Take my advice this is not a place you want to live, I have called about the problem in my bathroom I even went to the office. No one have even came to look at the problem. I was told they have a lot of work orders. Did I Say the knob for the hot water is also broken. This have been going on since June 15th. They are more concerned about what the outside looks like and not the inside. So if someone is reading this and the rest of the reviews believe me they are all true. I wish I had read them before I moved here. This is a picture of the bathroom wall. When they show you an apartment that’s the way it will be when you move in. Even after being told it will all be taken care of before you move in,
If I could give this place a zero I would. They advertise all these amenities like a pool but they’re too worried about towing tenets cars unauthorized and coming into your apartment constantly without you knowing. The people working in the office are rude. There’s has been times on multiple occasions where the office has ignored multiple calls, voicemails, and email. There’s not even a doorknob on our laundry room door anymore because people kept breaking into it and they refuse to do anything about it. We even called the police. This place does not care about your well being, and you will regret living here.
This has been the worst experience of my life living in these apartments. The neighbors are loud and smoke and the office staff is completely incompetent. I highly recommend not living here if I could give zero stars I would. I had rats in my apartment and they did nothing to fix the situation. And every time something broke they told me to go the store to buy the things necessary to fix the problem. Absolutely terrible.
I dont live here but I came across this because Im looking for a new place to live. The photos definitely dont match the reviews.
They really try to make their residents comfortable, theyre not perfect but they really do put forth that effort.
Pool hasnt been usable in 3 years. They will shut off your water or electric for days at a time to reduce the amount of usage since they offer free utilities. Playground has orange cones around it because its dangerous. Maintenance men are convicted felons and have been arrested for robbing tenants apartments.
The apartments are in old condition and they never fix on anything when you call them about a problem. The water for the city of Dekalb is brown and unsafe. DONT MOVE HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO DEAL WITH A LOT OF PROBLEMS.
We had a great time staying there. The leasing office was very helpful - I called them after 5 years to get documents, they went above and beyond to address my needs.
First: this is not me exaggerating, this is just my attempt to tell people things I wish I would have known. From day one, I had multiple issues with my unit and certain staff members. I signed a lease/put deposit down in April for August move in and the unit seemed working and clean. On my scheduled move in day, most appliances were broken, there were feces in my (un-flushable) toilet, the locks on windows and doors were broken and the unit looked like it was trashed and used after I secured the unit. It was unviable and unsafe- delaying my move in by over a week. While living there, water was shut off many times with no notice, there was a bug and wasp problem, and noise issues that were never taken care of. Do not expect a quiet lifestyle as they claim they are. I am a student and doing school work was almost impossible. When I moved out, they tried to charge me fees that were not on the lease and it took over 2 months with many confrontations and emails to get my security deposit back. The only person who helped solve any problems is the manager Krystle- but getting through staff is almost impossible. Also, one of the Staff members, Amit, might get your number and text you about things not related to the apartment complex. Overall, it was not a safe or even livable on bare minimum standards. Do not expect as easy process.
Okay for college students. Decent rent but the apartments need upgrades.
Dont live here my ceiling collapsed in my bathroom the water is brown and u will be dealing with roaches and mold
I don’t know why this place has bad reviews, but honestly you get what you pay for. It’s not a luxurious apartment complex but it’s a roof over your head. I honestly enjoyed staying at suburban apartments. The water was clean and if I wanted warm/hot water... I got it. I was in building 22 and I felt safe.I just want to thank everyone who works there because everyone was so sweet and helpful. Tiffany was just the sweetest and she is so compassionate when it comes to personal problems.I do recommend Suburban Apartments if you need affordable housing since money can be tight. They were also understanding of my 6 month lease which I had to shorten it because of personal problems. But overall, I do recommend it!
Has water issues. Your water is either turned off, brown, or smell like rotten eggs. Trying to get the office to answer or respond to emails is non existent.
