Straight up predatory towing. Do not recommend giving your business (if you even have the choice). Filed complaint with the state, but sadly not much else you can do to stop them.
Zero stars of course. Watch for the post covid scam. Paid 40 dollars to park at 808 w. Addison at 9 pm on Saturday only to find the car towed at 930 the next morning. 268 dollars to get it out. Total scam. Dont support any of their legitimate business.
I was obviously not happy about getting my car towed (as no one is), but the woman handling all the paperwork at Rendered Services (whose name I didnt catch unfortunately) was very helpful, fast, efficient and kind. I was in and out in under 10 minutes and she made the experience almost pleasant. I wouldnt want to be towed again, but if it happened I hope they would make it as quick and somewhat painless as she did.
They towed my car out of a spothero spot that I paid for. This was a weird spot in an alley in Lincoln Park with no signs for it being for Spothero, so if you see a spot like that dont buy it.Anyways, they towed my AWD car improperly by leaving the rear two wheels on the ground, so now Im dealing with all the fallout from that. Absolutely horrible experience
UNLAWFULLY TOWED MY CAR. Had to pay $216 to get it out, unfortunately I didn’t have any proof that I went into the store bc I clicked the “no receipt” option at the register in dollar tree, but this is so unfair ! Seriously? During a PANDEMIC? You’re literally taking food from people’s mouths by doing this. This place should get shut down for good.
Towing teachers cars from the parking lot next to the school.Sign says Sunday mass permit parking. Its Tuesday! Dont worry Im never setting foot in that school again to teach.
Predatory towing- less than 3 minutes in a spot where I was with my child. Horrible customer service. They should be ashamed of how they extort Chicagoans.
The owner of this lot is awesome.
They towed me out of my own companys lot! When I tried to explain to them that it was mistake on their part, I was told Not My Problem and that if I wanted my car back that I would have to pay for it!
This is the most annoying place ever, imagine I went to 4552 N Broadway, and they have a parking lot at the back of the shops. This is a BUSINESS area with a parking lots. My car was been parked at their parking lots . I only spend 4 minuets cos I was in a hurry to go pick up my kids at the suburbs by the time I got out my car has been towed. I called this senseless, foolish, stupid people they told me to come with $218 to come and get my car. Just like that?????$218 ?????? It’s sucks, the city has to do something. When I finally got to 2019 west rancher I met the cashier she is very suck, unprofessional, she does not have a good customer service, she was talking and abusing me as if I stole from them . She wasted my time, I was waiting in front of her for 45minutes. I have all the proofs . The Illinois commerce commission needs to do something to this. Am logging a serious complain now. All their staffs are very bad people, they need to close down this place before it gets worst. 👎👎👎👎. They will surely suffer for what pain they cause to me this afternoon, they spoil my evening, they mess up my evening. GOD will punish all of u guys in this services, u cause a open wound in my body. U guys will surely regret what u all did. This is just senseless act. Is it how the money is so easy to earn, u will surely regret it . $218.50???????? It’s so bad, can their family or they them self pay this money. Thieves !!! Thieves !!! Thieves!!! The towing company is doing bad to resident of Chicago. It’s sooooooooooooooo poorrrrrrrrrrrrrr at 2019 W RASCHER AVENUE
Took a very long time for service. Literally a hole in the wall joint.
My husband works for dollar tree and left his truck overnight at dollar tree and went home, went back the next day to his semi truck being towed!!!!!! We works for dollars tree where else was he supposed to park!!!!!! Had to pay more then $2,00!!!!! Definitely going to look into suing!!!!
Very good if you want to pay a ticket
Just adding on to the copious amounts of reviews detailing the illegal practice this company does. I bought a spot (from an uncovered lot) through spothero across the street from the apartment I live at. Ive used the app before and have parked at this lot before but this was the first time I left my car there overnight. I woke up in the morning and checked on the car, sure enough it was gone. When I went to Rendered Services to show proof of purchase and email confirmation from Spothero, the cashier lady said theres no misunderstanding, you didnt have a permit on your car. I told her Maam, I bought a spot via spothero and they dont issue you a permit, its all done via their app/website. She said I have to go through them and wanted me to pay the $220 fee to get my car back. I told her I wasnt going to threaten her to get my car back but I will be calling the police since this company literally stole my property and is extorting me to get it back. Police couldnt do anything and now Im out $220 to a shady company. Cant believe this practice is tolerated. Anyone that deals with this company, theres no way your getting your money back unfortunately. Hope this company gets investigated.
