Unbelievably bad service. Had a scheduled maintenance appointment for today between 12 & 4. Get a phone call that went to voicemail because I didn’t have my phone on me from the tech (Matt) at 12:03 who says he can’t come out until he makes contact with me & he will try back in 5 minutes. Of course, I didn’t get that call either. At 12:15 I called the tech (Matt) back who is not answering his phone and get sent to his voicemail which is FULL. Clearly, Matt doesn’t want to be working today (a Saturday) and made up this bogus contact issue. Have had a service contract with Favret for 5 years now and not once has a tech pulled this. I had this time blocked off for this service to be done and I am furious with Favret for this poor customer service. Will be contacting the office on Monday to discuss this and cancel our service.

If you are using Favret for maintenance, youll be a paying a premium, but youll likely get a competent technician, and quality service.However, I would NOT under any circumstances recommend Favret for the purchase/installation of ANY new equipment, if you value your money and a reasonable level of transparency with the companies you do business with.I say this based on a recent interaction with a sales rep (who is one of the Favret family members). According to said sales rep, Favret will not break down installation costs into parts and labor.Meaning that, if you want to see THREE (3) simple numbers on your estimate, that look like this:Parts = XLabor = YTotal = X+YDont hold your breadth. You wont get it.This is intentionally done to hide the extremely high markup they put on the parts they sell. I fully realize that entire nature of this industry is extremely anachronistic and shady, but some companies are willing to price gouge more than others.In the end, I used a Carrier certified competitor, and had the EXACT same unit installed for ~1,000 less than what Favret quoted. Furhermore, the sales rep gave me at least some semblance of the cost breakdown into parts and labor.My recommendation...steer clear of Favret unless you have no other option.

When I moved into my condo community in March 2017, I was not looking forward to finding all the technicians needed to maintain your appliances and the things that run the home. I was told by my new neighbors that everyone in the immediate group that Favret was the place I wanted to go for anything that was needed for that. I have been so impressed with each pf the techs that have come out to do regular maintenance and the 2 times there were issues they nwe on it quickly. As today, my house was 87 degrees and Larry was able to come in the later afternoon and within the hour he had a part replaced, Which he had on his vehicle. He then finished with another issue and my condo is working its way back to normal. He wa so genuine and I got the feeling he r really loved what he does. I couldnt think of another tech that have ever had do work for me that made me feel so relieved and calm. I would tell anyone who would listen that these people are the real deal!!! Thank you so much!!!

Our first experience with Favret, and were happy we chose to ask them to come out to evaluate our AC. It was not blowing cool air. Larry Short was very professional in assessing our HVAC and determined the appropriate remedy. Now we are waiting for estimate for work that needs done to correct the air conditioning problem, which I feel confident that Favret will be able to do in a reasonably priced and competent manner. Good job Larry, and nice to be working with an excellent company like Favret!

Our family has been using Favret since the 1960’s. The company is wonderful. I always ask for Larry Short to be the technician that services our Furnace and Air Conditioner twice a year. I have requested him for years. He is easy to talk with, and has always been honest about what needs replaced or fixed immediately or what can wait a season or two. We use to have a very complicated heating and cooling system at our house, Larry took the time to educate himself on the special nuances of that system. Last year we had Favret put a new system in for us. I’m sure anyone of their techs. could service our new system, but I still request Larry.

Favret management is very unprofessional. They were paid $150 for routine furnace service. They could not provide service, and would not apply a credit to a future service call. When asked for credit they were defensive and unending. They hung up on me when I asked them to reconsider. I got the feeling that they care very little for customers, and that they are very unwelcoming.

He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and always on time! Whether its maintenance or help with ordering filters etc, he always does an amazing job!