Worst place I’ve ever stayed we repeatedly called them to fix things in my apartment. Went without a shower for weeks & when the maintenance naan finally came he didn’t even fix it & he left all his nasty materials in the bathroom. The apartment reeked from the pipes. They would shut off our water without notice multiple times. The carpet is so cheap & matted you can see the bottom of the wall on the top of the carpet. They barely came to fix things or answer our request but had the nerve to call several and come to our house to ask us to sign another lease. We had mold in the bathroom growing & they never came to do anything about. The neighbors downstairs had roaches.
If I could give no stars I would. Worst place to live in DeKalb county!!!! Absolutely awful. Run in ANY direction, but here. Coming from a regretful, current tenant.
VERY NICE AND HELPFUL STAFF.IN ADDITION I DO WANT TO SAY THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN LOOKING BETTER YEAR BY YEAR.GREAT JOB 👍 !!!!
The management here is terrible. When they do something wrong the act like it’s your fault. They would tell you one thing on the phone, but when in person they act like the conversation never happened. Don’t rent here people it’s not worth it. section 8 should pull all resources from this place.
The complex itself is a fantastic place to rent from. Yes, there has been hot water issues in the past however the owners have worked around the clockAnd spent thousands of dollars toAddress the items. They have gone above and beyond for all residents . Clearly the people are making negative reviews need to understand not every item can be addressed at the same time especially when they have higher priorities that need to be addressed first . The owners and entire team are working diligently to address all items.
Management does not care about tenants. The buildings are dirty. They have mice and silverfish. We have had a mold problem in our apartment for months. We had no hot water every other week for months. Our heat broke. Maintenance staff is friendly, but small. Management will not hire more people, and the procedures are shaky at best. They show up unannounced, and no written documentation will show they were there. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE. Its cheap for a reason.
I live here 1 year. Every thing is fine, except move out cleaning charge.First time, I lost all 500 security deposit and paid another 100 . Second time I paid 400 security deposit and another 400 dollars to replace refrigerator. I am still try to talk with them about this ridiculous charge. The swimming pool never ready to use, even they give me pool pass since first day I move in.All their new manager try to do is find any reasons to steal your money. If you want a new apartment, avoid here, trust me.Wrote on 9/23The staff just cant make sure they received check or not. I ask them first time, she said:No, we never received check from you, and I cant understand whats you are talking about. When I found that check already been cashed and ask them again, she is so impatient and after 1 minute she said they received the check. No sorry and no explain, she hang up the phone.Just funny and ridiculous, this is a joke I share with my friends, really..,,,,,,,,, No words to say, I am done with them.
I feel so unsafe sleeping in my apartment the owner just felt the need to walk into my place didn’t ring the bell or knock then today the neighbors who lived next door their door was wide open for hours I’m so Paranoid sleeping her knowing they can walk in at anytime without my permission. Also this water is disgusting the heat was off for entire week while the whether was below zero outside the mangers are disgusting as well they need to move everybody out and fix every apartment this is terrible always I have made a work order due to my sink being clogged up it’s been a month they keep telling me their coming then nobody comes I had a friend fix because the maintenance wasn’t coming out please don’t move here if you looking for a place
Worst place I have ever lived and that is saying a lot for real. They are super horrible about fixing anything including the well water thats constantly stays brown. I had to move from one apartment to another in the first two months of even living here. I had water from it raining 🌧 into my apartment. I had a huge mold problem in the first apartment that it was all over the bathroom under the toilet and all. In my new apartment I have mold between the shower walls in the creases and I also have mold under the toilet in this apartment. And they have the audacity to charge outrageous prices. But i cant take a shower for majority of the day and if I do my skin will burn from yhe water become extra dry and itch for days. So Say No 👎 To Suburban Apartments If You Value your SANITY. The day my lease ends will be the best day of my $@%&€@ LIFE.
Ive been living here less than a year and its ok. I love the space in my apartment and the size of my balcony. Im not sure how safe it is anymore for my family with the police activity going on lately. I do know of a shooting that just took place near the park where my daughter plays and that worried me when i heard the shots. Kept my daughter up as she was scared to go back to sleep after.