I never actually rate places but this was THE WORST. Basically, just like everyone else, they illegally towed my car, I has to pay $218 to get it out, I tried calling the police which could not help at all. I encountered the rude, aggressive cashier who was no help. This place needs to be shut down.
Illegally towed car and did not provide any evidence (photographic etc) as required by the law. SHUT THEM DOWN. Completely unprofessional and predatory.
This dishonest company towed my vehicle from my OWN residences parking lot while I was out of the country. I was not parked illegally because my apartment manager sent an email stating Starting May 1st 2018 all cars parked at the property are required to display Parking Permit at all the times – cars with improperly hanged or missing Parking Permits will be towed on owner’s expense. When I retrieved my vehicle, the front bumper was cracked and the left fender line was broken. I completed Rendered Services Inc. Damage/Loss Claim Form and included 3 damage estimates which averaged $997.21. The owner George and the Damage/Loss Claim manager Bill did not answer any of my calls or return any of my messages to tell me the status of my damage claim.
Not only did they tow my car illegally during a patrol (I had, and have confirmed with SpotHero, a valid reservation for the time in question), they then refused to provide a copy of the receipt for the money I paid to them to get my car out. There evidence email with photos of my car clearly shows it in the correct spot and they did not include screenshots to the app we use to confirm tows are valid like they said they would. Clearly their tow team was just preying on any cars they thought theyd get away with.Oh, and when I called in to ask for my receipt? Literally got screamed at on the phone for asking.
Towed our car in a spot hero spot in which we paid for. Forced us to pay over $200 to get the car back, all the while we’re standing in the freezing cold. Realize that once I got home that they had stolen some of my valuables in the car, god I wish I would’ve realized that when we were still there. Called them and they told me the manager would call me back. Will be filing a report with police and Chicago Better Business Bureau.
Towed out of a parking spot in 15 minutes. The spot was unmarked-- the only sign was facing the opposite direction from the entrance to the lot that I used, and all the way on the other side. They mustve been waiting around the corner because it took me over an hour and a half to get to the place my car was stowed at by train, bus, and on foot. They only take one form of card payment so I had to use their conveniently located ATM with a $5 service fee to afford the release of my car. It was a cold and miserable experience.
Towed my car outside of the store that works with this company. Was only inside for 15 mins and parked legally. Also gave me the wrong address of tow place. Scum company!!!
These people are thieves. They literally tried to come in the middle of night and tow vehicles off a private lot and put their sign up as well. Till they were surprised by the actual owner and the police then their story changed. Watch out for these thieves we also have footage of them casing property during the daytime.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I was parked legally in my apartment parking spot and was towed. I had to pay $218 to get my car. I also had Uber bills to get to my car. Im so angry that a business can get away with this type of unethical behavior. RIDICULOUS!
They towed my car, how do you think was my experience 🤔
My car was illegally towed. I was on the premises with the key ready to move the car before the tow truck even started moving and they wouldn’t acknowledge me. The 4th line of the towing bill of rights states that the vehicle can not be towed if the driver is present on the scene before the car is off the lot. I will be pursuing a complaint with the Illinois commerce commission. Also, the lady at the window would not let us read the bill of rights before we signed the paper saying we read it, otherwise we would have never paid without complaining first. A huge scam.
Imagine running a business that solely feeds off of peoples misery. Absolute pathetic excuse of a business.
This company towed my car from a residential parking spot (my aunts house) stating that it did not have a permit and that my aunt is supposed to call her leasing office to state they have a visitor. However, everything is shut down due to COV19 and the office was not open. Not only did the cashier Domonique tell me the company had nothing set in place for COV19, but also told me that there was nothing she could do and rolled her eyes. I then asked to speak to a supervisor which she stated twas not one available. ¹I am disgusted with the lack of empathy and dignity that this establishment and its employees have shown. This place needs to be shut down and reported to the ICC. I have lupus and didnt need to be outside during this time. At this point its not okay for them to take advantage of people like this especially during a citywide shutdown when no one is working.
Simply put read the signs or have a valid permit .. request video proof of the complete vehicle tow if its a discrepancy
Coming from small town central Illinois traveling to Milwaukee our truck broke down. Thankfully we were able to get to a parking lot and call for a tow truck. However being 1 in the morning we had no idea what we were going to do and how we were going to get back on our way. Super thanks to Rendered for picking us up quickly and towing us to a 24 hour shop. Jimmy was great, funny, and with everything going on helped calm us down. We really appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you!