We were charged $150 for a service maintenance that could not be performed. We bought a new home, and didnt realize that our furnace was installed incorrectly. Favrets technician looked at our furnace, performed no maintenance or work, and gave us a bill for $150. The technician was at our house for less than 5 minutes. We went through the process of having Favret quote a reinstall of our existing furnace. To their benefit, it is amazing that they were willing to perform this service instead of demanding to install a new furnace. We considered letting Favret perform this service, because we had already paid them $150 with absolutely no maintenance or service performed. We found another company that was able to reinstall the furnace correctly for $600 less than Favrets quote. We then asked Favret to apply some portion of the $150 already paid to them for absolutely no work done to a future service call that they could be able to perform. They met this request with a defensive attitude, and hung up on me after I asked them to reconsider applying any portion to a future bill. We were even offered the current promotion for service which is a better price than anything I would have accepted as a fair application of any portion of the $150 that we were billed even though no work or service was performed. There is an ethical principle that needs to be addressed here. A company should not exploit their customers situations, and demand full payment for work that cannot be performed. Instead of being a caring and understanding company, Favret was an unwelcoming, exploitive heating and cooling service provider. I would gladly pay $150 again for service unperformed, so that I could get the opportunity to warn my neighbors about Favrets business practices in case someone cant afford $150 for service not performed.

Had a great experience with Favret. Our air conditioning was not cooling right called Favret around 3 pm to get service. They offered same day service, and the tech (Ed) arrived about an hour later. He quickly determined the issue, and promptly replaced the capacitor. Air worked immediately, and house cooled to normal within a few hours. Great service,!

Had a major malfunction of our furnace that caused carbon monoxide to leak into our house they were here in 35 min diagnosed the problem we made the decision not fix but to replace had a new furnace operating in 24 hrs. while waiting to get the job done they delivered several portable electric heaters. best thing we ever did was have favret as our go to company. great job Terry,Pat Mark,Joel and Dean Keith lohr

Our furnace went out this evening, after normal work hours, as temps are dropping into the teens tonight. Called the emergency number and talked to Matt, who came out and found the problem and replaced the part in about 20 minutes. Thanks Matt. Love keeping that 28 year old furnace going!

My family had used this company for decades but will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. Phone calls are not returned. Requests for calls are ignored. Appointments are late if they come. Save yourself the stress and use someone else. And $250 for very little work done. Felt like they did a subpar service because the home is vacant.

I have been a contact customer for 17 years, never late, very courteous, wonderful people to do business with. Came home from vacation with 5 out of town family in tow to find my AC had died and the house was 88 degrees at 7PM, called the office, got the after hours people. Rick was on call, showed up in an hour and fixed the problem in 10 minutes under warranty.WHAT MORE CAN YOU EXPECT!!!!!!LOVE EM!!!

The price on our new furnace and air conditioner was fantastic- a couple thousand dollars less and slightly more efficient that what wed have gotten with someone else. I also felt like they werent giving me a pushy sales pitch- just the info I needed in terms of efficiency with specific brands and models. Id highly recommend getting a cost estimate from Favret.

Although Favret was a decent place to work, it was my coworkers that I enjoyed being around. The company fired me for no reason, although they tried to say it was because I refused a drug screen. After I shot that idea down, Matt Favret tried to say I did some shoddy work because I forgot to hook up low voltage to a secondary drain pan in an attack, the service tech/ start up guy caught it before the unit was started, and no damage was done. At that point they were making things up. Oh well I made $20,000 more for the year after they fired me. Thanks Favret, your firing me was really a blessing.

Favret performs semi-annual maintenance on my heating and cooling equipment. Greg is timely, courteous, and is very thorough. In addition, Favret has installed all of our HVAC equipment for two different houses over the last 20 years. They are very responsive to our requests for estimates and installation. I diddnt mine paying for the diagnosis of the problem and the installation which you know is not that cheap itself ....then they screw you over on the price of the part .Do some price checking on the parts first they will rip you off on the price of parts they got me good it wont happen again . We work hard for our money it just bothers me to have to pay a markup on parts and it is not just a little in my case it was more than double the price but at the time you sitting here with your furnace not working and you need it fixed and they know that.... my advice find another company

My mom recently had her furnace replaced by Favret and they were wonderful. This was after Fire and Ice told her the size she needed didn’t exist and she would have to replace her AC, as well, for an extra $3000. Favret sent a rep out that day and he was helpful in explaining our options. They couldn’t do the replacement the next day so the rep went out and got a couple nice space heaters so my mom would be warm and her pipes didn’t burst. He helped her get them set up, too. They came the following day and did an excellent job with the replacement and the furnace is working perfectly. My mom and I are both very grateful for their excellent work and kindness. It’s hard to trust some companies, especially for older adults who some people take advantage of. My mom and I both highly recommend them. Thank you, Favret!

