We called Messiah Heating & Air on Labor Day and they had an AC technician to our house inside of two hours. Not only did they provide a short term solution to get our AC running while we wait for a part to ship, but they also gave us the lowest price across the board. The folks from Messiah Heating & Air have been so kind and helpful, and even called the next day to make sure our AC was running well.We will definitely use them moving forward and recommend whole heartedly that you do, too.

Excellent speedy service. Our AC unit needed to be repaired and it was over 90 degrees. I called Messiah that morning and they arrived that afternoon. Came out on a Sunday when our AC crashed during a heat wave. When they came out to repair the following day, there were several obstacles that they went above and beyond to take care of. Fair pricing and great work. Would definitely recommend!

Ben really saved the day! I had guests arriving in four hours when my AC decided to fail. Ben not only came out on a Sunday within an hour of calling, but diagnosed and fixed the problem in time to get the house cool again before our guests arrived. He was very personable, and professional and charged a very fair rate considering it was a Sunday and he had to replace a blown transformer. I will definitely be using Messiah for any other HVAC issues I may run into and will be scheduling them for our maintenance going forward as well.

We are first time homeowners and reached out to Ben after our 16 year old AC unit showed signs of breaking down.Ben responded immediately and sent Chris out to assess the situation. Chris provided us a very reasonable quote on the spot and the team was replacing the unit and coil the next day.There was a leak in the coil (manufacturers fault) and Ben has his team out immediately to replace the coil at no cost. They even replaced the air ducts as I mentioned air flow was low!Would recommend Messiah to anyone and will continue to use them for my HVAC needs!

Update (6/30/21): had a great experience a few months ago with this service. However recently tried to engage and communication was poor and there was attitude when we asked for clarification of what was inspected (as we had concerns with the external system and internal vents etc). I felt like I was being quickly rushed off the phone and was told to communicate via text. Additionally, I had to reach out when necessary follow-up wasn’t provided. Really wanted to continue working with Ben and his team but he stated he could be selective with who he decides to work with, then proceeded to cancel future appointments and offered a refund (which we didn’t ask for and were happy to pay for work done). Would not recommend based on this recent interaction.Note: we inquired early morning for having someone inspect later that evening and were very understanding if Ben and team could not accommodate. However it was communicated to us that it would be done without any indication of issue.Previous Review (2/9/21): Ben was quick and responsive! Called late at night and he came as promised 6am the next morning. Helped us resolve issues with incorrect wiring and blown fuse resulting in heat/AC failure. Very knowledgeable and professional. Will definitely be working with him again should we need it!

I Called Ben shortly before 9 PM on Friday night and he was here at 9 AM Saturday morning and fixed our air conditioner. It was a great relief because we had a large family gathering planned for the next day.

We called with an AC problem about 5PM and a service tech was at our house by 8AM the next morning.I was surprised that we could get help so fast. I have heard stories from neighbors about waiting days to get service. Minor problem. Fixed within minutes with a part on the truck.

Messiah was responsive immediately on a weekend to our AC not turning on. The technician realized it was both electrical and a leak immediately. He solved the electrical issue at no extra charge. I knew I needed a new AC unit . He promptly filled the unit with Fluid to get us through the Saturday and Sunday night and delivered and installed the new unit on Monday morning. They were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their services!

Great service and great social distancing! Our AC quit cooling on a Sunday night and they were able to come out in under 30 minutes. They were very good about social distancing —the repair man fixed the unit outside our house and I didn’t even have to come out of the house for the repair or payment. And even if I had needed to, he came prepared with a mask etc. Great service. Will definitely use again.

Technician came out && went around to look at the a/c unit came back in the house looked at the thermostat && said simply said he couldn’t fix anything w/o knowing which unit was ours . He told us once WE figure out which unit is ours then we can call back && have someone come out instead of having us turn the unit off while he was outside w/the a/c units to figure out which one was ours …. Very unprofessional WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN

DO NOT USE this company! WORST customer service ever. Installed a new AC unit and did not properly reconnect the drain line. Created a leak and then blamed it on us said it was a clogged line. His own tech said it wasnt a clogged line. Lesson learned. I will never use nor recommend to anyone. Will yell at you over the phone and wont let you get a word in. Even threatened me. Will be suing to recoup damages.

I cant say enough good things about Ben and his team! Ben promptly arrived early in the morning with a brand new unit ready to install. They worked hard to accommodate all of my scheduling and travel woes and I couldnt be more grateful for how flexible and understanding the guys were to help me get everything fixed. They took the time to really teach and explain everything to me and I was so impressed with their level of professionalism and overall accommodating and generous nature. I would highly recommend them to anyone having problems with their heating or air.