Nice living
The pictures of the apartments dont match. The units I saw had odor carpet was not clean the cabinet in the kitchen were old. The balconies were not safe. Those entire units need to be gutted out an done completely over to look like the pictures they got advertised. Just FALSE ADVERTISEMENT...THIS PLACE DONT DESERVE ONE STAR..I WALKED IN AND RAN OUT..IF YOU ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF A PLACE TO STAY DONT GO HERE GO TO A SHELTER.... YOU WILL LIVE MUCH BETTER...💯🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I had a great experience renting from here. There were times where we had to call maintenance for minor issues, but whenever we did they came in a very timely manner. Staff were very polite.
I lived there for four years (2012-2016). This review is long, but worth the read, especially the last point! There are two sections of this complex. One is Suburban Estates. I cant say much for those because I only viewed them during a walk-through. I can say that they looked like typical college apartments both inside and out: old and a little dumpy. Definitely in need of major updates. I lived in the section called Suburban Apartments. The good: The apartments are very spacious and with lots of windows. Appliances, walls, floors, etc were in good shape and fairly up-to-date. The price for the amount of space is great. The back patio is large. The walls and floors seem thick enough - I didnt hear much noise from my neighbors. The parking lots are in bad shape, but there was usually plenty of parking. The bad:1) The maintenance crew is far from ideal. Sometimes they are good, but other times they are terrible. I had an oven that went out and it took almost a week to get a new one. But they did take care of the mold in my bathroom right away. Snow removal is abysmal. They shovel a tiny path on some of the sidewalks and dont bother shoveling others. Then it turns to ice and becomes extremely dangerous. Parking lots are just as bad. And they drive all over the grass, making the grounds look terrible.2) They had water problems often while I was there, having to shut off the hot water, sometimes for days. Oh, and they dont always let you know the water will be turned off. They dont have a good system for notifying tenants of whats happening.3) If you rent a garage, they are in terrible shape. They should be pulled down and rebuilt.4) The downside of the large windows is that it gets cold during the winter. They are single-pane windows and drafty. And the thermostat doesnt go very high. It never got above 60 degrees in the apartment during the winter.5) The office will try to STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! I left my apartment in extremely good condition, according to the lease (management even admitted to it), but they deducted money from my deposit. They tried passing on their cost of getting the apartment ready for the next tenant (normal/general preparation) onto me. I fought it and got my full due money back. My advice is to photograph/videotape everything when you move out. I did and that saved me. Also, it pays to know the state laws of security deposit returns and what not - just Google it. Theyre simple and comprehensible. Management said they always deduct a certain amount from everyones deposit, no matter how clean you leave it. This is illegal. Know your rights!
THE HOT WATER STILL DOES NOT REGULARLY WORK!! There are several times throughout each day that I have no hot water. The office never notifies you in time when they will be shutting off water. I have had so many problems with my apartment that never properly get fixed. I regret living here and suggest you read all the reviews before moving into this run down place.
