I have lived here for 6 months now and absolutely love it! When I moved in, my apartment was extremely clean and the staff was very helpful. I have not had any issues with noise, the various courtyards are well kept and fun to hang out in, and the location cant be beat (10 minute walk to downtown). The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because of the pool and gym. August is almost over and they still have not opened the pool (which we are all paying for) and the gym has had leaks (other than the leaks, it is a nice gym!).Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out!

I moved into uptown apartments a year ago and at first I was very happy. The location is great as you are walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, parks, etc. Since I moved in at the end of summer, I got to enjoy the pool. However, after the first few months of living here everything has gone downhill. The leasing office is unresponsive to say the least. I cannot even count the amount of times I have called and left messages without a response. It’s important to note that they aren’t answering because they’re super busy. A few months ago my AC went out and my apartment was 87 degrees. After calling over ten times, I walked down to the office. There were FIVE agents sitting in the office simply talking. When I expressed that I tried to call they ignored me. On top of this they have failed to open the pool, a amenity that drew me to this apartment. The week before Memorial Day they said they were waiting on an inspector and three months later nothing has changed. This is extremely disappointing and uptown decided to “make up” for this by giving away 25 tickets to a water park (not even to all residents). Along with all this, cleanliness is an issue. Residents are letting their dogs go to the bathroom in the parking deck so as you walk/drive you have to maneuver large piles of dog poop. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

The Uptown Apartment complex is extraordinary, they offer a many different locations and styles to choose from that all share the same amenities. Coming from a NY/LA or somewhere similar, this place is a steal and centrally located in Denver to all the right neighborhood and spots. The staff is very friendly and attentive and I really enjoy the community at large. My only reason for not giving five stars is the automation process around leasing and communicating (not in person) with the office. It’s fairly easy for a tech savvy person, but a bit complicated for everyone else. It can also be hard to reach a human on the phone, and the email response time is painfully slow around simple questions and answers. However, to whatever degree that’s important to you, it’s just as easy to visit the office. I still highly recommend this community, I love living here and hope this review helps.

Honestly, our first couple months here were great. The area is fun and cute, and I love how each building has a unique courtyard. However, the pool hasnt been open all summer due to the apartment struggling to comply with regulations. The rooftop, which is another advertised amenity, closes at 6pm despite a sign saying it closes at 10pm. Good luck trying to watch the sunset up there! Additionally, the maintenance requests take forever to be completed, if theyre completed at all. Our washing machine flooded our apartment and weve received no information on what to do about it, as the leasing office refuses to return our calls or emails. Great apartment complex until something goes wrong and you have no way to fix it!

I’ve lived here almost a year now and overall I love my apartment. It’s inexpensive and in a nice area, but definitely has some problems, like most apartments.Pros-Apartment locationInexpensiveAmenities (if they’re open)Apartment sizeAllows PetsMaintenance is super fastIn unit washer/dryerCourtyards and rooftop are greatCons--My building is over an oyster bar and there’s always weird smells.-Fire alarm goes off way too much. It’s a safety hazard because no one would believe if there’s a real fire.-Pool was never opened and there was zero communication from leasing office. No money off for an unusable amenity-lots of homeless people. But not really an apartment issue, more of a Denver issue.-lots of break ins in the parking garage, but they have hired security.-leasing is probably the worst-call box for building doesn’t work and leasing doesn’t give you any info on that either.-dirty. They have a cleaning crew but they seem to only clean first floor. There’s been spilled sauce in my hallway for probably a month now.-my courtyard is pretty run down-dog run is a joke. Super tiny and no one picks up after their dogs

Impossible to talk to them. It’s mid-June, the pool should be open. Or at least give a date.Edit - wow. Good to know this is what’s standing in the way of you providing your residents the amenities they pay for. Could this have been handled a few months ago instead?1. Mount a fire extinguisher near the gas grills2. Mount a fire extinguisher to wall in pump room, and obtain inspection of both fire extinguishers by ANY licensed fire extinguisher company.3. Stop storing liquids above solids in chemical storage shed. Separate storage of acids and oxidizers.4. Change pool address for emergency phone monitoring company and on the sign below the phone to match actual pool address

