We’re taking a Fall trip to Milwaukee for a conference, and called for some travel information. Not only did we get someone who cared about what we were looking for, but we made our reservations, and got a remarkable rate. I don’t have to lift a finger of things to do for this trip. That was my idea of service. Thank you AAA for amazing travel consultants.
My wife and I had an in-person consult with Dawn to discuss options for a trip overseas. We came into the meeting with only a vague idea of what we wanted and through an extended conversation with Dawn, we narrowed down to 2 options for a trip. Dawn promised us that she would send our trip proposal of the options via email and then we could decide which option suited us best. I gave Dawn 2 weeks to allow her to work and then followed up via email to see how things were going. Dawn never responded. To top it off, I went back to this location to have my passport photo taken a month later and when she took my photo and processed my credit card, Dawn never realized that she had failed to follow-up after our meeting. I understand that this location may be short-staffed, but there needs to be the common courtesy to follow-up with clients who are expecting your communication. This set us back over a month in our trip planning. Luckily, we were able to link up with Grandview Travel who had a proposal prepared for us in less than 2 hours on a Friday afternoon.
Our daughters car had an aging starter and would not start late one evening. Called AAA and they towed it here. Long story short, the car started over and over for the next week when they were checking it out.The mechanic was always in communication with us, calling multiple numbers to get in contact with us.We picked the car up 8 days later and drove it home with no service or storage fees.Their customer service was great. Dont hesitate to take your vehicle here.

My windshield wiper motor seized up on the highway yesterday. A truck came by and splashed a ton of water on my windshield, but I was unable to see because I had then discovered my wipers werent working. I pulled over and called AAA. They were fast, courteous, and friendly.I talked to Steve later that day, and he had notified me that the whole housing unit was just frozen, and since they had an open bay, they were able to unthaw it with no problem. When I asked him the charge, he said it was no charge. That really made my day. He could have charged me, but he was an honest and good person.Steve, I dont know if you will ever see this, but you truly helped me out. I did not have the money, and like so many folks, have been struggling financially to make ends meet. What you did was truly a blessing. And I almost got teary on the phone.I have been with AAA for over 15 years, and people like Steve have been nothing but outstanding. Thank you so much for your service to the community!

I’ve been taking my cars here for over 10 years. Steve and the grandview team are amazing! I’ve never been oversold or told I need something when I don’t. In fact, when the dealership tells me something needs replaced, I always take it here to get a second opinion. 9 out of 10 times I don’t need it and they explain in detail why. Always very appreciative of the honesty I receive here time and time again!
When stranded in columbus without funds or access to my atm, i turned to the aaa office in grandview for helpan attendant there gave me cash from her own pocket to get me homethank you for having such an employee!!!
Ive been coming here for over 15 years and have never been disappointed with the knowledge and service. When anything is diagnosed, they let me know if it requires an immediate fix, can wait a while, or is not really a driving issue. I also receive many discount coupons through my AAA membership. Its a very honest place with very nice people, especially the manager Steve, and I rely on them to keep me safe on the road.

$51.59 for an oil change is too much. I understand your explanation: You only have one type of oil — full synthetic. As a AAA member in Cincinnati, I never paid more than $29 for an oil change. Even outside AAA at my mechanic’s. I wish AAA Columbus would sell just plain old oil and offer the consumer a choice. At this price, I can’t see myself returning to this shop. For the executives at AAA who make these decisions, I would be interested in hearing your rationale. Thank you.

We recently booked a honeymoon to Riviera Maya with Todd Decker and had a wonderful experience! Having booked our original travel date for April (during the Covid-19 shutdown), Todd took care of us every step of the way. He booked and re-booked our hotels, flights, and transportation multiple times and was extremely responsive to our emails and phone calls. Even when we had weather related damage to our hotel room during the trip, Todd responded with help all the way from Ohio to get our room fixed and our trip back on track. We have encouraged our parents to book future trips with Todd because he made everything so easy and stress free for us!

