Good equipment. More mirrors than are necessary. More emphasis on cleaning / disinfecting would be helpful. Important to know how to cut through the layers of attitude and excessive self-image worship and fussing that roam mega exercise facilities and keep goals real and purposeful.

Always clean and never too busy. I’ve never had issues with any equipment that I use, and almost never have to wait for any equipment. Anytime I’ve needed to talk to staff they have been helpful. I’ve never used their trainers but the trainers always appear to be very engaged with their clients.

I went here twice in the last 3 months. When I noticed lol these hidden fees which was 3 expensive ones to “keep” up the gym a “new member fee” and some “other” one I was just gonna cancel it. I tried to cancel this for 3 months and I have gotten another charge after the battle with Brandi. She told me to sign over an email but kept hanging up and not answering. I’m out about $400 for using the gym for 2 hours. There are plenty of other cheaper and better gyms here. Please don’t go here, it’s a scam. Don’t try to get your money back, they are very unprofessional and I’ve been talking to lawyers for suing purposes.

AWESOME GYM TO DO ALL YOUR WORKOUT ROUTINES. GREAT STAFF, CLEAN GYM AND EQUIPMENT. TANNING, SAUNAS, POOL, DARK ROOM, EXCELLENT PLACE TO TRAIN . LOTS OF CARDIO GEAR. GO CHECK IT OUT YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Most the staff is Arrogant, act like they are better than anyone. Not good for sales.. usually don’t even get a hello just a blank stare. Please try to attract more people with kindness and try to clean properly would be a plus. Like wipe off more than just the pad people sit on. Dead skin on frames of the machines is getting old....a few staff members are nice. But the majority don’t even acknowledge people. Think sales are based on clients.. correct. They need to take a class in proper communication skills.

Awesome staff and facility. I am active duty military and they offer free entry to military on leave. I will always support this business when I visit this town, cant recommend this place enough. Their functional fitness room has pretty much everything you would find at a high quality CrossFit gym.

Having been a member for many years I found the staff friendly, helpful, and love all the classes they make available! Instructors are fun and knowledgeable! Love the spin bikes!

It is a great gym, been going here for a long time just not consistently. Maybe that will change this time. Hope to see you there.

I really enjoy this gym. My trainer is Jen who is great and so patient and encoraging. Lots of machines and a fun Zumba class with Larisa. The place is spotless and well-maintained. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. I recommend this gym to everyone!

Great place for an early morning workout.

I found Mesa Fitness a great place for a workout. My only disappointment was that they Dont have enough personnel at the desk or on the floor. Nice layout and some top notch equipment.

I come here 5 days a week the environment is friendly the trainers are awesome. Theres a large verity of machines and other equipment. Theres a pool that always warm a sona, a steem room, and a hot tub. Theres movies in the cardio room. Its all and all the best gym Ive been too.

This gym is nice and open with big windows and lots of mirrors. I really appreciate that most of the people sanitize their equipment when they have finished with it. I love the pool facility! If you like the water, Amy is a terrific water fitness instructor!

Ive been going here since it was Golds gym. Not allot has changed, which I appreciate. I do miss the huge painting of the swimmer in the pool room. However, I love the movie room, you get on your choice of fitness machine and watch a movie-time flies by. I also lift weights, sit in the hot tub and then use the showers. I appreciate being heard here also. (The handicap shower was missing hooks to hold a towel and bag) I suggested it and they were put in. Thank you very much. They also have a racquetball court which I adore, plenty of fitness classes-which Im thinking about joining a yoga class. And so much more. Half the battle is just showing up!

The rowing machines were consistently broken as well as many other machines. The employees there work out during there shift and I found half the time I was waiting for a machine I was waiting on an employee to finish their set rather than another customer. I personally find that very frustrating.Also be careful with billing. They love to try and throw extra service charges on you claiming “your card declined the first time we ran it” and then charging you an additional $10 and running it a second time which miraculously works!

Complete inability to keep a clean, functioning pool and hot tub. More dirty than not and hot tub frequently not working or down for repairs. When mentioned to staff on multiple occasions, no action is taken.

Loyal member for 4 years but I am looking for another gym. They closed ladies gym to turn it into who knows what. Then they close the NLP room several times daily. The only floor area left to work on a mat or to work without a bunch of men around is up front by the windows and that small space fills up quickly. Get rid of some of the equipment that is always broke and make some floor space for women who just need a place to work with a mat and a few weights.

