It’s tough to describe the experience I had with words. After some email conversation and a brief chat on the phone with Chris, I brought in my KTM 990 Adv to get a) new tires, and b) and more importantly get rid of a serious wobble of my front wheel. Long story short: The bike runs better than ever before and Zach did an amazing job trueing my front and rear wheel. Having a good chat with Chris and Woody in German was the icing on the cake. I felt like a friend and not “only” like a customer! Hands down, these guys are unmatched masters in their craft!
I was traveling through the area and had purchased a tire from Performance Cycle of Colorado. The guy on the phone mistakingly told me that they could change my tire there. After picking my tire up, I called Woodys and they told me to bring my bike on by. They had my bike done in just a couple of hours, saving us from having to find a spot to park our RV in the city overnight. Great customer service, workmanship, and reasonable prices.
Purchased excel rims for my surron, took a little bit to get them but in and in the end there gorgeous and can wait to send it as they are no comparison to stock thanks Chris and staff at woodys
I have known Woody for over forty four years and have always gotten a fair deal. Now that Woody has retired, his son Chris has taken over the reins. He is very capable having grown up in the business to handle your custom wheel demands. I highly recommend taking your wheels to Woodys
Amazingly beautiful rims!! Great Prices and the strongest rims Ive ever come across/purchased/used. Amazing quality!!!
While Woodys son currently runs the shop, I got to know Woody and one of his favorite employees, Kevin several years ago. And like father, like son, they always go the ~extra mile~ for their friends, family and customers alike. Its been a treat and an honor to know & do business with these gentlemen.
Very quick to help and inform me of my choices. Seem to be very knowledgeable and reasonable. Highly suggest using their services.
Didnt realize how out of round my front rim was until Woodys got it perfectly straight! Bike rides like new now.
Very happy with their work, price and customer service. Hopefully I don’t hit any other potholes.... but if I do I will be coming back! Charlie.
Mercedes S Class AMG RimsThey repaired my wheels, I just picked it up today & everything seems to be done perfectly. The drive home was extremely smooth so I’m happy to report that the rims are straight. The timeframe was longer than expected but Chris & Jill made things right in the financial side of things. Keeping my rims and everything original was key for me. Thanks again Chris, Jill, and the entire team. Much appreciation
Chris was so helpful he went out of his way!!
Woodies always works with you and has very fair prices. There quality is excellent.
First time there today was an amazing experience 10/10
Horrible customer service. UNPROFESSIONAL
Jill, Chris and the other counter person were professional, engaging, friendly and helpful. I managed to straighten an alloy wheel for half the price of a new replacement. And had it resurface due to my curb 🏄♂️ surfing abilities. I will certainly be back to repair any other bent wheels/rims.
Great service! They were friendly, quick, and and very fairly priced! I hit a curb and got some curb rash two days into owning my new car. I found Woody’s Wheel Works online, was able to text pictures of the damage. Had an appointment set up for my earliest convenience, was able to drop the car off and pick it up the next day. They did an amazing job! The untrained eye wouldn’t be able to tell you where the damage was. Hopefully I’m done hitting curbs, but if I do I know exactly where to go to get it fixed.
Purchased 2 tires for my Harley on recommendation from Rear tire flat and will not hold air, slow leak, likely since initial mount but can’t be sure since it sat for a month before initial find. Will not warranty due to slime being added and will not fix and take a look for more compensation, tires purchased 3 months ago. I will be taking to alternate shop for repair will not deal with WWW any longer, suggest you don’t either.
These guys are the best!
Very helpful, knowledgeable
FIVE STARS ALL AROUND! I recently had the rims on my Mini fixed and was beyond impressed by the owner, friendly service, quick turnaround and outstanding quality of work. If you find yourself needing the curb rash fixed on your rims, which most Denver residence do, I highly recommend Woodys Wheel Works!
Very helpful folks. They have repaired two of the wheels on my car in the last year.
Family run store that delivers amazing quality wheels.
