This was one of the worst Gel Manicures Ive ever gotten. I tried this location because it was convenient. Honestly, It was very clean, the chairs were comfy, But the quality of the Manicure was very poor. I could see through the paint, there werent enough coats. The paint also bubbled on almost every nail. Typically a gel Manicure lasts 2 weeks, most places guarantee that. This Manicure hasnt lasted 1 week before it started chipping. Most places also give you a short hand massage with lotions, and sometimes hot stones if you ask for a Manicure, not just paint.. They didnt even file my nails.. it was 35$I couldnt talk with my tech at all, I tried to talk to her and tell her I was getting engaged this weekend and I really wanted a full pamper treatment, she just sort of ignored me and kept working. While my nails were in the light drying, another technician came and jerked the light off my hands and argued with my technician. She could have easily messed up my wet nails and wasnt the least bit apologetic. It was wild. I will not be returning to this location 😒

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called Star Nails today to ask if they had time for a walk-in they said to go ahead and come in. After I waited for 30 minutes the lady that runs the business, started my nails but she had to switch with a man that was doing another ladys nails because he got in an argument with the client he was working with and wouldnt finish her nails. So now the male nail tech is doing my nails (the polish was fine but the shape was wrong and uneven). The owner and male nail tech also got in an argument with a black lady because they didnt do her pedicure right and she was willing to pay($5) to have it fixed. After they cussed her and told her to leave she left and didnt pay the extra $5 because they were yelling at her to leave!!!!!! And then after she left they were yelling curse words around clients and a child in the salon. They even said that they know how her type is and they dont like working with them. Cheap nails are not worth that experience! I thought I was going to get my nails done and relax and instead my blood pressure is up. Also it was not very clean. There were still nail trimmings and dust on the desk that they were doing my nails on...

Best place ever. I drive 40min just to get a great services from them.Love their foot massage.

I went for a pedicure yesterday and I wasn’t explain to that they did not file corn down. I asked about it upon the services started but was talked to rule and talk to owner after services she told me I need to go back to the saloon that does that I paid 50 dollars but I will never go there again. This was my third services with them so I know they did that once before after my services my feet felt so rough and my feelings was so hurt but I still told everyone to have a nice day after getting my service there never ever spend my hard earn money again

Ladiesss!!! Let me tell you, this is the one!!!! I did not have to tell her to clean up my hang nails, or tell her to not make the acrylic to thick and she was HONEST about my nail shape choice when I asked her. She recommended what she would change to make my nails fit MY HAND! These are the key things I am looking for in my nail tech and she most definitely slayed. My nail Tech was Lan! I went to use a gift certificate given to me for my birthday and it had a 6month expiration date, I am 13 days past due because of Covid I waited till I was fully vaccinated I explained this and they were unwilling to accept the $25 coupon even after I explained I would be spending more money. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Especially since the entire country has made exceptions due to Covid.

I went in at 1030, left at 1230 all I got was a gel manicure. Got home and my nails are popping off already and when I got back I got half my money back. I wouldnt recommend. It took 2 hrs for my nails bc they constantly have to get up to help others and then they look terrible and the quality is just awful. Dont waste your money, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me.

Got in right away, no appointment. The pedi leg massage was phenomenal. My nails look gorgeous and everybody was great.

I love it here, Im new to the area so I was looking for a good place to go. The staff is very friendly, they provide excellent customer service and are very professional. They arent like some of the other local shops I visited before going there...they didnt make me feel rushed, file my nails down until they burned, nor did they overcharge me. They made me feel very relaxed. I think I found a new home shop. Did I mention their work is beautiful too 🙂

Terrible experience. Very unprofessional. I was the only customer in the salon at the time. While one lady was doing my nails, the male owner sat down in the chair directly next to us and watched extremely loud videos on his cellphone with expletives being yelled, including the word “nig***”. After 10 minutes of this, I asked him to stop the videos and explained how rude it was to do sitting beside a customer, especially with the loud, foul language. His response was “oh”. Zero apology from him or ANYONE, including the girl doing my nails. Will never go back.