Horrible customer service, rude, careless, unprofessional. Owning a business you should speak to people with respect and try to help anyway possible. I located my car on the Chicago police website stating it was stolen or abandoned. The report had no tow date or location. I had to call and call places to search. My car was Towed 77 days ago, from a parking garage it was being stored in and paid for. Never got a notice of any kind that my car has been towed sitting here. Someone told me yesterday it was there, now today someone told me its going up for auction. The owner stated he sent out a certified letter 2 months ago, I havent lived at that address for 2 years, and all my mail was forwarded. You need a signature for a certified letter, i never received one so, they just Put it placed to be up for auction. He was staying this was my issue. I have the title of my vehicle. I am the registered owner. Did not try to help in any way and was disrespectful. Will definitely be going to court for this and hiring a lawyer. 0 review !!!
Predatory towing
The only crooks out there are the folks that park ILLEGALLY and dont want to pay for parking. Suck it up - its your fault if you were towed. I was towed and it was completely MY FAULT for not reading the signs. Excellent service - paid the fine - got my car quickly.
This place are THIEVES they towed my car from a public parking lot, I had just went around the building to find out the store was closed, it took me 5 minutes when I came back my car was gone, I have beautiful 97 Lincoln it is just like brand new, I thought somebody had stole it, yeah it was this people.
Scammers! Not that they care what you write on there reviews. I hope someone has sued them or has gone to a local news channel and will shine the light on these scammer greedy people .
Did anybody sue this company already?same like everybody i had horrible experience. Towed my Expensive car from a parking lot with parking sticker on my windshield, which allow to park there, rude lady refusing to have any dialog and no manager on site, refuse to provide any paper and give your car back while u not sign some paper and finally they opening your cars, scratching it and does NOT care!
Sure they towed my car...because I parked illegally. The woman in the office was incredibly helpful and kind. The price was reasonable to get my car out.
These people here are scammers looking for quick buck! They literally have someone on the lookout for people simply getting down to pick up food and when you get back you will be towed in no less then a couple of minutes! Bunch of RATS!!
We parked in an empty parking lot for a bank overnight kind of fingers crossed we wouldnt get towed. Whoops! But we made it to the towing company and the lady behind the counter was pleasant and it was a seamless process to get our car back. Excellent experience for something that couldve been awful!
After a long day at work I walked to my car to find out that my war was illegally towed. As soon as I turned the corner I saw that my parking spot was occupied by another vehicle. I immediately called and asked if my car had been towed. Sure enough it was. I took pictures of the parking spot where my car was parked. I took different angle pictures to prove that I was not blocking any entrances gates that according to them was the reason I was towed. The cashier was a piece of work. I asked to see the pictures that he driver took for evidence I was showed and angled picture to manipulate the way the vehicle looked. In that picture my vehicle seemed that it was completely parked in from of the gate. I showed her my pictures and it clearly shows that was not the case. I took that angled picture as well, I figured if anything this would be the angle they would take. Bunch of thieves. I will be filing a compliant as whatever else I can but this matter is far from over.
Car Poachers.
Towed my car in a matter of 2 minutes while I was checking if a business was still open because of Covid. Lady at the cashier window was extremely rude. Horrible business and horrible people that work there.
My STOLEN car sat here for MONTHS. They did not notify ME, the registered owner of the vehicle. This car is marked as a stolen car online. Took me 2 minutes to locate my police report on Chicago police website with my license plate, thats how I found how it had been towed by Rendered Services. I called them and found out my car sat there for MONTHS.Then, they contacted a junk yard who then proceeded to crush MY car. All WITHOUT my knowledge or consent. Chicago police department updated their website, nobody notified me. Just so dishonest! All the way around.
SHIFTY BUSINESS RUNNING A SCHEME. I was wrongfully towed! I truly wish I could rate this place ZERO stars. When I first came in contact with this company to ask about my car, the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude, short, and overall unhelpful. She hung up on me TWICE before she transferred me to someone else to help answer where I could find my vehicle. This company also wrote on my official receipt that is needed to file a complaint, that I admitted to walking off property when i never spoke to a driver or worker. I have receipts that prove I was in the Lot shopping at stores that are permitted and will definitely be contesting. BE WEARY, THERES A REASON WHY THIS COMPANY HAS SOME MANY 1 STAR REVIEWS.
