This facility is constantly failing to do its job. We all have a job to do and yet when we fail we get some sort of punishment. However at this place it seems that failure is the standard that they hold dearly and can be counted on to fail everytime your package goes through here. I wish I could ask that any package of mine could go ANY where else to avoid the stupidity that is this facility. When a package as left and returned 5 times in a row you are obviously wasting your own resources in gas alone and I find it mindboggling that we pay you for your ludicrous work.

We sent a package which still shows in transit since june 3 and it is 6/15 today with no update 9400108205496749300610. I tried calling but unsurprisingly no one answers. There may be a chance where the item will get updated in the future but the third party merchant has refunded the buyer. There are few companies/businesses out there that take responsibility as they should and this is not one of them. No matter what the sender/seller will always lose.

I’m just writing this to give someone less anxiety about their package arriving here because there’s some nasty comments down here. so far, I’ve ordered two vinyl records and both have came to this facility. one of them even came a day earlier than expected. i’m sorry for the people who’ve lost their packages or whom have had late packages. for anyone else out there, for me, i’ve had packages arrive a tad early or just on time.by the way, neither of the records came in awful condition. the lot of mail goes through facilities everyday, and most of the time it’s hard to blame everything on them. happy shopping xx

I ordered a package through A company out of California it shipped from California went to Georgia and then from Georgia to Greensboro. My package stayed in Greensboro for two days and then got redirected to Asheboro which I live in Gibsonville. Then got redirected from Asheboro back to Greensboro and then Greensboro redirected it to Alabama. I feel like a very high manager should look over this place they’re not being supervised like they should be. I understand that there is new workers but if them new workers cannot do their job they need to go find another one because this is a federal crime.

All packages that we ship (roughly 500 per week) go through the Greensboro distribution center and we are getting so much complaints about late delivery. Packages get stuck for days in this distribution center. It’s been like this for 4 years now and I truly cannot understand why this issue hasn’t been fixed. People should be held accountable and daily workflow needs to be changed/improved. Previously our packages went through Raleigh and we hardly had any problems.

My mail never delivers on time, and theyre always losing mail. They do not scan packages, which makes it impossible to track! Very mediocre. The worst usps ever. Ive lived in many states and zip codes, however, this is by far THE WORST!

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is a disaster. They cant blame COVID because my package can come through three different places in two and a half days and then get here and be stuck for days on end and you see scans from there that departs and arrives over and different times of the day on different days but always departing from here and arriving back here. It is a black hole. There is no excuse. Something needs to be done. Changes need to be made there.

This place is terrible. I would not give it any stars if possible. I have had a package stuck here for 5 days and counting. They actually sent it further away from my house and then sent it back to this horrible place. I live 2 hours from here, so I dont understand what is going on. Also you cannot get anyone on the phone and you cannot contact USPS customer service. I feel like driving there on my day off and see what is going on

Your package will arrive later than expected was sent to me with the tracking number on January 20th 2021. It is now March. The package must have been put on a truck out. But never arrived. Filing missing package report. Displeased. No delivery confirmed text or email. No telling what happened. I have tried to reach out with no response. This was a $60 package. They have multiple packages that I need for Christmas. There was an order placed in November that still hasnt arrived! The incompetence of this facility is mind blowing. As a teenager I would be able to run a organization better then this with a great costumer satisfaction rate. They manager of this facility should not be a manager of any sort and should quit. However, he will not quit because he is conceded and lacks the intelligence to know the proper thing to do.

Just like everyone else, my package is stuck in Greensboro. Ordered a package that had 3 day delivery and it could have made that margin if it didnt get stuck in Greensboro. Its only been about a day since its been there, but from reading other reviews on here from people in the same situation, It looks like its going to be a while. Im just happy that my package is not something that is going to make or break my business or something like that. Ive seen a lot of people talking about important business purchases being stuck at the facility. The manager at that facility needs to be fired and forced into a new industry because they should not be the manager of any distribution center in the country.

The Greensboro sorting facility needs to be shut down. Since 1/1/2021 this facility alone has cost me thousands of dollars due to packages that they are either losing or stealing, and since it is happening so much I would assume its the latter! They will not respond to inquires as to what is happening to the mail!

