I have been living here for a few months and I love the design of the community as well as the fitness center which is always clean and effective for my workouts. Staff is very friendly and incredibly helpful. I see them working hard anytime I pop in to say hello.I would recommend any of my friends to apply here.
Absolutely amazing community. Both the apartment amenities and the staff make living at Aster worth every penny. Also the free parking is a boost as well.
I love the apartment itself and the amenities are nice. My issue is with the new management. Ever since they switched over it is impossible to reach anyone in the office. I try calling and no one ever answers. My husband has sent emails with questions and we receive no response. I can not just stop into the office because they are closed by the time I am home from work. We have made a maintenance request for our kitchen faucet and never recieved any call or attempt to enter the apartment to fix it. They recently switched over to Latch for the doors in the building and now our apartment door has a hideous part that is not painted where the old lock was removed. My husband emailed asking if this would be painted several days ago with no response. I called twice today with no answer. I think spending as much as we do for the apartment I expect better.
Roman and Kasey are super friendly and provide great service. They really go beyond to make sure youre satisfied and feel at home. Because of them, its been great.
I cant speak to the reviews from people having issues contacting Aster to inquire about available units, but Ive lived here for the past few years and have also experienced the recent change in management. Ill say this - when a company takes over a property, it can be a bit messy and busy for the first few months. I know that the leasing office staff is trying their best but have basically had to start from scratch in terms of maintenance, rental portal management, staffing, etc. This is obviously a cause for frustration for tenants but being a bit patient may go a long way. When I need something and know its going to take them longer than usual to get to my email, I walk down to the leasing office to talk to them and Kasey has been super helpful and has always resolved any questions I have. I unfortunately had a bathroom light go out and it took several weeks to get this fixed but again, the prior company leaves nothing behind so we just had to wait for the order to come in. Given how recent this complex was taken over, I would still give them a chance and be kind to these people if youre expecting any sort of resolve. Patience is a virtue and if you arent happy with how its going, just go talk to them.
This place is an absolute joke. You pay an arm and leg for a place that has the hot water shut off 20 times in a year. They have fire alarms going off every other month because they don’t seem to know how to manage their fire alarms. The staff is extremely rude and they don’t get back to you. Ever since Zack (old manager) left this place has taken several turns for the worse. By the way, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone above you and to the side of you. ZERO privacy. This will absolutely be my last year in this dump. You are better off going to Conley station right behind Aster. More affordable, more privacy, better managed
I like the location of this complex, but this place is not as safe as I thought it was. My motorcycle was stolen from the a parking garage few months ago, and the police told me that this happens a lot in this apartment. I emailed the office to inform about this issue but they said there are no cameras. Months later, somebody hit and run my car in a parking lot. However, again, there are no security cameras anywhere, even though there are a lot of bicycles and motorcycles have been stolen for a long time(true story), there is still no action taken. If the thieves are able to enter the building, that means that the building is obviously not secure. They also implemented a new security system so that more people can access the building. So my bike was stolen and car was damaged but the office is giving more people and non-residents access, which makes this place much more unsecure. Could you please install security cameras. I dont see the point of new latch system to get into the apartment. Now I need to have my key to open the garage and the phone to access the building. Its a lot more inconvenient.
Tried multiple times to contact by phone/email and no response. Couldnt schedule a tour online and when visited in person i wasnt welcomed. The property looks great but needs a better management.
I hate to have to give these apartments 3 stars, but since management changed last month communication and accessibility is terrible. No one EVER answers the phone, and no one is ever in the office to answer questions in person. Before management changed I could easily email or call and get an immediate response but now the most simple requests and questions are a headache trying to reach someone (still have not been able to get anyone to answer the phone after trying 3+ times a day for over a week). Additionally I have had to go 48 hours without hot water and sometimes one full day without water at all on over 3 occasions now because of maintenance issues in the entire building and not once have they offered residents anything for the inconvenience. The building is still super new so I don’t understand why this happens. Ona good note The location is amazing and the units are clean and have beautiful features. But when you pay the price you pay here communication and courtesy should be the foundation of everything. Gracie and Christina come back please!!!! With you two as managers I had absolutely no problems or complaints (except for the water but they can’t control that). Either way things seem to be going down hill here and I am not inspired in the least bit to renew
Seems like a scam. I have been trying to reach out to them for a few days now and no one seems to pick up the phone. I attempted calling them at least 8-10 times. I would rather go to another community than leasing with them. Such a shame for a new community to not handle their prospective clients properly.