If my husband and I could give the place 0 stars, we absolutely would. This will be worth the lengthy read, trust me. I get absolutely nothing out of telling you NOT to live here besides the satisfaction that perhaps the better business bureau will shut this FILTHY RUN DOWN SLUM place down one day soon. Probably much like you, we felt super lucky to find a place so affordable and pet friendly. Remember that luck can also be BAD.First things first the bugs. We were lucky enough not to have the roaches like some buildings did (our friends did). We had giant spiders and ants that lived in the bathroom periodically throughout the year. Onto the black mold that lives in every corner. FUN! There are several standing lawsuits currently regarding the brown toxic water and multiple BOIL ALERTS where they very cavalierly insist you boil your water indefinitely for your safety (because thats your responsibility, right?). This issue has been going on for YEARS, mind you. Lets ignore the screaming couples having domestic disputes with police to follow. The beautifully elegant courtyard consists of giant mud piles, un-mowed grass, a broken and hazardous swing set and goose feces. The brochure when we moved in also said there would be a nice pool to enjoy in the summer. In 3 years there was never water in that pool. Even through all of this we were PHENOMENAL tenants: No complaints out of us, always payed our rent on time, and were polite to the ever-revolving turnover of leasing agents in the office that NEVER seemed to stay more than 6 months. P.S. to the office, COURTNEY< JASMINE< RENEE< and DAVE were the best you guys EVER had. You screwed up losing them, because nothing ever got done for us without those people. The final straw for us was when the owner, Shan, who up until this point we have never even met, knocked on our door and had the audacity to berate us about not cleaning up after our dog. Now I realize thats not the best trait as a tenant. But truthfully, it was just past winter, and because this upstanding property rarely salted the sidewalks and I slipped... because they let people throw an inordinate amount of trash near the dumpster and I stepped on a rusty nail through my shoe and had to get a tetanus shot....I said screw it. They are partly responsible for my safety and if they dont ensure that or take pride in their own property, why should I risk getting hurt walking all the way to the dumpster?! That place is a dumpster! This man ARGUED with us and told me to Stop speaking to him because I was a woman and he was talking to my husband. Typical foreign chauvinistic mindset. Neither one of us would have it any longer.Lastly we were told that our initial pet deposit was refundable. 2 years in, they tried to tell us that it wasnt until we fought them tooth and nail and referred to a copy of our lease. Upon receiving our security deposit we realized it was short because math is hard. I had to go back and ask for the rest of my money among a crowd of angry former tenants in the office. I promise you it will not be worth the hassle or the headache. PS, because they have almost no employees, good luck getting anyone on the phone or any maintenance issues to be resolved in a reasonable time frame. I know of more than one person who has experienced a break in and have heard several theories that they strongly feel it was an inside job as they couldnt prove any forced entry. Pay a little bit more and live with a shred of dignity elsewhere. You will be happy in the grand scheme of things to avoid this nightmare that is Suburban Estates. Id rather risk my life in the village commons than live here another year. Good riddance and I hope you get shut down sued to the last penny.
We had to repeatedly tell them we were moving out. Everytime we did, we would get a call about if we are renewing our lease. You have a legal right to do the move out walk through, they made it so we werent there when they did it. You will not get your deposite back, nor will they use the money for any repairs or cleaning. They called every day if we were renewing but after we moved out they never called about our deposit like they told us they would. No one works in the office for long as they are made to carry out immoral practices so you see a new face every month you go to pay rent. They break in without telling you to do repairs that you called for. Its horrifying. Dont live here. Its a shame because under legit management of anyone who cares, these apartments would be beautiful and a great place to live.
This place should be condemned. Not only do they put bandaids over major repair work, yet the management staff only cares about their rent check, which by the way is too high for what you get. I had a broken window and was told we will repair when you move out when I wasnt planning on moving out. Google maintenance worker stealing at Suburban Apartments and you will see how shady the people they employ are. If you have the smallest amount of self respect, DO NOT live here.
