So I went in for a dip powder and my result the next day my nails become to crack in the inside of the nail and chipped way to easy at the ends no what’s so ever professional the lady who did my nails she didn’t ask what shaped I even wanted she kept being on her phone back and forth it honestly looked like she had trouble doing the dip. So I called and asked if they can do them Saturday with no charge since the person who did them didn’t do them correctly. The lady I spoke to on the phone said come in next day when I specifically said I can only do it on the weekends due to work. She mentioned her nails techs knows what there doing but obviously not if I had a bad experience . lady’s don’t waste ur money here you won’t get your refund nor a great experience!

Im giving them ONE star because my full set is amazing. Thank you Tony. Now moving on to why this was the worst service I have ever received. I received by far the worst pedicure of my life. Done by Tracy. She literally was moving so fast like it was a race against Time. A lady next to me was also getting a pedicure. She started at least 10-15 minutes before me and her pedicure wasnt complete until about 15 minutes after I was done. So somehow she got a thorough relaxing pedicure while I got the express 20 minute pedicure that cost me almost 60 bucks. Doesnt make sense I know. I made it very clear to her (Tracy) several times do NOT shorten my nails && do not cut them, very very lightly file them down just to get rid of sharp edges. She completely filed down my big toe. When I pointed it out to her she tried to lie and say that it was already short. As if I dont know what my toes looked like when I walked in. Then she tried to sell me $5 upcharge to get an overlay to make it point again!!!. Which of course I was not about to go for. The service itself was absolutely terrible. It wasnt relaxing it was rushed she was rough, her massage literally hurt my shins. She did a poor job of removing the calluses off of my feet. When she put the paraffin wax bag over my feet, she literally removed it one minute later before the wax even cooled which therefore gets no benefits. She continuously just kept pouring alcohol on my toes like she was trying to erase something. She kept adjusting my chair to accommodate her even though I have very long legs and I was able to have them in the proper position she just would grab the remote and adjust it without saying anything. As far as nails go I might return. Even though they nickel and dime you for everything. They tried to charge me for three different types of nail designs which brought my nails to about $150 which is outrageously ridiculous. As far as a pedicure goes I would definitely drive back to cedar Hill to where I know Im in good hands. Overall. Proceed with caution

I came to grand nail bar on 8/8. All I got was a basic manicure with gel polish! $35 dollars! The polish isn’t even applied the right way, she cut my nails way up short, the lady who I believe her name was Krissy was super rude and ruff! She keep pulling my arm so hard to the point where my elbow was hurting really bad. I will now be letting her do my nails ever again. That was highly inappropriate

I honestly love it!! It’s big and with covid they still have enough space for everyone. I suggest going really early if you want to not have so many people in one place. But honestly such a beautiful place!!

I Sat & Waited To Be Acknowledged For 5 Minutes, No One Acknowledged Me .The Phone Rung And One Of The Employees Got Up To Answer The Phone but I Still Wasn’t Acknowledged. I Kept Trying To Get Someone’s Attention. After Like 10-15 Minutes A Employee Tell Me We Have To Wear A Mask And I Have To Pay A Dollar For Them Or I Had To Leave. I Had To Explain To Her That I Had Been Waiting For Service or Acknowledgement For The Longest. She Didn’t Care To Help Or Fix The Problem So I Left. DO NOT GO HERE !

I took my mother in law on Thursday afternoon for a gel manicure. We were quickly seated despite the salon being full but unfortunately Her whole service was rushed & it shows. The water was cold as they took a while to put her hands in and all her gel nail cracked/chipped within 3 days. Today Monday all her GEL polish is off. Very expensive for the quality and service.

My young daughter nails looked like she painted them herself. My dipped nails broke in 5 days! Been getting dipped nails since dip came out. Lady put the wrong color on. I asked for a burnt orange, I got a hot red. Hands looked horrible because the bag broke or melted (maybe from being so hot) that had the acrylic in it (to soak off my nails) so I tried to tell the lady that all the acrylic is in the bowl not the bag and all of the residue from the soaking was stuck on my hand like I was playing in glue. She told me to wash my hands, which made them so stiff because the stuff wouldnt come off. When I left the acrylic/paste was still all over my hands. I told the lady they needed to soak more, she didnt listen and pretty much filed my real nails down instead if letting them soak which is why they were so brittle and broke so easily. Gave them 3 tries. That was the last straw.

