Jane at Salon 833 is the ABSOLUTE BEST!! I came to her at first with black hair, and she was the only person I trusted to take me from dark to blonde and she KILLED IT! My hair is still healthy, and she did it in the best way to preserve the state of my hair! I get so many compliments, I recommend her to everyone!!

Got my first balayage (partial) and haircut at 833 yesterday with Lacy. She was awesome - so kind, professional and did such a nice job. I love my hair. Thanks again Lacy! Will definitely be back.

Jane is amazing!!! She really knows how to do beaded row extensions so they look natural. i also came to her when another salon completely messed up my color and she fixed me. thank you so much 😭😭😭😭

I recommend avoiding this salon at all costs. Incredibly unprofessional staff, unorganized, messy, numerous scheduling errors and overcharge... and the staff is just straight up rude. This salon = below average results AND bad customer service / accountability... go elsewhere sis!

Theyve done great work on my hair. Exactly what I was looking for, she did. She was so sweet and polite. Theres a warm and friendly feel to the entire salon. Id rate 10/10 for this salon.

I have never left a review before in my life BUT my friend came home from this salon almost in tears :(. The hair dresser kept yelling at her and telling her she didn’t know what “balayage” was. My friend was so taken back she didn’t know what to say after being yelled at several times in a row, and the hairdresser continued to say “is something wrong with you? Am I being punked?”. Please don’t go to this place :( hair is so expensive and you should spend it somewhere that is going to treat you with respect!!

I’m never disappointed when I leave! I feel sexy AF walking out the doors! They are always timely, clean and the quality of products are amazing! I personally don’t get hair extensions but watching others get them is amazing you can’t even tell! They look so natural!

This is the best customer service I have ever experienced. From the moment I step into the salon, they really made me feel welcome and comfortable. They treat me like no other. And also, the lady assigned to me is very good, she is a good listener, and an expert hairstylist. Highly recommended!

I love this haircut! So glad that I went here to fix my hair.The place is very clean and cute. I also really like the music they play. Definitely a chill place to get a haircut.Ashley is awesome! She really listens and pays attention and make sure to communicate her idea to me so that there’s no surprise! 100% would come back again.Also really like they are very transparent about the pricing. Before I came I was worried about how much tip I should pay, but then I saw the price shown was actually the final price, which makes me so much more comfortable about coming back again!

Came to Salon 833 to dye my naturally black hair for the first time in years and loved the experience! Booked with Jocelyn and I loved how she maintained the integrity of my hair while managing to get me the shade of blonde I asked for. Such a friendly personality who listens to what you want. As for the rest of the salon, it was really clean and reception was super friendly and welcoming. Such a cute, trendy spot that I’d recommend to anyone!

This is truly thanks to Brittany and the time and commitment she shows me as a customer.The stylists at Salon 833 really listen to what you want but also take the time to explain why something might not be the best for your hair health.Ive gone from washing my hair every day with generic shampoo to caring for my hair (washing sparingly, using products that work for my hair type and color).Salon 833 is my hair home and I couldnt recommend their staff and services more!

So Im a man. Not sure if they do mens hair buuuuut my guy lives above them and we always have some wild times there. Days when I get there and the salon is still open, all the people working there look super focused and awesome at what they do. Thats from the outside looking in but I mean, theyre killing it.

I have been having Lisa cut my hair for just about a year now and she is amazing. Salon 833 is my favorite salon. Definitely can be considered one of the best in Chicago. The stylists are very friendly and welcoming. I had been getting my hair cut by the same girl in San Diego for about 4 years and after Lisa started cutting it, she changed the way it was cut to better fit the shape of my head, who know. I am new to Chicago and am THRILLED that I found this place. I had the same hair dresser for years and was so afraid to try someone new for my usual balayage highlights - but Giselle did a great job and i was SO happy with my cut and color. So relieved to have a salon I know will give me great results each visit.

I cant speak for all the stylists, but Caitlin Price is excellent. Ive been going to her for over 10 years and Salon 833 is definitely the best place she has worked. The receptionist is always friendly and quick to get you a drink and the place looks and feels nice. Only complaint is parking can be tricky.

Love this place! Ive had some terrible haircuts in Chicago and Ashley was able to not only allay my fears about having another cut but fixed my hair too. Would highly recommend.

Salon 833 is truly my “home away from home”, mainly due to the fact that I’m there every other week, but also the fact that it just feels like home because everyone is warm and welcoming and I can honestly say it’s just my happy place! The latest and greatest products are always at Salon 833 and the location is fantastic. I always look forward to my appointment and would highly recommend Salon 833.

I recently moved to the West Loop and wanted to find a local salon. Ive been going to the same stylist for the last three years and had anxiety about letting someone new style my hair. I was referred to Lisa by my colorist and I honestly think my hair looks the best its looked in awhile. Lisa listened to my needs and without changing the style, she gave my long locks life again. Im very happy and will be back! Parking is also a breeze....

Dana gave me a cut and color that went above and beyond my expectations! My hair looks like it did in my 20s- healthy, natural full, shiny-all the factors I thought were gone forever! Boy, was I wrong. Dana is a delightful person, professional and fast! I was in and out in no time. (Also, I had no dark stains from the color). The Salon is buzzing with great energy and lots of smiles, no attitude, just 5 star results!Thank you Dana, my husband even said my hair has never looked better!

Not happy with my last color. Didnt get what a wanted. Had to go back for more toner. The color still washed out in a month. She was def cutting hair in between my appt. Worst of all I paid close to $300 for something that probably looks like the worst balayge Ive ever gotten. Not going back for sure.

Im probably one of the worst customers because I get my hair cut once, maybe twice, a year. :/ I know, Im bad. When I do make that yearly or bi-yearly trip, I always trust Corrinne at Salon 833. Ive gotten a couple of perms with her as well. (I know, sounds so super 80s, but she does a great job at giving me natural-looking waves.)The staff and everyone you come into contact with is always really nice and helpful. Love this salon! Highly recommended.