I had a package sent here and for two weeks was in transit to next facility but in reality it was just sitting here. I spent extra money to get it delivered in 2 days and I waited for almost 3 weeks. I understand COVID has slowed down a lot of this process... but 3 weeks? Especially after paying extra for faster delivery?I read in one of the reviews that if you call the National USPS number and speak to a physical person, youll get your package a lot sooner. So after 2.5 weeks of seeing in transit to next facility I called the National number and spoke to someone. I made a complaint that the Greensboro DC was a black void where orders go to die (I NEVER make complaints, but after reading so many bad reviews I felt the National USPS should be made aware of their situation) and I made a claim.Within 3 days I had my package.

Honestly, coming to google reviews for this place is the only thing thats keeping my sanity! I decided to post a review of my own in solidarity against what is happening at this facility. I live about 90 miles away in Hickory but our mail has to come through Greensboro for processing. Ive had mail get hung up here before but never like these last two episodes. I have a cc that was re issued to me on 12/2/20 that has not made it to me yet. I can give it a few more days and my bank will reissue it again. Its very scary that I can get junk mail daily but not my cc?? I made an online purchase from a major retailer on 12/6/20. They have stores across the Carolinas and my package was picked up on 12/7 by USPS in Greensboro. On 12/7, it departed this facility it arrived in Greensboro at a facility on 12/10 and departed Since then I have got daily updates that the package is late and in transit. I have filed a formal inquiry with the post office and it was forward to my local office. I received an automated standard email that it was being looked into. Since then, I have called and spoke to a rep at my local post office. They have no answers other than the Greensboro processing center is back logged severely. The USPS considers my package late after 30 days and I could file a claim then. I will just deal with my retailer and ask them to credit my purchase of close to $200.00 or send it to me again through another carrier. Meanwhile, if the original package shows up, Ill have to send it back. What a total mess and a hassle. Why cant someone in charge do an internal audit of what is going on at this place and get the issues fixed! Is it lack of staff, poorly trained staff or both! Im totally frustrated but will log back in to leave a follow up review on this situation.12/21/2020 Update: Was asked to complete a survey after being notified that my complaint ticket was being closed. Shortly afterward, my cc showed up Yay! and I was notified that my packaged departed from this facility on 12/17/2020. It took 4 more days for it to arrive at my post office and was delivered in one piece on 12/21/2020. Im happy my ordeal is over but I know so many other people waiting on packages. Hang in there folks. I hope everybody gets their stuff really soon but these postal problems need to be solved once and for all.

They are 400% over their max capacity and are struggling. But as I work at a warehouse it is not that hard to load boxes into a truck and scan them

My package was moving really pretty good from one place to another, gets to USPS Regional Origin Facility Greensboro NCdistribution center and the trail has gone cold, no longer any updates cant contact anyone and the retailer that used them said they are having a hard time getting any answers. I spent way too much money on a new phone and was expecting to wait only 4 days to have the thing delivered to my house. Its been almost 2 weeks now. I just want my phone I know this isnt urgent or an emergency but if I paid extra for first class shipping I should get it on time. Whats worse is that I feel like the longer its there the more chances it was to get damaged. My dad bought a tablet that went through this same center awhile ago and it showed up with a damaged screen.

Greensboro Distribution Center has had my package for 2 weeks. Ive tried calling, Ive tried tracking and if I lived closer I would of gone there myself. The seller wont give me a refund and USPS doesnt care. Thanks for ruining my husbands gift and thanks for costing me 50 dollars because I have no way to get that money back. Should be a rating of 0. If a person pays for priority shipping, why can’t USPS guarantee the delivery on time? How does a package get from Florida to Greensboro in 2 days but can’t get across town in a week? I do not recommend USPS for any package shipping from Greensboro. The Greensboro facilities seem to be the worst in the area. How does it take 15 days for a package from High Point to get to an address in Greensboro? USPS should find out what Amazon does and do that.

Tracking order shows that package has been sitting at the Greensboro distribution Center since December 3. It is now December 11. Tried to call facility multiple times and phone just rings and rings, no one picks up no answering machine. I live 30 minutes from this distribution center and do not understand why it cannot get to me Any faster. Cant reach anyone on the phone. An alternate number is given with a mailbox that is full so you cant even leave a message. My package was ordered November 30th and arrived in Greensboro on December 3rd. My understanding is that USPS does not update their system and cannot find packages when asked anyway. Very disappointing and frustrating. Wish the company I ordered from had given me another option for shipping. This is a terrible way to do business.

