I’ve been using Andy’s services for a number of years. I’ve never met anyone in the car repair service that compares to his professionalism, honesty, accuracy. His pricing is very reasonable. Save your money, stay away from dealerships and use Andy’s services. I can highly recommend, without reservation using Andy as your personal services supplier.

Andy was able to diagnose the problem with my car quite quickly (and didnt charge for the diagnosis!) and scheduled a time for the next day to fix it. It was super efficient and affordable, and he explained the issue to me. The whole process was very honest and helpful. Definitely will be a return customer.

Andy is an awesome, kind, and honest mechanic, who is great at keeping a line of communication going, doing work in a timely manner, and being more than fair when it comes to price. My windshield wipers stopped working on a rainy morning, I took my car to him, he came in on a Saturday since the part came in early. Unfortunately, they stopped working the same day (due to a cut off date on the part, not his fault) and my car broke down a few days later. I took my car back in, he replaced a few spark plugs, a coil pack, and fixed the wipers, and got my car back to me in a couple hours, and didnt charge for labor. I would recommend him to anyone, and he deserves more than a 5 star review.

Amazing and honest mechanic. He quoted me at less than half of the price of a big name shop, and got the work done perfectly and very efficiently. He was even flexible with me in terms of pick up times and payment. I will never go anywhere else as long as Im in Columbus - so glad to have found Andy!

Andy Chapin is the most honest guy in town! I have been going here for over 10 years now and only wish I’d have found him sooner. He will not try to sell you services you don’t need – and will more often than not – tell you that you do not need what the other guy quoted you. My son took his jeep in a few weeks ago, expecting to need new brakes. Andy told him he was just out of brake fluid and gave him the bottle half full after he put it in and sent him on his way – and would not let my son pay for it. He even chatted with him a while and gave him tips on the old thing so it might last as long as he can get it to! Andy is not only known around here for being honest, but his prices are ALWAYS far less expensive than any other shop in the area. You can also be sure that if his shop does the work – it will be done right! If his shop cannot do the work, he will let you know and give you a referral to someone else that he would trust to do it. Chapin’s is a true gem!

My family has been taking our cars to him for DECADES and he has never let us down, ripped us off, told us we needed something when we didnt, or otherwise led us astray. Honest, responsive, hardworking mechanic who I would trust my car with in any situation. His shop isnt set up to do everything, but hell tell you where to go when you need something he cant do. When he quits the business, I dont know what Ill do. Hard to find a mechanic like him these days.

I took my car this morning, because it was making some noise and another mechanic had suggested changing the serpentine belt. Andy took a look at it and said it looked ok and the bolts just needed some tightening. He tightening my bolts and refused to take any money! I was stunned! Hands down the most honest mechanic I have seen in a very long time.