This was not a good nail shop at all. I had got gel polish on my toes and the lady was in a bad mood doing them. She didn’t even try to work my feet or clean them the way they usually do at other salons and I still paid more for this service. I don’t recommend this place for any kind of services. Any other nail shop is better.

I gotten my nails done friday, service was ok but i was over charged for extra long nails when in fact my nails are medium length not long at all. i paid $118 for my nail to break 2 days later.

First time WORST experience everrrr! Can’t apply simple gel coat or acrylic to toe and RUDE when you dislike the service.I went for a mani gel on natural nail so why did my nails look fake and bulky I ask the manager if I could get someone to do them over or come back she rudely filed the gel off and told me I should go somewhere else. The woman who did my feet tried me didn’t do a full service worth none tryna charge $58 like NO MA’AM try again!! Do not recommend coming here unless you know who to go to! They got 1 star because i was able to walk in and sit down. I wish I woulda got the 2 ladies names who did me and my daughter pedi but they were horrible. My daughter left in pain. I don’t know if she had a ingrown or what. They didn’t bother to even check for them. It’s clear if you doing proper routine you could see that clean up was needed.

I had a terrible experience with customer service my 3rd visit. No more! No need to voice your concern to the manager or owner because he literally turned and walked away as if heP did not understand me. I will NEVER give them my time or money again. Very disappointed that my treat to me of a upgraded pedicure for $49 for Milk and Honey Deluxe Spa Pedicure...For no milk and no honey at all...Plain water... no blue shake... nada. Bless you, but I left upset and very disappointed. They cared less but only after I quietly insisted they discount my bill was I given $16 bucks off my $85 service. Smh. I took the photos before I paid $67. The red arrow is the dip color I requested. I even asked when my nail person was on hand one if there was a problem with the color. Went and the gentleman who did my nails did a terrible job. They were supposed to do a manicure in my 9 yo and they gave her a full set of nails AND sticker designs that was an additional $15 without asking me!Ashley is really good though

If you can find somewhere else to get your nails done.... Do Just That!!! I was not pleased with my gel manicure; it looked like a 10 year old did it, and my pedicure was not much better. I went last week to get a fill and and my nails are already falling off. the lady reshaped my nails and my feet they dug in the nail to long until my toe was hurting if i could give this place a negative rating i would dont go here It looks nice on the outside but its terrible i will not be back.

Well every time I come here it seems as though I am being charged more for my services and I always get the same thing . I asked for a glow in the dark set on my toes that I always come to get and its usually 70. Today its 87 dollars even with the 20%discount. Idk but watch out for the price gouging .

First time was very nervous. It’s perfect. I showed them a picture told him what to change and it’s perfectly executed. They explained everything to me. Broken English yes but if you know how to listen and word your questions right you will get great services. They were also very kind to my daughters who’s 3 and was everywhere lol.

I am writing this review due to such an unprofessional experience I came into the nail shop and about 15 minutes later two other women came after me the lady asked what I wanted and I explained a full set, 30 minutes later the young man asked who was first and of course there is a sign in sheet but he didn’t look at it,the ladies told him I was and he took me over to have a seat here I am thinking I’m about to get my nails done just for him to get one of the other ladies and start on her nails and when I asked about it he just blew me off completely, very upsetting no one even cares nobody to even complain to about this so I’m just writing this review

My $41 pedicure is hideous. I’m embarrassed to even wear my toes out. I’m so sad. I complained so another person came so it wasn’t any point in asking AGAIN. Definitely beyond repairing.

This place is highly unprofessional.I went here for the first time to get a fill.I asked the man how much would it cost for a fill he told me it would cost $40. I sat down he started drilling off the acrylic so I asked him again how much would I be paying he said $50 because it’s acrylic powder. Also he was being very rough while doing my nails and not taking his time putting the acrylic on my nails. After he finished he charged me $60 for my nails and then tipped himself $10 so it came out to be $70. After a week three nails broke leaving my fingernails bleeding in pain! I will not be coming back!

We waited for for 4 hours and the service was terrible. Would not recommend.