I wish there was a way to give a NEGATIVE 5!! I am so frustrated by the Greensboro Distribution Center and Network Distribution Center. I have 3 packages at one or the other (going back and forth between the two....and what is the difference, anyway?) One package has been there since Nov 21st, today is Dec 4th, and it is still in transit to the next facility which should be my local PO to deliver to me, about 30 minutes from there. The other two have been in Greensboro for over 8 days, and in transit to the next facility. ALL of them were mailed First Class...a 3 day delivery that I paid for with the purchases. US Postal workers are Federal Employees and therefore get higher wages than most of us and cant be fired, so why should they make an effort to do a good job. They dont have to. And WE pay for them to work there and get the good benefits, so WE are duped paying for more folks to either not work at all or not give a flip with doing their job and there is no accountability! I am so SICK of this! Obviously the management doesnt care either, so it will never change. Like another person mentioned if they dont want to do their jobs...or show up for the job, let them go and hire folks that would love to have the salary, benefits and more importantly would actually WORK for it. PLEASE!! Who needs to be contacted to change this long time ongoing problem?

The employees need to do their jobs quickly and accurately or be held accountable. They wont allow customers into this facility to come get their packages and do their job for them. I currently have 1 lost package and 3 late packages. Packages just sit at this location too long for no legitimate reason. Amazon can always get my packages to me on time. No matter the weather or the covid situation. USPS has had a year to strategize around covid. Covid isnt a valid excuse for laziness. I hope competitors who can handle the job step in and usps becomes an awful memory.

Since at least early December 2020 every single tracked package thats gone through here has been late. I always pray that items will go through Durham, but they almost always end up at this distribution center and get stuck for days, often with no updates or revised ETA. I was a bit more understanding around Christmas, but every single thing I order is STILL LATE. Someone needs to fix this.

It’s extremely disappointing when it say your package will be at your door in three days and it does not come, and you look at how long it will late and it says a number which is a week away. The Black Hole of USPS.Packages enter but never return...Absolutely the worst in customer service all tightly wrapped up on covid-19/ election excuses. My package arrived at the USPS NDC- Greensboro on November 13 and I have navigated [endured] all of the phone system bull to arrive at a case# which has proven to be useless. The best answer I could obtain from a USPS employee is that the package is held in a container in Greensboro but they do not now which container and it could take up to 5 weeks to arrive because of the election- oh yea and the corona virus also...I would not give the USPS a zero rating but it would be nice if the rating system allowed for a decimal between zero and one. The overall USPS attitude is beyond terrible/ miserable.

Giving this place one star is an overstatement. I purchased a sweater from a private seller online and it was being sent from Maryland. She shipped it 9 days ago! It’s been sitting here for at least a week at this point. I don’t even live very far from this place. I’ve had stuff come through here before that’s been delayed, but I never thought much of it. I can’t imagine what it must be like to have life saving medication sent through this place. Can you stop holding peoples stuff that they PAID FOR hostage? Thanks.

Mailed a package 11/16 from Ohio. Arrived in Arizona 11/17. Claims rerouted because wrong address on package. (It was a pre stamped package that was labeled.) Arrived 11/22 In Greensboro. No new tracking and can’t get ahold of anyone. I didn’t buy insurance on my package because it got picked up from my mailbox. It’s now MIA and nowhere to be found.

I was more than disappointed to find that my package took 6 days beyond the expected delivery date to arrive at its destination. I found that my package went from Greensboro to Kansas City, KS in order to arrive in Maryland. There are two distribution centers in Maryland, so I question why Greensboro thought it should go out West? A mystery. In addition, I have sent birthday cards (regular sized envelopes) that have taken a week to travel from North Carolina to Maryland. It is discouraging that our local distribution center seems to be lacking in the necessary personnel and equipment to properly and timely deliver the mail.

Ive used the so called priority mail and one package got there on time the other took an extra day. I mailed a package to my Dad for his birthday and veterans day via priority mail and it got shipped to CT and NJ distribution centers. Again its going to be delayed. It was supposed to have gotten there by 11/10/20 in Lewisville NC! No wonder youre called snail mail. Thank God I voted in person. Youre the reason why the election is so screwed up. My packages went from out for delivery to arriving late. It’s now 11/07 and I still have not received my packages. I called the 1-800 number and was told I cannot file a complaint until after a week. This has to be the most pathetic sorting facility known to the USPS. Packages sit for days that are only 30 mins. drive time from their destination. And the country wonders why the USPS is under water and places like UPS and FedEx thrive. I would just dump the USPS and let UPS take over even mail delivery and create a division for that as well. Private entities seem to do a better job than ones with government involvement.