This apartment looks good. I have been trying to reach them to find further details. No one is responding to the call. I have called for past 5 continuous days.
Leasing staff is great, they’re all really friendly and love our dogs. The apartment itself is very nice and all of the appliances except the washer and dryer are high end. The courtyards were beautiful when we moved in as one of the first residents however now the grass is dead from dog pee and there’s usually dog poop all over. Only other complaint is that the stairwells and garage become very dirty with trash and dust from inconsiderate tenants and not enough steady maid cleaning. The sound proofing is very good in our apartment only on occasion have I heard my neighbors being noisy. Our apartment has a great view of the pool and privacy of palm trees which I love.
Selecting one star just because there wasn’t an option for zero or negatives! We had a very strange experience trying to rent an apartment while moving out of state about two months ago. First, it was impossible to get hold of any sales agent to get a tour and virtual tours weren’t being offered then. After literally chasing with phone calls and emails for weeks, we had an appointment booked and our friends agreed to do the tour on our behalf. They were shown the B2 and B3 two bed plans, and we were interested in their B2 apts which were in the $2900 - 3200 per month range (which still seems true looking at their website today). But when we called back to sign a lease the next week, we were told that the same apt now would cost us $4200 as their management has changed and we need to pay more based on how much we make! All this after over a month of back and forth to just get a tour and basic details. We got frustrated and went ahead with Connolly Apts across the street from them and I must say Aster should learn a thing or two from their sales and management staff who’ve been extremely professional and amazing to interact with. It’s strange how Aster just drove away someone ready with a check to sign their lease. If this is the experience before even renting, I wonder how it must be to live there!
Great service, thanks for listening to our reviews and complaints. Love living here. A hundred percent improvement
Tooooo bad!!!!Started application 1 month ago but there is still no progress and no active contact. Every time you call to urge, they will come up with various reasons for prevarication. The problem is that the day you need to move in is five days later, do they just want Want to swallow holding fees?
Not sure why it’s such a problem for my mother to visit me on a weekend or for a week to help me as I recover from an accident. I also don’t know why 3.5 months from my lease end date (after living here for 3 years) I’m supposed to fill out a dog application and pay $50 extra a month and $500 deposit for her dog that visits occasionally. Also not sure why I am being singled out and harassed via email about this when it should be a non issue as I am not violating policy or law. I feel the deposit demand is unconscionable and that there is lack of human decency. The previous staff, Zak, Avelino, Graciela, and Deepak were all so kind and awesome, now with new management the staff are very inflexible with an issue that shouldn’t even be an issue to begin with.
I called this place home for a year. One of the first tenants to move in when it was recently opened. The apartment complex is close to practically everything including Bart, shopping and dining. The parking structure is amazing. It has remote control entry and electric charge stations. Management is friendly and professional during service requests as well. Although the units are relatively small in size, they provide commuters an opportunity to enjoy the East Bay. The complex is very secure when going away for the weekend. Occasionally maintenance falls behind on schedule, but overall it is a good place to live.
I lived at Aster for two months. Great location - close to 580/680 & very professional and kind leasing manager/consultants. The maintenance team member is without question the part of the onsite staff that residents have the most exposure. And Omid (Aster service technician) takes care of service requests in a timely manner, and friendly in the process. Highly recommend Aster apartment for rent.
Very modern apartment complex in the heart of Dublin.Thank you to Kasey & Cristina for making our move-in process easy.
Hands down best apartment complex inDublin area . We had the best experience.Great Staff Special call out to Omid and Kristina.
My fiance and I are very happy to call Aster home. The apartments are very up to date and well kept. The management team has gone above and beyond to make sure that we are able to fully enjoy our home. If youre reading these reviews in order to make a decision on whether or not to move in, I highly recommend it :) By far my favorite apartment complex Ive lived in and as stated above, an excellent management team!