My acrylic nails only lasted a good week after coming here. A guy named Andrew did my nails. He did a good job and they were pretty but he didnt take his time . Seems like he was in a hurry or something. I dont know the ladys name who did my feet but altogether I paid 105 for a mediocre job. Will not be coming back. This isnt the first time that they messed up my nails.

Up until last month, I used to come to this salon FAITHFULLY and always requested Tina. She left out of the blue, so I went with a male tech, which I had no problem with.. my nails were fine the first time, but my fill was absolutely horrific. He did not use as much care as I was hoping for, and it showed. My nails were bulky and lopsided, and he cut my cuticles more than once with the drill. I figured it was an off day and intended to go back to get another set. As I soaked off my nails, I noticed that my middle finger had mold or fungus in the middle of the nail. Ive gotten my nails done plenty of times at this salon and this was the first time this has ever happened. TOTALLY unacceptable.

Employees don’t listen to customer requests and several employees don’t understand English so there is a language barrier. My nails were long and one of the employees just started cutting them off. I was mad because it had taken so long for me to grow my nails. Employees have an attitude problem. I prefer to drive farther up north to get better customer service!! I definitely do not recommend this nail salon!

This nail shop is at less to say its interesting. The first time I went I loved my nails however I was distracted from talking to my family by a fight from 2 of the workers however that didnt stop me from coming a week later when 2 of my nails was broke I am 15 years old so Im not a fan of complaining however when I went I had the need to believe my nail tech was drunk he had a huge attitude with doing my 2 nails he only wanted to fix 1 but I was paying for 2.when he started he didnt prep my nails he just tried to rush me out but my nails wasnt even so I told him when I told him he wanted to catch an attitude and cut my nail short so I told him Im just going to call my mom cuz I might b wrong at the same time I was on the phone he started to talk about me as he then he started to chop my nails the manger was nice however he wasnt disciplined I felt as if I deserved better that was my second time going however it was my last.

I’m never going back here again! I called and asked how much it would be to get a fill on powder nails and the lady told me $35... why did I end up paying $47!!!? I paid $35 for the same set WITH a design in Houston. Also, because they card machine did something crazy I had to pay an EXTRA $10 when it wasn’t even my fault.

I came on Presidents Day. Apparently, their best techs took the day off. My mistake. I forgot it was a holiday.The tech (Tracy) working on my pedicure didnt understand English very well. I told her that I had gel on my toes, but wanted regular polish. Just to give her a heads up. While another technician was working on my hands, she got up and got the gel equivalent. All of a sudden, I realized that she had my feet under the UV light. When I brought it to her attention, she said: But, this is better. I didnt ask for that. The gel is a $12 upcharge. She conceded on charging me $5 for it. But, first impressions last. Wont be here again.

At 9am, I was the first customer to arrive and was greeted by a pleasant black nail technician whose apron read, “I Love Nails.” Upon requesting a gel manicure, she informed one of the oriental nail technicians in the shop, but the lady quickly responded “I don’t do that.” The pleasant black nail technician was just as shocked as I was. She quickly apologized, and attempted to ask a different oriental nail technician, but she declined to service me too. Because the black nail technician had a customer, I had no choice but to leave. Clearly, I was stereotyped by the oriental nail technicians, which is unfortunate considering the All America city of DeSoto is predominantly Black/African American. I will not return to Grand Nails Bar, and I do not recommend this nail salon to anyone.

Just went in and took my nieces to get their nails as well as mine. First off it’s filthy in there. Second they don’t understand English or maybe they just don’t want to work. I asked for dip powder and they were trying to give me full set. I had to tell them over and over and finally ask for a new tech. Overall they expected a tip but I will not tip bad service. My nails are super short because they cut my real nails off. Will never go there again. Don’t waste your time either.

Worst experience of my life! I went there on labor day and was excited that they were open. I had broke a nail and needed it fixed. A lady started on my nail and she was done within 10 minutes. I looked at my nail and the shape was horrible. I told the manager I was very dissatisfied, she proceeds to tell me thats what you wanted she fix for you. I reiterated that the shape was horrible and that she filed my nails uneven. This caused a confrontation between the manager and I and a smaller gentleman came and sat down and started drilling the acrylic off my nails. He drilled my nails until you could see the flesh on my nail. Long story short I will never go back to this rude/unprofessional place.