The pool hasn’t been opened, and it’s late July. The reasons included storing wet chemicals above dry ones and not putting fire extinguishers next to their grills (screenshot provided). These aren’t new requirements like they claim. They are basic chemical handling and safety procedures…Their office workers do not respond in a timely manner - if they respond at all. They offer a community rewards program, but it’s a joke. I’ve had to wait months, after repeatedly asking, for them to provide what they promise - still hasn’t been awarded by their office manager.I had to reach out to them and leave more than 6 messages to renew my lease before anyone called me back, and then I had to leave 3 more messages before I could get someone to actually help me.

I wish I wasnt writing a google review right now but unfortunately I have to. Over the last 6 months, this building has had various continuous problems. As of recent, there have been multiple car break-ins. The building is not helpful in these scenarios nor do they care. They give you the illusion of safety in this building. People roam free through locked gates and none of your personal property is safe. Its peak summer and the building failed to be proactive in opening the pool, blaming it on permits while no other buildings had issues acquiring them in a timely manner. On top of that, there are various water pipeline issues and constant fire alarms going off. These alarms go off almost weekly, sometimes mid-day, other times while you are fast asleep. Nothing is done to remedy these issues. . Do not live here unless you want to live with anxiety on a constant basis of what might go wrong. This building is just full of excuses and does everything at bottom dollar cost. WHY DO YOU THINK THERE ARE SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS... ITS NOT 1 BAD EXPERIENCE FROM JUST 1 PERSON.

UPDATE: I reached out to the email listed below from the owner about my situation and this is how they responded;“ Good morning,We do not manage any property called the (insert property name) or the address stated.Thank you.”The absolute level of unprofessionalism here is insulting. I have no idea how this place is still up and running.——————REVIEW 07/28/21STILL no open pool. My apartment flooded my first month living here. Windows arent even sound proof lol. Fire alarms going off at random hours of the day. Persistent issues with one of my neighbors, whose boyfriend has violent outbursts at ALL hours of the day. Ive called the police on them multiple times, written multiple emails to the leasing office who not only is staffed by a bunch of overworked and probably underpaid individuals (you can tell by their terrible customer service), but they dont even bother to respond to your calls and emails. There have been instances where Ive gone into the office and its completely DEAD but they couldnt even pick up the phone to answer my call? Our new security team is located in Commerce city, which, by the time someone does get dispatched, whatever safety issue you were initially calling for is probably over. Now Im having issues with my water heater and reached out to the office a few weeks ago to get maintenance to check it out and I havent heard back. This place is an absolute nightmare.

Management will occasionally send an email to residents (like the one we got today) stating that the pool will reopen when the city of denver has finished their inspections. However we haven’t been given a timeline of when that may be. Assuming these inspections have been scheduled with the city, I don’t know why residents can’t be given a more specific timeline than “as soon as possible.” I understand the need for safety, but there are plenty of other apartments in the area whose pools are already open, so it doesn’t really add up. It’s 100 degrees and the middle of June and we just keep getting told vague info about how this amenity will be available “as soon as possible.” Many residents are voicing the same frustrations about a lack of transparency.

Okay place to stay, thought it had a nice beautiful courtyard but quickly realized its an off leash dog park for sure! Granted there is ONE sign that clearly states absolutely NO dogs off leash in the courtyard, but somepeople I guess are VERY unaware and thatsme beingnice. Not to mention there are CLEARLY 2 separate fenced-in places for you to take your dog to do its business but people I guess have no idea how to open the gate and let their dog in they just walk around it and let their pet pee all over the outside of the gate the planters and peoples porches. The company just spent money to re-model and laid cedar mulch and the ignorant people are just letting their dog dig it up no respect at all but why would they, they didnt pay for anything. Ive also watched people walk in to the courtyard and the people that cant read the signs just let their dog jump all over people like I said its definitely a off leash dog park NOT a beautiful courtyard that they wish it was.