I have now been a Favret customer for a little over a year after renewing the maintenance contract the previous owners had in place. So far, I’ve been impressed with the level of service provided. The inducer in my furnace is starting to go bad and the first technician I had last winter wasn’t able to identify the issue but the second technician I had was able to identify it right away. During all service calls, the technicians were very professional, timely and informative. They were happy to answer any question I had and educate me on best practices to help me keep my HVAC system running its best. I feel that Favret offers an excellent service and plan to utilize Favret for years to come.

Our AC started blowing lukewarm air today and Favret had a tech at my house servicing my system late into the evening. Willie did a fantastic job. He had a great attitude, was extremely knowledgeable, worked efficiently, and was even kind enough to teach me a few things regarding the inner workings of an HVAC system. We have had the Favret Annual Service Contract and it is a wonderful service! We pay one fee and it covers 2 service visits - one in early Spring to service the air conditioner & one in the Fall for the furnace. They check everything thoroughly & do yearly maintenance so that the units are running well. If we have any problems in between these scheduled visits (& weve only had one minor issue int he past 7-8 years) then we get priority appointments & no labor charges. On top of that - In the many years that we have used Favret I have never encountered an employees who were anything but very pleasant!

We have had a service contract with Favret since we rebuilt our house in 2010. We always get efficient service for each check in the fall/winter and in the spring/summer. One day our air conditioner went out right before a party and it was over 80 degrees. I called and a serviceman was at our home within an hour. It was fixed in a half hour and it hardly even affected us at the party. We were so thankful!

Had a service contract with them. Need an emergency service the tech was so rude and didn’t want to come out. After that experience I went with Atlas butler, they cost more and work on commissions so they hustle hard but they worked regular hours on weekends and Evenings. I pay more but don’t have to take a day off work.

I have used Favret for many years. In the 1990s, my furnace needed work and Favret was only company that was able to fix it. I have used the company since then and found that the check-ups done twice yearly have paid off. One year, my furnace needed a part that was still under warranty, although time was about to expire on warranty. That saved me a lot of money. Also, when there has been a problem with heat in winter, they are quick to respond.

When I bought my home in 2000 the furnace there had been installed and regularly serviced by Favret so I kept using them for all my service and yearly maintenance. They kept that furnace working well long past its freshness date. I eventually broke down and got a new furnace and a/c and they did a great job installing, including improving air flow for a/c to the upstairs. Im in a new home now and still use them, great service.

I called Favret to see if I could get on their schedule as our heater has stopped functioning. The technician was out to our house within an hour and took less than an hour to do the job. Andre was an excellent technician, thorough, answered all my questions, was tidy and worked efficiently and in a timely manner. Our heater was repaired (the motor was not functioning) in less an hour and the price was excellent and reasonable. Thank you for great service. I would highly recommend Favret to others.

Its a shame to see bad reviews about this great company, as it seems people expect service technicians driving 10mpg or less service vehicles to make free service calls. I believe in loyalty and knew they had a good reputation when I had my HVAC installed for 2 furnaces and air conditioning units for my large home. Favret heating & cooling has several billing issues they refuse to address with me.1) They mailed to me two falsified invoices with a due amount after I signed it with no due amount. I have the signed pink original to prove it.2) They didnt provide an estimate per state law for said above due amount. I have the signed pink original to prove it.3) They billed me $250 for a loaner Thermostat s/n TH6220D1028 which theyve taken back and am quite certain is in their inventory (They falsified the s/n and amount after I signed. I have the pink signed original to prove it.)4) They billed me several hundred dollars for maintenance under warranty as they had to re-do installation work that was causing water to leak into the furnace. I paid Favret several thousand dollars for a new A/C & Furnace 2 years ago plus I pay them for annual maintenance.5) They wont call me to take care of the problem....Ive made call after call to the person in charge of these problems.....he tried to call me back once and we missed each other and since then will not return phone calls. Ive been very patient to no avail. Next step is the Attorney General Consumer Protection.

