I love it friendly understandable landlord leases agent. I been leaving there for going on 3 yrs i would recommend it to Any one looking for a place.you would love it also
Do not and I repeat for the love of God, do not move here. If you have problems and express them to the property management they just hang up on you, if you have a maitenece request prepare for it to take 3 months to get taken care of. Highly dont recommend due to the poor management of apartment complexes.
These apartments used to be good 3 almost 4 years ago then we continously went under new management and each time it just got worse and worse there has been over 5 different managers and over 4 matiences people nothing ever gets taken care half the apartments have mold the water constantly gets shut off with out notice they over charge you the buildings hardly ever get cleaned. I wouldnt recommend living there at all!
They are great people, they help everyone in need as efficiently as possible, very prompt, always go the extra mile, Amazing Personalities! Love Living here, Close to Downtown, Old Colorado and Manitou Springs!
Dont live here! Theres been multiple cases of people getting their car stolen while living in the apartment complex. I found multiple homeless people sleeping in the hallways especially when Im trying to take my son to school, its not very secure area to have children. I would not recommend living here at all! Management is Shady and they also dont do anything especially answer their phone.
I informed wind river I would not be renewing my lease and before I was even done moving they tried to switch the locks on my apartment ! Lucky i had changed my locks during the moving process. They asked why my locks were changed as they couldnt get in to spray for insects and rodants. I informed them they were lying and they knew they couldnt enter without permission Wich I didnt give them. I had watched them change out locks on other tenants who informed them they were not renewing their lease. They were also had hired and fired 5 maintenance personal in the 6 months I was there and hired and fired 2 lease managers. On a positive note my neighbors were very friendly and its walking distance to King Soopers. Management and maintenance were always up to something. Rent was always due in the form of a money order as their policy
The office staff are absolutely amazing! Sarah was an absolutely sweetheart, she answered all of my questions and was super knowledgeable and professional. The property is very well maintained, hallways are very clean and smell amazing. The residents seemed very friendly and nice. It is an older property but they have done a great job updating the apartments.
As I write this I have just completed a 6-month lease with this apartment complex and I have a few words for anyone looking at potentially living here. As you can see from my rating, not the worst place I have ever lived, but it needs some SERIOUS work, most critically being to fix the enormous pot holes in the parking lots. Location is actually not bad, a stones throw from downtown OCC and we luckily didnt have any issues with the ARC crowd a couple of blocks down. Convenient to have King Soopers walking distance away as well. Takeaway message for you all: you might be able to get away with using Wind River as a TEMPORARY apartment if you need one in a pinch as I did, but anything over a 6-month lease is not advisable.
Very nice. Updated apartments are nice for the price. Sarah was amazing and super helpful. She had a great friendly attitude.
The buildings are very poorly constructed to reduce noise from other tenants. The sound travels unabated from one apt to the next. I had noise complaints of loud TV and yet you could not hear anything coming from my apt when you were standing at the door. They gave me a notice to vacate. We had talked on many occasions about the TV and I felt that it was my right to listen to TV whenever I wanted at a reasonable level, which it was. Actually, at my new place, the TV is higher than it was at Wind River and the tenants around me have assured me they hear nothing from my apt. To top it all off, Wind River charged me a termination fee for moving. Take my advice and look somewhere else. There are many very nice apartments in the Springs... this is NOT one of them.
I lived here for two years and I loved it. These arent high end but theyre walking distance from any shopping you need, close to garden of the gods, I-25 and highway 24, so you can get anywhere you need to go quickly. Never once felt unsafe here.
I lived here for two years and we stayed because of the location, it was affordable and they allowed our pets. However, I would not recommend these apartments. Management was next to impossible to get ahold of for anything. We saw three different management companies move through here during our two years which got very confusing. Management was hardly ever in the office and if you needed anything during the weekend, good luck. They would maybe get back to you sometime the next week. We had to ask many times to get any maintenance done (we did have one good guy that lasted about three months). I moved out almost three months ago and still haven’t received my security deposit back. I have been calling for months and nobody answers or returns my voicemails, or they promise me that a manager will get back to me the next day which never happens. I would keep looking!