All my mail routed through here bounces around for 1-2 days and ends up arriving 1-2 days later than predicted as a result. I live in Winston Salem. As soon as I see “GREENSBORO NC DISTRIBUTION CENTER” I know my mail will drag it’s heels and alternate between that and “GREENSBORO NC NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER”. It’s a sign of certain doom when my mail reaches Greensboro, when it should be so close and deliverable by that stage in its journey.The included tracking history image is /typical/. Minimum of 7 days added to each recent package, no matter how quickly it moved before. Its a shame how unavoidable this is, USPS is a basic service, and I cant always choose how something will come to me either.

My packages are constantly being held up for long periods of time at Greensboro. Why is is called priority mail when packages just sit there for days or weeks ? Have yet to get a package on time since living here, always gets hung up here. Literally nowhere else Ive lived or traveled to and used USPS has it been this slow, or completely unreliable. As other reviewers say, this is the USPS black hole.

The USPS has gone down hill. Maybe its just Greensboro. In the last year, packages seem to make it to Greensboro quickly and then sit. Most recently I had a package make it to Greensboros distribution center on the 5th. As of today, its still there. 5 days and they cannot pass it through the hub.

It seems Greensboro is where packages go MIA. My Daughters birthday gift was SUPPOSED to be at her house on the 19th. I ordered it weeks ago. And when I checked tracking, it said its been sitting here. I dont know what Ill do If they lose it, its going to be hard to order another. It was a rare collectible doll. I dont know why the company I ordered from chose USPS instead of using a more reliable service like FedEx. I get that its Christmas and theres Covid-19, but why has everything else arrived on time that was UPS or FedEx???? You cant blame Covid-19 on this. It seems like this facility has been incompetent way before that! And theres too many packages going missing. Theyre probably stealing them. My boyfriend and I both recently have ran into issues with this facility. I have a package I paid extra to have delivered earlier and it’s been there for almost 2 days now. I LIVE in Greensboro and I can’t even get a hold of anyone or even arrange to pick it up and i’m worried bc my boyfriend had the same situation where it was moving fast right up until it got to greensboro and it was stuck for days. i’m fine waiting but Im just worried considering how bad of an experience everyone seems to have when it comes to this facility and I don’t want my package to be “lost” or just never get to me because thats money down the drain and Im a HS student :/

This facility really needs a complete overhaul. I run an ebay business where I shipped 40-50 packages a week and the only USPS distribution center that ever gives me issues is this one. I currently have packages that I shipped out January 4th - 5th that have been held up in Greensboro for 8 days. This is unacceptable...there needs to be a call for change at this facility because it is negatively affects small businesses all over the carolinas. Its disgraceful that I have to refund my customers just because of my package going through this facility. Get it fixed guys

I’ve had a package sitting at this sorting facility since October 9th. It was shipped from Canada and arrived in Greensboro in less than a week. I live about 15 minutes from this facility. Last week I opened a research case into my missing package. The USPS closed that case the next morning without explanation, but sent me an email with a survey asking about the “service” they provided in regards to my case. My local delivery mailmen tell me there is nothing they can do. I’ve left voicemails at multiple extensions regarding my situation, simply asking for a phone call and have received zero communication back. There is no more excuse. I’ve waited three weeks for this small package to finish the last 15 miles of its trip from Canada. What’s it going to take?

I have a package there 8 days Im 45 min away. Also other packages I ordered across the us have passed and came. I called several times and they hung up I left messages no response. I know who to contact today luckily I know someone above who can maybe help or at least get rid of some of the problem lol. I will never use the usps again and advise everyone else not to. I pay bills by phone and I dont care Ill fed ex a freaking letter. Update 15 days and waiting and no updates.

Greensboro Distribution Center is like the Bermuda Triangle where packages get lost in an abyss. Truthfully, packages are shipped to random locations that have never before been on the regular route and for unnecessarily long periods of time. Packages even yo-yo back and forth out of state, spend a little time here, sent it over there, back to here, round and round again for weeks. One that my niece in ID sent my mother in NC that I have been tracking for almost 30 days: Went from ID to FL (?) then up to NC. Bounced around between Greensboro, Kernersville, back to Greensboro, over to Valdese and now back to Greensboro again. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if it finally arrives in another month with a passport stamp from Finland. A call to a post master in NC was even more confusing with her telling us that Greensboro is so overwhelmed they have to send some packages to other sites for processing. My question remains—if they can send it to 3-4 wrong sites, why can’t they simply sent it to the right one? Smh.