Tremendous! Normally repair shops are staffed by rude and condescending workers that will charge you $10 a valve stem, not the case for Woody’s. Got two tires mounted and balanced for $50 out the door and they even took the time to grease my bearings and didn’t mention it! A++
Woodys did an amazing job on a damaged motorcycle wheel that no one in NYC would fix. I cant even tell where the damage was. The price was about a quarter of what a new replacement wheel would have cost. Great communication and quick turnaround. Thanks very much!
Nice people and they know there motorcycle wheels.
Great service and high end work. They will make sure the end result will exceed expectations. Chris was great to work with and communicated very well. I had curb rash on my 2018 Sierra and it came back looking spotless. Highly recommended.
Great people, great work, excellent customer service! They did a great job repairing curb rash.
Above and beyond.I experienced exceptional quality service! friendly and comprehensive service first thing through the door I am not a racer just a guy who needed help with a damaged front wheel. Time was taken to look over the bike and I was given a fair estimate right away, Especially impressive considering other shops were all too happy to dismiss my project as a lost cause. I felt that I was treated as a priority and was happy to hear the repair was finished earlier than I expected. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend woodys wheel works to any rider. Thanks again guys!
I stared at my rim in the sun for 5 minutes, and I could not tell where the repair was done. MAGICIANS! 10/10
Woodys Wheel Witchery- that should be the name. Sent my alloy 17 gsxr 1000 wheel in (has factory wheel tape) which had lateral runout, after hitting a shredded semi tread at high speed. This immediately caused vibration at speed, especially when letting off the bars. The gentleman called with concerns prior to repair, stating concerns about the type of bend and the lightweight, thin spoke construction. Despite that, I recieved the wheel successfully trued and to my amazement, the wheel tape undamaged and absent any wheel weights. Threw it on, saw no wobble on the stands. Took it out twice now and up to 100+ and the vibration is gone, smooth as silk. Saved me a ton of money. Thank you guys so much. Lifelong customer and highly recommended.
These guys are the best! I’m amazed at the availability of wheel parts they have here. I often need them for rare and old bikes that really, no other shop in Denver has supplies for. But Woody’s always does. Prices and service are excellent. For me, there is simply no other choice than Woody’s.
Highest recommendation. Just moved here, pulled my car off of a trailer and trashed a wheel. Jill, Chris and Team did an incredible job of restoring. They did not over promise a thing. Offered me caution that the result may not be perfect and then gave me a timeline. The result was perfect and the wheel was ready when they said it would be. I hope to not go back... meaning I hope to not have another damaged wheel. In the event I do or know someone that does, Woodys Wheel Works will have my highest recommendation.
This place easily gets 5 stars for customer service, but I would only give it 3 for actual mechanical work.I was in desperate need of a tire change during a trip, and they were able to fit me in even though I just stopped in on a random Monday without calling ahead of time. They had me in and out in under two hours. They were very courteous and friendly and even gave me advice on where to ride over the next few days. The work, however was not impressive. Stickers were left on the tires, valve caps forgotten, air pressure set too low, paddock stand hardware left attached to the bike, and the chain left loose. I can attribute it to the mechanic rushing to get it done, but it is still not an acceptable way to finish a job.So go, get work done. Enjoy the people and the place. But just ensure you inspect any work done before you ride off.
I was in dire need of a tire. So I picked one up and they slapped it on for me while also informing me of other issues without pressure. They got me in and out in an hour and my tire rides great. Thanks guys.
Good service and workmanship. They do get busy and tend to take longer than expected. But their work overall is great. I still rate them 5 stars for the quality of work regardless if it takes a bit longer. Thank you for fixing my Lambo wheels!
Woodys Wheel Works is world-famous for their custom-built wheels. They are lighter and stronger than stock and are a must-have for anyone with a big adventure bike who prefers riding dirt to pavement. I had a set of Woodys Wheels on my first bike, an 11 GSA, and now a second set for my 990. Woody is a pioneer in the wheel building business and knows wheels better than anyone. The service has been outstanding. Ive sent a wheel back a couple times to straighten out a ding or be overhauled with a new set of bearings and am very pleased with the quality and speed of service.