I like this place I know it is but I noticed that lots of people dont wear masks, especially young people when they walk inside of the building.

Nice gym but when you pull in and theres 5 cars in parking lot but there is 20+ large lockers with locks on them 24/7 there is no where to lock up your belongings. I recommend going to the junction location.

Very nice staff every time I go to work out. They are always available for anything that I need and have great customer service. This gym is the most comfortable experience I have ever had at a gym.

The staff are always very friendly and courteous, my fiance and I are getting married (eventually probably not soon thanks to Covid-19) the gym being able to stay open has helped allot with my sanity!

Decent pool. Mostly clean. Good parking. Good locker rooms. Weve been members since Golds was a few doors down. Each time you go in there are more signs saying what you cannot do. The young people working there show a lot of enthusiasm for young, attractive members, which is typical, I guess. customer service is horrendous, especially in the membership department. Lately way more females in GJ are into body building, so the amount of people kissing their biceps and posing and wearing expensive clothes has doubled. Its like a place to be seen more than anything. Women in full makeup and designer clothing. Single men leering endlessly. LOL.

Great gym. Im camping nearby, and this is a great place to work out and shower, $10 for a 24 hour pass. Cant beat that price! Everyone is super nice, and the gym very clean and comfortable! Thanks for making my cross country trek so much better!

I join this gym because it was close to my house. I had my membership for 6 months before upgrading to the Platinum for more money and the promise of a gift card which I never received. I spoke with 3 different associates regarding this issue and was reassured it would be fixed. I called 2 times for the same thing and got the same results. NOTHING! I cancelled my membership. Broken machines, classes are few and not much to choose from. I should have saved my money! What a waste!!!

This is my first visit, so take it for what its worth. The front desk staff was friendly enough. I got a 24 hour guest pass for $10. There is a wide range of equipment and facilities. The crowd wasnt too bad on a Saturday afternoon. The mens locker room has individual shower stalls that are big enough that your towel doesnt get wet. There are a couple of private dressing rooms too. All in all not bad.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good hours and good price for all the amenities. My only complaint is that childcare is only available until 1 p.m. on Sundays which is a convenient time for me to workout but no childcare.

Attended several group classes as a guest and found the variety of classes were pretty good and the instructors were enthusiastic and helpful. Nice pool for lap swimming as well as large hot tub. Noticed though that sound system for instructors could be upgraded....cant make out what they were saying for some of the instruction. Also hot tube had obvious signs of dirt, grime on tile and insects dead on the deck. Appreciate the opportunity to buy $10 guest for a day pass.

This gym is overpriced and shady with the fees. I was offered a free month and when I tried to cancel my membership before the 30 days I was told that I needed to cancel a full 30 days prior, so I would of literally had to cancel the same day I signed up for the free trial for them not to charge me that first month. On top of that they charge 39$ regardless of the free trial or not, so their “free trial” ended up costing 63$. It’s not worth the money, there’s better gyms for cheaper prices.

I like this gym a lot, but there are a few downsides. One being 95% of their elliptical machines dont work properly. To me, they are un-usable. Another thing is they dont have a great spot for people to stretch/do their own workouts. They have rooms you can use, but they are usually taken by a class. Fix those two things and it would be 5/5 stars! Staff in very nice, their other machines work properly that Ive seen, and spin class is great!

As a member of many years I feel this gym is perfect for all ages of adults. The cinema room allows for a good workout in a safe space for older or disabled individuals. The staff always answers my health and fitness questions with a smile, and the smoothies are amazing!

Great place to workout, can be a bit busy during peak hours.

Have been paying for a membership I cant get cancelled. I had 3 different appointment with trainer that quit before appointment. Would walk in and not feel comfortable being there. My Dr put me on a no exercise for months and months due to my back. I didnt even have time to use the pool with my work schedule. I needed to tone up lost a lot of weight never felt comfortable or Welcome there

Close down pool and hot tub simultaneously. Sitting business hours. Some people barely have an hour of the day to themselves to begin with. Clean when paying customers arent present. And the cleaning guy shouldnt be wearing dirty sneakers in the pool while cleaning it.

The staff at the Clifton Golds Gym are some of the most friendly people out there. They make you feel welcome, are quick to assist and always upbeat. The gym itself has easy to use equipment, a private area for ladies and a nice pool to do laps in. Extra bonus, its always clean!