Very poor customer service! There was one gentleman who was pleasant and clearly took pride in his work, but unfortunately his efforts were washed away by all of the other unprofessional staff at Favret. I left several messages about my experience with their Project manager, and they were not addresses. Their Billing representative called me and basically treated me like an idiot, when really, he was the one who was in the dark about my whole experience. They obviously had no communication and it was obvious that they had no desire to provide good customer service.They also worked very dirty. My finished basement floor was disgusting after they were finished. I should have gone with Water Works, their staff is very professional and knowledgeable, and the put shoe coverings on in order to protect the floor. Their prices were what made me choose Favret, but it is obvious that quality was sacrificed.

I have been using Favret since I purchased my condo in spring of 2015. They were here servicing my furnace for winter in November and found that my furnace was not working properly. They educated me on my options and advised what the best route would be. This was very much appreciated, as I am a single homeowner that knows little to nothing about HVAC systems. I ended up buying a new furnace through Favret. They installed it within a few days before it got extremely cold out. It would have been very easy for Favret to take advantage of my lack of knowledge and sell me products I did not actually need. Instead, they took this opportunity to educate me and help me purchase just what I needed. I look forward to working with Favret more in the future!

I see there are some negative comments from a few folks on here about Favret. I can only speak to the wonderful technical that came out to my house to fix a problem that neither Atlas or another HVAC company could identify. Andre (#366) was the most knowledgeable and honest guy and he showed me what my problem had been all along and it made total sense after looking at what had been happening for several years. My AC has not had a problem since he made the repairs back in 2013. I would HIGHLy recommend Andre to fix anyones AC or heating problems.

Never again, I was charged 300% mark up on parts, and paid 2 hours travel time to get the parts. Apparently 300% is standard mark up on parts for them. I have been in the construction industry for over 20 years, this is not standard. Dont waste your money.

I called for emergency service over the weekend when my heat went out and it was 20 degrees. They never showed up or called to tell me they werent coming. When I called back when it opened, I spoke to two employees who never apologized or even acknowledged why no one came out to the house for the appointment. Poor customer service.

Im 74 years old with a warranty from a very expensive unit I had installed recently.Unit went out last week on 15 degree day.They sent out a guy that parked in front of the house for 20 mins before coming in.Goes to cross space in house for 5 mins before coming up to announce that I needed a filter that he didnt have and I owe him 150 bucks.Told me to go to store and put filter in myself for 150 bucks.True Story.Stay away from these lazy scammers!!!.Do it yourself like their worker told me at 74 years old

When we built an addition onto our house in 1994, our general contractor had Favret install a new high-efficiency furnace and AC to serve the whole house. Ive relied on Favret ever since for solving the few problems weve had over the years. As our HVAC system aged, I started buyng their service contract every year to be sure everything stays in good working order. The service techs who come twice yearly to check out our system are invariably friendly, knowledgeable, and very thorough. A Favret service contract is a good investment!

We have used Favret for 24 years and they replaced our system 8 years ago. Just had a problem with my AC unit on a 95 degree day. Called Monday morning, scheduled a tech for 12p-4p, tech (Jerry the old guy) arrived at 1pm diagnosed the problem returned with at part by 6p and was up and running by 6:30p. Part was under warranty so total labor was $200. Probably not the cheepest but alway great service for us.

