I rented a 5x10 unit here for Summer 2021. I had a queen mattress and a number of boxes and only one large piece of furniture (everything fit well). I got a climate controlled unit. The move in process was very easy, but moving out has been a nightmare. I came on a Sunday afternoon, online it says they were open but when I got here lights off in the office and no one here. I called office, no answer. I called the emergency number as I forgot my gate code and keys (was out of state for three months) and the wait was over twenty minutes. When someone did answer, they said the store wasn’t supposed to be closed and they had no idea why no one was there. They said they put in a call to “operations” to come help me but no one ever called me back. I called several times and either no one answers or they just said they contacted operations and they would call me back. Other customers came during that time and said the day prior (Saturday) they had tried to come to the office but no one was here then either, but online and on the door it says they’re open. They said they would be open on Monday so I came back on Monday. I came at 11am and there was one person in the office. I asked her for help removing the lock and she has been trying to open it for OVER TWO HOURS. First the drill stopped working then it just wouldn’t come off and she had to get the manager. I’d been trying to contact manager all day but apparently they weren’t here today. All this time, I’m paying hourly to rent a Uhaul and waiting on lock to be removed. It seems like Life Storage is either understaffed or really has awful customer service. IF YOU NEVER HAVE TO CONTACT A HUMAN BEING THAT WORKS HERE for any reason, I’m sure it’s a fine place to store your stuff. But if you ever have to use customer service it’s such a bad experience.

Jordan is awesome! It was storming when I came to look at the storage units and he braved the weather for me! He was very informative and didnt pressure me to make any decisions. I will be using this facility and recommend it to anyone who is looking for convenient & safe storage options. Thanks again Jordan! The photos shown are pics of the 10x10 I choose. Day 1 started was almost a disaster. lady asked me if I had a lock, I said yes and she carried on back to the office. Come 10/11pm I find the PADLOCK I had, wasnt compatible. Their units require a proprietary cylindrical lock sold by them. Needless to say, my unit won on auction remained UNLOCKED overnight based on Improper Disclosure. Day 2, NO answer via phone for hours. Left work, arrived onsite and all was well. Went to the office, worked with Tonya, she saved the day. She addressed my concerns professionally and resolved by giving me a lock. I was never going to shop with them again, but Tonya restored my faith and earn a customer, and the business a 5 star. Thank you Tonya!

Im under my husbands profile and I normally dont do reviews but I wanted to say how great Lyndee was with helping me out today! Been super stressed and busy with moving and her personality alone made my day easier! Would recommend this location :)

Everything was contactless. They sent the code to get in via email, the lock was inside the storage unit, and the storage unit was spotless! I also must say the gentlemen who answered the phone there is probably the most professional person I have ever spoken to. He was so informative, respectful, and kind. That kind of customer service is rare now and so appreciated during this time. I wish I could remember his name, I have so much on my mind! If I speak with him again I will post his name here. That man deserves a raise!

I recently checked out of a unit we rented at the Evanswood facility. Ivan was the manger on duty. Professional, courteous and friendly best describes the manner I was treated by Ivan. He’s a credit to Life Storage. He is the reason I would rent from this facility again. Thank you Ivan.

Weve had this storage unit for about 5 years, the staff is extremely polite and friendly. The place is always clean and safe. Its about 6 miles from our house and many storage units much closer but the price and service weve received, Im happy to do business with Life Storage on Evansville.

Rob & Ellie are so kind. I went to purchase my new storage space this past Saturday. I needed an affordable space to store my belongings & I did not want to take the first thing thrown at me. Ellie seriously took the time to break down the prices for me & show me the units available. I was so relieved when I decided on the unit I choose. It was very spacious. Ellie did not make me feel rushed or hoodwinked. She took her time & offered good advice. I purchased some boxes & Rob was kind enough to walk them to my car & put them in my trunk. They made my experience worth getting up early in the morning, on a Saturday, to pick a storage unit. :-)

Great customer service. Really fair pricing and super clean property. Almost everything was done online making the registration super easy when I came in to get the keys. I love that they offer a free truck rental as well.

Ambrianna was incredible! Excellent customer service on the phone, and when I arrived on my last day to empty out my storage unit after months of using life storage, I did not have my keys. She was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient in solving the issue. Her attitude was amazing and her smile was contagious. Life storage itself does exactly for you what they say they will! My stuff stayed in excellent condition with no bugs or dirt and nothing was damaged at all thanks to climate control. Definitely recommend the life storage on Evanswood dr.

Rob & Nathan are the greatest! Me and my boyfriend had the best experience with moving my things into storage. The U-Haul truck was free with our rental which saved a lot of extra cost. It was smaller than expected (king size bedroom into a 12in truck I should have known) but we made it work with the free 25miles you get with the truck! The storage units are nice & well protected I’m happy knowing my values are safe here.

Very excellent customer service received from Rob. He made a very stressful situation, very manageable and tolerable. He made sure all my questions I had were answered, and didnt make me feel like I was rushed. Robs personality was very refreshing and shows what true customer service is expected to be.

Nathan was extremely helpful and friendly. I have never used a storage unit before and it was great to have someone so patient to walk me through the process and help figure out how big of a unit I needed. Ever question I had was met with a very professional answer. I felt well informed about the facility when I left. Rob and Zac both did a great job.

Nathan helped me complete the paperwork for the storage space and went over everything well and thoroughly! The pricing for everything is super reasonable and especially good on a college student budget. Im glad I found this place! Would definitely use them again. Great costumer service :)

Life storage was a great experience. Nathan was totally proficient at getting me set up with the correct storage unit size that I needed to store my belongings while I deployed in the military. I would certainly recommend this company to friends and family.