I sent email expressing my displeasure paying high rent with no pool going into the week of the Fourth of July and was told “amenities aren’t part of rent”. I gave five stars at first, but now coming into my third month Im super disappointed. I would not live here if you suffer from anxiety, have children, or work from home. The fire alarms ring no exaggeration- EVERY single week at least once. Its super unsafe, if there is a real fire no one will take it seriously. The office doesnt ever respond to any email, ever. There is also 0 enforcements about masks in any of the common areas, especially the gym. Im hoping this will improve as I do love the location and my apartment itself, but the other reviews are true, the staff truly just does not care.

We were extremely excited to be moving to Uptown Square. When we saw the price and location we couldn’t refuse. The office staff is always there it’s amazing, but shockingly they have little to no idea about what’s going at the apartment community. When you call odds are they will not answer but worry not if you enjoy being ghosted go ahead and chose the text option in the call menu. You can send emails but they are about as quick to respond as USPS is delivering packages during COVID.When you move in you’ll probably be told it’s turn key right when you sign your lease! I’d prepare yourself for burnt out light bulbs, an oven that isn’t plugged in and a leak that will take weeks if not months to fix but hey, you’ll have a great view! From others reviews I hear that maintenance is always around, they’re great at hide n seek, I never see them! Our unit has a dope open floor plan or should I say open ceiling since our bathroom ceiling has been cut open for 6 weeks. If you’re in for a fun and exciting experience give Uptown Square an opportunity to stress you out during the duration of your 12 month lease :).

I am so disappointed in the level of service from the leasing office. They were quick to approve my application and take my deposits but have been extremely unresponsive since. My move in date is next week and they still haven’t sent me a lease to sign. It took contacting the parent company to get a response from the leasing agent after she ignored 3 of my emails over the course of a week. Despite having all the documentation, information, and deposit money for several days, she didn’t even begin to write up the lease or submit my documents for approval. I just don’t understand how something so simple is taking so long and why they’re so averted to speaking to me. I’ve been nothing but cordial despite how frustrated I am and I don’t know what else to do. At this point I’m considering asking for my deposits back and finding somewhere else to live except that I’ve already shipped my furniture and booked my flight. Uptown Square has made this move way more stressful than it needed to be and I’m extremely disappointed.EDIT: Im not sure how to respond to the owners response so Ill add mine here: I think its telling that I got a response to my public review before getting a response to any of my calls, voicemails, or emails. What Im dealing with now is that I overpaid my deposit because the leasing office was unclear about what I actually owed. Ive been chasing them down since last week for a refund on my deposit since Ive overpaid by $300. Ive already contacted Highmarks offices about this. All theyve done is provide more phone numbers and email addresses that Im unable to get a response from. From what I can tell, they are extremely understaffed and I feel terrible for being such a nuisance to the leasing office, but Im really not asking for a lot. Just basic, timely responses to basic questions. Highmark needs to make sure theyre staffed accordingly for the volume of calls/requests the building and leasing offices receive. If you cant fill open roles, you probably arent paying your employees enough. Do better!

Know Ive said it before but this is one of my most favorite places. Over 250 floor plans in a 696 Unit property that spans over 3 Denver city blocks. Huge development that manages residential and retail seamlessly. Really unique floor plans and at a great fun atmosphere. One of the coolest building is a old nurses dormitory. When you walk into the courtyard of this building I felt this peaceful, serine and calming of my being. I was attracted to this space immediately. Then Ms. Larissa told me that the renovation project was going to make this space even sweeter but its redesign plan. A ZEN garden theme. Now courtyard went from 100 to 1000, but wait it gets better. The unit its self is absolutely amazing. Did I mention that this is historically preserved. Coolest space I have seen all summer hands down. See below photos. This is the only building on site that has this affiliation. It also have a roof top chill spot with fire place and ample seating for several simultaneous resident gatherings. Really cool industrial spot, exposed bricks, pipes and concrete floors and walls. Simply very cool. A little over 1200 sq ft. Already leased to another party, but its okay I saw three other different floor plans that I really loved too. Downtown views are great the street action below is really cool. Many great places to eat from cheap to pricey, ( see my later reviews ) ice cream shop, bakery, cleaners. This place It has it all. Walk score is 84, transit score is 85 and bike score of 98 the 4th highest in the nation. I give this place a 10 stars simply for the value of the property and unit options and stylish appointments. 10 Stars for all the really cool renovations and the little minor intrusions or inconveniences to the tenant. And finally a BIG whopping 100 stars to great office, leasing and maintenance staff. Check out all the pics. If your in the market for a new spot definitely put this on your list.