Called them on clogged drainage pipe of AC unit issue. One of their tech showed up for little more than an hour of work. He suggested that we put in 1lbs of freon. He says it is no more than $40 to do so. Little over an hour later he submits my sister with $320 bill. The AC tech says You call Cynthia over at the office and she will give you a plan that will possibly spread the payment over 12mo plan and reduce it down as well. I ask what that plan entails and he says Its like monthly service plan you sign up. We come out and check the AC once a month to make sure everything is tip top shape. I refuse this and ask him to have his office call me regarding this absurd service fee.Hours goes by no call. So I call Cynthia at this company. She explains that labor charges were over $220 and it is Standard Fees Little over an hour of work and it is simple unclogging of pipe and recharging mere 1lbs of freon justifies $320 service bill she says. I tell her to have her manager in charge call me once they figure out the HONEST FEE for their HONEST SERVICE and that reason why I called them again was because they have installed overpriced water heater the prior winter.A week goes by, no call from anybody from this company. Then they have an audacity to send me a collection letter from one of their law office. This company represents all that is corrupt in this society. They see their customers, return customer at that, as nothing but a quick opportunity to make profits unjustified ways.Send me more collection letters! Your company wont see a dime of it. Hands down the worst service, customer service or lack of we have ever experienced. Called them to repair our Carrier Geo Thermal system. They came out on 1/18, ran some checks, chgd the air filter w/one we had & said we needed a new control board. Charged us $344 for the service. Stated theyd be back to install when part comes in.Didnt get a call or any status updates, so I called back 10 days later on 1/28, woman who answered the phone was curt. Explained my situation, she transferred me to Dispatch. Susan in Dispatch stated the part is on order, there is a national shortage, manufacturer is currently having the control board made & the part SB available on 1/31. Favret requested overnight delivery, anticipating delivery on 2/1 & they will schedule install appt once they receive item.On Monday, 2/4 after not hearing from them, I called. Susan stated part was due in around noon. She will schedule appt once item is recd. I asked if we could go ahead & schedule now while we were on the phone. Scheduled for later in the day. Yay! Jim came out around 3:45pm.Jim was a cantankerous man to say the least. He was defensive & argumentative. Turns out it was for our benefit. As his service manager directed him to install a faulty control board. His remarks on the service report were -1) installed control board in heat package as directed.2) works for now3) have questions for manufacturerMy system was not working, I was confused by the remarks, so I called Favret the next afternoon. I requested to speak to Jims supervisor. I was transferred to John. I asked John to explain the comments on the service report. (Not sure Favret would have followed up with me). John stated there was a switch missing on the control board. I asked him what they were going to do & clarified that Jim was directed to install a broken control board.John stated he needed to discuss with Jim and the manufacturer. He will have the manufacturer overnight a new control board if it was defective. They will be in contact with me.3 days later, 2/8 after lack of status updates, I called again. John stated he got a picture from Jim & yes, the control board is faulty. He stated he will contact the manufacturer (Climate Master) and have them overnight the part & (after asking for a follow-up call), he agreed to call me Monday.Monday, 2/11 John called. He stated he called the manufacturer, they agreed to send out a new control board & dispatch will contact me when the part arrives to schedule install.2/15, 4 days later and no calls from Favret (guess the part wasnt overnighted), I called them. John was out, so I spoke with Deb. Deb looked into my situation and stated part will be in Monday & they will call to schedule install.2/19 over a month later, still a broken heat pump & with no sense of concern, empathy or urgency from Favret, I once again called them. Spoke with Susan. She stated part was due in today/tmrw & scheduled the install for 2/20.Terrible experience & costing us additional money each day as our broken system continuously runs in an auxiliary mode thru electricity verses the heat pump. And additional electricity to run the space heaters we are using to try to stay warm.Cold & Frustrated With Favret!

I chose Favret for service because they had installed my unit for the prior owners. I warned them that there was a nest thermostat and verified the models of furnace and humidifier. They didnt bring parts/filters for anything, and the tech didnt know how to work the nest. I ended up figuring it out myself. He also lost wire nuts that I had to buy and replace. As he was leaving he told me to make sure I tighten the pipe or it would leak all over the place. Isnt that his job? I wouldnt recommend Favret to anyone. Premium prices with subpar service.

I have used Favret for many years and have been very pleased. I am on the maintenance plan and the technicians have always been on time and very professional. I had an enormous electric bill a few summers ago (turned out a mistake by AEP) and called Favret to come check my air conditioner to see if it was pulling too much electricity. They came and checked my unit throughly and found nothing wrong, did not even charge me!