He arrived on time but was Not the friendliest and over priced. He had Attitude when explaining cost . I could have gone with the commercial businesses but wanted to support black owned! Good Customer Service is key which was not the case. I would not recommend this business.

We had a great experience with Messiah HVAC! They were our second opinion after the first company we called told us we needed a new furnace after spending 5 minutes assessing the problem. The Messiah team took their time to diagnose and were able to repair for under $500. Such a relief! Cant say enough about these guys. Very happy with this company. They first came out over a year ago to check my AC--the unit was old and inefficient, but at the time replacement simply wasnt an option for me. No hard sell, just friendly and helpful--and they did give me the best price for replacement of the several companies that came out. At Thanksgiving, my heat went out completely and I knew it was time to bite the bullet and replace it. The financing I got through Messiah was a lifesaver. They came out within a couple of days, replaced it all within a few hours, and threw in a new thermostat on the house. Now my place is super cozy and I know that what Ill end of saving on electric and gas bills will make it all worth it. Very pleased with the service, the friendliness and the efficiency!Update: love this company even more. My elderly stepfather who is in assisted living lockdown owns a rental unit in my area. Twice Messiah has come out for repairs and they’ve always shown up within a few hours and handled them easily and inexpensively. Very trustworthy and very reliable. I always try to use locally owned, small businesses and Messiah is the perfect example of why.

Do yourself a favor and dont use this company. We were told our five year old air conditioner needed to be replaced. We hired this company and trusted our project would be handled with professionalism and by experts.One month after installation the unit started to leak and cause damage to our insulation, drywall and electrical fixtures.We called the owner at 8pm on Sunday and he answered but immediately became angry that we called on Sunday and became lousy defensive about our complaint. He refused to listen to our description of what was happening. We hung up the phone shocked at how he handled the call. He called back to say he would send someone in the morning.Despite his anger, we still allowed his worker to return to our home to check out our complaint. His worker told me that the pvc pipe was not angled properly during installation of the new unit. He promptly repaired the pipe without charge and referred me back to the owner when I asked about the resulting damage.The owner angrily refuted what his worker told us and said it was not his responsibility to flush or alter the drain lines, even though he installed a new unit. We were not charged for the additional work, which led us to believe the installation was not done correctly and they should be responsible for the the damage. He outright refused to pay for any repairs.

I called Messiah late on Sunday night and Mr. Ben Parrish answered the phone. I explained that my unit was frozen up(I had gone outside to check it out) and that it was hot inside my house. He said that he could come out first thing in the morning-I was disappointed that he couldnt come that night and expressed that-but he explained that I needed to turn my fan to the on position so that the unit could thaw out. He said that it wouldnt benefit me for him to charge me for a visit when he wouldnt be able to do anything. How refreshing to have an honest repair man!He said he would see me in the morning and that he did- I have a 20 year old AC unit and although he suggested replacing the unit for a very reasonable price-I asked if we could fix this one as I might be moving in the next year or so. He said no problem and researched finding a replacement motor for my system...by the way there was only ONE in the entire state of Georgia! He made the company actually put their hands on the motor and pull it to the side so that he could drive to get it so that he could get me up and running by today.Mr. Ben arrived first thing this morning and had the motor replaced and the unit recharged with freon in under an hour. My house is cooling off and has colder air than it has had in a while. I do not do with being hot very well so in addition to being thankful for a great repair service and am grateful for knowing that we and all our fur babies will be sleeping peacefully going forward.I cannot give more than 5 stars but if I could-I definitely would. This company and its owner have the best attitude and work ethic that I have seen in a long time. I would tell anyone reading reviews to STOP LOOKING!!!! Messiah should be your one and only stop-they offer reasonable pricing and above and beyond service. You cant ask for more!

The service was amazing! I initially made an appointment, but they were able to accommodate my schedule change and come out earlier with no problem. My system was blowing warm air, and the technician was able to diagnose the issue quickly and repair in less than 30 mins. Overall, I am very satisfied and the cost was very reasonable.

AMAZING service! We arrived home at 6 pm on Mothers Day Sunday to discover one of our air conditioning units was broken. On the hottest day of the year. We called Messiah Heating and Air Conditioning and their response was be there in 15 minutes. And they were. And then they diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 10 minutes or less so we were able to keep our 7 pm dinner reservation and come home to an air conditioned house. We will use them again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend you do the same! Im not sure any other company in the city would have gone above and beyond like Messiah did. Fantastic experience: extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and courteous.

