Nail Candy is THE BEST nail shop that I have ever visited!!! All the nail artist are up to date with the latest nail designs. Any picture of a design that you bring to them, they can do!!! Plus they are highly skilled in doing their own designs. I will never allow anyone else to do my nails. The owners Suzanne and Paula are kind and welcoming. You cant go wrong getting your nails done by them or any of the other lovely ladies of Nail Candy.

This is definitely one of the best nail salons in the Baltimore area. The shop is beautifully decorated, with modern and trendy decor. All the techs are amazing, especially Jade. Any design I show her she can replicate and adds her own unique spin on it. Professional, welcoming atmosphere and is definitely worth the price for the quality service. You won’t be disappointed!

I was getting off work and on my way to my appointment when I got a text that I was a no show and would be required to pay a $50 no show fee on top of a $50 deposit for every appointment going forward. Granted I was 10 minutes late but I have been later and just made a phone call and have still been able to be seen. This was one of the only times I could get my nails done here that would work around my job schedule and when I told them I was around the corner they said that I would have to reschedule. I left work early just to get to this appointment on top of the fact that there was no courtesy call or anything before I was listed as a “no show” and required to pay fees. I kinda like going here so I’m pretty disappointed in the service...

ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH MY NAILS!!! For the first time in my life Im enamored with my hands and its all thanks to Jade at Nail Candy. I love that the products that they use are high-quality so I dont experience peeling and chipped polish or cracked nails. The shop is always on the cutting edge of nail design.LOVE that when I make an appointment, Jade is on schedule. On the rare occasion that she is running a little behind the receptionist will communicate with me, which makes me feel great.I can provide Jade with any design and she is able to recreate it. She always puts her own twist on it which I like because then it is unique to me. When Jade creates her own designs I am equally as pleased if not more than when I provide her with ideas.Everywhere I go I get compliments on my nails even when I need to get them done.After seeing the work of other artists at Nail Candy I can attest that they are all pretty damn amazing!! They create art on nails which is a rare find.Be prepared to spend more than you would at a local nail shop, but know that your nails will last longer than they would if you went to a local nail shop. To me paying the price for lasting nails is worth the cost.

Im a licensed nail tech and very particular about who I allow to do my nails. I have a regular appointment with Nail Candy every other week and I have no complaints. The ladies are always on time and ready for me at my appointment time and they get me in and out in a timely manner. The salon is very clean ( super important) and on trend with other nail Boutiques that youd find in LA or NYC. My nails are certainly and accessory and as with any other accessory I do believe you get what you pay for.

Nail Candy isn’t your typical “nail salon”, they are super up to date with all the trends and execution is nothing less than AMAZING !!! I get endless compliments on my nails. I have been a customer for the past 3-4 years now. I go every other week faithfully because of the quality, atmosphere, and friendliness of the staff. Finding a nail salon that takes hygiene seriously, as well as being able to deliver as far as talent is very far and few between in this area. I literally get stopped about my nails a few times a week. You do have to book your appointments ahead of time, as they are all booked for weeks out. I will never let another salon touch my nails!

I started coming to Susan & Paula over 6 years ago, and have been a faithful client ever since, and I currently have a standing bi-weekly appointment with Kristin. I have always had consistently great service and am always pleased with the service I receive. Whenever I have had to make changes to my standing appointments, they are always more than accommodating, and the front desk staff has always been professional. The decor is beautiful, and the atmosphere is lively, friendly, professional, and fun! I am always amazed at just how talented they all are, and the way they cater to each of their clients. They hustle, their work is top quality and is so popular purely by word of mouth and social media.When I tell you I have never walked out of a salon happier with my nails because Paula was open to my ideas and LISTENED to me is worth the price alone. I have asked for and shown what I wanted to other nail techs and been scoffed at and disappointed paying $50 for something totally different than what I had imagined. Paula made me feel like myself and comfortable in my own skin.So yeah, be prepared to call ahead and not get an appointment the day you call to make it. I love Nail Candy. This is not your average nail salon. Nail Candy service is high quality, on trend, and professional. Paula and Susan, the owners, take pride in their knowledge of the hottest nail services and art work. Every team member are truly creative artists, not just nail techs. The entire team are equally talented, not just the owners. The salon is extremely clean and everyone runs by appointment only. Theres a reason why I drive 40 minutes to get my nails done by the best.