We first bought a Heating/Cooling system in the early 1980s. It worked as expected for 31 years. We recently bought our second system from Favrett. We expect it to go another 30yrs. We always get the service contract for our systems. The team at Favrett are always on top of the quality. The sales and installation and service are tops.

Left a message for Favret Heating and Cooling Systens on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Bill W. of Favret returned my call within minutes....I was impressed!I told Bill that the fan on our furnace was blowing cold air. No heat. If you remember, Sunday morning the temps were in the high 40s. I explained that the gas meter was moved to the outside of our house. The pipefitters lit the pilot light on the gas dryer and hot water tank. He wasnt sure about the furnace.Bill walked me through all the steps to re-starting the furnace. He assured me that it would be safe to re-set the (red) button. The smell of heat was WONDERFUL!Bill made our day! He didnt need to come out and he walked me through the steps! My family is grateful!And Bill said there was no charge.Thank you so much!

How did it go? Painfully. Heres my experience; take heed. Favrets first 30 minutes of inspection costs roughly $5/minute. Every minute thereafter is roughly $3/minute. The conflict of interest is we customers want the worker to work efficiently and effectively because were paying a lot of money per minute (like paying a highly skilled lawyer), while Favret earns more revenue by working slowly and wasting time. I hired Favret to install our HVAC in 2010 after normally using Atlas Butler b/c a friend was a salesman. Five years later we had a LOUD screeching sound so Favret made an adjustment, which was noted on my service record on their computer system. This past December (2018) the same LOUD screeching noise returned so we called for service, but this time we no longer had labor warranty. We were told if the service person discovered that a replacement part was needed the labor clock would pause until the job could be completed. Since we told Favret it was the exact sound from 2015 we assumed the service person would immediately know what was needed by looking at our service record from 2015. Nope. He took 15 minutes to diagnose the issue, which was the same issue, and went to his truck and sat for TEN MINUTES ordering the part. TEN MINUTES!! $50 of mine to order my part!! Inconceivable. Youd think he could text the part needed in 20 seconds, but I paid $50 to Favret for him to sit in his truck for $5/minute for 10 minutes at my house. REALLY? I asked the service person if I paid for his truck-time and he said Yep. I said we were at 25 minutes and understood the labor clock paused until he returned with the part. He said Nope. If it makes you feel better, I can go into your furnace room and stand for 5 minutes. Cocky and rude! Its my $150 for 30 minutes not his, and he clearly couldnt care less. Interestingly, when the service guy finished and I owed roughly $200 for the job, he whipped out his smartphone, swiped my card, I signed and the payment transaction was completed in 30 seconds. Yet, it took 10 minutes sitting in the truck and $50 of mine to order my part? Seems like technology was used to Favrets advantage, not mine. I called the service manager John who ultimately comped me 15 minutes ($45) but was clearly not remorseful regarding my experience. So I emailed my salesman friend, Jim, and copied John and Favrets owner and president, Phil Favret, but never heard from any of them (I called my friend to ensure theyd recd my email and they had), which proved to me that the message while on hold with Favret about family values and caring for customers since the 1920s no longer was true. I wont give Favret another dime and strongly encourage you to investigate other, likely smaller HVAC companies who still need to care about serving customers well.

Someone needs to call Favret Heating & Cooling that a homeless person stole one of their vans, came to my house, and tried to service my AC unit. Dear God. What a bad experience. I knew they were charging me by the hour, and boy did they try and milk me for every minute.I sat there in the basement and watched this guy work. For 15 minutes he was laying on his back just looking around. I swear he feel asleep. He then attempted to make small talk with me, and as he did ... he stopped working. Im glad I was paying him to chit chat. Turns out, even though I asked before I called, if they worked on my type of AC unit, they werent certified on it, and declined to quote me a price or make firm recommendations on repairs.Once he was done, he walked back to his van to fill out the paperwork. I paid for 10 minutes of him writing as I saw he added it to my bill. I made a mistake on their hourly rate (admittedly) so I questioned it, but the service person was extremely rude about it. After calling the home office to get confirmation that I was wrong, I went ahead and paid him. Once he got his money ... he just turned around and left. No, Thank you for your business, or anything.Favret ... Customer Service goes a long way. Tell your employees to tuck in their shirts (or at least button them up) and a Thank You can go a long way. Until then, you have lost my business forever.