I joined Golds because of the functional/ turf area, but I can never use it. I like to focus my workout around big compound lifts to begin with and the turf room was perfect... platforms, barbells, bumper plates, very nice. One catch ... I always get kicked out or cant go in because they close the whole area off for class! From 4:30pm to 7:30pm Monday thru Thursday its closed! During the busiest time! Its already a small Golds..Common. Why am I paying $50 when I cant use a big part of the gym. Ive worked in the fitness industry, cone off part of the area. You dont need the whole room !Expressed my concerns and they didnt care... just told me to look at the schedule. Thanks ha

Like other posts I was dissapointed with the steam room/hot tub never being hot which was the reason I joined this gym instead of the cheaper one in town.stopped going after the 3rd time in a row this happened big waste of money. If you just want to lift or play raquetball I suppose you might like it although there are cheaper options in town. Staff was freindly enough though. No problems there. 2 stars for that at least.

I want to warn future members that this company is 100% out to scam people. My boyfriend and I signed up for a no contract trial because they had a special going on. Then we moved to Washington a few months later and we were never warned that our account information went to debt collectors due to inactivity. Apparently they lied about no contracts. A few days ago we got calls from debt collectors telling us we would be turned into collections if we didnt not pay the outstanding balances and they advised us to close our accounts. OUR ACCOUNTS WERE STILL BEING CHARGED EVEN THOUGH WE HAD BEEN TURNED INTO COLLECTIONS. Now we are trying to get help closing the accounts but all the golds gym employees tell us is that we have to come in and sign a form, but we live in Washington. We finally got the name of the Collections Manager at Golds Gym but we can not reach her. She does not have a phone number we can reach and the email they gave us wont go through. She is apparently the only one who can help us close the acount but she is impossible to get a hold of. The fact that this place has staff employed just to handle all of the people they turn into collections says a lot. This place has the most unhelpful staff I have ever dealt with and it is nonsense that they keep your account open and keep charging it even if they turn you into collections.

After being a member for over 10 years I decided to cancel mine and my daughters memberships, due, in part, to the decrease in customer service, what seemed to be high employee turnover (hardly ever recognized the faces behind the counter), and worn out/broken equipment. After being told to wait until closer to end of my billing cycle to cancel (so I could utilize the facility for another 30 days after giving them notice) they waived the 30 day cancellation requirement and told me that my membership was canceled. Two weeks later they charged me for one of the gym memberships. When I called and asked to speak to someone I was told I would receive a call back...which I never did...after another two weeks I called again and was told I would receive a call back...which I never did, but this time got an e-mail saying that my daughters account was never canceled, but not to worry because now it was...yet I wasnt going to be refunded the amount. This final experience with Golds Gym soon to be Mesa Fitness only validated my reasonings for canceling my memberships. They got too big and forgot the first rule of business...customer service.

Golds Gym in Clifton has so much to offer. From a wide variety of machines, to a well maintained pool/hot tub/sauna area, personal training, massage therapists, kids club. My personal favorite is all of the group fitness classes and special events like Zumba® Fitness parties and RPM® Glow Party! Amazing staff who truly care about every member.

I have been a member of this gym for a little over three years now and have loved my experience! So much so that I recently became a group exercise instructor and have decided to pursue a career in fitness! Love the Clifton Golds team!!

I have only taken advantage of their swimming pool/spa/sauna/steam room. The pool has three lanes, and I believe it is 50m long. The sauna is roomy. The steam room is great with constant steam. Sizable lockerroom. There is a juice bar on the premises. Child care available. Nice facility with a lot of equipment/machines. Worth checking out.I plan to participate in some of the classes come the new year.

Terrible atmosphere. First day in I was greeted by a bunch if guys hooting and making a scene. They were threatening but no one said a word to them.

Great Great instructors!!! I was a drop in for two days going thru town and was treated like a regular, which is soo nice and unexpected. I was bummed with the smoothies, think they could and that situation up a little. But yes the club is great, pretty up to date, clean etc. And everyone is accommodating.

Ive had a lot of issues with the equipment here. But its closer to my house so its the one I use the most. The Golds across town became Mesa fitness and I like to go there as it has a much nicer feel. This location also doesnt offer the class options that MF does.

Love that this gym has a different vibe then the other gyms in town. Smaller but has everything you need for a good workout! Can be kind of full certain times of day but usually after may it slows down !

