I have used Elite Lawn Service since 2017 for mowing, clean-ups, fertilizer, and mulch and overall have been very happy.Good things: Very responsive, very friendly crew and has been the same crew since I started, crew does excellent work and is very conscientious, and if requested they dont use the extremely big stand on mower machines (that is why I switched to them). They communicate regularly through emails with general updates, schedule delays, etc.Not as good things: Their office side of things isnt as organized, but they did send out a letter explaining all of their upcoming 2021 changes to improve on that. When it rains they sometimes try to mow when the grass is wet but I did ask them to not do so. They seem to prefer emails and texts and do get back to me right away if I do that, but if I call they dont get back to me as fast.Overall, they do great work and have a team that seems to really care and they are very reliable.

I hired Elite Lawn Service in 2018 as my neighbors lawn across the street always looked much greener than mine and everyone else. They said it would take up to a full season to make a difference. In 2019 there was some good improvement, but now in spring of 2020 my lawn is greener than neighbors and we joke that I stole his secret. We also use Elite Lawn Service for our weekly mowing, clean ups, and other things. While their prices arent the lowest and they dont come down when I ask, they do very good work and I am very pleased.

Switched from another company that never had a consistent day for my mowing service. Elite shows up at the exact same time every week. If you text or email them, they get back to you in a matter of minutes. I have a very small back yard so I asked the foreman if theyd be okay using a smaller push mower for the back and he said whatever is best for your lawn. Been very pleased since they started in early June.

We have been using Elite Lawn services at our home and business for 8 years. They have always exceeded our expectations and taken great care us. I am proud to say that our home has the GREENEST grass on the block. They also planted some beautiful Arborvitae trees to help us get some privacy in our backyard without putting up a gaudy fence. At our business on Ogden Ave. we have received many compliments about how nice our landscaping looks in comparison with what you are used to seeing on this busy road. The front of our building really pops when you drive by. I highly recommend their services to my neighbors, family, and friends, and anyone who is looking to improve the look of their lawn.

I am an elderly client at age 94 and this company has serviced my lawn since 2001 and they have always gone out of their way for me. They do very good work at good prices and really care. When I told them I was on a fixed income they have not raised my price in 17 years. I was compelled to write this review as they had noticed my car hadnt moved in a few weeks and I wasnt coming out to say hi and offer the crew men water bottles so they called my daughter to ask if I was okay. I was quite taken aback by that gesture. A assured them I was okay but trying to be safe and not come out because of the quarantine.

I hired Elite Lawn Service in 2019 for weekly mowing, get some bushes planted, and mulch. While it took them a little longer to show up for the bushes and mulch (they said it was due to the rain we had in spring) the mowing was always done on schedule and looked good. When they got to the bushes and mulch 5 days after their target date, they did go a good job. I then asked them in Nov to do a fall clean-up for our home and the owner said they could. They never got around to it, but he did say it was due to the snow we had in November and they did let us know without us having to ask. They did offer a discount for us for this spring because they didnt get to the job. Overall, I have been very happy. Id give them 5 stars other than the fall clean-up issue. I am using them again in 2020.

We are putting our home on the market and the Realtor strongly suggested a full lawn clean up. Called the realtors suggestion and 4 days later they got back to me with a price that did not seem to be the special price. I called Elite Lawn and the owner came out, on a Sunday, spent time chatting with us, suggested the clean-up, trenching the beds for a crisp look, and a fertilizer with a higher something or other (I forgot) to green up my lawn quickly. They came 3 days later, did the work, and it looked great. The owner came by to check it and felt it wasnt perfect so they are coming back again to mow it one more time to suck up the leaves they couldnt get the first time as it was wet out when they came. My experience with this company was outstanding and they took some of the stress of selling our home away.

Getting around to spring tasks, one of which was dealing with the lawn, power washing the house, and general spring items. Ive used Elite Lawn Service the last few seasons and the best word to describe them is consistent. The only times theyd not be on schedule would be during extended periods of rain, but they always sent emails letting everyone know and then even asked to reply back if you wanted your lawn mowed when it was wet or not. Anyhow, lost my 2020 contract after telling my wife Id already taken care of this. Woops. Called Elite, the owner or foreman (not sure which) dropped off the 2020 contract at my house 20 minutes later. I thought that was impressive to have it hand delivered. I think these guys are great, and a few of the workers are extremely talkative, probably to the detriment of their profit, but they do seem to have fun and like their jobs.

