A one time customer. When I attempted to make a second appointment today the gentleman that was working told me that after his next appointment he was leaving for the day at 2:26 p.m. Google says its they open until 6:00 p.m. instead of making appointment I was told to try across the street and see if I would have any luck getting in today.

I had already planned to have my hair cut once I had free time. So, last weekend, I went to this barbershop. The barber was very cordial and suggested what was the best haircut for me. I trusted his expertise, and I am so happy with the result. He was truly an experienced man. I love the cut done to my hair. Thank you so much!

I walked into one of stan’s shops on 16th and champa, they were closing up but stan was there to get my cut done. he gave me a ride in his truck to another one of his shops in independent plaza. cleaned me up, showed me some jazz music and sent me on my way happy. sitting in a 1920s chair i felt super comfortable in this barber shop which never happens as a queer person.

Stan, the owner, was such a joy to interact with during our visit for my boyfriends hair cut and beard shave/trim. Stan does excellent work and is a great value for the money spent. We can assure you that if were ever in Denver again, we will be making a special stop to visit Stan, and get another hair cut. Thanks again, Stan! May you have a prosperous year despite COVID. This place is exactly what i was looking for.Great staff, very friendly and place is clean.Russ cut my hair to perfection and gave me a real clean look.Getting compliments already!! The staff here are absolutely amazing! Russell, who cut my hair, was very attentive to my needs as a blind person. He explained to me what he was about to do before he did it, and was very good about giving me clear directions for what he wanted me to do while he was cutting my hair. I cant say enough good things about the people that work at stands downtown barbers! If youve never gotten your haircut here, you really should.

I went to Stans for a hair cut and beard trim. The service was exceptional. I feel like a new man!

So I’m actually leaving a review for Marcos at the Champa location. I normally see Gina at Stan’s Champa but when she isn’t working and I need to get in I have to say that no matter who I see at Stan’s I always get an amazing fade and great service. Marcos did an incredible job and not once did I feel unsafe or like proper COVID protocols weren’t followed. Thank you again Stan’s for meeting and exceeding my expectations. I’ll be a client for life.

Great place, smooth jazz, and little freebies for clients. Will go back for another great cut. Only downside was barber over booked and caused me and the next guy to wait 5ish minutes after our scheduled appointment.

Gotta say, I rushed out of work to wherever was open. They were able to work me in with Russ and he did great. Give him time to do what he does and he will make it perfect! Also, hes good with a straight razor. Actually good, not where youre a little red. Hands down, the smoothest shave you have had. Ill be coming back to him for just about every cut.

I got caught in bad traffic and was super late. My friend and i were supposed to be the last appointments of the day before close. Stan and one of his employees came back at 7pm, an hour after close and opened the shop just for us. Despite website claims, walk-ins are not really super welcome here, in my experience. No one greeted me when I walked in and then once I did get someone’s attention, they actually scoffed/laughed when I asked if they had availability. I guess they were full and exclusive, but I don’t have much patience for rudeness and pretense. So I actually just went down the street to Floyd’s and they greeted me with a smile and got me right in!

I was a walk-in towards closing time on a Monday, looking to get a haircut after getting into town. The staff was very accommodating and set me up with great haircut at a reasonable price! Very appreciated after a long day of traveling.

From Ny, I had my beard trimmed by one of there new employees. I forget his name, but hes an older gentleman. Anyway, he took his time to get my beard looking the best I have ever seen. Im used to here in NY, where they have you in and out in 10 mins and you never feel like your getting the best trim.

Stans is excellent! Even at their busiest times of the day, theyll take it slow and focus on what YOU want rather than focus on what will get you out of the chair and the next customer in.

Called them on a Sunday, asked if there was time for a quick chop, they were positive. I arrived 10 minutes later to find myself in front of closed doors.

Stan is awesome. Ive had three cuts at Stans Downtown II and they have all been good. I even got catcalled at 4am this morning fresh out of bed so you know hes doing something right! In all seriousness the staff is friendly and accommodating. The shop provides a relaxing atmosphere with views of downtown Denver and the clocktower at 16th & Arapahoe.
