I would recommend this place to ANYONE - men, women and kids as well. Very much a mom and pop feel of the old days and everyone there knows their stuff and they make sure you are happy before you walk out the door. They are all extremely friendly and cordial and take their time to do everything right. For what the big box chains charge, you get twice the personality and five times the service here. You can call ahead for am appointment or drop in - they will hook you up one way or another! And that hot towel on the face after all is said and done is just the icing needed before the drive home!Try them once before you go to your regular go to and I bet this will be your new regular! HIGHLY recommend!!!

This place does not clean their tools correctly including their fade straight razors. Do not go here unless you want to get broken out from their dirty tools. They gave me RAZOR BUMPS that I am STILL getting rid of. Dont go here. Julie is unprofessional and mean and insulting. Gus is great! I live across the street from this place and went numerous times. Its very unfortunate because it was convenient having a barber so close. Well so much for that!! Ill spend my money elsewhere, where my cut is fresh and the tools are CLEAN

I have visited StarCuts several times now in the 1.5 years I have lived in Colorado Springs. I tried a few other barber shops throughout the city before I found StarCuts, and while there are some great ones out there, they werent quite what I was looking for. Ive received haircuts from Guss and Julie multiple times, and the cut is great each time. They work pretty quickly but carefully, and they always seem to have a good instinct for what I am looking for despite what is probably a poor description of how I want my hair cut. Ill keep going back to StarCuts because the haircut is at least as good as any Ive received elsewhere, but its usually quicker and about $10 cheaper.

This barber shop is pretty good. I like that you can make appointments. I did not like that the staff was not very conversational. You kind of sit in the chair and it seems you are just supposed to watch TV while you are there. That being said the staff was friendly and quick. Guss did a great job on my hair. I guess maybe Im old fashioned and enjoy talking during my cut. I will go back for sure. Maybe I just went on a off day as everyone but Guss was out to lunch.

Cannot express how impressed I am with this place. My son is 5 and I have never been truly impressed with any other haircut hes received. Hes also picky and always hates it. They did exactly what was asked and did better than expected. I got the impression this is a family business. And if thats the case, it showed in the kindness and playfulness they showed to my boy and way they cared about his comfort. Attention to detail, prices, and welcoming service were the best Ive experienced. I went in on a whim while traveling through CO Springs because this place had some really good reviews. Well the rumors are true. Guss cut my hair and did a great job. I’m thinning so it’s hard to find a place that can help take attention away from that. He took his time because he said he always wants to get to know a person’s hair so it takes some time at first. He’s a nice, genuine guy who wants to provide good service and he does an excellent job. Highly recommend his shop.

Its always nerve-wracking moving to a new place and finding a new barber. I showed Gus a picture, and ended up with exactly what I wanted. Almost no wait on a Monday at 4:45. I hope for the owners sake that this place does not remain a secret. Everything I want from a barber. Great haircut. Good prices. They use a straight edge on neck and side burns. Hot shave cream and hot towel. There are TVs in front of each chair so you don’t even have to miss the game.

I scheduled an appointment for 3:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. I was in the area around 2:30 and decided to stop in and see if they could take me. I was able to get right in the chair just a couple of minutes after walking in. I asked if we could watch golf and there was no hesitation on changing the channel for me. I showed a picture of what I wanted (high fade crew cut) and the lady said no problem at all. This was probably the best haircut I have ever gotten and will be a return customer without a doubt!!

What really set this experience apart was the extra care: the hot foam straight razor cleanup and warm towel wipedown left me looking sharp and feeling like a prince. Julie was very sweet and did a fantastic job. Got a high fade skin on the side like Ive done millions of times before while in the military. She did a better job than any Barber on post that Ive gone to. Will definitely be going to them for all future haircuts.

Best fades and quick service. I dont want to say Gus is the best because I dont want him to always be booked up, but he deserves the recognition for his insane attention to detail and making sure your experience is exactly what you were hoping for. Gus and his wife are masters of what they do. High attention to detail. Took me years to find my barber in Texas, only a month here. I feel this Barbershop is undiscovered. Even though I dont wanna wait in any lines, they need to be discovered and want to see this shop explode and strive!

From the first moment of walking in you will be impressed by the way the owner likes to set up his shop. He doesnt need a ton of fancy certificates for you to glamour at and doesnt try to replicate the typical punk/rock/90s vibe that a lot of other barbershops do. Instead, its a very lively and homely atmosphere, especially due to the fact that the owner is so mindful and easy to speak to.Nearly every single customer that I saw come in seemed very friendly with him, and there were many regulars. StarCuts Barbershop is the place to go to for a fresh as hell cut and I will definitely be coming here from now on for my hair.

This is a late review, but I recently had my hair cut here. I had long hair after growing it out for a few months, so it honestly wouldn’t have been particularly easy to get it cut at a barber shop, but I was amazed with the cut. I was asked constantly regarding what I wanted and whether the cut was looking the way I envisioned. He was wonderful, and I will gladly come back here again.

Just move to Colorado Springs and needed to find a Barber with great skill and after receiving a fantastic cut by Gus I dont have to look any further! Hes definitely the real deal.
