I came in for oil change. I knew I had not put many miles since my last change. I was told the oil is clean and does not need changing yet.Im impressed with the honesty and the place in general. Nicest waiting area I have ever seen in auto shop.I will be back.

I went there to replace a water outlet because it broke, and drained all of my coolant out, so I couldnt go far. It was the closest I to my house. I always look up the part I need so I can pretty much know what price range to expect. I expected somewhere around $200 to $250 labor and all. They charged me $455.79 to replace a plastic $35 to $80 part. I understand, because I work on cars too, that they have to replace coolant and all that, but $455.79 is too extreme for the repair done. Thats more than half what it cost me to replace a fuel pump at a dealership. I looked at the invoice, and saw they charged me $129 dollars for the replacement part I needed. You can easily find that part number( GM 25193922) for $35 to $80 or so.They appear, so far, to do good quality work, BUT....This place is a gouger, so keep this in mind when you go. I should have just went to the dealership if I knew I would pay that much.

Better than we could have hoped to find, we will not be going anywhere else. Tapps treats your vehicle like their own and treats you like family. My Jeep could not be in more capable and caring hands, she has 150k on her and drives like new after they dug deep and found the drive-chain issue, fixed any additional issues and worked with me the entire time regarding next steps and what we could expect in her future. I have a tailored plan for her long-term care and pictures to help explain what is going on with her. The mechanic himself came out to explain what they found and what was going on. We are pro-active with our cars and have worked with many mechanics as we move often. Of those we have encountered, they are the most knowledgeable, honest, thorough and compassionate. Just drove our Jeep 5 hours south- smooth as silk on the freeway- and climbed up a rocky mountain road without concern. I took my car to three different mechanics trying to resolve an issue where the cars idle would drop RPM significantly while sitting at a stop sign/light with the car in drive. Also was having intermittent issues with my car starting properly. Ultimately my battery completely died while I was driving back from a trip and had absolutely zero power once I parked.I dropped my car off without an appointment and was given a ride home since I was within 5 miles. They got to my car the following day and to my absolute surprise and appreciation they figured out the issue was just a bad wire connecting my battery. Because the wire was faulty it was causing my car to get improper voltages and so it was causing all sorts of bizarre problems. It was a $110 solution to a litany of very frustrating issues. I will 100% be returning to this shop for all of my future needs.

My family and I were traveling across country in an RV when our air-conditioner stopped working. My in-laws referred us to Tapps Garage and they kindly fit us into their packed schedule. Their service is top-notch and they refilled our air-conditioner freon and checked for leaks in the system. Traveling in 95-100 degree temperature is difficult however it was a lot easier with the help of Olin White and Tapps Garage. Thank you very much for the service, follow-up and expert advice. Took my vehicle in for a diagnosis of engine noise. They performed a complete vehicle check with pictures of my vehicle. Was informed every step of the way. My vehicle needed other tests which they called and verified before initiating. I ended up not needing a repair at this time. I noticed my car was having some issues, I just moved from Florida recently and haven’t found a mechanic yet. Took it to Tapp’s based off the reviews and they did not disappoint. Olin was my representative, and he was very helpful. As far as I can tell, they did good work on the car and gave a very comprehensive checkup on it replete with pictures and a demonstration of what they saw in one instance. Service was quick as well and not super expensive for what it was.

I just moved to Denver from Florida and realized that I needed to winterize my car. I decided to take my car to Tapp’s Garage. That was a great decision! The communication skills here are fantastic. My alternator went out while I was driving to work one morning. I called for a AAA tow and wasnt sure where to have them take my car for service. Lucky for me they suggested Tapps. Olin answered the phone even before they were technically open for the day. He was very thorough in letting me know what to expect and when regarding updates on the repair and cost. They were actually able to turn my repair around in the same day. They also noticed that my oil change was due soon, so they called to see if I wanted to take care of it too. Olin had told me that I would be working with Glen in the afternoon, and Glen was in touch with me a few times to keep me informed. They also washed and vacuumed my car. I had a rough start to the day but ended it with a smile because of the service and fair price I received at Tapps.

Brought my 94 diesel ambulance in. Needed quite a few things done to it, and the overall cost wasnt too bad. Their thorough check of the vehicle gave me a lot of confidence and insight into the overall condition of the vehicle, which I purchased recently. They got the work completed in the time frame they originally stated, and their communication was outstanding. They make every effort to be transparent about what NEEDS to be done, and what is suggested. Unlike other garages, they tell you when they are recommending a service based on observations or just routine maintenance schedule. Olin is fantastic to work with and very knowledgeable.

