After receiving five quotes, I recently chose Fire & Ice to replace my 20 year-old AC. I found their salesman/estimator, Roger, to be knowledgeable, honest, professional, and responsive to my concerns. I also felt he took the most time to determine the appropriate measurements of my home for proper AC sizing. The installers, Lane and Tikka, were similarly professional, competent, timely, and respectful of my home. They showed up wearing masks, wore shoe covers, and laid down blankets to protect my hardwood floors. They left my basement and outside areas as clean as they found them, and took time to answer my questions and explain to me how to use my new humidifier/thermostat upon completion. Since I can’t comment on the quality of the installation just yet (since it was just installed yesterday and summer is about over), I will update this review next year once I see how everything holds up in the middle of our hottest days. Aesthetically however, everything looks nice, well-done, and well-sealed. Thanks Fire & Ice!

We had 2 AC systems relocated and replaced. Roger (our sales contact), spent most of the day with us calculating the load and measuring the house to ensure proper equipment sizing. Roger was very responsive in helping select a proper and sound location to install the new systems. He came out 3 times to answer questions and inspect the retaining wall/pad. On the day of install, Bryan, Nick and Luke were on time and very respectful of the home. They worked tirelessly the entire day (8am - 6pm) removing the old evaporator(s) and installing the new compressors. Everything was done neatly both inside and out. I would highly recommend their service to anyone considering a new system(s).

These guys were prompt, professional and got the job done! Not only was the install super clean with an impressive 4 fitting duct bend sealed tight, but I needed to work from home during the install and I barely heard them throughout the day. Brad was very informative and up front on cost. He was not a high pressure salesman and listened to our needs to get the best system for our home. Daniqua and Bill were very professional and knowledgeable. They did an excellent job on our air conditioner installation and were very pleasant to interact with. It was very comfortable having them working in our home. They had a positive attitude. They were also very tidy and cleaned things up very well. I would be happy having them in our home anytime.

Jimmy was the representative that came to my home. He arrived on time and was focused on the job at hand. He provided clear feedback on the maintenance check and did not try sell me other equipment or services that I know werent needed. He provided great tips for maintaining an even temperature throughout my home.Lastly, Jimmy went above and beyond his role when he noticed the handle on my door was loose as he went to exit to check the A/C, he grabbed a screwdriver and tightened the handle! Clearly not his job, but he did it.Cant say enough good things about my experience with this company and this technician.

Lane and Nick installed a new AC and furnace at our house. Their work was exceptional and they were great to have at our home. The work took longer than we thought because of problems due to the location of some of our piping and ducts. Even though they were here until after dark, they both worked without hurrying and we were very happy with the results.

We had Luke (sales) and Josh (install manager) come out to our home (more than once - at our request) to price out central heating and air; and to figure out the layout for the duct work since none existed. They were very generous with their time and clearly enjoy what they do.We just had our new system installed and I cant tell you how happy I am with the results. Doug and his team did an absolute amazing job installing everything. I can usually typically spot work that was hastily done. I couldnt find any. I checked every perfectly taped seam and every wire connection. My basement was clearly not designed for duct work but you would never know it. Im 62 and I can literally walk around anywhere in my basement without ducking.Ill be sure to update if any issues arrive but honestly Im confident that even if they do, itll be taken care of by their phenomenal customer service. The entire process of having a new furnace and air conditioner installed was awesome. Scheduling the estimate was quick and easy and I didnt have to wait on availability. The estimate was very thorough, and Bryan was extremely helpful in explaining everything.Install was just a few days later based on my schedule (they could have installed sooner) and the install technicians (Bryan, Alontae, Von) were awesome. Very professional and courteous, adhering to local health guidelines the entire time. They also had somebody come out and take photos and videos of the install so they could use it in their training. They took the time to ensure everything was installed properly (my old install wasnt). They were also very helpful to show me everything about the system and new thermostat before they left.Bryan followed up with me a week later and stopped in to check on the install. Hes awesome and having a tech come out and tweak a couple things (humidifier and thermostat) to ensure everything runs properly!