They did amazing work on my Super Tenere wheels. The work was done fast and the wheels were shipped back in sturdy boxes. Would give a sixth star if it was available.
Just dropped off my first motorcycle wheel looking forward to working with these guys and gals. I rebuild wrecked bikes and plan to bring them more wheels
If you want your wheels scratched, messed up and over charged go here. They have the worst customer service. Ive been working on bikes a long time and recommending them and I NEVER will again. I did love the comment from the tech your not winning any beauty contest with them so i thew what i had at them. Mind you they were a brand new custom wheel set........
This store is at the height of integrity. I brought some wheels in for some repair and to get resealed. I was extremely impressed with the quality of service that I was given, as well as some cost savings that enabled me to do some of the work myself. I will be a returning customer.
Went above and beyond for me as my tire was beyond repair. Someone personally drove to get the tire I needed and installed it as well. Competitively priced and great service on top of that. Very professional shop, would definitely recommend to anyone on 2 wheels.
Chris was awesome. He went beyond the call of duty to help with a problem related to a design flaw in my scooter. Thanks guys!
If you are wearing a Woodys Wheel Works emblem, you are part of a real family. It is a statement that you understand that those 2 round wheels and tires are the most important thing between you and the road less traveled. The invention of the wheel drives every technological comfort that we have today in one way or another. That understanding, as basic as it is, is rare amongst most modern adult human beings who take it for granted as we all were introduced to a world where it exists and its current applications and future posibilities are endless. That being said, those who wear our beloved WWW emblem are obligated to help and share that understanding with every motorcyclist we meet. And aid them at changing their tires no matter how late it is on a Saturday night with an annual block party in full swing. If you are tagged our common bond is WWW (sorry if I forgot anyone) I am so very proud to he part of this very special unique group of kindred spirits as Woody would say. Love you all. WOODYS WHEEL WORKS, REINVENTING THE WHEEL SINCE 1973 EXCELLENCE SINCE 1973
Awesome place, they got me in and out in under two hours when I needed new tires during a road trip. Friendly staff and good service, reasonably priced as well!
Respectful and courteous staff. Fast service with the job done right. Will be using them from now on.
Had a set of tires installed on my 2012 streetglide on 10/25/2017. Bought the tires on my own and took them with me to be installed. From the minute a walked through the front door till I left with the bike my experience was nothing but excellent. The staff at Woodys, from the gal at the front desk, to the mechanic mounting the tires very professional. Will recommend this shop to anyone needing wheel work. Outstanding experience all around.
If Woody cant fix it it cant be fixed! Great service, reasonable prices, good communication.
This place is world class. They build wheels for dakar racers. Every time I bring in a wheel the either fix rim dents or point out my bearings are toast. By far, the best wheel shop in town
They were kind and handled my abrupt arrival very well and much quicker than most shops and gave me advice on good tools to have
I took them 2 new tires to mount on my motorcycle. When I got the bike home I realized that the rear tire had lost all air. I called them back and they said to bring it back in. They told me that my rim was corroding due to a high pressure wash (total BS as I hand wash the bike.). I was skeptical, but the bike was there and I really just wanted the tire to hold air. They charged me $80 to re-machine the wheel so the tire would hold air. Low and behold, I got the bike home and the front tire was doing the same thing. I definitely was not going to take it back to them so I found my own mechanic. He took the tire off, cleaned the rim, and re-mounted it. He said it was fine. The rim was a little dirty. He said what they said was absurd and hed never heard anything like that. Dont trust this place!
I had a set of tires installed on my 2014 Street Glide at Woodys yesterday. I had purchased the tires from a website and took them with me. The install price was reasonable especially when compared to the local HD shops and they were done with the bike in one hour and thirty five minutes. Now the bike handles like new again! Great Job!!!