We have had our stay of 13 months at Aster apartments and unfortunately we have to move out due to personal reasons but I have only good things to say about it.THE LOCATION is best because everything is at walkable distance from there! Bart, Safeway, Sprouts, Target, CVS pharmacy, School.. you name it!MANAGEMENT I think this is most important thing to look for when you hunt for apartment.Gracie! huge shout out to her! Hands down the most professional management person I have ever came across. I remember she personally made sure everything is working in our apartment when we were moving in and that behavior was not just on first day. They have *trolley* to move heavy stuff and its huge plus! They make sure your mails/packages are not misplaced and helps you to find it just in case amazon/ups has misplaced it.Management team has been supportive and kind in Covid-19 pandemic.MAINTENANCEThey have 24x7 maintenance support for emergencies and they never make excuses to provide their services. All maintenance people are very helpful and quick to resolve issues.Big thank you to Omid from team who helped us with water leakage issue in late night.AMENITIESAll amenities indoor and outdoor are in good condition and clean.Small things like GOOGLE NEST THERMOSTAT, automatic car parking lock, security doors really make difference. The garbage room sometimes has boxes placed but I think its responsibility of residents too to throw trash in supposed area and not outside. No noise from neighbors becausehe construction is not flimsy.I am already missing Aster. Thank you for making our stay pleasant :)
Amazing living here! Love the quietness, everything is so close. Love the staff
Just moved here from out state and the move and transition went great thanks for the aster team being so helpful and assisting me in this move from out state thanks for going above and beyond regarding my move . The leasing staff for great and professional and very helpful to me thank you Graciela Martinez and team.I love the place nice and luxury and worth every amount close and convenient to everything you can imagine . I’m glade call Aster my new home .
I would like to start by saying this place is perfect. The location is great and is walking distance from practically everything. Grocery store, restaurants, department stores are all just a few steps away which makes everything so convenient. The amenities are amazing as well. I have taken advantage of all the amenities. The clubhouse is the best I have ever seen. Inside they have multiple TVs, nice couches, fireplace, shuffleboard and etc. I have already thrown multiple parties here. The gym is nice and clean, best of all is the heated pool. Aster as a whole deserves more than 5 stars. Besides the actual property being great, Most importantly the staff here is A1. Zak, Megan and Gracie are extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful !! The customer and maintenance service is incredible! If you need anything or have any questions, you can expect a response right away. Thank you to the staff at Aster for making this property that much better to live in.
Unreliable apartment services ranging from broken microwaves, to intermittent wall sockets to lack of heated water. For the rent being charged, this is unacceptable.
I stayed with a friend that lives at Aster for a short while and liked the property. The interior designs are very moderns and its located close to BART and shopping. Not having a car was no problem. The building is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed my time there.
Moving can be stressful in any situation, moving across country to a new unfamiliar area adds a new level of stress. The team at Aster eased the stress of moving. They have made me feel welcomed and comfortable from the very beginning. 5 stars is not enough!I had one weekend to tour as many apartments as possible and was exhausted by the time I made it to Aster. I had looked all over, from Walnut Creek to Berkeley to Oakland, and all over Dublin. By the time I made it to Aster, without an appointment, everything looked the same, I was frustrated with the process and ready to give up. Gracie met me with a warm smile and welcoming disposition. She understood my situation, took the time to listen and walk through all of the details. Not once did she rush, she had all of the answers to any questions and was more than happy to help. The number one reason I chose Aster was for the customer service and I am so glad I did. Once home, I decided to go with a one bedroom. Zak was happy to walk me through the process and sent pictures and help me find a great location for my dogs and plants. After thinking about it, I realized I would need a bigger place. Without even having to ask, Zak sent pictures of the 2 bedroom and went through the process all over again. Zak makes you feel welcomed and comfortable from the start. He too, greets you with a warm smile and a happy to help attitude. He is so patient and thoughtful; he works hard to ensure you are met with the best options every step of the way.Zak and Gracie have spent so much time and effort to ensure all my needs were met. It’s an understatement to say the team at Aster go above and beyond to help, Gracie even met me after hours to get a dolly to help move some heavier items! That’s not all, when I realized that my plants needed more sunlight, Zak again did whatever it took to help find the right fit and transferred me to a different apartment quickly and seamlessly. He even brought up a cart to help with the move to the apartment I transferred to. The maintenance staff jump right in and made the apartment move in ready days before it was scheduled to be.Zak and Gracie went above and beyond every step of the way and continue to do so. The level of customer service is stellar, the entire team at Aster, from all of the leasing office staff to the maintenance staff have provided one of the best, if not the best customer experience I’ve come across in a very long time. I would give them 10 stars each if I could!