Would be zero stars if I could do it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They will look at you as a walking paycheck and could not care less about actually fixing your car. Just ask my leaking radiator hose that they tried turning into a busted water pump! And then let’s say hypothetically the EXACT same problem has occurred that you brought it in for 3 weeks ago? Well, get ready to get charged again! Scummy business practice and again I advise all to avoid them.

Recently got an oil change. I received a complimentary oil change because they forgot to do an oil change back in March when I had other work done. They kept their word! I also was hearing an unusual sound when I turned the steering wheel back and forth. Turns out the ball joints just needed lubed. No charge! These guys are great!

Ive been coming here for a few years now. Im always impressed by the knowledge and thoroughness of the staff! Last time I was here I had scheduled an oil change. A few days before the appointment one of my wheels started making noise. I dropped off my car early and told them about it and they said they only had time to check if it was a safety issue. They said they couldnt reproduce the noise and the car was fine and had it ready before my original appointment was even scheduled to begin. I was still hearing the noise so I took it to a different shop the next day and after listening to the sound for less than a minute they determined I needed new brakes. Luckily I was able to take my car back to AAA when they weren’t as busy and they fixed the sound for free! I also appreciate how much they’ve been disinfecting door handles etc. due to COVID.
This is a brand new AAA facility that will accommodate all your travel and car repair needs. Staff is polite and professional. Highly recommended.

My car was towed here for a repair after breaking down on the highway Friday evening. My car was looked over Saturday morning and I received a phone call by 10 am about the status of my vehicle. Mark was incredibly patient and helpful in explaining the issue with my car and how it was being fixed. He was even able to get my repair reimbursed by the business that completed my most recent oil change. The customer service at this Triple A is unmatched and I am beyond grateful that my car was towed to this location.
The worst experience I have ever had and I am an extremely patient person. My vehicle sat at the Grandview AAA Service Center for six days before I called to check the status. I was then told it had not even been looked at yet. I had my vehicle towed to Midas and it was a simple fix and Midas took care of me and had me back on the road within an hour!
I had been going to this AAA location for over 3 years and never noticed any problems (that I knew of). However this last time I took my car in for a triple play inspection because I was over 100,000 miles and knew I was going to be driving my car across the country. They did the inspection and the only thing they mentioned was that my air filter was dirty. So I had that replaced and trusted that they checked everything else.About 3/4 of the drive from Ohio to Oregon, my brakes started acting funny and making a noise. It got progressively worse to the point that once we finally arrived in Oregon, my brakes were making a scraping noise every time I drove. I took it to a mechanic here and he said that my rear brake pads, brakes and rotors needed replacement, as well as, my front pad linings and disc rotors. He also said that everything was so rusted together that it took them extra time to get everything apart. In the inspection form I received from AAA they marked my front brake pads as good and my back as needs attention but never mentioned anything to me about them being bad or that everything was rusted together. Also, in the section that inspects the Rotor/Drum, they dont have anything checked, which makes me think they didnt check them. How can brake pads go from being in good condition on 6/21/18 to completely gone on 8/17/18 when I took my car to a mechanic in Oregon??I would not trust your car here and Im worried that over those 3 years that I took my car to this location, they werent actually checking things I requested. Just because it says AAA doesnt mean its a reliable and trustworthy place to take your car.
I dont usually post reviews but I really feel like this place deserves one. I would give a million stars if I could. I have brought my car here multiple times and every time they are fast, reasonably priced and extremely friendly. Steve is always personable and never gets frustrated when I ask him a ton of questions. I dont know a lot about cars so having a place that I trust to take my car to is very valuable. They never try to pressure me into buying anything extra or make me feel dumb for my lack of car knowledge. I always run prices past my dad who does know about cars and nothing has ever been overpriced. I will continue to take my car here as long as I live in Columbus. Thank you AAA Car Care Plus Grandview for the great work you do.

I have been going for a couple years now. They are consistently professional, quick, and get the job done well. They seem to have customers best interest in mind and are not money grabbers.
My low tire pressure light came on Thursday night. I didnt notice any particular low tire and my tire gage was broken so I couldnt tell. By Friday morning my drivers left tire was flat on the ground. I needed to be at work by 8:30. I knew that I didnt have time to change it myself so I aired it up and drove it to the car care. They didnt have time to fix it that morning but they removed my tire and put my spare on and got me back on the road in time to get to work. They kept my tire and fixed it later that day. I was able to pick it up after work, they put it back on and aired up the rest of my tires.