Excellent service, they got me in on the same day to check if my wheels were bent, turns out they were. they even showed me the bends on their machine in the shop. checked all 4 in half an hour. very straight up analysis, transparent process, these guys are great!
EDIT: Woodys has called me on my personal line and harassed me about this review. Please take this into account when you consider if this is the type of business youd like to deal with.----------------------------------------Woodys Wheel Works installed another customers tires onto my bike, and they were the wrong size to boot.I brought in my bike, along with some tires I picked up on the Internet. WWW came well reviewed, so I figured I should go with them, especially since theyre close to my house. I dropped my bike off, and they were nice enough to hold it over night as they installed tires. I picked it up the next day, and I noticed the bike felt very strange, but I figured it was just new tire syndrome and that my 400 mile ride on the weekend would take care of that. That was until I received a call from them while I was at work. They just noticed they had installed the wrong tires.I checked my bike, and they did - they were completely different tires than the ones I had brought in, **and a completely different style and size of rear tire that isnt safe on my bike**. Of course, now that Im off work, theyre already heading home for the weekend.I was really hoping these guys were going to be good, now I know theyre just another crap motorcycle shop, one of Denvers many.
Nice people. Honest, fair, straightforward pricing. Woodys is the only place I go for wheel repairs, tires, tubes, tire repair, etc. I will be returning for all my tires/wheels on all my Motorcycles.
Told me my wheel would be done Friday, they had it fixed Wednesday, super friendly super helpful and I’m super impressed I highly recommend woodys.
The staff and crew at Woodys Wheel Works are honest, professional and committed to creating a positive experience for their clients. Their suggestions took my best interests into consideration, not how much money they might make on the work. They are clearly interested in developing long term relationships with their customers.
Great work done and great customer service too. These guys totally made my wheel look like new after I curb checked it. And they did so for a very reasonable cost. Thank you!!!!!
Woodys took care of mounting and balancing the tires on my 2013 BMW R1200 GSA and in the process, trued and ground the wheel at the point where the factory had welded the seam together for the rim. I guess BMW is too busy building bikes to take the extra step needed to make wheels run true AND balanced... in any event, the wheels have run true with nary an issue and I am a happy Woodys customer. Ill likely be getting another set of wheels from him before long!!!
Their work is excellent and the prices are great. And, Jill is a sweet heart!
I have been using Woodys for over 15 years for both metric to Harley. Their quality control and attention to deal is unsurpassed. When you only have two tires to keep you upright, you better damn well use people who know what theyre doing. These people do!
I never rate places but Woodys is absolutely top tier! I purchased a new set of wheels for my GS. These wheels are lighter, stronger and far better looking than the originals. Plus Woody will not let you leave until you are completely satisfied. Go!
Very friendly staff members, Paul, Jill. Awesome people.
I am very pleased with them. Took a rim in off my wifes MB SLK350 that had a chunk out of the outside between 2 of the spokes. MB had quoted me $498 or so for new one. For $250 Woodys filled in the missing piece and machined and polished the outside and painted the inside. While the patch isnt chromed, you have to look a little close and know where to look to notice the fix. I was able to get a new tire to replace the ruined one and came out for less than a new rim. Very pleased. This is a great find if you need an alloy wheel fixed and it looks like they do mostly motorcycles if you are looking for something there.
Quick turnaround on my bent wheel repair. I thought the service and price were great. I hope I dont bend another wheel but if I do, I would only take it here.
Great prices, and lots of options. I was looking to upgrade my rims and they had several options including refinishing my existing rims fur a reasonable price.
Bought a new bike that had the rear tire installed backwards. Called in, set up an appointment same day. In and out in less than an hour. Very friendly, pretty quick. Very happy with my experience there.
