The air condition upstairs in my 89-years-old mother-in-laws house was not working. Called these shiesters and they sent a guy to fix it. It needed freon, so he put in $490 worth of freon at noon, and she wrote him a check. By five oclock, the air conditioning was again not working. So called them and they said theyd send someone out. That technician told us there was a massive leak in the system and it all would have to be replaced. He said there would be no charge for that service. My mother-in-law decided that since it was so late in the season, she would wait and replace it ($4,000) next Spring.They called today and told her they were charging her $250 for the second service call and if she didnt pay it immediately, they were sending her to collections. These guys are not honest or fair. Find someone else.
Huge fan of TICA. I heard about these guys through word of mouth. I used them to replace my furnace and air conditioner. I got two other estimates from contractors in the Champaign-Urbana area and TICA was significantly more affordable. The owner Bob Wilson came over the next day after I called them to spec out replacement hardware. He recommended upsizing my AC slightly and I couldn’t be happier. My house has never been this comfortable. Bob also helped me troubleshoot and limp along my failing AC over the phone for free during one of the hottest weeks of the year while I waited for the replacement hardware to come in. The two guys that did the install did a nice job, were really skilled, honest and personable. Glad I found this company and highly recommend them!
Worst hvac company they installed the wrong size unit in my house and the evap and condenser aren’t even the same size. Never hire them.
The first tech that came out spent about 20min looking at my furnace that wasnt working - he then said i needed a part that had to be ordered for $495 and i had to pay $86 for him coming out (the minimum hourly service fee)-- he left the unit running and left the cover off. I called to was told to turn it off and he probably left the cover off because he was planning on coming back the next day to repair? The next day a different guy came and I only needed a $88 ignitor - guess Im super lucky someone came that knew what they were doing. I however have also had bad luck with them in the past trying not to honor a 10yr warranty on my air conditioning unit -- buyer beware

Tica was amazing. They were able to fix a stubborn leak in my forced-water heating system. They were always on time, very responsive, and very professional. They never gave up, were resourceful and thoughtful.They were able to repair a tough problem. I was very impressed.

Trustworthy. Gave them extra key to house for the 2days they would be there. Cleaned up after themselves, all staff I delt with were very friendly and professional. So happy I decided to go with Tica to install all new heating/air in a house I’m renovating. Will definitely be using them for all future HVAC needs

Made an appointment with a 2 hour window, arranged our day around it. With 10 min left in the window we called. They were too busy and werent going to make it out. Busy is fine, but I dont appreciate having to call a business to find up why they didnt show as scheduled. They did offer to still come out today- for $50 an hour extra. Didnt bother to reschedule the appointment.
At first I was concerned because this was a company that we had to use due to us going through our home warranty for repairs. But, they were great. Our technician, John, called us first thing on the day we were scheduled for repair. He was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Within an hour, our air was fixed and he was on his way. I would definitely recommend Tica to others
Furnace went out. Thankfully we have a home warranty. When I called Tica they asked if I needed them right away and would pay after hours. After I informed them that I had a home warranty I was informed they couldnt come til the end if next week. They will only come after hours if its not a home warranty very disappointed. Only cares about the $ sign.

We had a horrible experience with another Company for over a year on a brand new unit. After our new ac unit went out on July 3rd we decided we were done messing with the other Company and my husband called Tica. They came out the same day told us what we needed, called with our quote and was out installing our new units the following week. Professional from start to finish. Highly recommend Tica and will continue doing business with them.

Made an appointment 10 days ago as a first time customer to review our A/C and heating in an older home we recently purchased. Live out of town and Thursday was the only day we were going to be around. Waited for three hours Thursday afternoon before they called and cancelled our appointment. Will have to find another option in Decatur that is interested in our business.

On Monday May 12, Tica came out to find out what was wrong with our AC unit. We needed a new motor that had to be ordered. Technician called Monday May 19 and said he would be out Wednesday morning on the 21st to install. I took off work for the morning to wait for him. Called Tica at 7:30am and confirmed tech would be there in the AM. Heard nothing by 11am. Called again and they said he would be there by early afternoon. Received a call from tech also that he would be there in the early afternoon. Still no call/no show. I called again at 330 to the office and they couldnt reach the tech but said if he said he would be there in the early afternoon, he would. By 5pm, the tech was not responding to our voicemails and had never shown up. Called the office/answering service to speak the manager. Owner Bob Wilson called us and said he didnt know what was going on but obviously the tech had tried to stop by or call and we werent home. I had NEVER left the house nor had the tech bothered to call to say he wasnt coming. After many back and forth calls between Bob Wilson and my husband and I he said the tech had left early to go to his sons soccer game and that it would just have to be installed in the morning. He never apologized once and continued to blame it on circumstances out of his control. I wasted an entire day off of work and will NEVER use Tica again. We had to wait over a week and a half for them to install the new motor and no apologies for no call/no show and the owner was condescending. TERRIBLE BUSSINESS PRACTICES
The NEW AC unit & coils that were just installed in my home on July 18th 2016 has stopped working twice this weekend! The lines keep freezing and when I contacted TICA, the man who finally called back kept asking me who my sales person was that sold me the AC and coil install! Are you kidding me???It is nearly 85 degrees in this house and you are more concerned with what sales person was. He also said that there was going to be a 180.00 OT cost to come out! I DONT THINK SO BUDDY!Has not been 2 weeks and this Trane and coil line has ice (yes ICE) on the unit! I took pictures and video to prove it! I should have went with Jesse Heating and Cooling instead of this company!Let me get back to the tech who came out! When I answered the door, he just barged in without identifying himself! No ID or anything - very unprofessional and condensing attitude! You could tell the guy did not want to be bothered with NEW Unit!Its obvious that this Unit is faulty and cheap!Either they replace it, or we will be going to court!