Luke came by today to follow up on our install. He was there when he said he would be and answered all of our questions. Luke is very professional and has taken great care of us. The entire experience was good. From the initial phone call for information and service scheduling to the actual technician service call everything was top notch. I was in need of a new HVAC system and was obtaining quotes for replacement. Roger from Fire and Ice came to evaluate and provide a quote. He did an in-depth evaluation of my condo and current system. Once completed he suggested the system I needed and also provided me with options for financing.Having a condo can make installation difficult We are at the mercy of the builder. My furnace is in a utility closet that was going to make removal of old and new installation difficult. I was so impressed with his ability to evaluate the installation process and overcoming obstacles that may be a problem on installation day. The other company did not even consider installation.The quotes were so close in replacing.But offering financing ( other quote did not) and anticipating installation difficulties (other did not) and even ease of filter replacement (other did not) was impressive.Roger was a true professional and expert. We recently purchased a new home and unfortunately the previous owners had allowed the AC until to be used as a bathroom for their pets. We tried working through our home warranty company which ended up not going anywhere so we got online to find a company who could help us. We are so glad that we chose Fire & Ice. They first sent out a technician (Jimmy) to look at the system, and right away he determined the issue and that due to the age of the system (20 years) and type of refrigerant it was using it was time for a new unit. In addition they discovered that the furnace system was even older, about 40 years, and that it was not working as efficiently as possible and recommended a new heating system, especially due to the fact that the furnace system was becoming a carbon monoxide producer. The technician who initially came out was very helpful in talking through all of the issues and worked with us to get a salesperson out. The salesperson (Roger) was so great to work with, he was measuring items in the house to determine exactly what we needed and talk through all of the options we had. We settled on what units we wanted and within a couple of days the install crew was at our house to install the new systems. The install crew was also fantastic, Floyd and Daniqua. They made sure everything was taken care of, and took the time to do it. They were at our home for a long day, did a great job cleaning up everything, and even took the time to walk us through the systems, noting what filters we needed and how to actually operate all of them. We cannot say enough good things on this company, they absolutely stand behind everything they say and we would do business with them again. We definitely will recommend them to friends and neighbors.

We had a complete new HVAC system installed while we were on vacation in July 2021. When we returned, there was a drain pipe from the AC drain that was placed in an inconvenient place across my laundry room. I expressed my concern to Luke, our Sales rep when he came back to check on our new HVAC. He wanted to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the install as it was a major investment for us with custom duct work too, so he immediately worked to arrange a time for them to come out and install an evaporator drain pump, and reroute the pipe in the ceiling so it would no longer be a tripping hazard. This is why we chose them in the first place; their customer service is impeccable, and they truly do care about your satisfaction. I know they are incredibly busy in the summer months but I never felt they were rushing the quality of their work. Thank you Luke & team!

We needed the filter replaced but he did not have one in his truck so he had one delivered and while we were waiting for the new filter he went over the functionality of the thermostat and helped me better understand how my HVAC system works. Billie and the rest of the team that I have worked with from the beginning are excellent and thorough, 5 Star experience with these guys.

They are great and on time. Came out to check the AC unit earlier this summer. Cleaned it up and put new filters, it ran beautiful… a few weeks later it went out again and they cam and looked at it for free. Really good communication and they send you a picture of the person who will service the unit before they get you your house.

The only technician we ALLOW to touch our units is BILLY. He is great. Has knowledge. Teaches. Great attitude and customer service. Really looks out for the investment my elderly mother has made. Takes out the time in his visit to put her at ease. Great service.

Great service with an AC upgrade at no cost due to unavailable equipment. Very efficient unit. Floyd and Installers worked all day (14 hrs) to complete the installation. Our old brick home (120 y) was a challenge to cut through for proper venting, but all done to specs. Unit is exceptionally quiet. Bryan inspected and made recommendations to programming to keep the house comfortable on on floors. Very satisfied.

Very pleased with Jimmy’s service on our ductless heating/AC system. This unit is in an addition, and while we needed him to come out twice to resolve the problem, we weren’t charged for the second visit and haven’t had a problem since. In addition, while Jimmy was here, he heard the AC unit for the main house making some troubling noise and checked it out/did some repairs for us. He explained the issue thoroughly and was honest with his prediction of the lifespan for the unit on the main house. I appreciated his dedication and willingness to address issues on both units despite only being called out for the one. I’d certainly recommend his service!

Billy was the best service technician that I have dealt with in my 15 years of living in Columbus. He was determined to make sure that the unit was working properly. He spent most of the day working to make sure that the unit was installed properly and that everything was up to code and working accurately with no leaks. When he got stuck he called Josh (supervisor) to come out and help (who came from his home off hours). Josh and Billy did not end up leaving until 8:30 PM and fix all of the issues with class and expertise. These gentlemen took pride in their work and deserve to be acknowledged. This review is late in coming! I had Fire & Ice come out and just check over our A/C to make sure everything was functioning OK before we hit the high temps. Jimmy came out on 5/24/21, right on time. He was VERY informative and personable. His friendliness and knowledge made me very comfortable when he was looking at everything. He recommended a few preventive maintenance things we can do ourselves if we wanted to. Going to have the furnace looked at later this year and will be requesting that its Jimmy that comes back! I am a new first time home buyer and my AC unit wasnt working properly, I didnt know how or what I was going to do to fix it, I called fire and ice they explained everything I needed to know that day got me scheduled and set up no pressure no interest on installment plans. Luke, a representative arrived on time, listened and assessed our needs, presented information about the company and gave us furnace replacement choice and price. To our surprise, the new unit could be installed very quickly. Bryan and Brett arrived earlier then expected, a very positive aspect of good service. After the instillation, Bryan explained and demonstrated what had been done to bring the system up to code. A week later, Luke came back to check on the install. The install team (Lane, Nick, and Luke) did a great job keeping me up-to-date on their progress. They were here for about 8 or 9 hours, working continuously(even through a torrential thunderstorm). They installed a new AC unit, furnace, humidifier, whole house dehumidifier, smart thermostat, and some ductwork in the basement. They left the site clean and were very courteous throughout the process. My only small complaint is that we picked up a few new dings in the drywall of our finished part of the basement, probably when the old furnace was removed. If this happened upstairs, my reaction would be different but we need to repaint the basement anyway and will patch everything then. All their pluses outweigh that small thing so you’re still 5 star in my opinion. I’d use Fire and Ice again.