They seem to forget they have competition and in this day and age you can and will lose your client base if you are not professional. This place has the worst customer service. They overcharge and the owners are careless with their services. They use apprentices on new clients Who perform a poor job, yet have the audacity to argue withe clients. Do not go there. They’re only amicable to their regular clients.

Have been going here for about a year. Love the girls and have never had a problem. For those questioning why it take so long as that they get booked up quickly and I make my next two appointments while I am there! You can call and get on a cancellation list too! And as far as the apprentice comments, they all learn at some point and I have had them do my nails and they did a Fantastic job! And what I like best is that I can have a conversation with the girls and not have someone speaking another language! Other salons I frequented have made me feel uncomfortable when I KNOW they are talking about me in their language! I have a spot of psoriasis on my leg and and when I get a pedi they all seem to come around and stare and talk about me! Go to Nail Candy and you feel like you are with family!

This establishment is overpriced for low quality service that you can receive literally at any local nail shop. After my horrible experience I reached out to the manager Kristen to discuss what happened with my nail tech Kelly Ha and instead of fixing the issue she was very egotistical, demeaning, and extremely reluctant to help. This establishment does not pride itself in customer service and quality service. What this establishment prides itself in is “ their look”. If you’re looking for a place that’s cute, with young girls that’s not your typical Asian nail shop then go here . But if you’re looking for quality service in all aspects, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. I came to this salon in good spirits and hopeful that I finally found a salon I could make my regular, then I went on their Instagram and viewed some of their work, not to mention I thought it was super cool that it was owned by all young mixed race women and it seemed like one of a kind nail boutique locally, but I was truly in for a surprise. I will say this, a successful establishment is not ran off of friendship, it’s runs successfully (primarily)from Good customer service amongst other things and they are truly lacking this in this establishment.I can only imagine how many dissatisfied customers came through this salon and felt the same after I did but did not voice it knowing the type of attitude that these young women would carry. They do not do well with constructive criticism AT ALL. They feel it’s their right to over charge for mediocre nails because of their weak technique, and “costly acrylic “ amongst whatever other bills they may have to pay because your surely not paying for quality nails. Anyway my nails were 110$ for a REGULAR full set with few designs. I wish I could upload a picture so the critics could judge for themselves. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Outrageously over priced!!!Was charged $115 ($50 mandatory deposit, additional $65 after service) for a full set that didnt include a manicure. I was completely dumbfounded. However, nails looked nice...just acrylic, clear gel and cut up foil paper.Not worth the finger pain from the overuse of the electric nail filer or your hard earned money.

It is very nice establishment but I was not happy with the quality of my nails. I got an overlay over my actual nail, they looked very nice once she was done and I was happy with what they did. Until two days later when my actual nails began to chip on multiple fingers. I am now a week out with my nails and 3 of them have broken (acrylic and actual nail chipped) and my what should be gel polish is pealing. I had to pay a $50 deposit and another $35, totaling $90 with tip for my nails to look right for only two days. And it took her 2 hours to complete my nail and I am very unhappy. I wanted to go back to get them fixed but the schedule conflicts to much with working hours and I’m honestly scared they will further mess my actual nails up.

While I will pay more for better quality, I do not appreciate the way I was treated, the girls are REALLY rude and pretentious. When telling the employee (Kathy Ha) what I wanted she made it very confusing and talked down to me. She began to yell, cut me off and interrogate me on the names of services and what they meant. I honestly felt humiliated and for no reason. If she wants to maintain a client base, she should know how to speak to clients. There is never anyone to check you in, one girl who waited at least 15 minutes before even being acknowledged walked back to say something and everyone ignored her except one employee who openly made fun of her as she walked away. If you have self respect, do not waste your time here.

Ruined my vacation.I booked an appointment for June 8th for my vacation to FL and June 28th for my birthday weekend. I go in today for my appointment and was told she booked me for the 8th of July. The 28th and the 8th are only 10 days apart and the last time I got my nails does was May 18. Great place for exotic designs but not when it comes to consideration.Because I wrote a negative review, they said I was not able to come back. If there was someone in charge of the business, the owner should have contacted me saying sorry for the inconvenience and offer 10 dollars off. They do not work over others work. It was frustrating going else where knowing what you told the women at the desk. Her reasoning for the mistake was June and July sound alike. Really?

