I’ve used Empire for years. They never disappoint. Today was no exception. Travis was fantastic: thoroughly professional, cordial, and charming, to boot.

At this point we have been using Empire for over 7 years across two different houses. We had them completely redo the HVAC in our old house which took the house from downright unlivable in July to quite lovely with zone AC. As we were selling our old house, the AC of course acts up and they were able to come out the next day and fix it BEFORE a showing. Currently in our new house we have a 16 year old system we knew needed to be replaced. We were planning on doing it in October but it just went out. They were able to move our instillation up AND get us window units until they were able to come out. They are the ABSOLUTE BEST in Atlanta.

I arrived home Saturday at 1:00pm to discover our A/C was not functioning (in 90 degree heat).An Empire representative responded within 10 minutes of leaving a voice message and said a service rep would arrive by 5pm. Ive really enjoyed my experience with Empire. I had a maintenance contract with another provider when I bought my home, and every visit with them left me feeling less than satisfied. They also tried to add on unexpected costs. The Empire service professionals Ive had come visit are so personable and knowledgeable, and despite my system being old and needing to be upgraded, theyre not pushy when I tell them Im going to wait until it dies to make that purchase. They show up on time, and communicate well, and Im overall very happy with them!

I used Empire to diagnose my failed air conditioning system. We were 2 days from the hottest day of the year so far and I was able to call and schedule a visit from their technician on the second day after my call. I had tried a couple of other hvac repair companies and was getting first available days a week or more in the future. Terrance, the Empire technician arrived right on schedule and within a half hour diagnosed my issue (burned out fan motor). He gave me a price quote and said the repair could be done in 2 more days as he had to obtain the motor.I am very happy with the Empire service and all around experience. I recommend them to others looking for repair of their hvac system.

From a 1925 steam boiler to 2021 multi_zone wireless technology. These guys KNOW what to do. Fast, reliable, professional problem solvers. I dont think they are the cheapest - and thats probably why. Do yourself a favor and get it done right before more $$$problems$$$ occur.

I have used Empire for years. They are local (Decatur), kind, professional. I always love the women who answer the phones, they always seem to really care about you. The techs who come twice a year for maintenance visits are always nice, respectful, clean and professional. They are generally fine with my over-active dog :) Travis came today to do the maintenance visit and it was the first time I had had him as a tech and he was as nice as all the rest, also wore a mask, which I appreciated. Highly recommend, would never go anywhere else.

Empire was the 4th company I called for my rental property. The tenant let me know the other guys walked in the garage looked at the system and left saying repair would be $1600. The empire tech came by and found where the simple leak was because a hose was misplaced. Saved me over $1400. In the times we are living in integrity is scarcely found. So many people are greedy and will make a profit at the expense of others. I am overwhelmed this morning with the honesty trait some companies still value. I highly recommend Empire and will use them again if needed.

I had a leak in one of my units. Michael was punctual and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I live in a new home and the builder did not tighten a connection that was causing the leak. While he was fixing the issue I asked him about a piece of equipment that I was not familiar with. He took the time to explain it to me and also saw that the Honeywell fresh air ventilation system was in place but the builder never hooked it up to electricity. He took care of that also. I am so thankful to Michael. He is a true professional and outstanding in his field. I will be using Empire for all my HVAC needs.

I called Empire to repair or replace a thermostat in a house where my brother and his wife live. Both have mental health issues. I was not able to be at their house while the technician was there. I was concerned that they would get very confused by the process without me being there. David arrived on time and talked to me through Google Duo. He replaced the thermostat. After he was finished, I talked to him again. He explained to my brother how to operate the thermostat while I listened in. I was able to help my brother feel less anxious about the service call. David was professional, patient and represented your company at the highest level. I will strongly recommend Empire because of David’s excellent work.

These guys are awesome. I called in the morning and they sent Terrence over that same afternoon. He serviced the system, checked all the vents, took the time to show me how to change the filter on my heating unit, and helped me troubleshoot a few other things. A very positive experience!