I parked the car at devon street in the shopping plaza to get some food pickup on the opposite street. Within 5 minutes when i came back my car was gone. I knew i parked illegally, but the timing proves that they are doing an unprofessional business. That means they were watching me from a hidden spot and towed my car quickly before i come.
Im pretty sure what these guys do is illegal. City of Chicago charges only $150 for a tow and $20 per day to store your car at an impound. These guys charge a lot higher than that and damaged my girlfriends car. Her tires were underinflated when we got it back and the insulation hose on the inside window was completely off and mangled in the front seat.Long story short is, if you like me take proof of what theyre charging and damage thats been done to your car and enough of us complain to the city, we can get them shut down.Who wants to be petty with me?
I was just grabbing coffee when I got my car towed; while there is more than 10 empty spots in that parking lot. Do you people ambush in a corner and wait? $218 for just picking up coffee, did not take no ones spot, and my window was open and it rained when they took my car.
Yesterday My daughter-in-law, 6 weeks old granddaughter and myself went shopping, never thought we would experience being left without a car. I want people to be aware of signs, even though it says public parking it not. I learned my lesson the hard way. I didnt think of when I saw a tow truck sitting on the street next to the parking lot . When came back to the car half hour latter, we found out that Victoria Secret had closed down, so instead we went forever 21. When we got back to the parking lot the car was gone I looked up high above on a pole it says parking for four of the store next the parking lot. It gave where the towing company is and cost. So now I have 6 week old baby in the heat without a bottle and crying. Both our battery on phone very low. We managed to get hold of her to call uber for her and the baby but her didnt want to pay for me to get my car because she set in her ways. Now confused where I was walking around with no power to my phone and no taxi in around. Thank god it wasnt as hot as it is today. I know it my fault but to see a infant in the heat taking out car knowing you are going to tow the car are guys that heartless. Could have said something because you had to see me asking is this parking lot alright to park and where do I pay and someone said it was free.
Crooks
Vulture business. Very shady and extremely rude. Shuffled around my belongings inside the car as well, will be contacting the police further. They messed with the wrong person, and will end up paying more for the breaking and entering of my glove box.xx
I left my car parked LEGALLY to go to work. When I cam back from work, my car was gone. I called RSI to see if they had it but there was no answer. I contacted the police next. Both the operator and the officer that report the stolen car report checked to see if it had been towed prior to creating the report. A few days later I found the other number to Rendered Services and asked if my vehicle was in their procession. The woman checked by license # and VIN but it wasnt in their system. Now that its 3 WEEKS later, I get a certified letter in the mail saying that they have had my car since the day it was reported stolen. Before this letter, they have been denying that they had it. Now they have it after it has racked up over $1000 in fees when the initial fee wouldve been $218.50 (according to signs posted at RSI location). I know where I parked my car and it was in a legal spot when I left to go to work. Now Im left car-less and theyre holding my vehicle despite having a police report. The women that I spoke with on 11/27 was rude specially Maria who was verbally abusive and unprofessional.
Bunch of scammers. Worst kind of people you can come across. Down right terrible.
Excellent business.. I wish I could do this business.. no matter customer inside or outside the shops .. they simply towed .. no body wants to be Snowden raising complain to city administrators of Chicago.
Google need to let people put zero stars. Worst place ever. Simply terrible.!! The price is ridiculous, $200 to get a car out. The staff is even worse, with nasty attitude. They looking for innocent people to take their car so they can charge them 200 dollars for having the car in their place less then 30 minutes.
Theyre disgusting predators. They took over a well known parking lot in my neighborhood & quietly changed the signs which changed spots to handicapped. Then they sat back & relished in how many people parked in those spots, like they normally do. They had to have taken at least 10 cars that day. I seriously hope they suffer the same fate as Lincoln towing.
The horrible woman who answered the phone, 1208 is what she told me her name was, was rude. We’re from out of town, they towed the car before the ticket expired, they said they didn’t see it until AFTER paid $220 plus having to get an uber. When calling to ask the address i was rudely told it’s on the sign and when i said it wasnt she told me I was looking at the wrong sign with their phone number listed. Both attendants need attitude checks. Unhelpful. Making an UNWARRANTED stressful incident even more stressful. I can’t believe how rude both women were.
The older lady was so rude when we tried to explain they were wrong but got nowhere. Instead she called my mom a b**** and then explained that it was bulletproof glass in order to protect us...implying she wanted to shoot us. This lady needs to be fired from her job.