The only good I can say about Suburban is, it has good outside view with plenty outside space, but from there the good things are hard to come by.The water system is horrible. The color of the water looks like it just came straight from the river; the color resembles human piss when the body is dehydrated. Flies, mosquitoes, bugs are aplenty and the a/c has its own control and rarity works.Suburban needs take accountability and fix these issues. With the rent charge they placing on tenants, they should be able to afford it. At some point ethics should come into play but idk that’s just my take
I really love my apartment. Its wide and spacious with a gigantic living room and bedroom. I have a delightful balcony with a very safe railing. My kitchen is tiny with very little counter space and no microwave. One of the burners on my stove is a little wonky. But the apartment itself, overall is great.Over the past year though, they have turned the water off for my building at least five times, if not more. After the get the water turned back on, they have to get it tested. Sometimes this took up to two weeks. During those two weeks you were not allowed to drink or cook with the water unless it was boiled first. This largely appeared to be the apartment complex refusing to communicate with the county or the residents.Additionally, the maintenance man for the building when I first moved in was completely incompetent. Not only were there many minor repairs that hadnt been dealt with before I moved in, there were also things that cropped up in the first month. My toilet especially. Here are some examples of his incompetence:-He changed a dead light bulb out with another dead light bulb.-He painted my front door white but it is covered in streaks and you can still see the raw wood through the paint.-He tried to blame me for my toilet breaking when the issue was something hed caused the last time hed come to repair it.Recently, we appear to be under new management. Since the new owner took over there have been changes. Some are good and some are bad.The good:-Weve had less problems with water.-They are communicating with the residents. (This included proof that the water was within safe standards by county testing.)-They reopened the pool that the old management was considering closing for good.-They hired new and more maintenance people.-The current maintenance people are fantastic and know what theyre doing.-The landscape looks much better. The bad:-The charge you $75 if you lock your keys in your apartment.-The pool that was supposed to be open was closed more often than not. (This was largely due to residents bringing glass bottles and getting glass in the pool. It was too expensive to keep cleaning it out three times a week.)-The prices of the apartments went up a significant amount.Overall, Im pretty happy with my experience here. Its not super high class, but its not the worst living situation either. You get a livable balcony if youre on a higher floor and nicely sized living room. Your neighbors will be quiet and there have been no shootings in the area (unlike most of the rest of the apartments and townhouses near the university.) The new management will price gouge you hard, but theyre also making the place better.
These apartments are disgusting. The manager and staff are rude people who don’t wish to better their business or make a solid living for their tenants. The water is muddy, the a/c doesn’t work, there is no one ethical to talk to and I’m pretty sure I would have gotten a skin cancer from bathing in the showers any longer. Please do better Suburban Apartments
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Signed a 12 month lease, this being my first apartment i didnt want to go through the hassle of finding another place so fast, and regret is an understatement. I am by no means a picky person but this place is just endlessly awful. The toilet leaks so the floor around the toilet is always soaked, there is BLACK MOLD all over the window frame in the bedroom, theres mold in the bathroom above the bathtub, there were A LOT of bugs upon moving in, they think they can fix a hole in the wall with duct tape, and the problems just never end. But wait! The neighbors! The neighbors are just lovely and enjoy playing loud music all day and night and do things such as take the name tags out of your mailbox and switch it onto other mailboxes or KEY YOUR CAR FOR NO REASON. Yeah. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else to live. I cant stress that enough. Complete waste of money.
This place is so damn terrible. It needs major improvement, buildings need to be knock down, it smells, the showings are terrible.I hated my entire walk thru experience. They expect so much when the place is downhill. It’s a project if you ask me. Don’t waste your money here!!
This is the worst place to move to in Dekalb. I graduated last week, to come back to my apartment with things stolen and everything destroyed. All management did was leave a note. Im hurt and upset my first apartment experience went this way. ITS HORRIBLE NOT TO MENTION THE WATER !! NEGATIVE ZERO
The apartment was shoddily renovated at move-in. Baseboards missing, doors & knobs filthy, holes in walls taped over & barely painted, and Ive had plumbing problems for years that they pretend to want to fix, but refuse to. The last (third!) maintenance guy told me Dont worry about the plumbings loud knocking in the walls. I wish theyd try sleeping with this noise and just not worry about it. Now there is low water pressure so theyve suddenly banned tenants from flushing condoms & tampons. What toilet cant handle those? And you have to flush three times for anything to go down. Floorboards creak. Walls are paper thin and neighbors are obnoxiously loud. The pet fee is outrageous! The kitchen and living room floor boards are so cheap that they buckle and separate. The bath water runs Sprite-can-green on a regular day, and Mountain-Dew-yellow on a good one. The well water (not managements fault) will destroy your Pür filter completely in three weeks flat. I also cant get my library card renewed because they said this complex doesnt pay DeKalb taxes. They also DO NOT SHOVEL. We were once told to shovel 9 of snow from our own steps & walkways. Heaven forbid I have granny over or a guest on crutches in the winter. We had our rooves redone and the workers dumped their packaging & garbage on my patio, got cords tangled in my bike and broke the bikes handlebars & brakes when they snatched the cords back. And get used to the house centipedes. They also take too long to cash rent checks and rarely clean the premises.Pros: Water heats up right away. No waiting. Ive only had one single issue with the laundry facilities. No need to respond, SA. I already know the spiel.