Just moved in here recently, the management was extremely friendly and helpful with both the lease agreement and the moving in process. The apartment is clean and everything is functional. No complaints.
I lived here for two years and saw a plethora of management changes, each with their own agenda. Some good some bad. I never felt unsafe but TWICE someone stole the tags off my license plate. Fool me once I suppose. My neighbors were friendly. When leaving, they did charge me the full price to break my lease even though I was leaving about a month and a half before my lease was up (my house search happened much quicker than anticipated). My old lease had had different terms for lease breaking so it was a bummer to realize I had missed hat detail in the new lease with new management.
Manager Danielle just told us she would be charging us for a spill on the LANDING in the stairwell. They answer the phones when they want. They talk to you when they want. They do service requests when they want. Please do your research when looking for an apartment.
Ive lived here for the last two years or so. Through this time weve had a lot of management change. Right now the current manager is great. Problems get handled quickly and without any hassle. There arent any amenities which is a bit of a bummer but the rent is affordable. Apparently there used to be a drug problem but theyve gotten things well straightened up since Ive been here. We have never dealt with any bug issue or any such thing. Its also really close to the grocery store and some other common errand locations.
I applied for an apartment. A new employee had just begun working there, and no property management was onsite. The employee assured me that if I was denied or if I did not want to get the apartment after approval, my $150 in admin fees would be refunded. I went to view the apartment after application, and the employee showed me the actual apartment. It was not ready for move in, and she said she should not have shown the property to me. The next day, I received an email with a denial. I attempted to contact them multiple times to no avail in order to ensure I would receive the refund. I left multiple messages. Finally, I contacted Maintenance, and he gave me the number to the property manager at Chestnut, Cara. Cara said she would contact corporate regarding my refund. I also put in a request via the Avantic corporate website. No one ever contacted me back. Finally, I got through to the Wind River Leasing office, about two weeks after application. The same employee told me that even though my application was denied, I could still get an apartment there due to my income. I had already found another apartment with Weidner, and I told her that and said that I assumed they had denied me and moved forward with finding another place. Do not rent from the Avantic company. They are not a reputable company and will steal your money. I still have not received my refund of $150.
Im super comfortable living here, and I like that these apartments are close to King Soopers and I-25.
The apartment staff member sarah was amazing and helpful. Very friendly and professional. Thank you for helping
I have been living here since July and it is great! The manager Lindsey is wonderful, the apartment was clean and ready for us to move in, and the location is perfect.
I lived here for a year they removed my previous review. The management while I was there was terrible, the unit was terrible, uneven floors, cheaply repainted cabinets, shower/tub is a fiberglass shell and held water under the it, when I moved in there were bed bugs every other week (I had no pets and I bought all new furniture when I moved in), terrible noise at all hours, the management pretty much did whatever they wanted (raise rent, utilities, tell you they need to go into your apartment) and it seemed happen every week. On top of that they didnt give me my security deposit (they mailed me a check, but it bounced) and I noticed my last review was removed. I wouldnt move here again unless someone was paying me to stay there. I left in October of 2017, and I moved out of state so it is no longer an issue. I just think its funny that they removed my review. Thanks :)
This place has its ups and downs, but overall a great place to live so far. Year and a half in.Last night I had to shower like its 1699 because I got home from snowboarding (aka extremely sweaty) to discover their maintenance crew had let themselves in to my apartment and WRECKED my shower. Big hole in the wall, pieces of putty and shower parts everywhere, etc. My cat brought me a rusty screw in her mouth as i walked in the door. Awesome. Theyre fixing it now a day later, only because I called last night and complained. Who walks off a half-finished job to screw over the guy who didnt do anything? THEY ALSO USED ALL MY TP, straight down to the end of the roll. Just an empty roll in there. Thats very peculiar. The apts are nice, quiet, close to 24 and 25. Affordable and reasonable. I have zero complaints outside the above ridiculous story. Still 5 stars only a day after showering like its 1699.UPDATE: I finished my stay after almost 3 years, the nice manager Lindsay helped me break the lease and get it all worked out. Still no complaints, great and awesome place to live. Im headed to my tiny home in the mountains because the Springs is turning into a hellhole of a city. But best of luck to anyone staying here. This is one of your best bets in the city, I delivered in a 10-mile radius so Ive seen just about every apartment imaginable and most are disgusting or very expensive/fancy. This is a very nice middle-ground. Move in today!