I needed a new lawn service for 2020 so I found Elite Lawn Service on Google. I actually contacted them as their website said small lawn specialists and my company last year used one of those machines that the worker stands on, and I dont know if he wasnt trained or what, but the mower did leave what look to be permanent wheel marks in my lawn, and parts of the grass are just missing from where it would turn. And my lawn is tiny so I wanted it mowed this year with a small mower. I asked them for a quote, I received that quote later that day and signed up for a spring clean up and weekly mowing. We came home yesterday and the clean up was done and looked fantastic.

We just moved into the area in Clarendon Hills and felt we needed some spring lawn work done. We came from Arizona where our lawn was basically decorative rocks and we have no idea about grass, and save the comments on why we moved to Illinois... Elite Lawn Service came out and I let them know I really had no idea if my lawn looked great or if everyone was making fun of it, and me. This is an area where every lawn seems to look perfect too and we dont want to be that house. At any rate, they gave me a quote for only what I needed, the price was right in line with the other bids, but they were uber responsive. While they havent done all the work yet due to the rain, what theyve done thus far looks great and they let me know when theyll be back and why they had to stop. So far Im very impressed.

Ive had a lot of lawn care disappointments in the past - not showing up, poor work, not returning emails, etc. I hired Elite Lawn Service in Sept 2019. The office person said they were booked solid due to a staffing issue, but because we were down the street from one of their current customers who recommended I call, they started service. I have been very pleased thus far with their crews workmanship and their responsiveness. I did have an issue when they forgot to mow a spot that doesnt look like it would be my property, but they came back that same day to correct it and have been doing it ever since. And I am writing this review now as I just had my fall clean-up done and it looks amazing.

Elite Lawn Service has been a great landscaping company for us. They are reasonable with their pricing and Tim is a great communicator. He has been very diligent about letting his clients know about weather related delays and scheduling through email. He returns phone calls promptly and his team of landscapers are second to none. Our property looks the best it has looked in years. *Edit on 11-2-20. The owner of this company is not professional. He promised things to get me to sign up and then he switched his stance. For example he claimed that his team only mowed with push mowers. That is false. He used the big heavy ones and ruined a portion of my lawn. When I first contacted him i made a point to discuss that in the very hot months I will want to drop to mowing every other week. He said no problem and no additional charge. Well when it came to July and i asked him to come every other week and raise the mowing height he refused to do it without a upcharge. He wanted $15 more a week plus a special fee for hauling away grass if it grows to much. It was not growing in the hot months and thats why I needed him to come every other week and raise the mowing height so it could grow. He said there would be no upcharge in the beginning. He even told me to find another service when I was discussing dropping to every other week. So he forced me to continue using him until the end of the season as i have no mower and it was impossible to find someone new in the middle of the season. So now its the end of the season and i have not seen anyone here in almost 3 weeks. Hes been out to my house 2 times in October and he is not communicating back to me. Ive been asking about the fall clean up and what that entails, and no one responds to the emails. I asked if they are done for the season and no one responds now. His crew does a decent job but be warned. You will not get that extra customer service or that great customer experience from this guy. The owner should not be dealing with people horrible customer service skills.

My husband is at a point where he can no longer take care of our lawn and my sons live too far to ask them. I called a few referrals and got either no response or one company had an all or nothing program. I found Elite Lawn Service just this March, they delivered a quote the same day and while it wasn’t the cheapest, I felt the best about them. I had them do a clean up, cut back some hydrangea, edge my beds, and then for extra they cleaned out garbage behind my shed. They did an excellent job and the young man who was in charge was extremely kind.

So this review isnt for me actually, its for my mothers home in Hinsdale as I hired them to take care of the lawn. This company has been great in working with her property. She comes out (slowly) to talk to them and while I know they must be busy, the foreman (Gonzo?) always makes it a point to chat with her and then makes sure she makes it back inside the house safely. The previous company we had last year wouldnt ever talk to her at all. Their workmanship has been great, weve had no issues (other than summer when they had a staffing issue but let us know), and overall theyre just really nice people.