Fire alarms in building 6 are excessive. No one even goes outside anymore which is a huge risk if there ever is an actual fire. Laundry is in separate building and not on every other floor like the other buildings. Water damage from pipes bursting in main hallways. Sprinklers keep randomly going off this week. My car has been broken into twice since I moved in, dont park on the top level. Increased patrol doesnt stop it, the person breaking into cars clearly lives in the building since this has been going on for a while. Office never answers calls or emails, but they do keep recordings of all voicemails receive so you know they are purposefully ignoring them. Homeless people in stairwells. Im just trying to move out and havent been able to get in contact with anybody today. They bill utilities based on hallway usage-not your individual. Getting billed double for electricity because they have fans in the hallways that are on 24/7 for the water damage their faulty sprinklers cause. Random junk and maintenance materials left around hallways. Ive posted negative reviews twice for this building and usually remove it if they address the issues but I feel like potential move-ins should see this. Now Im stuck paying rent here an additional month and I doubt itll be an easy process.Update: I havent lived in this apartment for about 2 months and only come in to move some stuff out and deep clean, so why is my utility bill double? It should be significantly less.

There are so many things I love about living at Uptown Square. The maintenance team is awesome! They are swift to respond to requests and are always friendly. The amenities and grounds are beautiful!Unfortunately though, I gave this place two stars because of the staff that works in the office. As you will find in the comments below, I am not the only resident that has concerns with the front office staff being rude and unhelpful. 9/10 whenever I call they do not pick up the phone. They rarely if ever take responsibility for concerns. For example, recently I had my boots stolen outside of my apartment door. I went to talk to a staff member about my concern and they were dismissive. When I shared what had happened, the staff member responded by rolling her eyes and said, “It was not a big deal.” I wish the front staff was more friendly and responsive to the concerns of their residents.

I lived at Uptown Square in 2020 and had relatively few issues! However, since vacating in Dec 2020 I have yet to receive my deposit back. When I returned my keys I left a forwarding address with the receptionist, Faith, who apparently lost this information? Not really sure what happened there. Leasing office staff (McKenzie) does promptly respond to emails and is always polite- However, on Feb 11, 2021 I was informed that this issue would be escalated to the appropriate channels. Surprisingly, no one has reached out to me since this time- I have consistently had to follow up with the leasing office on my own via email- because they do not return voicemails.Ill update if this issue is ever resolved, but at this point Ive stopped hoping Ill ever get my deposit back.UPDATE:I have had multiple at length emails with Sydney Glista (Assistant Community Director) on 03/08/2021 which she directed me a check with my deposit would be mailed immediately. Ever since High Mark Residential took over as the property management company for Uptown Square, this complex has very quickly declined. The grounds and amenities are very poorly maintained and the residents here are notorious for trashing the place. The poor janitorial crew is constantly trying to keep up with the mess and its just not possible. The whole complex looks so rough compared to when we originally moved in. They now allow people to lease units for the sole purpose of using it as an AirBnB which leads to temporary guests treating the complex like a hotel with no consideration for the people that live here. The buildings and parking garage are in no way secure and are hit with car break-ins and package theft DAILY. Not worth the cost.

Pros - Nice neighborhoodCons - The staff is very subpar and do not seem to care about the residents at all. Only care about sales if you are looking to lease. They do not pick up the phone or reply to emails in a timely manner, if at all. They say they do a lot of things they do not, like policing the garage which you pay extra for. But you cant leave your car outside or it will get broken into as mine did. Not sure if they even have security, I have never seen them. The rent has gone up to reach normal Denver prices so no point in paying that much to get a lesser apartment with terrible service. Sidewalks and courtyards smell like pee and are never cleaned. Renovated only some buildings so if youre not in one of those youre out of luck and still have to pay more for things you dont even have. Old buildings with little updates, my balcony collects water because the cement is not level. AC sounds like a factory and walls and ceilings are thin, can hear all movement upstairs, neighbors TVs/music, and water in pipes. Not enough package storage for 5 large buildings and most items are left unattended with no notification. I recommend looking elsewhere