Wow! The reviews are spot on. I came to Tapps because a dealership found issues that cost a fortune. Olin suggested his techs do a blind inspection and then compare to the dealership list. Tapps inspection was much more thorough, and they gave a full report with piçtures and digital information so I could understand. When it came to the repairs needed, they were honest and recommended that I get xyz now and save up for abc later. They were upfront and honest! Oh and a wonderful shuttle driver!!! Brought my truck in for an issue, and although diagnostics didnt find anything, Herb, the technician, made an educated guess about the malfunction, and low and behold - my truck is fixed. They have been very kind to me, fair pricing. They went above and beyond for my old rinky dink truck, and me. Much appreciated, yall.

I just called to tell them my car was being towed there for repair and he was so nice and professional over the phone and extremely thorough. Our car started smoking after a 16 hour road trip from Michigan. Once AAA connected us with these guys everything was wonderful. My husband and I both commented on how nice and helpful they were to work with. If you live in the Denver area they should be your go to for repairs.

Ive never been in there but I called to get a quote on a clutch replacement and they never called back.I called twice. Its $1500-$1900 job and they blew me off. Must be pretty dang busy!

I called to get a 60.000 miles estimate for my car. Glen told me it was going to be in between $ 150-350 maximum including oil change, spark plugs change and brakes and clutch fluid change . I made an appointment because the price was very good compared to other places.Olin received my car. I brought with me a copy of the maintenance schedule for my car and showed to him. I told him I did not need a new cabin air filter or rotation of the tires because they are new. He told me a new price $ 410. I thought, okay it is a little more expensive than they said but still good. Later I got a call from him telling me that I needed to flush and change brakes and clutch fluid for $ 200 hundred. They told me that this was required by Subaru, which I already know because it is in the car schedule maintenance I had already showed them. So I told them not to do it, nor an air induction they recommended for $ 159 more because the new total was going to be almost $800. To tap it all up, I found out they use standard (non-synthetic oil) instead of the full synthetic Olin offered me in the beginning.So I dont recommend this place because they are not clear with their estimates, dont listen to what I wanted and they did no put the full synthetic oil they promised.

I was referred to Tapps by a friend and was very pleased with the service that I received. As a single female, a trip to the mechanic always gives me a bit of anxiety as you never know if someone might take advantage of a lack of car knowledge. Everyone was incredibly friendly and I felt my Jeep was in good hands. They resolved several issues extremely efficiently and even offered shuttle service to/from my job. This will definitely be my go to shop for future needs!

First this is not the first time I service my car at Tapps Garage, I serviced my Subaru Imper 94 after is fail emission. Tapps garage fixed the car, pass emission. I bought another Subaru and decided to bring the car to Tapps Garage to do the repair. 1 star because they did a good job with my old Subaru and another 2 star for the customer service ( offer free ride from shop to my house). The price for the repair and recommendation service is scary. 3.5k for service recommendations. 1.5k for replacing my front and rear O2 sensor. The price to repair a car at Tapps Garage is scary. I only did the $160 full inspection and I replaced the O2 sensor somewhere us.

My 98 yrs young grandmother Ms. M.P. drove until 93yrs. She always would take her green SUV to Tapps. When her wipers went out when I was driving her car in a snow storm, I was in a panic, I called her and she said take it to Tapps. I drove in they were so nice and courteous, fixed the wipers and sent me on my way with a smile on my face! Thank you!

Just moving to Denver, I am happy to find Tapps garage which is approved by AAA. They were helpful and courteous to fit me in their booked schedule at the last minute. I came for minor car maintenance - oil and engine and air filter change, tire rotation, windshield wiper but received the life saving repair thanks to their courtesy multi-points check up which found out one of my rear tire lost few bolts and one bolt was loosely secured. Due to my time constraint, they even sent one of their technician to pick up the bolts from Subatu dealer! They kept me updated throughout the process! I received the complete and very informative car inspection!! Their price for those repairs are reasonable and the waiting room is nice equipped with coffee and soft drinks!On top of that, you also received the free car wash. I am happy to find Tapps garage for my future car repair needs! Thank you!

Only reasons I give them a 2 are for friendliness and a nice office.I paid over $130 for a diagnostic and they didnt figure out what was wrong. I also paid for another service that might have made the problem worse. My car broke down days after my service at Tapps. I spent over $1500 at another shop to have it fixed.Everyone is telling me to get my money back from Tapps, so if someone is willing diacuss this with me please call me.