Kyle is the best! After hours call for AC not working. The company who installed the unit couldn’t get anyone to our house for over 5 DAYS!Fire and Ice was recommended by a coworker. I called and gave my info for an emergency house call. 10 minutes later Kyle called. Less than An hour later my AC was repaired! Price was super reasonable (especially considering it’s after 9 pm) No fuss, no gimmicks and super nice. Kyle you’re our hero! 🥳

Very patient, explained the problems, discussed options, provided explanation for all my many questions, and treated me with compassion as I came to terms with the unexpected expenses. Completely knowledgeable professionals in every position, they made me feel more comfortable & confident in my decision to contract them for my home. I got a brand new AC, furnace, and thermostat installed and just 1 week in its SO much better! I know I made the right choice, and its going to last me maybe as long as the previous system did (over 2 decades maybe).Roger B is an awesomely knowledgeable guy to consult, he knows his stuff. And Im sure all of their techs are well-trained & competent, but trust me: you want Lane & Daniqua as your install/repair team. They did such an amazing and thorough job, not a single thing wasnt addressed while they were here.Am I going to call Fire & Ice up for yearly maintenance & such? YOU BET.

Jimmy was great. Phoned and text to let us know he was on his way. We needed a pound of refrigerant and we were back up and running. He does a great job and is super knowledgeable.

On a Thursday before a holiday weekend in the summer is not a great time to have your air conditioning go out. We called Fire and Ice expecting we wouldnt be able to get a service call until next week--but they promised someone would be out on Friday and thats exactly what happened. It also turned out our situation was more complicated for a variety of reasons which required far more time than originally planned. Again, I would have expected wed be told theyd have to come back next week--but Isaac and Jimmy stayed until the work was completed--late on a Friday night. Both were incredibly polite and professional, explaining what had happened and the steps they were taking to fix it. Instead of being treated like an inconvenience, we felt like valued customers who they were genuinely interested in helping. That level of service seems rare these days and we were incredibly grateful. I think they were as happy as we were when the air conditioning came on and our house started to cool again. If youre looking for a rare blend of responsiveness, expertise and customer service, Fire & Ice is the place to call.

From scheduling to the service itself customer service is clearly a priority for this company. The tech, Davon, gave plenty of notice to when he was coming and was well within the appointment window. He diagnosed the issue and, although he didnt have the replacement part on hand, was able to procure the part and return the next day. His determination to fix the issue and the clear manner that he explained it was very helpful. Based on this experience, I would definitely recommend this company to solve your HVAC issues.

Old AC went out and Fire and Ice sent out people my wife and I was very impressed with from the start. I wish the crew had cards to hand out cause Im old and cant remember their names and they deserve a reward for being the best darn (keeping it clean lol) crew, not only did they wear those little booties on their shoes but they put a tarp down (even down the stairs) to protect our carpets. They were very friendly and polite as they installed the new AC. My wife and I thought about getting quotes and now are glad we didnt cause the workmanship and respect to us and our home was worth every penny spent and we will be letting our friends and family know about the wonderful service (from the thank you card from the owner to the caring employees at Fire and Ice).Thank you....we truly feel we got our moneys worth.

Fire & Ice did a great job replacing the blower motor on my dads furnace. Of course the motor decided to quit during the first hot spell which is a very busy time for all heating and A/C companies. We were able to get someone to come out the same day we called and diagnose the problem. They confirmed that they had the part and could replace it in about a week. Everyone we dealt with at the company was very pleasant and knowlegeable.

At the begning, I was mad about how I was charged for checking the issue with my AC unit. The tech checked the air temperature and the refrigerator. He told me its low and recommended me to replace it as its leaking. I accepted his recommendation but I have no money to replace it this time. But he charged me (diagnostic and labor) $256, diagnostic was only $89. Later, the manager, Jared, called me and fix the issue, and he will reimburse my $167 labor charge. Its all good now and its good to have someone who listens your concern and fix it. I have no problem doing business with this company!!!Thank you Jared!!!