Response to owner: apologies for the delay. I just saw your reply and we appear to have two different interpretations regarding the bike theft. I never asked to see the footage because I assumed it either violated company policy or the law. That wasnt the problem though. I couldnt get them to share it with the police. In fact, I couldnt get them to assist in any way at any point. Turning their back to me in a situation where I needed help is bad enough, but they were stonewalling my efforts by feeding me misinformation from the time I filed the report to 3 months later when I was told the camera wasnt working, theres no footage, and the case was closed. The detective who was involved told me he was basically treated similarly and couldnt get anyone from the leasing office to cooperate, unless he was lying to me? The whole experience was really upsetting and made me feel helpless, because I had no other recourse than to put my full trust and faith into the leasing office. It was as if every Uptown employee I dealt with was completely devoid of empathy and basic human decency, when the position calls for a higher level of consideration and responsibility than the average job. I dont want to be doing this. Who in their right mind wants a confrontation and a hostile relationship with their landlord, but the callousness and dishonesty exhibited by your employees was so outrageous it compelled me to write this review to ensure Uptown executives/stakeholders read my perspective, something I would normally never do in a million years. You cant ask for a better location in Denver and Uptown Square has great amenities - gym, pool, courtyards (one with dog park), rooftop. Their maintenance team is really great too - extremely fast turnarounds via an online request portal. I have never had an issue with the management staff, theyre easy to work, and their online payment portal is very convenient. The only downsides for me would be the frequency of fire alarms (which are going off as I write this) and lack of security cameras in the garages. Recently a fire alarm will go off almost once a month, which is tough if youre working from home. Also, my car and many others have been broken into in our gated garage. After acknowledging one instance where 10+ cars were broken into in one night, you would think they would have installed some security cameras in the garage, yet I still dont see any.

My apartment had great views of a very lively intersection with tons of great restaurant choices. The offices customer service was terrific on my move out. Very easy. The reason I moved was to live with my partner and join her lease. The only major issue I had while living here was someone smoking in the building and the alarms went off in the middle of the night. You cant pick your neighbors. My biggest complaint is the parking garage. It is dirty and the parking spots are narrow (I drive a large truck.) Also, the remote gates had lots of issues with staying open or not opening. If you are looking for savings on rent for a place close to downtown, Uptown Square is a great choice.

If you move here, your things will get stolen!!! Management team is rude and unhelpful in these situations. Cars are broken into almost on a weekly basis (in the secure paid parking garage), bikes are stolen from the secure bike rooms, and management refuses to implement any changes to reduce these situations from occurring.

Great location and maintenance is fantastic. However, Ive had consistent issues with the office since I moved in. I would not recommend living here due to the mismanagement of the building. Theyre helpful when youre signing your lease or discussing renewing but they treat you like youre a nuisance and are too busy all other times. Its a shame, I work in the property management industry and residents shouldnt feel this way.If you care to know more, my three biggest (and lengthiest) examples below:1) I was out of town unexpectedly and put my package locker status on vacation mode. My trip was extended and I updated the end date. When I returned, I checked the app it showed my five packages were removed by admin. I stopped by the office and they handed me two. I said more were marked as removed by admin and the office told me literally thats all we have for you. I came by the next day and someone different told me she returned the other three to sender because there was a lapse on vacation mode. According to the app, all five were removed within minutes of each other. It makes zero sense why two were left in the office for safekeeping and the other three were returned. I asked the office if they contact the residents if theyre removing or returning packages and they said no. This simple lack of communication caused a massive headache. I contacted the three companies of the missing packages and none have any record of them being returned. I genuinely think they were just misplaced by the office and now Im out almost $1,000.2) On October 30, I received a call that there was a maintenance issue and they needed to enter my apartment with no further explanation. I returned home and had a humidifier in my unit. This stuff happens and I figured the office would reach out with more info. Days went by without an update and the two times I called office for some context (i.e. When will it be removed? When do you need back in my unit?) I was pushed off the phone. It wasnt until November 7 that an email was sent detailing the issue, all the while I was working from home with an extremely noisy humidifier. Whenever I was told someone would be in that day for repairs, it was often the next, and it made planning extremely hard. My wall ended up getting torn down to the studs and I had the humidifier (and little info) in my unit for weeks.3) I referred a friend and stopped by the office to sign the referral form. My friend hadnt had a chance to sign her portion of the form when COVID hit. I emailed the general office inbox and asked if she could do so electronically instead. Eleven days later, I still hadnt received a response and forwarded to the manager to see if he could assist. He was helpful but asked us both to sign the electronic form. My referral inquired on 3/30 if my paper copy would suffice with her electronic version and we received no response. I followed up on 4/2 and 4/14 and finally was told the paper version was lost. Not the end of the world, however, it added to the continued lack of communication frustration and the vibe that the office is mismanaged or too busy to assist.