Outstanding service, noon on a Friday. AAA towed me to Tapps. Faulty alternator. Had me fixed, washed windows inside and out, vacuumed and washed the outside. All done by 0530 when they closed. Plus they shuttled me home and back while my Subaru was getting repaired.

I was greatly impressed with Tapp’s Garage. I’ve lived in the area for a while but after a questionable experience with the dealership’s mechanic, I decided to try out Tapp’s for some routine maintenance on my car. They give you a in-depth report on the full car (without charging extra for it) which really gives me peace of mind on my high-mileage car. Additionally, the service manager was kind and informative without trying to up-sell anything. They even employ a mechanic who specializes in euro cars. I’m reassured that I have a place I can trust to take my car to.

I was visiting Denver when my truck went clunk, clunk and wouldnt move during rush hour. Tapps mechanic diagnosed the problem and prioritized fixing it. Among other things, the drive shaft connection to the U-joint broke and needed to be jobbed out for repair. The service rep (Olin) was straightforward with me and kept me informed of the status of the repair.

I had no clue what I was getting in to when I scheduled my oil change. It was like stepping into an Oasis of excellent customer service and quality work. They drove me home after I dropped my car off. Did the work quickly and well. They even cleaned the inside and outside of my vehicle!Tapps will forever be my neighborhood garage!

I was quoted a job for $480.when i got the car there they told me i would need a new brake system i had my brakes checked and done 6 months ago. The mechanic insisted i had no brakes. My brake shoes were on the back floorboard because i had wheels checked to see what was wrong. I only needed a wheel bearing replacement on one wheel. He said he wouldnt do it because without the other$3000.00 worth of work he claimed i needed it was not safe. How did 480 turn into 3000 ill never know. Tried to say i needed a new break system in my 2008 vehicle. Found a mechanic that was licensed that came to my house got part for 30.00 checked my wheels alignment and cv joint for free and only charged 200.00.he said i didnt need none of that work done and even the 480 was high for the wheel bearing. Would have been ripped off

Very honest shop, will use again

I brought my car in recently due to an odd and alarming sound coming from the rear passenger side wheel area. The folks at Tapps were very friendly and managed to diagnose the problem after a very brief inspection in their parking lot. It turns out the top of the shock had broken off. They were able to replace both rear shocks the same day and for a reasonable price. They also email a complimentary inspection report which is nice.

Know what youre getting into when you go to these guys. They charge a lot. I went there with a dead battery on my Jeep and they charged me $173.69 for the battery and installation. (The battery has a three-year warranty.) That included a labor charge of $31 for removing the old battery, cleaning the battery cables and applying corrosion protection to the new battery terminals.They also charged $44.95 to test the battery and starter. When they called to say I could pick up the car, they told me I needed a license plate light bulb and a brake light bulb. I gave them the go ahead not knowing that they were going to charge $36 in labor to put in two light bulbs!Tax included, I paid $277.55 for a battery and two bulbs. I was shocked. Just imagine how much it would cost to repair things that require more than 10 minutes!The shop is clean. Im sure the mechanics are competent. They are polite. They provide transportation to and from your home.But, boy oh boy, will you pay through the nose for everything!

Extremely impressed with the integrity this shop has shown in everything they do. Honest, thorough, friendly, and accommodating. They may not be the cheapest in town but I wouldnt trust my vehicle with anyone else.

Took car to Tapps cuz have read multiple positive reviews. Worked with Olin on list of items they recommended. We like that they utilize pictures of the car to show their findings and clearly written comments to offer their recommendations. Low pressure to do the recommended work. Had some of the expensive recs performed, after comparing the costs at other shops, as well as the dealer. Tapps came out similar or lower than dealer, and their work was performed quickly and completely. Will continue to use them as they were professional, fairly priced and did good work. I feel better with Tapps than I did at the dealer; who serviced the car for 11 years. The dealer lost our business due to not feeling trustworthy any longer.

I had a banging coming from the rear of the vehicle recently after getting my car towed. I walked in to Tapps because they were within walking distance of my afternoon work location and the service advisor, Glenn, offered to drive it around the block and diagnose what was going on free of charge. Later on in the afternoon he called back explaining that a rear control arm was bent and hitting the frame on bumps and dips in the road. His tech, Bill, simply bent the arm back the little bit needed to prevent it from knocking the frame all free of charge! I know they arent the cheapest place in town, but if I had to take the car back in again in the future, I know the guys down at Tapps garage would provide honest and quality work!