I have just recently moved in i have not even been there for a month yet and i have had nothing but problems. First off when i moved in several things were broke. And second i have a non stop problem with bugs mostly ants they keep coming back. I do not believe i should have to pay full rent if they cant fix thier problems i am beyond pissed do not move here at all.
This place is gross. Literally. Mold everywhere. Water damage, bugs, BROWN WATER because theyre too cheap to change their 60 year old pipes. Water shuts off all together at least once a month. An office manager who is drunk most of the time. Property owners who dont give a f about their tentants and like to argue and curse people out instead of finding a solution to the problem. Did i mention mold and the rusty brown water that stains your tub and toilet bowl?? Or the horrible maintenance men that couldnt screw in a light bulb. Well, the puerto rican guys are cool but the rest are a joke. Or the fact that the 8 months my friend has been here no one has come to spray for the 100000 spiders you kill a day. I mean, it could be bed bugs so shouldnt complain about spiders, right? People only leave these reviews because the owners are true slum lords. They are here for the money, nothing more. Do your self a favor. You might be down on your luck and need a place to move now. Look else where because nothing good will come from signing a lease here. Youve been warned 😘
Get ready to live with cockroaches
Never, and I mean NEVER, EVER EVER EVER live here! Ive lived here for a little over 3 months, and so far Ive been without electricity 3 times and hot water for a total of a month out of the 3. When I called to complain, I was yelled at. No compensation or discount for going so long without hot water. Im calling the city to complain. This place needs to be shut down or the owner needs to be made accountable!
Oh where to begin. House parties until 4am...nightly..so loud you can clearly hear the words from each song played, to where my walls vibrate and items on my table shake.Vehicle Damage/theft. Cost over $1000.00 to fix the damage done to my girlfriends car, and someone has decided its ok to trot through the parking lot and steal gas from out of the cars, for the 8th time in the past year... Staff has changed 3 or 4 times since Ive been here, no real issues with them. But the tenants are enough to recommend looking elsewhere. Finally had enough and am writing a review to hopefully steer other people away so they dont end up dealing with the shenanigans that weve had to endure. Authorities have been contacted several times and nothing has changed. I strongly advise seeking another place to live, the cheap rent isnt worth the b.s that comes with it.
Horrible place to live. They have rotting pipes from the 60s that they dont want to replace so expect brown rusty water. And i wouldnt allow your pets to drink it. My puppy had multiple UTIs from it. Also they have a very rude and nasty Secretary named Katrina who will will make you dread going in to pay youre rent every month. Long story short is this place is horrible. Its not worth the rent they charge. Im now paying only 40 dollars more than before and get way more including safe drinkable water finally.
