I will not be going back. I normally dont mind waiting to get nails done but if I have an appointment I would hope I would be helped sooner then an hour after my appointment then being told I need to sit down and remove my own nails because they decided it would be faster. Im sorry if Im paying for a nail removal and a new dip I would hope they would remove them and take the time to dip my nails correctly instead if making me wait and hour and a half and rush though my nails and now have to go somewhere else to have them redone because they are messed up. The sides of some of my nails are missing polish and they are miss sharpened so thank you for wasting $57.00 of my money and 2 hours of my life for nothing. Next times if you are low staffed and you have other appointment take the time to call them and reschedule them instead of wasting my time and money.

Although Linda was a delight as a person, her work was very poor. You could see through my dip, there were ridges that weren’t at all smooth, and my nails came off within 3 days. It pains me to write this, but it was the worst manicure I’ve ever had.

I have been visiting Lucy Lee since I moved to the area three years ago. After just two visits, Lucy and all of the very friendly technicians made me feel like family. I brought my three-year-old niece in for her first mani and they treated her like a princess! My nails always look perfectly groomed and polished. Lien knew exactly which treatments I should and shouldn’t try on my specific nail type. She is a pro. Ann is also professional, delightful, and meticulous. The best nail experience in the area!

Lucy Lee Nail Salon is by far the best nail care / grooming experience I’ve had in St. Louis! I moved here about a year ago and thankfully landed in Lucy’s hands after trying many others. I went in a week ago and got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I have to say the massage was wonderful. Best one I’ve had after trying various salons in Clayton. Unfortunately for some reason, the gel manicure didn’t work well, but I went back and talked with salon and they were very gracious to fix it. Sometimes these things happen and I was impressed with their customer service. I will definitely return. The atmosphere is relaxing and I appreciate that there are no TVs.

After only one visit, I dont plan on going anywhere else. I found my place. I got a pedicure and manicure, both of which were fantastic. The massages were wonderful, and the staff took great care to make sure I was happy and relaxed.

If I could rate them zero stars I would. My friend recommended this salon to me, and whenever she has gotten her nails have looked wonderful. Unfortunately when I went today my nails look like trash. I showed my nail tech who also happens to be the manager, a picture of the shape I wanted. My nails do not even look relatively close to the picture. Each nail is a different shape and some of them are really fat, like I did the 100 layers of polish challenge. Lucy, my nail tech, rushed to finish my nails and did not put an ounce of care in them. I went back after leaving the first time to get them fixed and even after that they still look terrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s disturbing that the owner would treat a paying customer the way I was treated. I am not sure how they have a four star rating because there customer service and nail job were both terrible. Again I would never recommend.

I really wanted to like this place since its so cute and much cleaner than some other salons Ive visited in the area. Unfortunately, even after making an appointment online, I waited 30 minutes before someone was even able to help me. The general atmosphere was disappointing since all of their customers seem to pour in directly from their spa day at the Ritz - entitled and extremely disrespectful to the technicians and other customers. Linda, however, was so nice and complimentary, so Im willing to give it another shot.

I should have known walking in seeing those fake flowers. I was not impressed. My lady was so gruff, not nice at all. And she was rushing! You would expect better service since it was across from the Ritz. And my nails already chipped. Linda I exclude from this she is a sweetie, like a momma.

If you’re looking for amazing service, Lucy Lee Salon is my go to nail place and the BEST salon in the Saint Louis area. Although I live downtown I still make the trip to Clayton for the fantastic service I receive each and every time. The environment is beautiful and very relaxing. I usually call ahead and am serviced right away. My nails always come out perfect wether it be an acrylic full set, dip gel nails or pedicure. Lucy the owner does my nails most of the time and she is the sweetest! All of the technicians are very talented and friendly and I see a lot of repeat customers who enjoy coming in and chatting. It’s also a very male friendly place! Look no further for beautiful nails :)

Went in for a pedicure with my mother-in-law, no appointment. We were both really impressed with their incredibly clean and welcoming atmosphere. We loved the friendly staff and were impressed with how well-staffed they were. As people kept coming in there was always another employee to help them. No one had to wait. I would highly recommend this place!

I’d like to start by saying I have never left a review for any business but I felt obligated to let others know my awful experience. I went in for a gel manicure, and should have known within minutes it was going to be an absolute disaster. My nails felt like they were on fire as my tech filed off my previous gel, which now are paper thin. Every nail is now brittle, a different shape, a different length, and the polish is out of the lines, bumpy, lumpy, you name it. This service was done yesterday and my nails are already chipping and cracking down the center where she filed them down so thinly. RUN.

