This clinic loves to do things to your animal that you did not ask for or discuss with them. Then when you call them out on it you get a condescending and nasty attitude back from them. This happened our last visit which led to me requesting past and future treatments of our animal so that we could know exactly what was going to be done to him at each appointment. We went for his heart worm pill this morning and they informed us that because I requested his treatment records last visit, that this meant I was going to find another vet. They basically got their feelings hurt and implied that they didn’t want our business anymore. Needless to say we are perfectly fine that with that. I would rather go somewhere that I can trust and that won’t make my decisions for me.

We took a 9 week old kitten to them and they said he had an sinus infection, two days later he isn’t eating and has a hernia now with severe pain. We asked how much to put him to sleep and they wouldn’t even give us a discount and they knew he wasn’t going to live. We paid over $202 for the visit and can cat food they wanted us to feed him.

We love Benning Animal Hospital! We have been using them for close to 15 years. Dr. Riddick and staff have always gone above and beyond when it comes to our fur babies. When our cat Tiki was really sick and needed attention they were always willing to work with our schedule and even known to stay late a time or two to ensure she had the best care available. When our dog Ripple was sick a vet tech even met us on Sunday for medicine.

It was my first experience with any of my animals I’ve ever owned. The staff was very friendly and cling to my fur baby as their own. The staff and vet explained everything to be in detail with every last thing they did to my baby. They even showed me how to give him his pill and gave me multiple tips about an issue I had with my puppy. This will be our permanent veterinary family 🤗🤗

This a review a long time coming. In 2016, my dog, Sonny, experienced paralysis and lost the use of his hind legs. It was devastating. I took him to Auburn for their Vet school to do tests. Their recommendation was to outfit a cart for Sonny and start physical therapy. I love Sonny, so, I would do whatever I could, as long as I could afford it. Auburn estimated physical therapy would be $90 a day, Monday - Friday and I would have to leave Sonny in their care for the week and pick him up for the weekends. I knew I could not do that, not just financially but, being away from him that long every week would take an emotional toll, as well. I searched in Columbus for any Animal Hospital which would do physical therapy. All that I contacted said they did not do it, until I called Benning Road. While they did not have a set physical therapy program, they offered to meet with Sonny and see if they could come up with a regimen that would help him. We decided on three days a week, all day, they would begin helping Sonny, hopefully, recover and be able to walk again - with our without a cart. Well, let me tell you, they worked miracles. After only 6 months of therapy, Sonny was able to walk - albeit unsteadily. Another 4 months and he was able to run again. I still take him there for weekly sessions and he LOVES them - you can tell. I cannot recommend a place more than Benning Road.

The staff at Benning Animal Hospital are the best!!! I take my Penny there, and although she is a bit skittish by nature, the fact that they are so loving and understanding certainly makes me feel at ease whenever she is under their care. My daughters dog, Paisley, who happens to be Pennys sister used to go there but relocated to ATL. She also loooooooooves them, and it showed each and every time she went for bath or yearly check ups.

Only issue is there is not big area for them to walk your dogs due to it location. I recommend taking your pets there for treatment. Never had any issues with any aggressive animals in the waiting area at this location.

We have been taking all of our animals to Benning Animal Hospital for over 2 years now and we have always liked them. The staff is friendly, always helpful, and you can tell that they really do care. I would have always recommended them to anyone, but its only been in the past 36 hours that I will swear to you that they really are the best Vet I have ever come in contact with. Our two dogs got out of the fence two days ago and went so far that they couldnt find their way home. We drove for hours and hours that first night trying to find them, and we did find one, but our Chase, who was mine and my husbands wedding present to each other could not be found. I had called Benning Animal Hospital to give them a heads up that Chase was missing, because their phone number is on his tags. All I expected them to do was give me a call if someone found Chase and called the number on his tag. The Benning Animal Hospital staff went above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined they would do. Without me asking, they made their own flyers, called all the local pounds and shelters, and two staff members even came to my house and drove around my area to help me look for Chase. After, we talked to anyone and everyone who was outside, and put posters up, the word started getting out and a few different people spotted Chase in the same field about a mile away from our house, and that is where we finally found our boy! I can not thank everyone at Benning Animal Hospital enough for helping us during such a terrible time and showing the same concern and effort in Chases search and rescue. Im only sorry that we are military, and will not be in the Fort Benning area forever because I cant imagine ever finding another staff as caring as this one. Thank you again to everyone at Benning Animal Hospital!!

