Would definitely go back! Easy access to the private beach. Wonderful accommodations. Placed in the heart of Destin. Highly recommend.

We love our room view. Nice and close to the pool. The room is excellent.

Is it for the first two days they had no change no changing the change machine and then our air conditioner without for 2 days but they did bring us a portable air conditioner so all in all they did have nice service except for they were kind of pushy about us leaving when we were supposed to leave but thats because they already had it rented out so I would stay there again.

On Thursday March 25th I and my 4 girlfriends arrived to Destin for for our vacation...well we accidentally pulled into the silver dunes, and we were supposed to turn into Sundestin resort which was the next turn in up from silver dunes...we pull in and turn around after we figured that we were at the wrong place...we go to leave and ask the security guard how to get out of there and he came running out of his guard shack yelling at us using the GD word and continued to yell and came out at us...we took off, and got to the right resort we were supposed to go at, with this being said, I hope whoever reads this has a better experience with their stay here at silver dunes!!!! And to the security officer working on the March 25th,,,, I hope you lose your job and everything you have, .... your the real reason people have a bad opinion of any police type figure!!!!!

Very clean and very curtious!!

The condo had ants in the kitchen. We called when We discovered them and got the answering service. They were supposed to have someone get in touch us...never got a call or anything. We bought our own ant spray. The new management of the Silver Dunes condos are extremely RUDE. I was informed by management (with a very nasty attitude) that we were supposed to have been out of the condo at 9:00 instead of 10:00. When I went back through what I had been given, I could not find 9:00 anywhere, just 10:00. I did not appreciate the way I was talked to by the management representative. The beach service is no longer a reason to go to Silver Dunes. It is now an impersonal service that does not hold the experience we used to have under the old beach service. The man in charge of the beach chair services is one of the most discourteous individuals I have ever met and does not value his customers whatsoever. After 20 years of coming here for the beach experience, it’s adios Silver Dunes. I can get nicer condos for the same impersonal beach experience. Basically spend your money elsewhere for a nicer condo!

Great family oriented condo.

This is a great spot with good restaurants right across the street and other fun family places. Chick-fil-A and Pizza Hut right across the street, as well as a couple others. There is a water park and a go kart place a block or 2 away. It has its own private beach on the property. Cost about $30 to rent 2 chairs and umbrella. There is a pool on the property as well. Right next door, there is a hotel that has a bar/restaurant. Everything is worth 5 stars. The only reason I gave 4 stars overall is because the rooms are a little older style. Beds, sofas, curtains, pictures, kitchen, tables, and other things seem maybe from the 90s or even 80s. But for the price I guess it’s understandable. Would probably come back to these condos. Has security parking and a gate code. About a 5-10 minute drive from the main Destin boardwalks and attractions. There was an issue with the fridge, and they came to fix it within a couple hours.

Great and beautiful place everything clean great location staff and security service was a nice and friendly, the manager owner they respond very quickly. I highly recommend this place👍👍I can’t wait for come back for ours next vacations👍👍

Comfortable, clean, quiet family oriented place for vacations.

For 30+ years we stayed at Silver Dunes. Every June you knew the Miller, Hollis, and Stogner families were coming for a week of relaxation and family time. 2019, however, would be the last time we would go. We didn’t mind the yearly price increases all that much, even though the price kept rising and nothing really got any better. We just paid it and forgot about it. We didn’t mind the lack of amenities compared to other places in town because “we’re here for the beach. We don’t need anything else.” No, it’s the extremely poor attitude of the staff, their brazen attempts to lie, and their indifference to paying customers that sounded the alarm to never return. The first day, the A/C went out. Not a great start, but “put in a call to maintenance and we’ll be alright”. No maintenance came. For three days we stayed in a condo with no working A/C, because the staff said they had sent someone and were told there was nothing wrong. Finally, my mom had had enough and posted to a “Silver Dunes Condos Owners” Facebook group about the situation, and the owner said THEY would have it resolved. I ran into a maintenance man and asked him to come by. He’d never been told there was a problem by the staff, came in and fixed it right up. When we told the staff it was finally fixed, the receptionist was snotty and rude. “Well WE did what WE were supposed to!” She snarked, indignantly. I asked her how she thought it was reasonable to go 3 days without A/C......in Destin......in the middle of June. “Well, you’re at the beach, why are you in the condo anyway?” She argued. “Ok, looks like we’re done here” I sighed. She asked us where our check was for next year’s rental (at an increase of a few hundred dollars, to boot). I replied that we wouldn’t be coming back. I can deal with an A/C unit not working. I won’t deal with rude staff. When I replied that we weren’t EVER coming back, she scoffed as if I had offended her mother. “Well, where are you going to stay then? No one offers what we do” she asked. “Anywhere but here” I replied, and walked out the door, never to return.

