Used to love the work they do, but theyre too money hungry for me to ever return. Id been going here for at least a decade, and put my family and friends on to coming in as well. My mom ended up purchasing gift certificates for all of us to be able to spend time together. The pandemic happened and the certificates expired DURING Tip Top being closed. Fast forward a couple months after they re-open, my grandmother goes in and receives service. When she went to use the gift certificate they berated and embarrassed her about it being expired and wouldnt accept it.She didnt even realize there would be a problem because wed never had any issues with certificate acceptance before. Two, shes a long time customer whose money has been good any other time, and that certificate was purchased with money. Three, it expired during them being closed; how is that the customers fault?It didnt matter. My mother called and tried to resolve things amicably, and Helen was unwilling to bend. I even gave them an opportunity to make the situation right, and never heard back. Thus, theyll never see any of our dollars again.We tolerated them talking crazy TO and ABOUT us because weve been hard pressed to find another shop in the QC that is comparable, in terms of how we like our pedicures. I dont miss the toxic conversations and hectic environment with kids everywhere, side business deals taking place, and long waits though. So, Im good. Youd also be good to go elsewhere if you want to be treated fairly + get the best service for what you pay.

Love tip top nails. They are the best place to go anywhere in the quad cities. For both eyebrows and nails!

Absolutely excellent!! Very careful I had broken my nail down pretty far and they were able to salvage my nail and remove the dipped tips with minimal pain and fantastic outcome! Definitely recommend 👌 👍

They force gel on you then tell you the price 4 times like you either didnt hear it the first time or you cant afford it. NEVER AGAIN

I loved tip-top nail it was me and my mom first time there today and the worker was really nice and they did an amazing job on my nails and my mom toes. Most definitely will be back

They did great, just wished the prices were lower but you get your money’s worth... They were able to make my full set look like my natural nails which I loved.

Walk in to get a fill on my natural nails which I had put on my self along with one repair they talk for 5 minutes talking in their language when I ask if they could be done by 5pm it was 4pm at the time I walked out an all they said was thank you bs it’s not that hard to do what I ask if your a true nail tech

I was looking for a nail salon and I happened upon this place..... When I got in the atmosphere was a bit stuffy....Not heat wise stuffy...But they didnt seem to welcome new customers very well. They had some repeat clients in there and was very attentive and warm to them. During my visit they seemed as if they were trying to rush us through... One woman started on both of us, my daughter and I had gone as a mother daughter type of thing. There was a woman with a client next to us and one behind us with a client at the foot spa....she went from doing a ladies feet to messing with money and to my hands....she had the Polish from her last client under her nails which than transferred under my left pinky nail. I also wanted a specific detail put on two maybe 4 finger nails and they had the hardest time trying to figure it out...they didnt even try to hold conversation with us.....I was appalled at that but not only at that but also at the whole visit. I just didnt feel that the experience was pleasant at all. We will not be returning.

Love this place! Everyone is friendly and funny! The nail techs are very thorough and actually do their jobs correct instead of just running through the motions like other places Ive been!

Horrible place. Waited over 40 mins+ to get my nails filled. Very unwelcoming to new customers. Lady did not do a through job and messed up my nails. They were uneven and looked horrible! She did a sloppy job, so much so that I had the acrylic substance all over my fingers. I wanted a fill for my original shaped nail (almond) and she barely filed them enough to make them look like almonds. I wasted my money and time. I had to go home and refill my nails and to scrape off the messed up arcylic and polish residue on my hands. This place doesn’t deserve its 4.4 rating. Go somewhere else and do not waste your time and money like I did.

This was the worst most rushed experience I’ve had in my life. I told the tech she put my acrylic on in a way that I would HAVE to get a fill in a week. She argued that no that’s how it should be. For all of you who love this place, you’re being ripped off how my nails look right now isn’t worth $28 and when i told them my concerns. They didn’t care to fix them..nails are crookedPaint is bubbledI’ll need a fill in a weekNails are smearedIt’s disgusting

If you want to be told that what you asked for is not right or have them do what they prefer, go here.3. I was referred by a friend and she raves about this place.. what an absolute disappointment. When I walked in, they were kissing some Caucasion older lady’s ass, it was shameless. I assumed maybe they were just that nice.... WRONG!! As soon as I sat down she barely wanted to deal with me. Told me what I wanted couldn’t be done.... i even tipped her after her less than mediocre job.Too bad It was able to be done for 2 years till I moved from IL. Then she did an absolute garbage job. I had to go to another nail place to get it redone and repay another 30+ dollars. Don’t bother spending your money here. There are way more competent nail places near by. Both thumbs down for me.