I was going to call this company to complain about how one of their drivers is driving, but I can see clearly that this company does not care one bit about that, so Ill set my complaint right here:The driver came in through an Exit near Aldi and Target in Uptown on N Broadway and Sunnyside on August 8, 2018 some time between 3:10 and 3:25 PM. He stopped as I was walking past, but then the huge tow truck started moving slowly toward me and when I looked, I saw that the driver was not even LOOKING at me even though his truck was drifting right at me. He was searching the lot for a car to tow. He wasnt paying attention to me at all when he then drove quickly around me, which I also didnt appreciate. Its not that he was interested in harassing me, he was simply reckless and fortunate that something small didnt occur as I was not hurt.Although I was walking, Im a driver, too, and I drove a moving truck from California to Chicago years ago-- I know the rules of the road and how to drive safely, but this tow truck driver does not. He shouldnt be employed as a driver.
We called to have a car towed. It takes so long for them to come and the car parking in a private spot left!!!!! Thats how fast their service is!
Horrible service. Went to store to buy some stuff, coming back 15 min later & my car was already towed. I brought a receipt from store with exact time of purchase lady behind a window wasnt even looking at the time. I paid for towing, got a copy of the towing report with time & tried to show her time again. Complete ignore. No customer service at all. By the way sign on a parking says 2 hour parking for customers only !!!! Got pictures, reports, receipts...Will file a complain !
They were great towing a vehicle.
Cashier was literally more focused on watching boondocks than attending customers
Their phone, voicemail, credit card machine, and even atm wasnt working. Had to go and get cash elsewhere to get the car back.
Literally gone in a Walgreens parking lot for 3 minutes, whose services I was using, and they towed me anyway. Thieves are what I would use to describe these people. I bet they sleep really well at night knowing they take advantage of people.
If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I used park whiz to pay for a spot LEGALLY in the west loop and my car still got towed on one of the coldest days in Chicago. They overcharge for tows and the people are so rude. My $8.00 parking spot ended up being $250.00 due to my Lyft and the tow to get my car. I am writing a complaint to the better business bureau as well as the Illinois Commerce Commission. Clearly, all the reviews on here prove this place is a business of scammers. Why it has not been shut down is beyond me. Also, be careful with police officers hiding and waiting till you leave to call the tow look at your tow report, its like theyre working together and do not even bother to check the plates if the parking was paid.
Parked in the same parking lot all the time to shop. Left to return a gift-- literally in the store for 10 minutes. Came out and my car was gone. It was was not an illegal parking job. These people are crooks! The women at the towing site were absolutely awful to me and said they did not accept credit cards. I had to walk 15 min to find an ATM. I came back and a woman who had her car towed too was paying with a credit card! They are terrible people.
They towed my car illegally too, from my parking spot where I parked my car for 2 years.
This company should be banned from doing work in the GOOD City of Chicago. The Management and staff mistreat the people of Chicago and abuse their vehicles. This company makes the City of Chicago look very bad. In this day and age people do not deserve to be bullied and mistreated. There are many good towing companies in Chicago that would do a much better job and not embarrass the City this way.
I mean how many stars do you give a company that steals your car and forces you to pay $263 to get it back?
I work for a carpeting company, and was directed by management to park at a certain area. I go do my job, and only 5 minutes later after checking on my truck, my vehicle has been towed. My worker stayed outside for 2 hours whilst I walked 4 miles to retrieve the vehicle and He let me know that no tow trucks roamed the area whilst he waited. Corruption at its finest, seems like I was set up and management called for the tow. I was unconscionable charged 520 as I know for a fact my vehicle doesnt weigh that much. My co-worker also mentioned that he seen some management workers laughing.
This business (I hesitate to use that word) lacks any sort of ethics or integrity. After my car was towed, I called the number on the sign to inquire about my car. The lady(again I hesitate to use that word) tried to provoke me. She was rude, lied, and then hung up on me 3 times! I was just trying to ask questions. Upon arrival at their business her lack of customer service continued. Terrible. Horrible. I realize that complaining online, to her, or to her boss is not going to produce any positive results. They will continue to be a miserable business with miserable employees.I did, however, call the store where I had been shopping when my car was towed. I asked them to consider contracting with another towing company. They said they have received multiple complaints from their patrons, and he would bring up my concerns at the next staff meeting. I am sure nothing will come of that as well, but I feel slightly better. If nothing else, I am writing this so those of you who are unfortunate enough to come in contact with these miserable people will know that you are not alone.