My car was stolen from the parking garage at this building and when I told the staff they just said “OK”. The staff is rude and they ignore phone calls. I have also left messages regarding my upstairs neighbors harassing me and I mean they were pounding and stomping on the floors, getting on a mega phone and calling me obscenities. When I told the staff they just told me that if it is that bad I could just move apartments.

I was supposed to move in over the weekend and I got a call from the leasing office saying they were not able to get the lady out of my apartment prior to my move in date, so the aparment isnt ready and wont be for over a week. I took time off from work, had people ready to help me move, everything packed into my car and then find out the day of that my apartment is not ready. They gave me a temporary apartment but now I have to move TWICE. I have yet to move into this apartment and Ive already had a horrible experience. They need to have some type of policy/plan for when their tenants decide not to move out on their move-out date, because while it may not be an inconvenience to them, it has been for me.

I’ve loved the location and the apartment. The leasing agent I worked with has not been great at follow-through, despite me checking in often initially and them promising things would get done. The office is also difficult to get a hold of as they often don’t pick up the phone and have ignored my two latest emails. I’m hoping this all changes so that I will want to continue living here. But the maintenance portal is responsive and convenient, and the staff is friendly.

Love the people who live here and the maintenance team is awesome! But when something bigger happens, dealing with the property manager is the worst. He is quite unprofessional. I don’t think any of the security cameras on the property work either. Another parcel room would be a good addition too considering the huge number of people who live here. I did appreciate that they stopped charging a late fee on rent for a little while but that is ending in January, even as the global pandemic still rages and many people are out of work. I like the location as well but overall am not pleased with all of the other issues.

Overall, Ive enjoyed living in Uptown Square. I think the rent is fair for the amount of Sq-ft. you get. The staff has been friendly whenever I go to the leasing office with questions and the maintenance team is quick to address any issues that are submitted to them. I can respect that maintaining six different apartment buildings is a challenge and I think Uptown does a decent job at making sure their residents are living in a safe, friendly, and functional community. My only negative would be the parking garages. There is a floor of parking dedicated to pay-by-app parking spots that residents cannot park in overnight. Instead we have to park on the rooftop of the garages, which is uncovered and does not get plowed during the winter. This is very frustrating considering we pay monthly to park in the garage, instead of out on the street. There could also be more garbage cans and pet waste receptacles in garages for residents to use so that the garages stay cleaner.

I have lived here for a little under a year now, and really love it. The location is perfect. It is a walk away from downtown and the restaurants and nearby offerings are great. I really like living in a beautiful place with so many other dog parents. But since living here I’ve had two leaks under my sinks ruining my things, my bike has been stolen from the storage room, and I spent a month and a half dealing with a leak in my bedroom with no drywall and workers constantly in and out. They had equipment everywhere and left nails all over my floors and my dog could have stepped on that. Honestly the repairs were completely inconvenient and I definitely had my privacy invaded for more than half the time I’ve been here.