I had a great experience with Messiah Heating and Air. They installed a brand new heating and A/C system. Ben was very professional, courteous, timely and most of all did a great job taking out the old unit and replacing it with a new heating and a/c unit. I am a stickler for professional, so I am glad to say that the work that was done was most efficient. They arrived on time and worked diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. I am satisfied with the job that was done and highly recommend this company. This is an honest company who cares about meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

I would still recommend Messiah for their speed, but I cant recommend them for thoroughness.----------Extremely rapid response time - my furnace stopped working on a Saturday in January but Ben at Messiah was there 2 hours after I placed my call. If I had chosen a competitor they would have come by on Monday - 48 hours later! Ben was courteous and quick, found the broken part immediately, and replaced it on the spot - all for a competitive price.In short, my wife and I are extremely happy with our experience with Ben and Messiah Heating & Air, and plan to call them in the future for any issues we have with our HVAC. We had our AC go out during the first heatwave of 2019. It got up to 95 in the house. We were recommended by Total Protect to use Messiah HVAC. Our technician Chris came in and wasted no time in diagnosing the issue, fixed it and was on his way in 50 minutes flat. He wasn’t trying to sell me a new system, tell me how old it is or say he couldn’t fix it. He did what needed to be done. We appreciate that and will use them again as needed. Kudos Chris.

One of my tenants called me late one night indicating that the furnace was out. She called Messiah (along with a number of others), and Messiah was the only one that responded. They came out first thing, and indicated that we needed to replace the furnace. They were able to do it the same day, and she had heat again later that afternoon.I would highly recommend them. Efficient, Great Communications, Saved the Day! Recently we awoke to a drip, drip, drip from our attic A/C system. Messiah was extremely prompt and made multiple trips to our home, two of which were on a weekend. They explained the coolant leak and the coil failure and were a huge help! In the middle of these visits, the power went out due an unrelated storm. The guys from Messiah did what they could until the power was restored and came back 2 hours later. We really appreciate their professional service and super fast response time.

I would recommend this business to anyone. My air conditioning unit was leaking water inside my apartment. Called first thing in the morning and Ben was there within a couple of hours, and had the problem fixed right away! He was professional and the price was very reasonable, especially given that he had it fixed so quickly! We had an outstanding experience with the Decatur Messiah Heating and Air and Ben Parrish. Our HVAC went out Christmas Eve and Mr. Parrish offered to come over right then, but we didnt want anyone out on Christmas Eve, so he came over the day after. I was in a frenzy trying to find someone last minute to fix my AC on the weekend and he came out at 8:30 pm when no one else could, in the dark with his phone light, he easily fixed my problem. He explained step by step what he was doing and assured me that if I had any problems, that he wold be even willing to come back on Sunday to check it out again. Great customer service is hard to come by, thats why Im definitely going to keep them on speed dial if I ever have another problem. I hugly recommend their services.

What they did to my HVAC system on June 17th did not fix my problem. I had to have someone else come out to fix it again 3 weeks later.The natural average for a QuickStart is 60$ and the average for the capacitor battery y’all added was below $60. They charged me a total of $250 for both - a short term fix. The people i had come out after did something completely different and told me what they did was unnecessary.Spoke with my home warranty company and this company overcharged the hell out of me.8 months pregnant and I went out my way to support a black business and i get ripped off. Never fails ....

Our upstairs AC went out in the middle of night. Woke up at 7:30 called Messiah and they said theyd be here by 10:00. Ben arrived at 9:00 assessed the situation, made repairs and was out by 9:30. He did a great job. Not once did I feel he was recommending service that was above what I needed. Service charge and parts pricing was extremely fair.We have dealt with three or four different AC service companies over the past three years and Messiah was by far the BEST. No question I will call him.