I would recommend these apartments to elderly people and rate it as one star because their always in everyones business all the time and your constantly getting letters how annoying. Their nice and quiet but I dont recommend college students to live here smh or kids because they might complain about the nose and have people watching you here
Moving here was a bad decision, a month into our new apartment, It flooded. clean up crews came out, and left massive pools of water in the floor of the living room and bed room, that the maintenance guy asked us to clean with our own personal towels... The clean up crews left 4 industrial sized dehumidifiers that ran my electricity bill Through the roof which I was not compensated for. We had to move all of our belongings in the hallway, and we were not even offered a place to sleep while the restorations took place. Finally I got ahold of Lindsay, the manager at the time, and demanded a place to sleep for the time being while mine was being restored . I was treated like a thorn in her side by anyones recollection. After being told id have to move back in to the flooded apartment I said i was going to do a mold test, this scared them because i had over heard them discussing the fact that they knew there was mold even before i moved in. at the end of it all we were moved into the apartment we were provided to sleep in during the restorations, with a reduced rate. After moving out i tried to log on to the resident portal to try to pay any remaining balance owed. But for one reason or another my account was deactivated. I then in turn called the leasing office to try to settle up any remaining balance, and or recieve my deposit back. I did this twice with no response, and i do record all my calls for reasons like this. this morning I recieved a final notice before being sent to collections. This is an outrage, due to the negligence of the leasing team at WRP apartments my credit may take an unnecessary hit, because they failed to return my correspondence regarding any remaining balances. If in fact my credit is affected i will retain legal counsel and use my recorded phone calls and messages as evidence of their negligence, and of my due diligence to pay, what still may be owed or to recover my deposit because after all i left the place spotless.
Great place to live in, everything is close by, been living here for a year now, no crime around this area and quiet around.
The staff has gone above and beyond for me! Answer every question i threw at them did a tour with me and were really trying to help me, im very upset that this apartment didnt have washers and dryers in the apartment cause it would have been perfect for me and my son!
The person we spoke to we know now is part of the deepstate corruption and has lied against me and my family they as of today shown RED FLAGS they know why and they are in hot water with law enforcement
How much over a year, is it going to take to fix the heat? I have been requesting this since last winter, and now a new winter is coming, and still no heat!!!
Great Appartments. Not far from Uintah Gardens. Great part of town to live!
Manager is so helpful and kind very prompt in responding to resident needs and concerns
I would not sugest moving here. They dont fix anything in a timely manner. ( TOOK THEM 3 YEARS TO GET MY FRIENDS HEATER FIXED. ) They say 24 on-site professional management. Yet they are never there. Management came in at 11 am and then left before 11:45 am . Saying will be closed until 6 pm. And the manager even knows her lazy bebind wont be in till 8,9,10,11 or maybe later the next day. She has never been here at 6 pm. And then charging my friend fees for things that never happened. ( I.E Pest control fees. ) when no exterminater came in my friendz appt. They were handed over appt. Pest free. Still pest free. But not fee free. Little ovet 30 bucks for something they didnt recieve.
Moved out a year ago and found out Im in collections for a charge they wont give me an answer about. Shady business with shady people living there. My car was broken into twice and homeless people would sleep in the hallways. Not a good place to live.
Forced to treat bed bugs in my home by threatening to evict me if I refuse them to spray my bed and my furniture that I spend most of my time on. They are harmful chemicals to the point they dont want me inside the room while spraying. I do NOT have an infestation and Lindsey Cassio the LandLord is very unethical and inexperienced in her position. This will also be reported to the BBB
My husband and I came here looking for an available 2 bedroom, unfortunately it just wasnt a fit for our family but Lindsey, I think her name was, the manager was very, very helpful, friendly and informative. Definitely one of the most helpful managers we had spoken to all day!
Very impressed with Staff and the property!
Homeless problem and the management are shifty
I am a slave to society thank you.