We had two climate controlled units here for 4 years and when we returned to move everything out the units were clean and free of any mold/mildew/animals. We were very satisfied with the condition of our items. The staff have always been very communicative and helpful. We lost our keys over the course of four years and the manager was great about helping us solve the problem and gain access to our units. We could not have asked for a better experience and great value for service. This Evanswood location is excellent!

I was calling around over the weekend in preparation for a possible move later this year. This was by far the most pleasant phone call I made during my search. Rob was very professional over the phone and was able to answer all my questions. He even informed me of the truck they offer at special pricing to help with your move in. On 11/30/2017 rented moving truck from Silver Drive location. Great service from this location as well as facility on Henderson Rd. Both in Columbus Ohio where I’m renting storage unit. I would recommend Life Storage, both locations. Very good customer service. Especially that moving truck is free.

I just helped my mother-in-law (MIL)move some items to her new storage unit at Life Storage on Evanswood Dr. She had reserved the moving truck they have available to anyone who is renting space. We pulled in,parked and walked right into the office. Right away we were greeted by Nathan; he had remembered my MIL from the last visit. I want to complement Nathan for his patience, and care when answering all of my MILs questions. Nathan had all of the paperwork ready, all we had to do is sign, review some policies, etc. We were in and out in about 5-8 minutes! Fast, Professional, and honest! Outstanding job Nathan! I recommend using this facility for your storage needs.

We had a space here for several years previously, so it was an easy decision to return when we needed a place to store most of our belongings for a renovation. The staff is professional and helpful, the units are very clean, and the prices are very competitive.

I left my stuff in the storage much longer than I planned. (In the meantime, the store name changed from Uncle Bobs Storage to Life Storage) At first I signed up a container space where seemed neither temperature control nor pest control. A few days later I found this place, and changed my storage space from there to here without hesitation. I paid contract breach fee to the first place, but I am glad I made a right decision. I will use this place again in the future if I need a storage.

Managers are polite and the units are clean. Im disappointed that management did not make effort to help me when I needed to cut cost and combine two units to one and help w finding type of unite I was looking for. Also finding out the rules/ guidelines are not the same as I was originally told when i signed up.

Had a great experience getting a storage unit from the moment i called and set it up to touring the facility and moving my stuff in. Rob was very helpful and down to earth. Helped me with everything I needed. What was awesome was that when you get a storage unit with them they let you use their box truck for free (you put money down but they return it when you turn in the truck) its way better and cheaper than renting a U-Haul. Facility is clean and feels very safe. I was suspicious when they said my unit was on the second floor but they have carts and an elevator that makes moving in quick and easy. Thanks guys!

For our first time experience, 5 stars for Uncle Bobs Storage on Evanswood Dr., Columbus, Ohio !!! Helpful Staff, Safe, Clean, Odorless, Convenient, Climate Controlled Area was dust free, mold free, fresh not stale air. Wide isles, wide driveways....they set the 5 star standard for Self Storage.Hope this is our LAST move (25 times in 38 yrs. of marriage), but if we need another storage unit....we will definitely chose Uncle Bobs :)

Rented here for 7 years until I moved out of the city, and was never disappointed by the state of the facility or the managers there when I needed their help. If you need storage in the Columbus area this is a great choice.

I have been using Uncle Bobs to run my business out of for 3.5 years now, it works well for me. Clean and safe on the premises.Staff here at the moment are nice, there has been quite the turn over since I started using them and it hasnt always been the case.Downside to using Uncle Bobs, there is no loyalty or leniency to long term/multi unit holding customers, I have 4 units. The corporate side of the business ruins it for me, no discounts for holding multiple units or leniency on making payments. I have been hit with penalties several times when not being able to get to the location to make payment by the time frame they lay out.

This place was everything my family needed! Everything was always so clean! Never too hot or cold indoors... and the staff has been amazing!

A wonderful experience, BEST deal on storage in Columbus, esp if you dont mind getting an upstairs unit, which considering they have freight elevators with pull up access theres pretty much no reason not to save the cash! Plus, they offer new move in customers one free use of their large box style truck ( think the regular size uhaul truck) you just pay mileage after 25 miles + gas fill up! I even got half off my move in cause they prorated the first month, AND my second month was free!All that, plus the guy who runs the place, named Nathan, is literally one of the nicest people Ive ever dealt with, in this or other industries! Hes always in a decent mood, joking, yet takes the time to seriously address any and all concerns you could have! Seriously the best place to store things!!

Ive been storing here for a few years. Its a safe and convenient location. These guys a great!

I didn’t have great expectations going into this, I’ve had (previous) storage units broken into. I had all of my childhood toys, stuffed animals ect ruined as well as furniture and other belongings. However deciding to downgrade in space we needed to store some bigger items. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, he took my s/o and I around the property and told us all about the security which put a lot of ease in our minds. He cracked jokes with us and genuinely made us feel comfortable leaving all of our belongings in their care. He went over all of the contract with us and answered in full detail about everything we could have asked, did I mention we came in practically right before closing? He didn’t rush us, he wasn’t agitated or rude and he should be praised for that! THANK YOU SO MUCH ROB FOR MAKING THIS SUCH A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR US!! I’d only recommend leaving your items in the care of him and his staff at life storage!

While this location isnt where I store my things, even though it is clean. I got my free truck rental here. The guy in the location explained how it worked in detail and gave me free miles with the truck. I have found that this is one of the best storage companies around. They really seem to care about their customers.