Let me first say, I left out satisfied. However, it came with a cost. I was told via text that I wasnt the right fit for the shop. Im not sure what I did except expect quality service. I didnt raise my voice, curse, nor was I rude. Heres the rundown: I had to book my appointment 3-4 weeks in advance. My appointment was at 4 with Jade (who I now know just completed her apprenticeship). She started me at 4:20. That was fine. I had an appointment for a fill-in and I asked if I could get a manicure and she said no because I did not book one. I was a little annoyed but, I couldnt argue as she was right. I asked if my nails were long enough for a different shape, she assured me they were. This is where the appointment went south. She began to reshape my nails and once she finished the first hand, i realized the cut wasnt semetrical or appeasing. I asked if she was going to clean it up and make it even she reassured me she was. She continued to do the second hand. To her credit, she went back and attempted to clean it up. Some were okay. However, not all. Particularly, I was unsatisfied with my thumbs, middle fingers and one index finger. She continued to file which made it worse. When I pointed that out to her. Her response was, Maybe, I should just paint your nails a plain color because obviously I cant please you. Huh? What? Now, Im upset. Still I didnt yell, curse, or disrespect her in any way. I just stated that I cant focus on my nail color and design until we address the shape. At this point, I clearly see her other appointment walk in and since she was frustrated with me she handed me off to Paula, one of the owners. Did I mention she started me 20 minutes late? Paula was courteous and professional but defensive of Jade. She fixed my nail shape and designed my nails. I was satisfied. She also gave me a discount which I did not ask for or care about. After leaving the shop, I received a text stating that I wasnt a good fit as the shop prides itself to be courteous, creative and positive. I was taken back because I was courteous but dissatisfied with the quality of Jades work. Im shocked to realize that asking someone to fix something they caused is/was inappropriate. The two stars are generous but I did leave the salon satisfied. My advice, visit for special occasions only, book with a person who advertises their work. Jade doesnt have her work posted on social media. Also, have pictures of everything you want; including nail height, shape and design.

Cute store, they definitely tried to achieve the LA nail salon atmosphere, BUT THREE of my $70 acrylic nails broke in LESS than a week. i also made an apoitment and found out my nail technician was an apprentice after i arrived and was already started my nails. i would not have gone if i knew it was an apprentice. ive had nails brake before that i take accountability for, but this past week, i have not done anything where my nails should break. plugging my phone in should not constitute a broken nail..... do not go here. not worth the money!!!!

Customer service is complete TRASH!!!The first time I went to the nail candy shop was in Sept 2017. I got a full set done ($95 including designs and shaping) and I knew my nails were finna be popping, or so I hoped. The very next day, one of my nails popped off. I drove 30 mins to get my nail repaired. The next day ANOTHER nail popped off, I then drove the 30 mins again to get my nail repaired. By then I was furious because my nails should not be coming off the next day, as I am not in a profession that requires heavylifting. One of their managers ended up redoing my nails but still charged me.😣 After my nails were redone, they did not pop off. Fast forward to July 19,2018. I go in and get a full set done($95). My nails once AGAIN popped off. Between July 19-July 24th SIX nails in total had popped off. In that time period I had made two additional 30 min trips to get my nail repaired. I ended up speaking with the same manager who redid my nails back in Sept 2017. I asked if I could have a refund or a partial refund. She said that I could get a partial refund, but continues on to say Just to be clear, I dont think the Nail Candy Shop is the place for you because we cant seem to meet your nail needs. So I responded with So your basically saying that I am no longer welcome at the nail candy shop? She says no, thats not what I said. I said okay and hung up. I ended up calling back because I wanted to know what their definition of a partial refund was. The secretary told me I would be getting $35 from the $95 I spent. I LOST IT! I finally was able to speak to the owner and her reasoning for me only getting $35 back was that because they already dont offer refunds, I came in for repairs, and they use designer products . She also said I dont know what you do outside of the shop. So in the end they blamed EVERYTHING ON ME!!!! So in conclusion I was told I wasnt welcomed there and that my nails popping off were my fault. I personally wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE. Save your time and coins.😎