SCAM ALERTTT!!! DONT PARK WITH YPAY LOTS! They towed my car alll the way up north AFTER I PAID & refused to give me a refund.
This company deserves NOTHING but to expose the truth. A star must be clicked to enable posting. I’ve always heard about Chicago towing companies being lowlife, notorious scumbags for scamming people and today we experienced it first hand. Today was moving day for my daughter. After securing permission days ago from a District Manager of a neighborhood Walgreens and two store day managers we were allowed to park the UHaul Pods behind the Walgreens on Clark & Deming while we packed their belongings and waited for UHaul to pick up the pods for storage. The first pod was loaded and locked ready for afternoon pick up. As I waited for another load of furnishing to be brought to the pod Rendered Services Towing pulled up next to our pod, and proceeded to chain up the trailer to their truck with no authorization or identification. I thought it was odd that it wasn’t an actual UHaul truck but then thought maybe UHaul jobs out pick ups to different companies. Not being from Chicago I was completely unaware of the process. When I quickly texted my daughter to say that “the truck” was here. She responded that she just spoke with UHaul and they were almost there but would be very soon. WAIT A MINUTE! By this time, I realized what was going on and I attempted to explain to the driver that this was a mistake and that we had Walgreens permission to use their space. The driver became loud, belligerent and offensive toward me. I pleaded with a car pulling in front of the tow truck to please not leave in hopes to block the driver from leaving. Again, the driver became very angry and offensive at me. At this point, I was tempted to stand in front of the truck but honestly...the driver was terrifying and I was afraid. I called 911 as the truck sped down the alley and rounded the corner WAY too fast. The story goes on & on and wasted an entire afternoon. Walgreens was VERY concerned and supportive. The managers were told by upper management to go to the towing impoundment facility and fix the problem. I insisted that they wait for the police to arrive just in case. After HOURS of repeatedly explaining the nightmare over phone calls and getting the police to step in...the impounded pods were released to UHaul. They tried to charge us for the release but changed their mind quickly when police arrived. Thanks to Walgreens management, UHaul and Chicago PD our property was returned hopefully with no damage done due to reckless driving. No question...The Chicago Better Business Bureau and Rendered Services upper management will be receiving a full report and the “gangbanger” driver will be reported to the authorities.
If I didnt have to leave a star to leave a comment, I wouldnt. This tow truck company has provided the most unprofessional service that I have ever experienced. I contacted the company twice and my landlord contacted them way before I did about a vehicle that was parked in the back of my apartment complex that did not belong. When I called dispatcher 1164 was very rude, disengaged, and very unprofessional. I feel like this place is a joke and normally when tow trucks are called they respond right away. The first call was made around 6:15pm and Im still waiting. Its the holiday season and Im a single woman, and its way too dangerous to be seen coming in and out of my residence. Smh...
If I could give zero stars I would. These people targeted me, they knew I was from out of town because of my plates. I was removing luggage from car into hotel while the tow truck driver was sitting in the lot. He could have easily informed me I was illegally parked but chose not to. The parking lot they manage has no signs saying Pay Here, I was looking around for an attendant and when I went inside to ask the hotel clerk he took my car. When I called them the lady on the phone was VERY rude and when I showed up to get my car it was like going into a prison. Just another reason why I hate Chit-town, what a dump, I will not go back unless I absolutely have to.
My Car was parked and ticketed at a total different location than my towing invoice. They towed my car when it was actually 3 blocks away from where they say it was...These People are thieves and I’m making a formal complaint with The Illinois Commerce and the towing complaint department!!! I was cheated out of $218.50 that I just can’t afford to pay for a lie...If I’m wrong I’m wrong but why lie about it.. But that’s how they are they prey on the poor cause they know we need our cars!!!
There should be a way to write a review, with NO or Negative Stars! My brother helping my daughter move 1 love seat, 2 chairs and a bed, parked in HER paid for SPOT at 5017 N Wolcott. This Shyster Tow Company, towed his truck and then charged him $518!!!!!!! This is why I keep telling her NOT to live in CROOKED CHICAGO! I so far 49 bad reviews. I see mention of the place being raided by CPD, and STILL THEY ARE IN BUSINESS????? How in the world can this company be in business? Somebody has to be being paid off!
If I can give them a 0 I would because the lady with the nasty attitude as cashier or whatever TOOK MY MOTHERS CARD INFORMATION AND USED IT AS HERS. So beware of this place. AND HER ID NUMBER IS 1164. If they did this to my mother, check your bank accounts and report them.