Total ripoff and complete frauds. Tech claimed repairs would be $2-3k and I was better off buying a new unit for $7-8k. Had two other pros come by and confirm NOTHING was wrong with the unit. Stay away...I learned a very expensive lesson.

Tech got job done however customer service/courtesy was awful. The tech kept sternly lecturing us about changing out air filters. Customers want to be kindly informed and educated but they dont want to be talked down to and making them feel like children. The tech also used our kitchen sink to wash a furnace part without even asking when we wouldve preferred he use the bathroom sink. The tech also laid down his dusty drill and materials on our dining room table when we were trying to have lunch. Its obvious the dust is going to kick up into our food. Wont be using favret again due to techs lack of courtesy and respectfulness. Thankfully there are plenty of other HVAC companies to pick from for future incidences.

Discovered upon waking in the wee hours of the morning that the house was much colder than it should have been. I went down to check on the furnace and found that the blower wasnt kicking on.I called Favret the next morning and they told me that they could get a technician out between 10:00am and 2:30pm. However after only a few minutes they called to let me know that a technician was ready if I was.He arrived promptly and set to work diagnosing the problem with me annoyingly hovering over him, intrigued by the process, and asking all sorts of questions which he was more than happy to answer. In the end it turned out to be a simple problem with a simple remedy but one that would have taking me hours of trial and error and research to discover. When you pay for furnace repair youre likely going to be paying for knowledge and experience rather than manual labor.The technician also noticed that there were cracks in the casing and was kind enough to patch them up with sealant.All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Favret Heating & Cooling.

Called them to come check out furnace, replace the air filter and possible move the thermostat.We recently bought our house. It has a furnace in the attic that is not readily accessible and a thermostat in a guest bedroom.Technician shows up and tells my wife to go buy an air filter!! He is insistent and she does. When she comes back 30min later he gets out of his car and looks at the furnace and changes the filter. He then states it will costs thousand and thousands of dollars to change the location of the thermostat. My wife asks for an estimate. And he does not give her one. He bills us for 75 min of work (30 of which were my wife going to buy the air filter).I called the office to complaint and I receive an indifferent and dismissive answer.We will NEVER use this company again. Totally unprofessional.

Technician came out to change filters and do an overall systems check. Technician was adamant that our refrigerant was leaking out of one of our units and that it would cost over $2,000 to repair. I called another company to get a second opinion. Nothing wrong! Favret had another technician come out and said that the initial technician was using the wrong gauge and that everyone makes mistakes. I called the manager and said that if they stand by their work, they should pay for my bill from the other company since they originally misdiagnosed the problem that wasnt even there! He declined to make the situation right. I wont be using them anymore! Terrible service!

Called to schedule a repair due to what is now known to be a blown fuse in my HVAC unit. Since my unit is in the attic, they would need a ladder. Since the tech would have to carry the ladder 20 from his car to the house, they refused to schedule the repair. I offered to help the tech upon arrival and they still refused. I called Colonial heating and cooling instead, glad I did, saved $150 dollars.

Dont waste your time scheduling an appointment online. Even though their calendar system shows you can schedule on a weekend, they are actually closed on the weekends and dont check their email until Monday. I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday and even got a confirmation email from them. They never called, so I contacted their dispatch. After speaking with some third party phone company who took my contact info, I received a call shortly after from favret who proceeded to tell me they dont have any availiability. Go to Columbus Worthington Air. The folks at Favret wanted $145 for the first 30 minutes, and $45 every 15 minutes thereafter. CWAir only charges $85 for the first 30, and $120 every hour thereafter billed in 15 minute increments (so 30 bucks each 15 mins. ) Dont waste your time with Favret if its an emergency and on a weekend.
