Cars smelled so bad I had to keep myself from getting sick in the car. 1st car bad so I asked for a different car. Didnt realize how bad that one was until I was almost home. Im local and my car was being fixed and no way was I dealing with that for a week and the cost. Exchanged at BWI, nothing for my troubles.

Avis rental company the worest services especially the toll and citation department, first of all Avis charging without using their transponder, I have my own transponder when ever I rent the car from Avis but they charging me two /three times without using and yet customer service desk hang up the phone three times.Iโll never back again to Avis and I โll share this experience for others tooNo respect at all ...Poor customer service !!
Like others we would rate it a 0 if we could. The customer service is terrible and the lines were long. Other customers in line had expressed frustration too. Our biggest issue was we rented a mini van when we got into the van, the tire was completely flat and not just low on air. We went back in and they told us to put air in it and drive it to another location to see if they could help us there because they couldnโt do anything for us. Since we hadnโt made it out of the parking lot we told them there was no way we could drive the car 350 miles the next day. we didnโt feel safe driving the car...after much back and forth they gave us another car to drive to the airport. The Airport location did not have a minivan so they gave us an Acadia (although this manager on duty Brooke was very friendly). This was not big enough for our needs and had to cram everything into this car surrounding our two car seats with stuff piled high which was so unsafe. There is no way we would recommend this location to anyone. When we called Avis to complain they said we had a mid size car on file and they could not help us. I have NO idea where they got this from! It was such a frustrating start to our vacation!

A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I made a reservation to pick up a car from this location about 3 weeks ago, and even pre-paid for it. I picked this location because it is a convenient 5 minute walk from my house, and I was planning to drive the car back to my house after walking over and packing the car. The pickup time was at 8:30am on 6/13. However, I received a call from them at 8:40, while I was walking over, that they did not have a car at their location, and that I would have to go to a different location to pick up the car. The guy on the phone said this in a very matter-of-fact manner, and when I asked what the point of even making a reservation was, he said that there was no point in us arguing over this. That guy was a complete class act.I explained that I specified the Columbia location for a reason, and that they had plenty of time to coordinate a car being there for pick up, but he told me that they currently had NO CARS AT THEIR LOCATION, and that they werent planning on receiving any.At this point, I hung up and called Avis customer service. They told me that since the Avis location had called me and notified me that I could pick up the car in a different location, that there was nothing else that they would do for me. No upgrade, no voucher, no complimentary feature, no car drop-off at my house. You guys dropped the ball, and I guess it was ok because you notified me that you dropped the ball. Thank you very much!!!I just cancelled my reservation and asked for a refund at this point, because Id rather drive my own car the distance than give Avis a single penny more than they deserve, which is $0.00. Needless to say, Ill never use you guys in the future, and Ill make it my life goal to tell everyone I meet to not use you either. Thank you
Our car wasnt ready when we went for pick up and we had booked it online about one week before and had confirmation number as well! We had to go to a different location to pick up our car. The management was very very poor in both locations! I will never use them again. Not only was our car not ready on time and the correct location, but they overcharged us and refused to pay us back. Very POOR service!! Will never recommend it to anyone.
I came to pick up my car at this location:1. I arrived at 12PM and the door was locked, and ther was a handwritten note to call a number.2. I called the number and on my third try the phone was answered, she told me she was at the back and I should have knocked on the door.3. She wasnt great at customer service I can tell right away from her attitude. She told me the only full service car she has is a Camry and it wasnt vacuumed and she told me I have to vaccum it myself.4. I requested to look at the car, the car wasnt only vacuumed but had lots of stain in the back seat.5. She initially offered $20 off, but when I came back after looking at the car she told me she will no longer offer the $20 off, but only for the car wash if I bring a receipt.So, I told her I couldnt take the car not only for the car being dirty, but the stain in the back seat was pretty bad. I would give this place 0 star. If you can, rent from a different location.
The associate (African-American) was not nice(bad customer service)... I had a reservation from other associate, and he told me that I cannot enjoy for that price because I didnt have a roundtrip airfare ticket...Hello I was paying my money....my reservation has a discount wasnt free.....He quote me the double...no manager there, I had to paid taxi again, I didnt take the car.
I tried to support this business which is on my neighborhood but Ive finally given up. Cars are not clean, the business frequently opens late, and now, Ive been doubled billed. My advice is to never patronize this business.