I beg you to look around before you choose where to live. I thought this place was the only in my budget and didnt believe the comments at first. The water has been brown from the toilet, shower and sink. They keep saying they will fix it but its been almost a year. I broke out awhile back and never use the water ther. Had to go over friends house just to take a shower and get water. They walk in when ever. Janitor had a key to my place talking about he thought no one lived here. Didnt even knock to make sure.Had feces water in my bathroom run down from the ceiling took the janitors over a week to come after i been calling.Burglaries through out the complex that has not been reported. And its funny bc some of the burglaries looks as if someone had a key.My neighbor window got broken out so she moved. The police came but the management company didnt send no alert out.The complex has no cameras. No safety. They are cheap with the heat. Even on high it feels like air. My last straw was when they had an attitude about me asking for clean water.Their are other cheaper places just look around. If i knew now what i knew then. Smh
Update:November 1st the water and heat work after months. The owner responded below to call them, but heres the thing. I had called multiple times prior to writing this review and all I got was itll be fixed next week. It wasnt until I threatened to file some sort of complaint that I finally got some sort of break on my rent for this month. Unless they can refund me months of rent because they broke the terms of the lease, calling again will be useless. I am leaving this place for good.Honestly im sick and tired of it so I finally decided to write a review. I moved in here in august. Water pressure was weak, but it was livable and I had hot water. Place seems to have an issue with bugs getting in, could be from the screens on the windows being bad i dont know, but not the biggest deal in the world so I didnt say anything. Although reading reviews below does seem to indicate a bug problem with these units. Anyways, starting in september the issues with the water started. First it would be just extremely weak water pressure but the hot water would still be fine. (So weak that the shower was more of a dripping faucet) Then starting in the second week of september I would be lucky to have hot water. I would wake up and hope today i had hot water and some water pressure. More often than not there was no hot water at all combined with the weak water pressure. Everytime I would call i would get the same response. It will be fixed by the end of this week. So I kept believing them! It gets even better! So it was cold one day so I decided to turn on the heat because thats what you do when its cold. Nope! Heat doesnt work either. So I call and they say the heat will be on next week they are turning it on building by building. It is now almost november and there is still no heat or hot water. Two things the lease guarantees by the way! I put two and two together and the heat is actually tied to the hot water system so one wont work without the other. The buildings have a wall AC unit that has a heat function so the company recommended me to use that in the meantime. Also, they are providing space heaters in the office. After finally threatening to complain they gave my half off my rent for this month after emailing who I think may be the owner or property manager. It has just been so frustrating living here I have never experienced something like this and I hope I never will again. I honestly just feel like this all could have been handled so much better. I must have heard that, the problems will be fixed by the end of this week so many times its nuts. I get the people in the office probably didnt know better they were just going off of the information they were told so this review isnt about them. The people at the office are the best thing about this company so far as they have always been understanding even though they couldnt really help. Why couldnt this work have been done in the summer? Lets make sure our tenants have no hot water or heat right when winter is about to start. This week we were updated that everything will be fixed by november 1st but i highly doubt it. Maybe once these problems are fixed this place will be the perfect place to live! But not with me living there. I am sick and tired of it and will be moving to the other various companies in dekalb who provide much more for the same or less rent-wise as soon as my lease is up.
Have you had enough of being treated like a human?Do you want the great outdoors, indoors?Where you always trying to find that perfect abandoned house look to tuck away into?Look no further! With Suburban Apartment of DeKalb your treated as an ant in an ant farm! Weren’t they fun as children?!But wait, there’s more! You can now boil your water on a regular over open fire inside why’ll you begin your exploration for the bathroom in complete darkness…Just like the great outdoors! With all the bugs you’ll find inside your home, you’ll think it’s always summer year around! Now let’s talk about those esthetics that we all know are sooo important! Who doesn’t love the vacated since 1980s look? Keeps all the rich looking snobs away and the strong protective folk that like to wander outside my building all day close by. They look so strong, I bet they’re the new neighborhood watch everyone’s been requesting for!Welcome to the Suburban Jungle, your neighbors are afraid to welcome you!
Maintenance work is very bad once you sign the lease.... the kitchen drawers are missing for over 2 months now.....
The worst apartments by far in Dekalb. Dont live here. Water turns off without warning. 2-3 times a week. Heating issues dont resolve. Terrible management. So many issues here heres no wonder why theres a current lawsuit against them. Spend your money somewhere else.
A mixture of bad experience and good experience. But its alright, overall
Cockroaches were a huge problem
Do not move here
Just a heads up. If you owe ANY balance on your account by the end of the month they WILL tow your car. Brown water broken appliances no maintenance to help. They dont take calls and they close whenever they want. You got better luck at 808 ridge than this place. If you value your sanity (and your car) dont live here.