Wow. Wow, wow, wow. They messed up big time. My husband brought in his own tires to be installed by the Woodys team. This is something they advertise and do all the time. Not only did we come home with the wrong tires on the bike, but theyre the WRONG SIZE. Do you know how dangerous that is?? He said it felt like it was going to tip over at every turn on the way home, but chalked it up to the tires being new. Nope, its because Woodys really, REALLY messed up on this one. Well need to get it towed to get the tires re-replaced. Ridiculous. Be advised. I wouldnt trust these irresponsible screw-ups. Thats someones life at stake, not just a misfiled document.
After a drive to Chicago and back I hit some major potholes while driving. I limped home with a very bent rim that constantly needed to be refilled with air. After much research I decided to go to Woodys to get my car rim fixed on my 09 chevy Malibu.Long story short, these guys were awesome. I took my rim in and they fixed it for what we agreed on. They stuck to their time frame and it was done very quickly and with great care. All of the staff were friendly and polite to me. I have another rim that is bent that I am going to bring in there just in case I have a flat tire in the future.I highly recommend this place of business!
Honest, fast turnaround, and so NICE! Woodys is on my list of establishments I would recommend without hesitation. Thank you, Woodys Wheel Works 😄
I have had some great work done here, specifically a tubess motorcycle wheel conversion and some very precise wheel truing. However I have also had a few off times such as a tire mounted that they forgot to balance. As well as the last two tires mounted had leaky tubes on day one. One was pinched and the other tube was defective near the valve. Generally Woodys has always tried to make it right, however my last conversation with them about the recent issues was pretty disappointing. After being a loyal customer for 6 years I am down grading them to 2 stars. Pretty sad they dont seem to care just like everyone else these days just rush to get things done as fast as possible with little care.
You Guys are my wheel and tire source. My whole family has dirt bikes and you guys have serviced them all, you even dropped off the rear wheel to my xr 400 after hours to my house so I could use it that weekend because you were to busy to get it done early that day. Thanks for the extra effort.
These guys know what theyre doing. They replaced the chain and sprockets on my 1996 Kawasaki KLX 650. Also gave me lots of good tips on keeping my chain adjusted properly.
Peace of mindAbout a month ago I bought pads and tires from Performance and they sent me over to Woodys Tires to have them installed. I was told I really should set up an appointment to have the work done, but they would fit me in if they have to. In today’s “get it now society” we all like to think we’re the most important person in the world and I’m not above saying I’m the same way. The service was great and they got my bike back on the road in no time flat. After driving the bike a few times over a 3 week period my brakes started squeaking really bad! I addressed this issue with the folks at Woodys Tires and Performance. Although we had a difference of opinion both places agreed to replace the brake and install new ones at no cost. They asked and I agreed to give it another week before I scrap a perfectly fine product and waste their time and mine. The above took place yesterday and the brakes are still squeaking. However, knowing that I will be taken care of if the brakes don’t form to the routers and stop squeaking is what prompted me to write this review. For me customer service is EVERYTHING! I have to be able to trust who I’m buying from and believe that they will right any wrongs that are caused. I’m not saying anyone did anything wrong but I now know that if there is an issue they will handle it. Despite that being aggressive and abrasive at times, I am a reasonable and intellectual person who is very loyal. I will henceforth use and promote these two businesses, their products, and their services.
Had a bent BBS wheel. They were able to true it up and blend the matte black paint. Good job!
Woodys is awesome. It has been around forever and I have had several motorcycle and car rims repaired and relaced here.
I went here with a wheel spacing issue. The gentleman took my problems to heart and spent an hour getting me a set of custom cut spacers to get my harley on the road. I will take all of my needs to them first.
I brought in one of my 30 chrome rims from my Infinity G37 that was continuously leaking air due one too many pot hole hits. This resulted in a slight bend in the rim which I thought was un-repairable. I had been having problems with this rim for about a year and could not take the brain damage any longer having to fill it with air every third day. I found these guys and was somewhat skeptical upon reading the reviews, but took the risk anyway.I brought it in, and the guy up front grabbed it, said follow me, took me into the shop, threw it up on the mount, sprayed it, and showed me the exact spot where the leak was. You could see the bend clear as day, and the bubbling from the leak. He said I need a week, and it will be 220 bucks. It has been a month, my rim is like new and it was the best 220 bucks I even spent. While it sounds like they are struggling with some sort of management issues from the reviews, they took damn good care of me. Note to Woodys--- you guys should look into bar code tagging & scanning for tracking of incoming wheels. This will eliminate mismatching tires from customers, and it is very cheap to implement.