My car wouldnt start so I had it towed to AAA car care plus in Grandview. They told me they were pretty booked but theyd be happy check it out. My car was dropped off on a Tuesday evening and was ready for pickup on Thursday morning right after a holiday weekend. The people who worked here were so friendly, professional and answered every question I had. I probably wont go anywhere else now. Thank you so much for such a positive experience in a stressful situation.

It is hard to find a place you feel honestly good about taking your car to be repaired. I have had the privilege of having experience with some horrible garages and some great ones. This is one of the great ones. They are quick, upfront, and prices are fair and reasonable. I have used them for a number of years now for all sorts of issues with my beat up explorer. I feel they have always been kind and helpful through them all.
Got a screw in my work truck while delivering on Saturday afternoon just after 3pm, Googled for a repair place still open. First place I stopped, guy told me he couldnt/didnt want to be bothered with a patch job this late in the day. So I Located this AAA location. Got there around 315, they close at 4. Held my breath and crossed my fingers. Walked in, was greated by Steve, very friendly, I asked if there was anyway they had time to do a patch today, so I could get back on the road delivering. He said sure, I can get you in. Looked as though all the guys in the shop were busy with something, but he was willing to fit me in even though they were closing soon. Tire patched and back on the road by tha345. Now that is service with a smile and it is greatly appreciated by this customer, next time I need something, Ill think of this place first.
Its really busy. You have to call way in advance. Several weeks even for a simple oil change. But the service is fine.

I dread the thought of taking my vehicle to the auto mechanic. The though of long wait, surprise charges, and questionable services or parts recommended have always made me a bit hesitant to take a vehicle to a shop in the first place. But on two separate occasions now, the 3rd Ave. AAA Care Care Pus, has provided me, excellent service. Not only were the repairs made very quick, but the price was extremely reasonable. Excellent communication from sales, throughout the repair. No questions or concerns, Will continue to use this shop as my primary vehicle care.