The man had a very nasty attitude as if he didn’t want to work but if he don’t like his job he shouldn’t be there. He made the atmosphere not welcoming. He told me to go find someone that does designs but he should have just sent me to one of his coworkers. These were for my sweet 16 pictures and I am nowhere near satisfied. I should have went somewhere else. Then I called back and he told my mom I picked the color but I showed him the picture I liked and he acted as if he couldn’t give me that, but we didn’t argue because we refuse to argue with someone who barely can speak English. That was a wasted 50 dollars I SHOULD HAVE WENT TO WALGREENS AND GOT SOME PRESS ONS‼️

I been going there for a few months now. I try to go every 2-3 weeks. Every time I go, someone different does my nails. It has gotten worse and worse every time. They do a quick job and don’t even care about the results. Again, today I had a new guy do my nails. I always get them rounded. They were awful. I had to go home after paying $88 and fix them myself!!! And even when you call and set appointment they overbook people and you have to wait. I don’t recommend this place and will definitely not be going back.

If I can give negative stars for a rating I would. The gentleman (owner or manager) that works there has the worst attitude I have probably ever encountered. I sat quietly, after waiting to be helped an hour after my appointment, and him and I didnt speak... which is fine by me. I then had a question about the color I chose.....WELL you wouldve thought I kicked his household pet or something. He got really nasty AND loud. Sooooo I did not get nasty back, BUT I did let him know he can not and will not speak to me the way he was. Needless to say, my nails are not shaped correctly or even good AND the polish WAS old and all chunky. So kudos to Star nails I have to pay someone else to fix them.

I went and got a full set of gel nails on 2/5, had a great experience with Whitney. She’s very personable and she did a wonderful job. This morning 2/7 I noticed one of my nails broke completely off so I decided to go back. I told them I was very disappointed and the lady said she would fix it for free. (Not Whitney the older lady, also VERY NICE) The man, Damrol was VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! He was the one who fixed it, he did one coat of the glitter polish so now it doesn’t match the other nails. I spoke to him THREE times and he IGNORED me. Told me it was my fault that gel nails ‘don’t just break’. I was so uncomfortable and he made me feel like I was wrong for coming back to get it fixed. I LOVED Whitney and I wanted her to be my new regular nail tech but now I will not be back because of how poorly and unprofessional I was treated by him.

Don’t go here! We made an 11am appointment and didn’t get helped until 11:30. We chose the $37 pedicures and then at checkout they informed us that they are up charging due to COVID-19 and charged us $40 each. Very unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

They did an amazing job! Im fairly new to the area and went to a nail place near my house. They did a horrible job. I had my nails on for 2 weeks and looked like they had been on for a month. So I went to Star Nails to get them filled. They did a great fixing my nails from the horrible job done the first time. They look so natural for artificial nails. Thank you! I went there today, I really like that place, but if I want something specific done, I want it done, money is not an issue! Well the girl who was doing my pedicure did a great job, but kept saying it was $5 extra for this, then $5 extra for that, then the owner came over and said something else about $5 extra too! I mean it crazy, what the hell was the issue, well I think because more people were coming in so hurry up and get done, what about me, do it righr, so rushed about taking the next person! Jesus! I like that place, but guess I will be going somewhere else, by the way gave the girl a $20 tip! WHO ELSE DOES THAT?!

I went in today for only getting polish on my toe nails. After the nails were finished drying I looked closely at the job. My left big toe had some running nail polish down a side of toe. And some of the nails were not fully covered with polish. This was my 3rd time to use this company. Next time I will be more cognizant of the job.

Went to get two toes repainted after I just got my toes done last week. A regular pedicure normally will last me 3 weeks to a month. The polish came off just from having socks on. I have never seen this problem before so I went back to tell the owner. This is not the first time I have given my business to Star Nails, so I did not think they would have given me a problem. The woman owner had one of her employees fix it but was giving me a hard time. She stated the polish only last for 3 days and told me I wasn’t welcomed anymore, so I will not be given anymore of my business to them.**Note: This business needs to stop overbooking people, stay up to date with nail trends and hire more employees.

Quality of work was poor. This was my 1st time there and I was trying to be fair. They talk at you and the place extremely cold regardless of the weather the customers should feel comfortable.