His place is a joke! They kept me waiting all day and then was over 2 hours late. Tell me that the problem is just replacing the compressor but want to sell me an entire $6000 system. I ask for the compressor to be fixed only and the OWNER tells the tech no they wont replace just the compressor, I can call someone else of my warranty company. They dont want to provide a service unless you want to replace everything. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Please read this genuine review before calling!!This company (if you want to call it that) has been the worst ever customer experience that I have ever had. Ben came out to diagnose a unit that was getting no heat. We were told that we needed a new unit, which we knew already from prior companies who told us this before. We signed up to pay $4800 for a new unit, it has been a nightmare since . This company has had to come out (reluctantly) 8 times since then, BECAUSE WE STILL HAVE COLD AIR. First the incompetent workers said they left refrigerant out of the system because it was to cold to put more in, (that was a lie), then the next time the heating strips were not connected (What? How?), the next two times the wiring wasnt correct according to them (that was a lie). After coming home on the 26th (day after Christmas) they replaced the thermostat 4 different times it still doesnt work. So at this point, its time to pay the professional (well known) companies for a diagnostic, and see whats really going on. After having those companies came out of course Ben didnt know what he was doing comes to find out. The installation was terrible, I cannot disclose any of the problems that were really wrong, because we are in the process of going through legal matters, but the system was not set up to be efficient, rendering the new system as a brick. Just know there was about 4 things that this company made a mistake on.Bad customer service examples :I own a service based business, and I know sometimes you run into problems, its not about the mistake, its about how you deal with it.- he had an attitude for us calling over night (his business is listed as 25 hours)- He over talks you and does not let you get one word in- He deflected responsibility and put it on the not included thermostat. Who puts in a system and complains about putting in a $30 thermostat?- He hung up on us 5 times- His workers left the site without fixing our issue because we asked, do you know what your doing? (After they had been out more than 6 times- He told us he was done with us even though there is a two year warranty on parts and labor- After a month of having the system, he tells us call the manufacturerWow, if you go with this company, you are making a big mistake and you can expect to have terrible problems if you have an extensive issue. The finNce company refunded my money. We have video of them leaving and phone conversation, he is making up things about verbal assaults and threats. He is literally ignorant thinking we wouldnt get our money back. Estes is in my house right now doing my installation correct..

I highly recommend this company, Ben and his team did a fantastic job! Our townhomes rooftop HVAC unit finally failed after multiple unsuccessful repairs by another company, and after Ben inspected it, he had his team at our home within just a few days, and they installed a new unit that works great. The team of workers was friendly and professional. After they needed to make a hole in our bathroom wall, Ben very promptly scheduled a drywall repair and two days later our wall looked better than it had before the installation!

My regular A/C company did a summer inspection for my condo A/C; they said everything was fine. Three days later, on a Friday night, the A/C goes on the fritz. I called my regular A/C company the next morning and they were too busy to come out. I called Messiah right after that and talked to Ben. He was there by 12:00 noon and promply found two problems with my A/C. He was able to fix the issues, thankfully. We discussed options and because my A/C is 14 years old I decided to have Messiah install a new A/C unit and air handler. They will be installing the new equipment on Monday and it safe to say I have found a new HVAC company. I would recommended Messiah to anyone that who may be in need of a great HVAC company!*. *. *. *. *Messiah installed my new HVAC unit last week and I am very satisfied. I have always expected three important aspects of any A/C company that I choose to due business with: great customer service, knowledgeable technicians and a fair price for their services. Messiah checked off all of those boxes. If you need a HVAC repair or a new HVAC unit, call Ben; you will not be dissapointed.

We had an excellent experience with Messiah Heating and Air. When we discovered on a Saturday evening that our system was blowing air but not cold air, we called Messiah and left a message. Our call was returned within minutes and Ben, the owner, came out himself to our house on a Saturday evening within 2 hours. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 15 minutes. Excellent, professional service. Thanks, Ben! We will call on you again if we experience difficulties.

Messiah is one of the best home vendors youll ever experience. Professional, prompt and efficient! I was moving into my home on a Saturday morning when I noticed the heat was not coming on despite all my thermostat adjustments. I called Messiah at 8:05, they were at my house by 9. Do you hear me? Within the hour is practically unheard of! Mr. Ben was knowledgeable and quick. He diagnosed the issue, ran to his truck to get the part and resolved it within 30 mins. Probably 5 minutes but we spent 25 mins talking. ☺ He even programmed my thermostat for the week, before he left. He emailed me an invoice and I paid by card. Smooth, fast and efficient. If I could give more stars, I would. Thank you Messiah for a job well done on a super chilly Decatur morning!

We were having a party at our house on this past Sunday. It was going to be incredibly hot. My wife called several companies at 3am in the morning. Ben was at our house at 8am that morning and had resolved the problem before we left to go to church. My house was not a sweat box and I was not overcharged for his quick turnaround. I highly highly recommend him.

No idea why they have a 4 star rating. Came to my house unprepared without a ladder after I explained where HVAC was located. Came the next day with a ladder, didnt fix the problem (had to hire someone else) charged me $80 and then owner said he would reimburse me for my trouble and never did.Service was 8/20/19 would never recommend them.

Thank you Ben! My AC went out last night and we have a 9 month old baby. Other companies I called said they couldnt come until the next day in the afternoon, but Ben was able to get to my place within 1 hour and fix the problem within 30 minutes. Ben with Messiah Heating and Air Conditioning responded to my early morning call after my heating unit was not working. He came out, assessed the issue, advised me on the issue and cost. He came back, as promised, with the replacement part. Stayed to ensure the heating unit was working properly and told me to call if there are any further issues. Great customer service too.