Terrible service. I’m very disappointed because I really wanted to enjoy my visit here. I wish I would of read more reviews because the 4 stars really threw me off:( and I wish there were more recent comments. There was only one recent review and it was a day before mine but I didn’t really pay attention to it and thought I’d take a try myself before judging. Really upset :(

If I could rate this place zero stars, I so would. I went here for the first time hoping to leave with beautiful nails (especially for the price and location). I had to correct my nail technician about 5 different times telling her that my acrylic nails were not even!! She had to keep fixing them with a file due to how crooked they were. She had filed them sooo much that they are paper thin knowing that they will easily chip. The dip color I picked turned out nothing like what I was shown. Still, after correcting her 10 times, my nails are all different lengths and crooked. And to top the story off, I was about to walk out the door completely forgetting to tip and I was CHASED outside the door asking for tip money and why I didn’t leave one. Very disappointed and will not be back.

I read all of these five-star reviews expecting to have a nice nail salon experience, but never in my life have I had a pedicure make my s****y day even worse. I put off writing this review for a couple weeks because I hate to be negative about anything, but it kind of blew me away how absolutely apathetic the staff was.I walked in and was directed to one of the chairs, where I sat for close to 20 minutes while people that came in after me (also without an appointment) were seated and helped. The water had almost gotten lukewarm at that point.The nail tech handed me the menu of services, all of which were at least $10 more than is listed on their website, as theyve switched to vegan products and couldnt be bothered to update their site.Finally she started the pedicure and it was /okay/. Okay leg massage, okay callus treatment that I got pressured into paying more for, okay leg scrub. Polish application was meh- she missed the entire side of one of my toes but cleaned up my big toe.Towards the end of the pedicure, a woman parked in the roundabout, got out of the car and walked into the nail salon. My nail tech jumped up, threw a fan thing on my feet (unsanitary) and just walked out with the woman, got into her car, and drove off. So I sat there for several minutes, abandoned by my nail tech, until another tech took the fan off my feet and gave me my shoes back.I fully intended to leave no tip- I waited 20 minutes while others were being helped, and then was abandoned before my pedicure was over, but the woman at the counter informed me that I had to verbally tell her a tip amount before she ran the card, thus socially pressuring me to leave a tip. Highly unprofessional.Oh, and my gel nail polish chipped not two days after the pedicure. I will not be going back.

Im displeased that the last time I went to this salon I was charged an extra $5 for basic Essie polish. When I entered, I was told to pick a polish, and the technician pointed to a table containing polishes. I picked one. There was no sign on the table stating there would be an extra charge for those particular polishes. When my pedicure was finished, she told me it was an extra $5 for the color. I feel like this was an unfair charge. In addition, standard Essie polish shouldnt be an upcharge on a $35 pedicure (plus $5 if you want callus removal).This salon is located in a fairly high-end area. I understand paying a premium price as long as it is disclosed up front.

Lucylee Spa is the best place to get manicure pedicure acrylic nails massage facials in the St. Louis area. I have been a customer of Lucys for over nine years and cant imagine going anywhere else. The salon is newly renovated beautiful calming and serene. The staff are like family. I have brought my now 11 year old grand daughter. There is the week that goes by that someone doesnt complement me on my nails. If you want a truly enjoyable experience I strongly suggest That you make an appointment today you wont regret it. I loved Lee at first.I noticed that they only place the acrylic over the top of your nails so they can break and you come right back.Not fair smile in your face knowing youll be right back .Acrylic goes down the whole nail.

I have visited Lucy Lee a number of times as I live close by. I tried to pay for my service with an American Express to which they said they dont accept American Express. I didnt have another card/cash on me. They dont have a sign in-store, on yelp, on their website, or on google maps stating that they do not accept this card. The owner, Lucy, was extremely condescending (not sure why) and very short with me giving me some major major attitude - claiming that the sign fell shortly before I arrived. She didnt offer any solutions (have a family member call with the card number, sorry for the inconvenience?) as I sat there for 30 minutes. I felt really uncomfortable sitting in the store while a family member brought another form of payment. For the future, dont treat paying customers poorly - or anyone for that matter. (Golden Rule amiright?) I certainly will not be returning and will notify my family and friends in the area that this business is not worthy of their time.Good news - theres a cute new salon across from Starbucks on Hanley, right down the street!

I visited this establishment with a group for a wedding party for manicures and pedicures before the big day. All I wanted wanted was a basic pedicure, nothing to spectacular. The woman tried to up sale me on a $65 package on multiple occasions when I had clearly said no more than once. Also, she was a little rough with my toes. I am prone to ingrown toenails, but go to the doctor to have them addressed. She tried to cut them out herself when I told her that it was hurting me. Finally, the manicure, the woman was very bossy and classless. I understand they were busy, but customer service should always come before anything else. Therefore, no need to snap at me and bat my hand away when I need to switch them.

The music, the place, the people they are my family and i adore them. I strongly recommend that everyone come here to experience amazing service!!!

