If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would. Ive had to use these guys 5 - 7 times within the last year and every experience has been spectacular. Whether it was for vacation or an emergency situation, these guys are always here to help. Trey and his team are second to none!

Ian was very professional & knowledgeable. The lady that worked with him was great also along with the guy who services the car. Very professional staff. They treated me like you should treat a customer. Without a a doubt I will use them again.

Found them to be very professional and courteous. They have a nice selection of vehicles and all seemed in nice shape. Very convenient for downtown residents, as well.

One star is generous, they were 30 minutes late picking me up despite Kim confirming they would be at the body shop at 9 am this morning; when i had to call and find out where they were, Ian put me on hold and just left me there and I had to call back. The driver finally got there about 9:32 am and never even offer an apology. Trey at least got me in my rental car in about 20 minutes but then I find that there is a warning light on the dash and they obviously knew it as the verification photos they took of the car this morning, clearly show the illuminated indicator light.. Lets hope it gets me back to the body shop. Customer service at this location need a lot of work!

Cars smell like smoke,traded it in for tier issues and smoke smell. Got a new car that smelled like smoke. Wont go there again.

Very bad experience with Gervais street Columbia SC. I have been renting a car since last 1 year every day and so I am suppose to be a faithful customer. But upon calling this Gervais Street location for at least 5 times and having given my number every time I call, no one returns back a call. My monthly rental car is due return and I need a replacement car and they always say they dont have a replacement car. I heard this for 3 weeks and finally went to a different location and got the issue sorted. Made a point that will never go to this location again.

I wanted a car, not an SUV but was given a Nissan Altima with no legroom. Large Hyundais, Kias, BMWs, Mercedes and Genesis have more legroom than any car made in the USA. At 6 4, I had a hard time getting in!! They even have more legroom than many SUVs! The car leaned on turns. Not again!

Am on a monthly rental program and renting since last 5 months and the service I have received is simply awesome. They made sure I get a new car as I was planning to drive for a long term and also for interim fuel changes they were very helpful. I would strongly recommend this center. I remember talking to almost all of the staff at some or the other time but remember the name Trey very well who helped get things quick and fast.

They gave me a car with 3/4 tank of gas. They wrote it down and said bring it back with 3/4 tank. I did, told them and they charged me $53 anyways. CHECK YOUR FUEL TANKS HERTZ BEFORE RENTING OUT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Take care of problems instead of just telling the customer not to worry about it, it’s taken care. Customer service fix the problem instead of saying there is nothing you can do.

The Agents were just awesome.. They did not have the vehicle class I wanted but they made the transition to a smaller class easy and comfortable.. Loving the 2019 Kia...

Kristen took great care of me. I had an emergency and was a walk in only an hour before they closed. She found me a car quickly and got me on the road. She worked hard to get me a great deal, and she was extremely friendly and personable. Its clear she loves her job and loves helping people.

I had an awful experience here via phone. I called ahead to confirm my reservation and Kristen was the rudest receptionist Ive ever dealt with. Upon arriving I dealt with someone else who was much better than she but I still couldnt get the bad taste out of my mouth that she left. While waiting for my reservation to go through I witnessed her being just as rude to me over the phone to other people who called in. She definitely needs to work on her interpersonal skills.

The insurance company reserved us a car from here. When we arrived only one lady was working. She was renting the cars and cleaning them up. Needless to say she wasn’t able to clean them up like they should have been. The Ford Focus we got was very dirty it had mashed up candy in the console, dried milk in the floor board, god only knows what in the armrest in the back seat, the headliner had fingerprints that looked like Cheetos smeared all over, and the trunkhad grass in it. Now let’s talk about the smell in the car it smelt like urine. The windows kept fogging up like the car had been wet inside. So when returned it we did clean it up much better than we had gotten it. Hertz charged my credit card $79.43 for some unknown reason when the insurance company said the car was to be returned on Monday that’s when it was returned. Hertz please explain this one. I will never use hertz again it’s Enterprise if I ever have to have a rental again😡.

The location was clean and the gentleman at the desk was friendly and professional. They did not have the car class I reserved available, but placed me in a luxury class car for the same rate with no questions asked or attempted​ up-sell sales pitch. Very respectful and above the line. Hertz, and this location specifically, will get my rental business everytime I travel to Columbia from now on.

I unfortunately reserved a vehicle from this location, which was a total waste of time. No one was in the entire building when i arrived and i just spoke with an employee who knew i was on my way. Long story short never did get the rental i called and called, no answer. I will never rent a car from Hertz

This is the closest location to me so I keep using it, but I’m not sure why. On several occasions they haven’t had my car available which resulted in 20-30 minute wait times. We have also had cars that smell like smoke on at least 2 occasions. Probably should steer clear of this establishment.

How can you try to charge someone for smoking in a car when my wife just had a baby not to mention I have heart failure and when we spoken to them about it on the phone, the young lady got a attitude.

1 star because I couldnt do 0. They didnt hold my reservation. Had to call multiple people/computers to get my money back, because the actual location cant do that. Useless garbage. Still trying to get my refund for a car I didnt even see. Will never go to this place again.

We booked days in advance and when we got there, there was no car available. They made us go to another location to get the car and it was just a hassle tbh. We also got a bit of sass from the guy working there. All around just a bad experience.They did not even offer to drive us to the other location OR have someone from the other location drive the car to us.

Picked up a rental today. In & Out.

Booked a car one month in advance for a long road trip and they didn’t have cars in the category that I booked for. Had only one car that had problematic breaks and didn’t have a choice but to take it because I needed a car. Would have given zero stars if possible coz this isn’t the first time they did this.

I had a very good experience renting from this hertz location. (Less taxes and fees compared to the airport)