If I could give this facility 0 stars I would. I sent a Global Express Guaranteed package on November 27 (USPS highest tier service). It was guaranteed to be delivered on Dec. 2 but has been sitting in this facility since Dec. 1 2020. The employees here have been contacted by a Postal Service investigator multiple times and I have called three times so far, and they have failed to find my package. I doubt theyve even looked for it. If at all possible, keep your packages away from this facility.

The fact that everyone is having the same issue is absolutely absurd. If your location cant deliver accurately then leave it at the facility and Ill come pick it up myself. I dont understand how my package got from ATL to Greensboro in a day....and then sits in Greensboro in transit for DAYS. This location does not respond to emails nor return calls. Who do we have to contact to actually get some results🤬. If I paid for a package...OBVIOUSLY I want it. You shouldnt get to decide whether or not my package is priority

Last three of four packages in the past 2 months were held up at this distribution center. One package going to Indiana took 3.5 weeks to get there after sitting in Greensboro for weeks. Another package going to Charleston never scanned for tracking at this facility and took a week to get to Charleston. Another package has been stuck at this facility for over a week so far. Just tried to file an online mail search for this last package and it seems the link to report it doesnt work. Too many people lost jobs during Covid. Get rid of the ones not doing their job and hire someone who will!**Filed a search for missing mail. Just got an email response saying that services are slowed due to Covid. The worst part is that the USPS really thinks we believe that.

I have ordered a package from a reputable company and it’s was sent to Greensboro Distribution Center... They took 4 days to process the package and then sent my package to the wrong County. The county sent my package to Greensboro and now Greensboro has a delivery exception on my package... This is completely unacceptable for an US government agency to handle their business so poorly... I don’t know how to say it nicely. This place is horrible. Packages sit for 2 weeks or more before they are delivered. USPS has done multiple audits since 1998, and found serious problems at this facility, yet nothing is done to fix it.

Waiting for packages that have been sitting at this facility 4 days. Tried to call and was given 4 different numbers. Got one where I was told by a message that if I reached this message all represenatives were helping other customers and to leave a name and detailed message and they will call you back. Only problem is they didnt say how long you had to wait. Im still waiting for either a call back or my packages to be delivered.

Shipped a packaged out on the 22nd of November it’s the 3rd of December and it’s still sitting at this location. Package was a 2day priority. I also ordered and item and it’s been sitting at this location for 5 days. Then u call and ask for your package and they say it’s not at this location? It hasn’t moved since it was last scanned there. Just like fedex in kernersville. Maybe they need to be out on the news and then maybe they will pick up the pace or start doing their job a little better.

Should have done research before choosing the cheaper option of USPS. This facility was ranked 3rd in the country for slowest operations and this was reviewed by USPS itself. I live 12 miles away from the facility and it’s been sitting there for a week. It already got there late. What’s the point in paying extra for express? Setting up a claim does nothing. You can’t contact anyone at the facility. Full voicemails! If you can’t get mail out in a timely manner, let people go pick up their package. I would sympathize if they were understaffed due to Covid like the automated national system says, but this has been going on for years. Even found a report from 1998 about this facility being poor and reviewed by the postmaster general or whatever bogus title.

AWFUL. My MARRIAGE LICENSE, yes, a legal document, has been held up in Greensboro since November 1. For some reason, this document went from Raleigh to Fayetteville to Greensboro, just to apparently disappear into thin air. Unbelievable that we are expected to buy into the postal service and trust them with our most important mail. I will NEVER trust the postal service after this. You shouldnt either.

ZERO stars ! I had a pkg arrive at this distribution center Nov. 1st and has not moved for 6 days now ! it took only 2 days to get from KY to OH to the 27495 facility ! Im very glad my mail/pkgs dont usually go to this facility usually 27498 to my 27406 in NO TIME AT ALL ! Its worth noting that Im still getting a lot of JUNK mail like fliers on who to vote for. THE ELECTION IS OVER this mail is MOOT and should be recycled ! Since moving from CA to NC ive noticed how far customer service has fallen ! The main difference I see is most of the workforce back in CA is white or brown, but here in greensboro, mostly black... a coincidence ? I dont think so !