Don’t understand how I have a parking sticker for my apartment that fell off. I’ve had the same adhesive in the heat for the last two years and it’s my fault that it fell off? Pathetic company. Also they stole my quarters from my car.
They shouted at some poor students who pleaded that they cannot pay 200$. Actually robbers are better than these people. These people always look for cars to tow and charge 200$/300$ to people. They have informers and they towed our car in 10 mins. They also have a ATM machine to take this looting to next level. They do not care even if you are very poor, they only need money... they just feed on hard earned money of other people. What goes around come around. They will definitely suffer for what they have done to helpless people.
Car towed while NEXT to an empty lot that they patrol. Illegally picked the car off the street and took it, holding it hostage until I paid $218.50.But they are still in business after the Chicago police showed up and towed most of their tow trucks away in a raid over a year ago. They still have their license to operate. The ICC Police wont crack down (send your complaint to them, woohoo) They wouldnt investigate/go and review the local business surveillance video the next day! Only 34 refunds of 963 complaints were won for consumers, thats only 3%.The Governing body, ICC commissioners wont reply, dont open the meeting for public comments w/o scheduling them and giving them a summary ahead of time. It is a criminal predatory outfit protected by the politicians and law enforcement, and they know they can get away with it, even abusively for decades now.I blame the politicians who sweep the offences under the rug (no ICC hearings off any towing complaints on the docket), No public accountability or sanctions anywhere on the ICC website. My case is supposed to be looked into in 14 weeks. No open meeting notes or history to see. No sunshine here for the last 30 years of business. The complaints that people spend the time to write up are handled via an administrative hearing in a back room for a small fine so none of it is exposed to the public so the company can get back on the road right away. 600 hours of Chicago Police time last year to mediate complaints at the prison yard. Thats 2 hours a day. Any other business operating like this would lose their license. Thanks to Alderman Pawar for dragging Lincoln Towing into a city counsel meeting to answer for their crimes. No thanks to all the politicians preceding him that enabled the abusers.I suggested the ICC police run a sting on these guys and take them down, so simple to run, set up a couple cars every day and trap the abuse, but they wont. No arrests for car theft or possession of stolen property, ever.Seriously, the powerful and connected have decided to continue the abuse and crush the weak they are sworn to protect. (Rendered made $4 Million in 2012). A sad sad city. So Corrupt. If you need a laugh go to the ICC Police web page. Seriously is states; ... We want to assure the citizens of Illinois that they are protected from unscrupulous towing companies....With ISIS at least they are honest that they are trying to kill you.
When you try and get someone on the phone you dont get a live person and you cant leave a message cause there voice mail is full
They are a underhanded company. They towed my car when it was parked legally and tried to may me pay for tow.We had to call the police, at that point they lied and tried to say that they didnt see my paid parking in app.I will be filing a complaint with BBB
Small claims court we go. Guy pulls up to a uhaul with blinking lights and fiancé outside waiting and still jacks it up only to threaten her and then myself while we were simply asking him the address then the somewhat homeless appearing employee, John, comes and tries telling me we should take our shirts of and settle it in the alley. And people wonder why society is messed up, this manager employs people who are one step away from assault and battery.BBB complaint, police report just done and small claims court to get my $572 back and damages done to personal belongings that fell over the back when he left without shutting the door.Pathetic. All I can say.
Lol they just towed a car that was messed up in the process. While they may not tell you, DONT ASK FOR HELP FROM THEM, THEY DONT GIVE ANY DAMNS ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CAR. LITERALLY THE WORST IN CHICAGO. They used to tow cars that werent even supposed to be towed. I have pictures of the inciddent from the witness and if you look up this company has a bad past like i said.
This place is so unprofessional and its absolutely disgusting! The customer service here should be a crime, its pitiful. The receptionist (an older women) refused service, hung up multiple times and whenever I called back she would pick up and hang up the phone and spoke as if she were a degenerate!! And to mention, my car was UNJUSTIFIABLY TOWED and this receptionist (Maureen) refused to provide service. Luckily, the property that my car was towed at reimbursed me my money for this tow companys wrong doing!
Unprofessional towing company.I have paid for parking and parked my car legally.
Overcharging, they called in early morning to get pick up before 8:45am, I’ve been here at 8:45 am and they said you late 1 min we will charge 140$ for truck and 140$ for trailer said, total for empty trailer 1680$ ! I was so gently and didn’t argue, you guys so rude and unpolite
They target certain cars. I have a sticker for my lot and there are cars parked in the fire lane on a daily basis all night and day! I decide to unload there and then my car gets towed while I put my stuff away! When I called...all they could say it was parked in a fire lane! At the same time..the regular person who parks there had pulled up and parked and had their car there for the rest of the night as usual! Horrible company! Scam artists!