Charles saved us two times, already!! Hes the best HVAC technician,!! In June, our main unit wasnt cooling and quickly he found a small part that a beetle got under and shorted the A/C- he quickly replaced the part and weve been good since. Lately, our realtor, requested her company to look at our furnace on the upstairs unit, which wasnt due for any maintenance yet (we didnt have Charles last season) and found a small crack, they wanted to replace the entire furnace! We asked for Charles to assess the unit and he found that the crack was only in a small part and quickly replaced the piece, and its now great as well. During the ongoing pandemic, I engaged him to replace my thermostat in my house - a very old house with multiple complications. Ken displayed unique accuracy and professionalism in getting around the complications by carefully running the right cable wires for the new device. Apart from the fact that Ken is an excellent communicator, he did not waste my time. The device has been working excellently on my phone and that of my wife. His fee was fair. Its been 3 weeks since a home warranty claim has forced me to work with another AC company that has yet to fix the problem. Within an hour of Charles being out at our house from Empire, he accessed the problem and gave an estimate and option to replace get our AC back on these 90+ degree days.Seeing the other end of the spectrum, I highly recommend Empire and specifically Charles if you need a quick fix.

We have been with Empire for more than a decade now, mostly because we assumed they would offer a better experience as one of the larger HVAC providers. Nothing could be further from reality. The service they provide is inconsistent at best and can be described as subpar if I am being honest.In our latest experience with Empire, a few weeks ago they performed winter maintenance on our heating system. This morning we woke up to the coldest temperatures of the season so far, so we turned on the heat. Imagine our surprise when we discover that the heat will not come on! I went to the basement to see if I could figure out the issue, and I find that the last tech who was here put one of the installers guides that came with the heating unit (which we purchased from Empire) on top of some type of air intake vent on the unit. Once i moved that, the unit fired up and started putting out heat.This situation is similar to what happened when we called Empire out this past summer because the vent in our bathroom seemed to be blocked. The tech who came out took a really quick look and, finding no obvious issue, figured it must be a dirty filter and moved on. I insisted that he take another look, because logically a dirty filter would not impact just one vent. I went to the basement with the teck to get a better look myself. In 2 minutes I realized that the vent was blocked because it was full of water (our toilet had overflowed, and the bathroom has a floor vent).These are just 2 of MANY issues I have had with Empire over the years. I always provide feedback to Empire, expecting to hear from someone in charge of customer experience, but never do. Maybe its time to find a smaller provider who cares more about their customers.

Our furnace/AC checkup is always easy. We get a time frame for our appointment, but then we also receive a call letting us know that they will be arriving within the next half hour. Our technician, Ken, is as nice as could be. Friendly and helpful - he always gives us a few good tips on how to avoid maintenance issues.

We’ve been using Empire for over a year to service our heating and cooling system. They do a great job with routine maintenance to keep everything running properly. They’re almost always available same day and are punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. During this last visit, our technician Ken was able to diagnose and permanently fix a repeated problem with our furnace. On the rare occasion that a problem recurs Empire has honored the warranty on their work, which we always appreciate.

Once again Empire has provided us with great service. Senior Service Tech Ken Kolar came out to check out our old furnace that had stopped working. We have been contemplating a new system for a while. He did manage to get our dinosaur running but he was very helpful in guiding us toward a new system. I was trying to hold out till June before turning on my AC, but 82 degrees in my house at 11:00pm called for some AC. I had been using the house fan but decided I would breakdown for some cooler air. I turned on the Auto function on my thermostat and flipped it over to Cool. My auto temperature was set to 82, so of course nothing happened. I go down stairs and the pump is running but nothing else. This morning, I called Empire at 8:01am requesting service. I knew is was going to be a long shot, but they worked me in and fixed the pump in less than 30 minutes.