Never ever a leasing agent answer the phone...
Love it! Clean and friendly, really nice. Great location! The staff was always very nice and helpful.
I lived here for one year and in another competitor (Avalon) complex for a year. This apartment is overpriced due to its proximity to BART. The apartments are new, but not necessarily built with the highest quality (see Avalon). The amenities are thinly spread for the size of the complex (the gym is tiny!) and do little more than check boxes on the brochure. The pool is great and is one exception. The leasing staff are kind and friendly, however prepare to get lost in the ether when issues cannot be solved by the team on site (deposit return for example...) - parent company Berkshire seem to absolve themselves of all responsibility. The dog run is the best example of poor quality, being made of large rocks that cant be traversed by most sized dogs and which hide and roll in dog poo... There is no assigned parking and prepare for a long walk to the mail room for most units. There are a lot of these kinds of complexes in the area, and I suggest shopping around. Aster is decent, but I moved out when my lease expired into a bigger unit, closer to the bay, with lower rent...
Beautiful Apartments and pool. Great place to give a party in the pool room! The staff is very professional and friendly.
Guys, best place to live!! You feel like on vacation everyday !!New, Clean, modern style apartments with new appliances ! Nothing you could wish for.Plus big plus and thanks to the office !Great, pleasant, fast working people who keep this building always perfect.Thank you guys so much for making this community so great.
The apartments are undeniably beautiful with top notch appliances. The office staff here is also amazing, quick to respond to any questions or concerns, just down- to- earth, friendly people. The only complaint I have is the noise. I live on the second floor, and Ive heard a child crying above me every night since Ive moved in. I was also unaware, that the commercial space being renovated, is directly below my apartment, so I hear drills every morning. This wouldnt affect most people, but I work second shift sometimes, and its kind of a bummer not being able to sleep during the day, not to mention my last apartment was pretty much sound proof. I am definitely going to have to get used to the noise, but overall, I love the apartments.
The people in charge of leasing sure dont favor diversity. I chose to walk away rather than deal with being cheated and treated like a second class citizen. A great move for me as I now have a fantastic place at Avalon and deal with management that is fair and honest. It is true what they say : The People make the place.
Pretty good place to live but there are a few gripes that really killed it for me:- around 30% of my packages are misplaced. They all come back to me eventually, with the exception of 1 item that was permanently lost.- tenants are not allowed to park on first floor and yet first floor tenants have no access to the stairs. On the multiple times that the elevator was broken, it was very challenging to get to my car (I live in first floor and park in second floor). If both elevators are broken, I actually have no way to get to my car at all.- its impossible to avoid the $80 cleaning fee when you move out.- I scheduled the move out inspection and gave them a 3 hour window and they managed to be late by over 30 minutes.
Great place to live, quiet clean, well organized and the staff has the best customer service attitude.
Amazing place to live in! You cant ask for more if you need all the amenities within the building itself!Nice Gym⭐️Pretty Good Clubhouse⭐️Pool⭐️3 minutes to bart⭐️5-8 minutes to target⭐️Multiple barbeque points for all⭐️All the entry-exits points can be accessed via key only✅Usually a quite place✅Add on, clean place too✅Leasing people are very nice and always ready to help.Kudos to them!✅Issue resolution with the unaccustomed speed. We raised an issue (late night) for trouble in the bathroom, and the quick service was provided within 12 hours.Thank You for the great experience!I would like to mention the name for Gracy(always smiling & friendly to help) ; Deepak(calm) ; the guy who looks into finance department ; Senior sir who looks into apartment maintenance and final inspection - Thank You all for making our aster staying a smoothest ride👍🏻