The women that works in this shop are great and very friendly but the men are not as friendly and seems as if youre bothering them when customers is what keeps your business running. If I come back I will only let the women do my nails since the owner (a male) that did my nails got an attitude because I decided to change my nail color before he even painted them.

I enjoyed the salon at the time but after my mani pedi there was still dead skin that hadnt been removed, my gel polish was flaking and coming off after less than a week (i usually make it 3 weeks before this happens) and Im pretty sure I got an infection in my toe from being there. Didnt have one before I went there. Only went because my normal spot had too long of a wait but I most likely will not return.

I made an appointment got there I had to wait almost 2 hours while I was waiting she charged another customer $25 for acrylics when I payed she $40 because it was closing time and that included her tip?? LIKE ??? I went in at 4:30 and left at 7:00 because of there wait time. And I had an appointment !?!

It was my 1st time there and the reviews said the guys did a bad job. Well I went and there was only 1 guy who was able to do my nails. His name is Kenny and he did a FABULOUS job. Im not about any of the other men, but Kenny did GREAT!!!

The man is the best he found the colors I wanted and did awesome on my nails the lady that did my toes was great but the one who did my nails was ok she had already messed up the lady eyebrows waxing them I think she need improvement my toes and nails are two different colors and then go say 63 dollars never again

Ive been in clayton for 2 years and I have been to every nail place around here and as far as Raleigh. I was at star nails in clayton for the second time. Let me tell you when I say perfection its all that. So perfect and none of that up charges that these other places do just to make an extra buck. The owners are very good with every one who walks in and dont think you are getting out of the door without them checking the job that was done. The wife is got such magnetism, her smile is so real you just want to pull up a chair and stay while. All and all this is the best place in clayton and surrounding areas . You will not be sorry

Went in for a pedicure on sat evening and left thinking my toes were dry and ended up messing up polish on my two big toes. I went back in on Mon, just to get polish fixed and instead of the guy removing the old polish and repainting the two toes he painted over top of the old polish and created an even bigger mess. Disappointed to say the least and probably will not be going back.

I called and ask specifically what I could come in with no wait time. I was told between 11:35 and 11:40 so I made my apt. for 11:40 and I get there on time.Was not seen until 12:20 so I didnt have time for a full manicure, only a polish change which I smudged rushing back to work :(

Horrible place. I left in the middle of getting my nails done. Went to another place who couldnt believe what the guy had done to my nails. My nails are really, all i needed was a fill-in. I will never return... I should have left when i seen two other people return for repair and they just got their nails done the day before...

Despite scheduling our appointment and then arriving for that appointment 20 minutes early--we were rushed through like we were a walk-in. They would not even give my teernage daughter time enough to pickfrom lunch her nail color. The Asian man with the balding hair was horrific--he was rough handed on a teenage girl and wouldnt even make eye contact. My daughter was so rushed with color selection that there was confusion in the end of the process. When my daughter questioned--she was yelled at and called out in the establishment. And, then mocked in their native tongue! I did not need to speak the language to pick up on the mockery or disrespect! This is a horrible dispicable establishment to which I will never recommend or return!!! Horrible terrible customer service and total disrespect for their patrons!!!!!

I just left in tears!!! Not because they did a bad job on my nails, but how I was treated!! I told Kenny as soon as I sat down that I did not want my nails square, I wanted them round. Plus, he was so rough, it made me jump up out of my seat a little and say ouch a couple of times. He made one of my fingers bleed...and never said im sorry or acknowledged that he had hurt me! He seemed to get angrier the more he worked on my nails....dont have a clue about that! He hadnt said 2 words since I sat down! When he finished...my nails were SQUARE...so I asked him to fix it and make them round. He really got angry then and started filing my nails so hard it was shaking the table! I told him if he didnt want to do it...I would go somewhere else!! He just kept filing furiously. He said I should have said something sooner....are you kidding...I told him when I SAT DOWN!! DOESNT REALLY MATTER....HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER TREATED ME THAT WAY....NO TIP AND NO REPEAT CUSTOMER!!!! UNCALLED FOR AND HURTFUL!!
