell in which room the person is right now from the noise. HE GETS OFF THE COUCH AND I CAN STILL HEAR HIM (WITH MY DRYER RUNNING AND MAKING DECENT NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND).This is the classic example of good intentions but bad execution here.4. Clubhouse Facilities :The gym here is completely useless, it was better earlier (until the roof fell down, yes that happened ;)). You can still use the pool and tennis court without any issues here, but the gym here (with its bad equipment and out of order treadmills ) is practically useless. I doesnt bother me much because I use my office gym .Dont even think of not having a washer dryer in your apartment and using community washer/dryer. Community washer/dryers are out of order for almost 4 months now.5. Resident Online Portal is a joke here. You would think that if you are struggling with an issue in this community and the community gives you some sort of a facebook community page, you can go on there and express your issues (without the use of any profanity) and connect and collaborate with other residents sharing the same issues right?? Wrong.. management here likes to advertise a facebook like community page that they have come up with to bond and establish online interaction with your neighbors. But it is only of use it you want to share Pumpkin Pictures on Thanksgiving, any serious discussion (without the use of any profanity) which brings up the problems of living in this community is not allowed to be posted . The manager of the community WILL not publish your post unless you say something good about the place or share some irrelevant pictures. Thank GOD for GOOGLE REVIEWS
Where do I began. Lets start with 2 months of no electricity on the back half of my home. No fire detectors When I moved in. The garbage disposal was broken and leaking under the sink. No electrical wall coverings over sockets. Roaches from next door. The person above me water heater burst causing my apt to flood. Mold on my window seals. Constant changes in billing in regards to my rent. My rent is anywhere between 1250-1315 each month. No parking. The list goes on. I fell in love with the complex when I first seen it however looks can be deceiving. I have been more than compassionate with the staff and the complex and I just cant take it anymore. NEVER EVER MOVE HERE!!!!!!!! Once my lease it up Im out