I always have a good experience when I come here to get my nails done. I havent tried any of their services yet but I have every intention of trying a pedicure and a facial. I have a very busy schedule and I am usually in and out of there in 30-45 minutes including the time to soak off the old nail. I am delighted with their service and Mon-Wed it is 20% off.

The wait time is long, only for them to tell you that they cant service you. Their gel polish chips and their seats are broken and dirty. When asked why they couldnt tell us they didnt have anyone to do a polish change upfront instead of having me wait so long, the lady just shrugged her shoulders as if she didnt care

I literally sat scrubbing and taking my own nails off and I was still charged for the service. Then my nails are uneven and too thick. I wanted my nails to look natural but you can clearly see my real nails underneath the fake nails. It just looks like a sloppy job, Im literally so embarrassed .

Went there today and was not pleased... I showed a pic of ombré nails and how I wanted my nails and got something totally different . For me to spend $57 and not see that it wasn’t that much is very disappointing. I will not return.

Service was good nails are good but they need to listen to what we want I specifically asked for soak off and overlay on my natural nails instead he did what he wanted and ended up brakes 6 of my nails and the ones he didn’t brake didn’t even match the ones he had to add a tip too definitely won’t be coming back

This shop is a No for me, they are not friendly nor do they care. An older woman did my pedicure and was not happy that I didn’t choose the pedicure she wanted me to get she went to get warm towels that she brought back wet and dripping water and was not warm. Then Tony did my nails and I wanted my cuticles cleaned up I now have about 5-6 cuts and had to come home and use peroxide hoping fungus doesn’t set in. The nails are poor quality after I looked at them closer today. And to add to it all I was looking around and the shop is filthy. So I for sure will never go there again.

Chairs, equipment & place is dirty like never cleaned. Thought I got good gel mani til I saw it in daylight. Bubble on 1 nail, polish on my skin around a couple of nails, etc. Price same as better quality salons. Not busy on a Saturday should have been tipoff.

Service and equality not worth it. I tried to explain the shape and type of nails I wanted; he cut me short with “yea yea I know” me... got it wrong. I even had to show him the lady across from me; they still were not what I wanted. The shaping is not consistent. He seemed so rushed to get to done and quickly to the next person even though they weren’t busy. Then he acted like he couldn’t just touch up my cuticles even though I told him I’d pay an extra charge. He acted as if I had to get a whole manicure service on top of my full set just because i asked about my cuticles being cleaned up. Then when it was done... he didn’t brush off the powder residue on my hands and arms. So basically he poured oil over my hands and arms and gave me the griddiest 30 second hand massage. I gets that’s what you get here paying an extra 15 for a “manicure” when all you wanted was your cuticles trimmed.The pedicure guy gave half effort on the massage (so what’s the point in paying for the top quality pedicure); and didn’t even remember to put the disposable flip flops on me.And neither one of them asked if they could get me something to drink, water, nothing.The girls seem to be a little more mindful... so if you go here, don’t get the guys. They suck.

Changed the price last minute AFTER nails were done. no way these should have been $65. They literally charge me extra $10 for the SHAPE! first off they were plain coffin, and also is that not apart of the whole thing?? My nail Tech Anna is awesome! She’s done my nails for several years, not just at this location but at another location for at least 5 years. Once I sit in her chair, I never have to say another word. I’m a picky person, so trust me she’s the BEST! I finally found her after 2 years of dealing with DeSoto Nail Bar on Parkerville & Hampton (the worst)! I am now a very happy customer.

I can here with my mom and sister and a man did my nails. And when he was done with my nails he left a lot of lent on them and I had to keep going back.they are also very slow.

I have gone a couple times and all have been well except this last time. Lady was super Rude, wanted to do my nails the way she wanted not what I was asking for and eventually brought my nails to short. After she was done she just waited standing up demanding a tip. I have worked in customer service for a while and that is probably about the worst anyone can do. I gave her one just because she must have been that desperate. I didn’t catch her name, she’s skinny, a silver necklace with a pearl and a gold ring with a green diamond on the right hand.