Vet on Ft. Benning does not board, so we tried this place since it was close to gate. So glad we boarded our not too social mutt here . Staff is so patient and caring. Also, rates are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Great staff! It was my first time ever bringing one of my animals to this office and the staff welcomed me and even made me feel like I was a well established long time pet parent with their facility. I brought in my daughters rabbit for Dr. Keri Riddick-D.V.M. to see, she was great and helped me with my rabbits ear infection. Shes very knowledgeable and works extremely well with exotics. I highly recommend this Veterinary establishment. I will definitely be using this Vet office for all of my pet care needs, both domestic and exotic. Its not a fancy Veterinary Clinic, but the staff here is very knowledgeable and actually seem to care a lot about the well being and health concerns of your pet, they definitely dont treat you like your just money walking through the door. Dr. Riddick is a caring, compassionate, highly-educated, experienced veterinarian. The clinic is a good solid facility that seeks to take the best care of the animals entrusted to it.They know that times are tough for everyone these days and they try to do the best that they can within the limits of my budget. They dont do any care that I dont authorize ahead of time and theyre good about giving me the options for treatment of my kitties. They give me a realistic summary of what I can do for my pet, what it is likely to cost, and what benefit I can expect for the cat.By giving the Benning Animal Hospital my pet to care for, Im giving them a beloved member of my family, and they know it and treat my pets like their own.

I went in today because this place was recommended to me for boarding services. I never being to this place before so this is my honest review. As soon as I walked in the smell hit me. I understand is normal for a place to smell like dog specially if they offer boarding services but this place is two small so the smell is 5 times worse. The reception area is really small and there was a few dogs and one of them was showing aggressive behavior towards the others and nobody say nothing the owner then decided to wait outside with the dog. There was a guy taking care of the dogs that were staying there so every time he goes in and out and open the door that goes towards the boarding area the smell was even worse. By the moment I walked in I knew that I will never let my dog stay there. The way the place looks inside and the smell shows lack of cleanliness. Overall this looked to me like the Ghetto vet place that everybody goes to. I guess according to the reviews here because is cheaper but I end up leaving that place really quick and found a way better place in Macon Rd that offers pick up on Sunday so they don’t charge an extra night. And charge $18 for bording and is clean.

Dr. Riddick and the staff at Benning Animal Hospital are Excellent. They are up to date and progressive in the proper care of all my animals. I am very particular when it comes to veterinarian care for my dogs. I need a vet who is interested in whats best for the overall care of my dogs because I have competition dogs who need to be the perfect picture of health to be at peak performance. They care about whats wrong with your animal, not just issuing medicines. They offer an online pharmacy, have a great website that is very informative and user friendly, and they are involved in many community events that support all facets of animal care.

This review is a bit overdue for us, but its still as relevant as it was on our first visit. After an emergency with our pup, Hank, we were told leaving the emergency vet, “No vet will turn your dog away when they see his bloodwork. Take him immediately to your regular vet and they will continue to monitor him and ensure he is stable.” When we reached our regular vet (on post at Fort Benning) we were immediately turned away. While still in shock and disbelief we called Benning Animal Hospital. They were recommended by a good friend for how well they treated their pup, Zuzu. I called and explained our emergency situation. Not only did they tell us to come immediately, but when we arrived Dr. Lowery met us in the waiting room to check Hank’s vitals and make sure he was stable enough to make it back to an exam room. Over the next 6 months, Dr. Riddick and her staff worked tirelessly to help figure out what might be ailing our poor pup. They treated our dog who could come off a little strong and be a bit hard to love with the same care and compassion as our older pup, Archer, who is easy to please and soft-hearted. When Hank’s time came to an end, Dr. Riddick and her staff were there for us in a way I would have never expected. Their thoughtful gestures during such a hard time for us will never be forgotten. We will continue using Benning Animal Hospital for as long as we are in the Columbus area and I will recommend them to every dog person I meet and tell them our story. Thank you Benning Animal Hospital for everything you have done for our family! And I especially want to thank Christine who always went out of her way to check on me and Hank every time we visited the office.

I LOVE this vet. I have been all over the country and have never found anyone who was as friendly, loving or generous as the staff at Benning. I am notoriously forgetful about remembering flea treatment and they are so considerate in making sure my pets get their meds and stay safe. I have had so many great experiences that it is one of the many things in Georgia I will miss when we move. I wish I could take them with us! I would recommend this vet to anyone with a pet they love. They are affordable and caring and want the best for your pet and want you to know what is going on. They always explain what they are doing. When I go on vacation or even if I am taking a day trip up to Atlanta, I use the Pampered Pets side so that my fur babies dont have to stay home alone and I am not dependent on a neighbor who might forget to check on them. Thank you so much to all the loving staff and Benning Animal Hospital. Becca, Hunter, Pookie, and Buster