Terrible! They stole my car from the Homegoods parking lot. They said they had video surveillance and I was told lie after lie. They kept hanging up on me and giving me a different story. I filed a claim and they watched the tape and then finally admitted they wrongfully towed my car. No compensation for my time, the cab ride over, the babysitter fee who was watching my child for what was supposed to be a quick run to the store but turned into a 3 hour nightmare. This company is full of low life thieves. No store or mall should be using them. When you are going to tow someones car, you better be sure you are right about whos car you are supposed to tow.
These people towed my car while i was doing my laundry, they claimed that i left and ate a restaurant and that was there reason to tow me. i never left the premises of the laundry mat, and they even had the balls to say they had me on video leaving. The annoying driver got all scared when i asked him to show me proof. beware of these thieves, even the other tow truck drivers around my neighborhood hate them for stealing money!!!my advice is to get the management of the parking lot to call there manager and demand to have your car released. the fluffy laundry mat on devon did for me, so please dont pay that fine!!!!!
Towed it from a spot I pay for, New car, no sticker, so understandable. But I was outside as he was towing it and tried to reason with him but to no avail he sped away driving a bit recklessly after threatening to fight me when I got to the lot (I may have called him a d***head but nothing he shouldnt be used to). Sure enough he wasnt there but he did do damage to the undercarriage. Probably not worth my time to pursue it but I want to make sure all the sensors are okay first. Real scum of the earth.
Not even gona complain about why i got towed because i will admit in part it was my faul. But man do these people make an already frustrating situation worse. The lazy slob they call a cashier will try anything to make your experience hell. She sits behind a bullet proof glass so you can barely hear her but wont speak up becouse she is to dam lazy.
A 0 star rating would be more appropriate.
The most corrupt abusive predatory organization on the planet. I was at suds doing laundry wicker park commons with an adjoining Jewel and the new Lowes. Had laundry drying literally walked around the corner to grab a sandwich and rendered services had towed the car. We were charged $220 to retrieve the car. They are thieves and should be in prison. In any regard Deutsche Bank owns the property and leases to companys such as Subway, Jewel, Lowes and Potbelly. These are the companys doing business with an unethical corrupt company and they should know who they allow themselves to do business with. I know it cost Jewel a $300 that day for lost shoppers.
Worse place, horrible customer service, they do not provide information, you arrive to the location to know they only accept cash they have an ATM doesn’t work!
I realize that people writing reviews for a tow truck company that probably just got their car towed are going to give a poor review....but thats not why i am writing this review. If you are a COMPANY looking to hire these guys....please look somewhere else as they will bring nothing but headaches to your business and the tenants you have. I parked in the back of my residential building for 2 minutes like usual when bringing up groceries. No issues ever until today. As I was coming down the stairs I see the tow truck lifting my car up which by the way is an exotic car. It cannot be towed without a flatbed truck or damage will occur. Sure enough I was trying to chase down the tow truck to explain, but he continued dragging my front end of the car on the pavement (car is rear engine RWD). If you want to tow my car after 2 minutes of being parked in a place not blocking anyone and reserved for typcially for people loading stuff (although there is no loading sign as my building is going to be getting one) ....fine....but you should be using a flat bed and not willing to damage a car just to get a tow. Very unprofessional. I am willing to pay the $198 but not willing to pay thousands in repair due to negligence.
Had the worst experience after coming to US. They towed the car from front of the store in which I was doing marketing. I left the shop after doing the purchase and went to the just next restaurant to pack my food. 15 minutes back I came back to the shop to collect my items and was wonderstruck to see my car was gone. Then learned that this company towed my vehicle. The shop owner called them and informed the same. They agreed to give me my car back without any fine. I took a taxi and went to there place. I got my car back, but the cars bumper was damaged, the front left rims were badly damaged. This is my 2 months old 2017 Sportage Kia and I do not have any further words to express my temper in this forum, but what I need to say that this are horrible people who cheat and trouble innocent people like us.Please never park car where there tow advertisement is given. They are cheaters!!!!
This place just drives around at night looking for people to tow. Try asking for an itemized bill when you pick up your car. Theyll give you a receipt for services. Yes, but what did I pay for? No answer.