I truly do not understand how this place still has its 5 star rating. I also assumed that based on location I would receive fantastic service and I was incredibly wrong. I logged in online and signed up for my appointment. Im fairly certain I received a confirmation text about my appointment, (so far so good...but nowhere does it mention that theres a free parking garage) which already made me feel like this was going to be my new place to go. Wrong. I go in and have my first service done of having my eyelashes dyed black. Now, I do already have dark hair and understand that it may potentially not show up very well but the girl promises me that it will be a dramatic change. I believe her because Ive seen this done and its had stunning results on everyone with all eyelash colors...she was done in maybe 5 minutes. Wiped the dye on and almost seemed to wipe it right back off. Total waste of money. Then they sit me down with Lucy, who Im guessing is the owner, Im thinking Im about to receive the best manicure ever by the owner of the salon. BEYOND wrong. She pulled out what looked to be a used file, and didnt even lay down a towel or anything under my hands during the manicure. So my hands were just cold, drippy, and dusty, hanging there in her hands. It was very uncomfortable. I had gel that needed to be removed and instead of letting it soak the appropriate amount of time so it would peel off easier she took the dremel and literally drilled into my nail bed to get the polish off!!! Every single one of my nails had these divots in them for weeks and weeks!!! It looked as if someone took a tiny scoop and dug out the tops of my nail bed. It took forever to grow back out, and in the process, since they were so incredibly thin, they would rip off and snag on everything. I was wearing band aids on the tips of my fingers for weeks. Then she did a terrible job painting my nails and maybe took a few minutes to do it. I remember even commenting on, This is an in and out kind of place huh? When I set my appointment online I had requested one of the specialty manicures and Lucy didnt even take the time to notice that thats what I had selected so she didnt even bother to do it. She didnt even ask me what kind of manicure or service I would like when she sat down. She was very cold and rude, almost like she couldnt be bothered with me at the time. I had to ask if I was done because she had just got up and walked away and with the service I requested online I wasnt sure if any of the oils etc came after. I basically got an Oops and no apology, a childs manicure, and nothing done to my eyelashes, and charged waaaaayyy more than what was quoted online, and that included the specialty manicure I was supposed to receive. I will never EVER go here again and will be certain to let my friends know if they are looking for a place in that area. I shouldve asked for my money back but at that point I was so shocked at the treatment (Or lack there of) I just wanted to leave while dragging my jaw along the ground on the way out. I was absolutely shocked.

Out of all the nail salons Ive been to this has to be the worst! Terrible service never again!!!! They over booked so many people and the salon was so packed ppl have no where to sit everyone was standing around in everyones way. And some ppl just left bc of poor service. But my main reason for not coming back is because I Went there with my bridesmaids to get nails done for my wedding. We all got over charged! I spend $115on gel mani and pedi And got charged $35 More then their pricings and spent more money then my maid of honor and she got acrylic and a pedi. The nails looked awful ! And all of our nail chipped off and broke the night of my wedding. So disappointed for all the hype I saw in the reviews.

I went yesterday for a fill n pedi SMELLED AMAZING got in chair quick to get pedi as much as they charge u the lady forgot to put my lavender soak in water n pedi was almost done before she noticed OK but then the other lady came to remove my gel polish while in seat n while my legs are getting lotion n rub all the gel from her taking it off was all over my legs 😒 ok so i move to nail station to get my nails done they get a phone call from a mad black women saying they were racist they used gloves on her but not white customers while she was on the phone talking to her she stared in my face 😭😂 n after the phone call ended she talked about the SENSETIVE TOPIC with the ladys customers (white) about topic 😒 IT WAS WEIRD AF but okay I WAS IN A GOOD MOOD n refuse to let it get to me IT WAS UNPROFESSIONAL TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER WITH it being a very sensitive topic BUT MY NAIL POLISH IS CHIPPED IT HASNT BEEN 24HOURS YET on three nails 20 for polish and this is result 😤 I KNOW BETTER NOW

Absolutely the BEST mani-pedi experience I have ever had. Yada and Lisa partnered to provide a mani pedi experience. They took care to shape my nails as I wanted them for my french manicure. The special pedi including a massage was so worth the money. They gave me a choice of more time massaging my legs or using the last five minutes on my neck. I chose the neck massage which was delivered in a massage chair to finish my experience. I also enjoyed the ambiance including uplifting music. Finally, I appreciate that it is a woman owned business. I will return!

This place was very clean. They clean out the basin of the pedicure chairs by hand and the guy who serviced me even removed the filter to show me that it was clean. When I arrived, there was no wait even though it was crowded (it was Mothers Day). Even when it did get crowded, the people who were waiting did not wait as long as they could have for the amount of staff on duty and no one rushed any of the customers they were servicing. They did seem to be a bit understaffed.