Ive been living here for over 4 years now and I love everything about it! There was a notable shift when the new management took over and it was all for the better. We never have the common Denver apartment complex issues (i.e. random fire alarms going off) and all my maintenance requests are resolved within 24 hours. Not to mention how easy the staff is to work with. Also the addition of Parcel Pending has been so convenient and we have never had issues. I have friends in many different complexes around Denver and by far I am the one with the least issues! And the location is amazing - there is a grocery store, many restaurants, and a liquor store all within 1 mile and its a quick walk to downtown so we never have to worry about parking. Overall a great experience!

Staff is nice and attentive but the new ownership is prioritizing profits over residents. They took away a few nice perks like guest parking and replaced it with pay by the hour parking. My apartment(like many others) flooded after a snow storm and their solution to the problem was to leave dehumidifiers and fans running in my apartment for days on end which left me with a massive electric bill that I was stuck paying. I moved out because they raised the rent over $200 a month(a more than 15% increase) and parking fees were raised by 33%.Theyve made a lot of aesthetic improvements over the years but there are several issues they havent addressed. The onsite security is practically non-existent. As a result there are often homeless people squatting in common areas and the secured parking lot. Ive also had a bike stolen from an interior bike storage room. They turned our interior courtyard into a games courtyard which led to other residents regularly being loud and playing games like cornhole during quiet hours, like 3am on weekdays, without security there to tell them to stop.Location is great but drawbacks outweigh the positives. If you end up in an apartment facing the games courtyard or the pool expect to get little to no peace and quiet regardless of time of day. There were many times I felt I was paying luxury apartment prices to live in a frat house.

Couldn’t give less than a 1 star. There was never any snow removal or deicing especially on the top of the parking garage. The fire alarms went off weekly for no reason. Constant homeless break ins into community areas. Complex was too cheap with their packaging system and the office would never alert or assist as to where packages went. If your looking for a place in the uptown area I recommend the Alexan for close to the same amount, very modern, and helpful staff compared to the rude and lazy office staff at uptown anywhere is better.

I enjoy my unit, balcony, and the location of this apartment community very much. That said, the leasing office appears overwhelmed managing ill behavior of residents and local crimes. My bike was stolen from inside a secure area, and while individual staff were friendly and empathetic, no actual changes were made. Burglaries are frequent and management have not implemented additional security measures that could prevent this from happening, and have not given concrete steps to address resident safety other than encouraging individual precautions. Pool has been closed for broken glass and is out of control on weekends and holidays. Vandalism and broken glass in public areas are a frequent occurrence. As management will surely respond for me to reach out- Uptown Square, tell your residents what specifically will be done to increase safety in this complex?Edit 12/19:Management did not notify residents of a parking garage gate being broken since the night of 12/18, and during an in person complaint were uncaring of safety concerns as a barrier to parking in the alternate garage location they provided, saying that they cannot guarantee residents safety at any time. While they cannot control urban crime, Uptown Square could be empathetic and responsive to complaints, install security cameras, and use other preventative security measures. Management staff defaulted to legal definitions of their contractual obligation to providing parking in any garage for $75/month rather than being caring or trying to find a compromise. Uptown Square did not take action after the initial review or complaint about safety, despite their response below.

The neighborhood - bars + restaurants - is great and lively. But with that, comes no sleep. If you’re apartment is facing one of the several alleys that hosts a bar or restaurant with patios (they all do), be prepared to be up until 2am from patio screamers. Not to mention, the workers throwing glass bottles, etc into the trash until 3am. It is a torturous sound that echoes throughout the alleys all night. Then starts the garbage trucks, food delivery, you name it at 6 am. It is a lovely place, but if you want quiet, this is NOT it. I wear ear plugs every night to be now.

Lived here for 2 years. Maintenance crews were always prompt and courteous. Facilities and amenities were well kept. Private security officers on campus are attentive and easy to deal with regarding late night disturbances. Overall the apartments are pretty nice in my opinion.Too bad all of that is ruined by disgusting and annoying residents. No one observes quiet hours and there were a couple times when someones dog left a nice turd in the elevator. Dont be surprised to find empty beer cans strewn about the halls every now and then as well. Management is not fun to deal with. Their communication regarding move-in and move-out procedures is horrendous, and they know it, too.