We had just moved into a home in Clarendon Hills and the lawn was in terrible shape. I called Elite Lawn and the owner came out that evening to meet with me. Provided a written quote right there and then they came within a few days and did the clean up work, trimmed all the overgrown bushes, added fresh mulch and cleaned out the beds. Their prices for 2020 went up a little bit, I asked why, and the owner said they are downsizing and keeping the company smaller. I referred them last year to 2 of our neighbors who also signed up, I reminded them of that and the owner then offered me a discount since there are 3 houses in a row.

I started looking for a new lawn service for 2020 due to numerous issues in the past season with old company always being behind schedule from rain or weather or other reasons. When I emailed in my quote request, the owner got back to me right away and asked why I was I was switching companies to make sure he understood my needs. I told him last years company was always behind schedule. He then actually told me that they were also behind schedule now and then from constant rains in May, an employee issue in summer, and then snow in November and that if I was happy with that service otherwise, that maybe it wasnt fair to cancel them just for that since nobody can control the weather. I was actually quite taken aback by the honesty. I then reached out to my old company just to ask if they had a plan for when they were behind, and of course they never got back to me. So, I am now an Elite Lawn Service customer and they already did my spring clean-up and shovel edged my beds and it all looks great.

We needed some spring clean-up work done asap in March 2020 as a party got moved to my house last minute. Elite Lawn came up on a google search, I contacted them via email and the owner responded immediately. I asked about some of the 1 star reviews and he explained some customers that had prepaid in 2019 and then cancelled during spring when it rained every day expected a full refund even though their mulch and spring clean-up work had been completed so he couldnt refund that portion as the work had been done. Made sense to me. As for my job, he then explained his crews hadnt started yet for 2020 and that the trucks were still in for service, but he could figure something out if we really needed it done. We did. So did he. He showed up personally with two of his staff in a smaller borrowed truck and they did an excellent job for us.

Ive been with Elite Lawn Service for 15 years. Like all small businesses, they have issues they deal with and this year was one of them. After some hiccups with our service which was very unusual based on years past, I spoke with the owner personally who explained their loss of a key employee due to illness and how that employee drove an entire crew causing them some staffing issues, however they then communicated all this and kept all the customers informed of their plans to get back on track. Overall, its hard to find a company that does actually care, treats their employees well where it shows, and overall does an excellent job even when the weather is most uncooperative. I posted this review as I was online already posting for a restaurant we went to and saw some negative reviews and felt they were undeserving based on the experience Ive had with this company and the issues they dealt with in the 2019 season. All of which have been resolved and we have been very satisfied.

Elite Lawn Service in Downers Grove, IL is anything but elite. I arranged to have them cut my lawn this year … but then they never showed up. They did not respond to my voice-mails, emails or text messages; they just left me hanging without my lawn cut … after they had committed to come weekly.

DO NOT use this company. We pre-paid for weekly lawn mowing and a fall clean up. They mowed our lawn twice, then cancelled our service. They are now refusing to refund our $1100 payment. The owner is not responsive to calls, texts, or emails.

Had Elite Lawn Service out to plant 52 Abrovite trees along my property. Within one month I started to see serious issue with the bushes (turning brown/Yellow really fast), I contacted Elite and was told everything would be fine. They said just continue to water them and they will be okay. As the season has gone on they have only gotton worse, I hired a 3rd party service to help fertilize and debug any issue around the trees incase that was the issue. This has not worked and the trees are dying. I was told it was for sure how Elite Lawn planted the the bushes. I have reached out to Elite mutiple times since early June and have not received any response.Advice,Just save the headache and use somebody else who will do the job correct the first time.***UPDATE*** I was just contacted by Elite and was told the following word for word You chose to continuously use your own nursery materials, so we were unable to have anything to do with the selection, delivery, and warrantyThis is 100 percent false as I have an invoice and messages that they purchased the Abrovites from the Hinsdale Nursery Supplier