These guys are great! Ive shipped them numerous wheels to be fixed and had them build a custom wheel for my BMW GS. Zach and Woody know their stuff will treat you right. Give em a call.
They always do a good job.
I want to compliment Rochelle for her honesty and integrity. I would highly recommend Woodys Wheel Works to anyone.Darrell
Really nice guys they helped me out a lot and in the end I got hosted by one worker!!
A company with soul! The highest quality products and services!
Great work and done on time! Thanks.
I bought a 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere used from a guy in Colorado. This bike came already with Woodys 18x21 wheel conversion I was ready to do some trail riding.Well over time the rear wheel started developing small cracks at the base of the rim at the spoke nipple holes.I contacted Woodys, Chris (super guy) told me to send the whole wheel and hub and they flipped the bill both ways and replaced the rim.I can see some folks gripe about issues $110.00 to mount your tires you bought off the web is cheap.I have to pay $140.00. Its like slapping a pound of raw ground meat on McDonalds counter and expect them to cook it for free.Woody is a stand up guy for taking on something I didnt pay for. They are willing to work with folks if you dont treat them like an Ass!!
Woodys went out of the way to fix a problem that they did not create, and whilst they were doing so gave me one of their bikes as a loan for 10 days or so... and told me to ride the wheels off it!They then charged me a very reasonable $$$$ when it was ready, treated me like a friend, and chatted with me about what had happened, etc...Kudos!
A company with soul! The highest quality products and services!
Rev the repair shop is behind it and Sev is the most helpful motorcycle mechanic Ive ever had the pleasure to come across.
Dont bother going anywhere else!! I checked with two other companies who said my BMW wheels were too damaged to repair. Woodys repaired all four and they look terrific!
Awesome company. Very helpful on a last minute fix while traveling cross country. Thanks!
Staff in the front office were nice. The techs that fix rims DO NOT know how to match colored rims so beware. I had high hopes for this shop... $90 to fix my curb rash, 2 taxis @ $25 a pop because the work wasnt done right the first time... Basically, I over paid and I have a wheel that doesnt match the other 3.. It seems like their market is geared more towards motorcycle rims so I wouldnt recommend taking your car/truck here.Owner of a 2011 Camaro
Really helpful and offered multiple options for. Will to work with you
Didnt put my rear motorcycle wheel back on correctly and almost caused an accident. Double check their work.
Ive always been told this is the place for any type of wheel repair and now I know why, Theyre simply the best. Thanks for the great work.
Woodys is simply the best. Quick and helpful service. New wheels and alignment helped out a bunch. Thanks Woodys Team, rockstars!
Great service. I travel from Boulder just to see these guys. I just got a nail in my tire and wont take it to any other place.
Quick & good service! Friendly personal.
TLDR: Originally there were problems, but they went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right.First time I went into Woodys Wheel Works I had a tire that I had been working on for a week, I had popped a couple tubes and was getting tired of DIY. I took it there asked them replace the tube, and they did just that. Customer service from the front desk was awesome.I took the tire home put it on the bike, rode around the block. all good. in the morning when I loaded up the bike for a ride, it was a bit low on air. During the inflation process it popped. Instead of going straight to a bad review I called them up. They were super apologetic over the phone (despite it not REALLY being their fault). They offered to look at it again. So I took it in, service took a while the second time, but they ended up going above and beyond (new rim tape, trued wheel) to make sure the issue didnt happen again. I just got back from a ride around the state on both pavement and dirt. Tire held air just fine.I will be going there from now on for all my wheel/tire needs.
Quick, friendly, & talented. My curb rashed wheels look new again. Thanks.