SHOWERS ARE FREQUENTLY OUT OF HOT WATER, NO SOAP IN THE DISPENSERS, CONSTANT CHANGES IN WATER PRESSURE. THE ONE TIME I TRIED THE HOT TUB, STEAM & SAUNA THEY WERE ALL COLD. I COMPLAINED ABOUT THESE THINGS BEFORE BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO MAKE RENOVATIONS AFTER THEY CHANGED FROM GOLDS GYM TO MESA FITNESS, BUT THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED.

The gym is ok but beware if you want to cancel. You have to give them 30 days written notice and you are charged for the whole next month, even if you give the 30 days a day after you’ve just renewed. This was NOT told to me when I signed up so I get to waste another $45. What a rip off.

I REALLY hope that youll add more evening yoga classes. Goose is awesome, and Tuesdays only is not cutting it for me.

Staff is awesome. I can almost always get the equipment I need. I am however upset about handmade signs everywhere. Signs saying dont slam lid on swimsuit dryer, switch is new on steam room, dont do this, do that, geez theres one ridiculous one on a 6ft tall dry eraser board RIGHT next to hot tub, saying shower before entering or your membership WILL be terminated. Smile your on camera. Give me a break. Its been there for two months. I just personally think its tacky. The other Golds in town doesnt find this necessary. Its an eye sore, gives the gym the feeling of being a prison, and surely doesnt help AT ALL. Take the signs down, get good products and maintenance, and police your business quietly. This isnt grade school.

Right down the street and its not often crowded. like this one better than grand junction location. overall its a good deal and a decent facility to workout. I like crossroads fitness better, but value is good here.

The gym is clean, great equipment, the staff is wonderful - knowledgeable and friendly, the classes and instructors are superb! Womens only area available, cardio theater, pool, hot tub, steam and sauna. Massage and tanning too!

Staff is amazing, equipment especially bikes, treadmills etc need to be kept up better. You write problems on the board and they only get erased never repaired. People can and do get hurt, the owner really needs to know what is going on in his gym if the repair guy is not going to do his job get one that will.

Best gym I have been a member of. Eveything is clean and working. Staff friendly and make a point to say hi and bye. I have no complaints

I go to Mesa Fitness 4 or 5 times a week. I feel comfortable in that routine, and that makes it easier to stick to that schedule. Helpful staff.

If youre a self motivated person youll do fine, but this gym is lacking in many areas. Below are my observations, which arent meant to be negative, but simply my honest/subjective observations.The pool burned off my body hair, so I had to quit using it.The Spin equipment is old, offers no metrics or feedback (no computers attached), and often the (usually unfit/overweight) instructors start late and end early.Its not a very clean facility. The lockers are old, and oddly sized. The showers in the mens locker room generally smell of urine.The staff is friendly and seem like nice folks, but if you have questions about things they dont have ready answers and just offer to tell someone else for you, which isnt very helpful.Its fairly cheap, $49 a month on a month-to-month basis, so Ill continue going for now.

The gym was great, but it is impossible to cancel your membership! I moved away without remembering to cancel my gym membership and now they will not let me cancel unless I show up in person. Have talked to numerous people about this and am disappointed with the horrible customer service.

Semaj my personal trainer forged my signature and was paid for 8 training sessions that I never participated in before he skipped town. Golds Gym mgmt refused to allow me to cancel my membership and be reimbursed. After I discovered the discrepancy they investigated and said they would reinstate 7 of the stolen sessions & spoke to me like I was getting a deal. Golds mgmt claims I only had the right to a refund during a three day period when I signed up. When I told him that I had not been ripped off and violated during the three day period therefore an exception should be made, all he would do is repeat himself like a parrot. So much for honest working relationships within the community. I would NEVER recommend this gym, nor its regime to anyone. Unfortunately Im still paying for a membership I wont use and Im still being ripped off for the 8 sessions I paid for. Thieves!

I give it a zero.. I went here for almost 3 years..they dont want successful healthy out goals.. the gym trainers dont know real workouts.. Just the ones to shutdown your body function and hamilate you. Trainers do no know dieting or nutrition and says macros are fake. But eat a trash can of spaghetti and the next day you have a six pack.. but he been seriously fat for all 3 years..The bathrooms and showers are messy and smelly. Pool was always dark green or black. And the manager harrassed me for being a marine veteran. And for being stronger and smarter than him..And a trainer keeps touching alot of the ladiesSo if you like real results dont go here. Dont ever get a trainer here.. they mess your body up.. worse gym on the planet..