Me and my family have been taking our cars to Tapps for years. They are the best. They are kind and efficient. They always remember my name and just because I am not very knowledgeable about cars, they do not treat me like I am stupid. They are a little expensive but in the case of cars and car repairs, you get what you pay for. I have never felt like I was being cheated or lied to...they are the best.

I would not use this garage. I used to be a loyal customer but I finally figured out I was paying a steep price for shotty work. I had to have 2 used rear ends put in when I had asked for an upgraded one and was advised against it (because of the cost and I ended up paying way more and got less.) I had my towing lights improperly fixed and had to go back. The final straw was that I payed for a new carburetor which they did not properly jet and had to take it to a new mechanic to have it fixed so I could pass inspection. Trust me over priced and poor work. It could be because I own a classic vehicle but they should be honest like others and suggest someone who knows what they are doing.

Tapps Garage has always done great work when Ive taken a vehicle to them. Olin is always very helpful on the phone. I never feel like they are trying to sell me something I dont need. I always get a list of recommendations and nothing is ever forced on me. If something ever goes wrong with their work, they are always quick to fix it. Great place with great people!

I recently went to Tapp’s for problems with shaking of my car when I got past 65 mph. I did need new rotors and brake pads up front and that addressed some of the problem. There was still shaking at higher speeds that I wasn’t comfortable with. Took it back and after listening to me about the problem again, they tried something else and it worked. They did not charge me at all! I saved over $400. They know their cars and really help out their customers! Thank you for being honest!

My car was dead in long term parking at DIA when I got back on Sunday night. By noon on Monday they had traced out a blown fuse and had me up and running again. Awesome people, awesome service, and a nice waiting room if youre stuck at the garage. Im not a local, but Ill call Tapps if I need help in the Denver area again

I cant say enough. They went over and above to help me. I highly recommend this shop. You feel like youre talking to family. They check everything. My circumstances was different than most people because what was wrong with my truck was an expensive job to fix and my trucks maybe not worth fixing so they had to help me load it on a flatbed trailer and they did that for free and it took everybody I brought some weak help with me.Thanks to the guys at Tapps!

Herb myers did a great job of diagnosing my Chev SS problems and repaired them.The waiting room had soda pop machine and a coffee machine, and a coupke of comfortable chairs.When I got the car back they had washed it and detailed the interior!!

The service at Tapps Garage is stellar. Even though my car has/had issues, they fix and solve my problems and get me back on the road quickly and always with a smile. Olin and Glen are *so good* about teaching and explaining whats wrong, what needs to be done, and getting me on the schedule right away. I appreciate all they do and will continue to recommend them to my friends and family.

Tapps knows how to treat customers! Extremely knowledgeable mechanics and friendly staff. They keep you up to date at all times and dont try to rip you off. Good people at Tapps.

Great and super friendly staff. However, I would not recommend buying tires here. They are monumentally subpar. Within an hour of having the tires a ran over a pothole. Not a crazy pothole, just a typical Dever pothole and the sidewall of the tire split open. What kind of brand new tire just splits open like that!? Im lucku I was only going about 12 MPH, any faster could have caused a serious accident and/or hurt somebody. Shop refused to replace or refund.

Everyone at Tapps Garage was pleasant and helpful. The service people spent the time to explain in detail to me work being performed and what work needed to be done. They even let me know that some items could wait until later.

Glen was extremely helpful with my car, service was quick and efficient, and they even cleaned the car for me!

Its nice to have a reliable, skilled and honest group of people you can trust to take care of my vehicles. Their pricing seems to be reasonable because they are thorough and reliable. I appreciate the fact that they are there.

Check Engine light turned on the day before I was supposed to drive to MA, Tapps were the only ones who could get the car in the same day and diagnose issue within 3h. Excellent customer service, and honest help. 10/10 would use again.

My family has been going to this place for many many years. They are always honest about whats wrong, always honest about the cost (for ONLY quality work), will show you and provide you with photographic documentation of their findings, and honestly tell you what you need to fix now and what you can procrastinate on.They cost a little more than most mechanics, but Ill gladly pay it for their quality work, immaculate attention to detail, and the fact that they have never tried to pull one over on me.Wont take my car anywhere else :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE, Tapps Garage. Have been relying on them for decades and have NEVER been disappointed. Will continue to go there as long as they are there and i have vehicle that needs Tapps TLC.