I’d like to start off by saying that, in the year I have been going to AAA, the majority of my experiences have been painless. However, my last experience there concerns me in regards to the lack of communication.This past Sunday night my car got a flat tire, and I had it towed to the shop late that evening to be worked on the next day. The next morning (Monday) I called just to make sure AAA was aware of my car/its needs, and was told that I would receive an update on the tire later that day. Come half an hour before close, I had not yet received a call, so I called them one more time. I asked the employee for an update, and he quickly told me that he was heading out for the evening, but that he would try putting some air into the tire the next day and call me with the results. So it felt like I was being rushed off the phone even though they weren’t closed yet, and the tire had not yet been assessed even after being there an entire day. Although I fully understand being busy, if they didn’t have time to look at my car, I still should have been updated like I was told I would be, since the delay could have affected my ability to work (thankfully I wasn’t scheduled that Monday).I called again a few hours after AAA opened the next morning to see if any air had been put in the tire because I still hadnt been called back. The employee (I’ll pretend his name is Bob) was very friendly and told me that the tire would be replaced by lunchtime. I asked if the tread of the new tire would be similar to that of the other tires and was confidently told that the treads had already been compared, and that I would only need to replace the one tire. Around lunchtime, as promised, I received a call from another employee. However, instead of replacing the tire, he told me that they had plugged the flat one. I cant complain about this financially, but the lack of communication concerned me; I can’t tell whether AAA genuinely planned to replace the tire and then found they could patch it (in which case I feel I should have been informed about the change in plans), or whether “Bob” had told me they were replacing my tire (and all the details about treading) without really knowing the consensus first, which is an alarming possibility.In any case, the tire got fixed, it seems to be doing fine, and I’m thankful for that. But it did take longer than expected, which would have been ok if I had been better informed throughout the process. For the sake of time and easy communication, I may reconsider where I take my car next time.
I have AAA member ship. I came for alignment for two times (Nov 2019 & Feb 2020) at AAA, but the steering wheel is still a little off center. I was told that the alignment will have problem if they made the steering wheel straight, then they cannot make it straight!! I’m confused: Is the centering of the steering wheel part of the alignment?
While the service that I needed was provided, I was upset about the lack of honesty on the timeline they were capable of providing. A part on my car died and I called several places to inquire if they could fix it and this location told me they probably couldnt get to my car the day I dropped it off, but that they could get to it the next; however, I didnt get my car until 3 days later! They should have just been up front with me and recommended I go somewhere else since they were busy (which is understandable), rather than lie and cause me further inconviences by leading me to believe it could be fixed the next day.A different auto store told me they could have fixed my car repaired the day it died, but I decided to take my car to the AAA place because I had been there before and was previously happy with their services, plus 1 day didnt sound that bad at the time. When it turned into 3, I was highly upset with their lack of honesty. Needless to say I wont be going there again.
Ive had my car in this shop three separate times. The first time they found the problem to be the starter, which they replaced and failed to mention anything about the battery. After experiencing problems and having a mechanic friend take a look he was shocked they wouldnt have said anything about the battery a week earlier as it clearly needed replaced. I took it back here where they then told me it was the battery and the alternator. I spent a more money replacing both, only to have my car die again less than a week later. Theyre now saying it was a bad alternator they put in. Im not sure if the people at this shop are incompetent, or if they just dont respect their customers enough to ensure quality parts and work. I will never be having work done at this shop again, and if you need a trustworthy mechanic I highly suggest looking elsewhere.
These guys have 1) resolved the issue with my car every time Ive brought it, 2) recommended other places when those auto shops could do a job cheaper, and 3) accepted responsibility for a fault and fixed matters free of charge.Jim, Steve, and all the others I have met there are trustworthy, approachable, and effective. I couldnt give them a higher recommendation.
Have been taking vehicles to this location for years. Moved a bit farther away and have not found a more competent and friendly group to work with so I go the extra miles for the best service in town. Call them. You will be in good hands.

I am amazed that I found only one poor review from this repair shop - so Im writing this review based on my experience the previous summer.I had a 2004 PT Cruiser that was pretty beat up, and the mechanic back home always did a great job of keeping it at running condition. We knew the car was close to being finished but not when. One day I was driving and it just stopped on the highway with no warning and I had JUST refilled my gas tank. After getting it towed to the shop, they told me they would look at it by the end of the day. I called an hour before close - they hadnt looked and said it was the first car in the morning. The next day after I still hadnt received any info from them (they said they would call when they looked/finished) I called a bit before close, and they had not yet looked at it. The same thing happened the next day as well. Then, the fourth day I call an hour before close and THEN they proceed to tell me they had looked at it that morning - here I am waiting on my only transportation to work and they cannot even tell me when they finished. They then said that the car was ready to be picked up, so I decide to go there to get all the info because they were closing soon (why bother asking over the phone when theyll tell me in person)I get there and the car has not moved its spot in the lot. I asked what they did and they said they couldnt find a problem, and that the gas light was finicky (which I told them already it randomly says empty but I had a full tank when it broke down). I asked them if they checked anything in engine etc. or lifted it up because on hills is when the gas light does that - his response was oh we never lifted it up we just started the car and left it running for 45 minutes.SO long story short - they didnt bother looking for the problem, started the car and left it running (when they argued they could do nothing because there was no gas?), told me I could pick my car up, and then it broke down on the drive home.AVOID THIS PLACE. They were rude, didnt bother actually trying to solve the problem, and any other place could do a way better job with less stress than this shop.

My wife took her vehicle to a dealership and was told her brakes were unsafe. We took her car to AAA because of the positive reviews and to get a second opinion. There was nothing wrong with the brakes and they didnt even charge an inspection fee. Needless to say, they have our business going forward!

The AAA Auto Center in Grandview was able to come in under quoted price and time and used OEM parts. I am very pleased with Steve and Jim. Hopefully I wont have to see them for head gasets on my Subaru Outback again (24k miles / 24 month warranty if so) but I will be recommending them in the future.