Air conditioning did not cool, entrance gate and WiFi doesn’t work half the time and kitchens are not well stocked with basics like a can opener or cookie sheet

Nice! Kid friendly. Beautiful view! Easy walk to beach. Nice pool. Love George at the beach. Convenient to lots of stuff.

Enjoyed my stay! Its a little older but very clean and so reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again. Only complaint is they dont allow you to play music on the beach. They expect you to wear headphones which is crazy.

I would stay here again for a fair price. Our condo was decent, with most of the furniture being comfortable. Very easy beach access. Convenient location and good maintenance. Cant give 5 stars in comparison to some other places we have stayed in for similar $$$ and had things like beach toys, marble counters, private jacuzzi, ice maker and filtered water in the fridge, etc. Im not saying negatives about Silver Dunes, just saying that in comparison to places we have rented in Los Angeles, Clearwater FL, The keys, Blue Ridge, and even Vail Colorado, we got a little more for the money. At $200 a night, you CANNOT go wrong with Silver Dunes. At $300 a night, its good and you should stay here. Over $300, I would shop around.

Silver Dunes is a throwback to simpler times on the gulf coast. One of the few low rise places still on the Destin shore, you never have to fight for a place on the beach. No one is lined up three deep to view the ocean. The beach is far less packed and the atmosphere is much more family friendly than other locations on that stretch.

Kids had a wonderful time. The rooms were quiet and well furnished. Cant wait to come back.

Initially I gave this a 1 star review but after the response from the owners, to be fair I had to reconsider with a 3 star. When we got here there was trash on the floor. The toilets wouldn’t flush. They didn’t have enough tow els and no wash cloths at all. The glass door to the balcony is broken. The shower head in the first bathroom broke and response time was very slow. There is mold in the toilets and on the shower curtains. The owner of the unit we Are in doesn’t take care of basic maintenance, but the facilities are very nice and the private beach is great. Not sure how to check the ratings of the specific owners before you come but I would look into it.

Really good pricing for a condominium room. Walking distance from the beach and a huge variety of restaurants all in walking distance. Gate guards were friendly and helped with what they could.

I worked for them thru a company i no longer work for this past summer. The people i worked with were very nice and Ms pat and connie and all of laundry were very professional. They are all about taking care of their guests and making sure the rooms are in excellent condition.

Older condos in great shape. Gorgeous grounds! A hidden gem right in the middle of it all!

Ok place to stay. Nice pool and not to far to walk to the beach. Beds are nice,pillows are awful though. All in all I wouldnt stay here again.

Have tried to get in touch with the manager for 4 days! Will never book here again! Beware hard to get in touch with.

After coming here for over 25 years, I was so disappointed with poor condition of condo, reduced amenities and price increase.BUT, what has remained the most wonderful experience is GEORGEs beach services!!!

Book unit 206A.One word, amazing! SilverDunes is the PERFECT place for families! The beach is close with great views. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. George can help you with all of your beach service needs. We have been coming here for over 30 years. We have raised our children here in this safe, family friendly atmosphere. Chick Fil A is located across the street with a stop light pedestrian walkway. When you want the perfect beach vacation, look no further than SilverDunes!!!
