Straight scum bags. Tried charging over $400 for a few miles tow. Charged an $85 fee for cancelling within minutes or making the request. Don’t bother calling these dirt bags.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! This company towed my car only 2 hours after I had paid for 12 hour parking at the 361 W Chestnut Lot. They claimed to have towed it for being parked in a reserved spot in a PUBLIC PARKING LOT, where the pay box does not allow you to select a spot number & the receipt does not provide where. All spots in the lot are marked as “reserved” with a description to include your receipt on dashboard, which I did. Absolute phishing scheme for money, towed at least 5 cars (all women... interesting...) within an hour or 2 for the same reason. Company phone number was not readily available on the signs in the lot (old towing service was CROSSED OUT IN SHARPIE). Customer service was not helpful and lied on the phone about the cost to get my car out, nor could provide any more reasoning behind the incident. I am immediately taking legal action until I am reimbursed.

I came back home from out of town in the morning and my parking spot is parked by an unknown SUV. I called the A-1 towing company. The woman on the phone told me they are busy, all their trucks are in downtown, and she wouldnt know anything or give me an estimate of when the towing truck will be on its way. Our condo has a contract with A-1 and its Cubs game day, so where I live is hard to find street parking. I waited for more than half hour and our condo president told me we should have priority as we have a contract with them.I called again, the same woman who picked up the phone earlier told me again all their trucks are in downtown and she did not give me any status updates or estimation. She told me she had not reached out to any trucks and she didnt know anything. I told her our condo has a contract with the company, and she said that doesnt matter, she doesnt know anything. She sounded extremely rude on the phone. I asked for her name and if I could talk to her manager, all she could give me is her code name, 1221, and the manager will be in the office tomorrow.I am going to talk to her manager tomorrow and write reviews here and in Google, but then I realized this company already has bad ratings and reviews so I dont know if this would help or mean anything to the company. But something needs to be done with the company! This is not right!Ill post updates on this as I am still waiting for my own park spot to be cleared and serviced by A-1.Updates: After a couple of hours later, I called again, the same operator 1221 picked up the phone. She still could not give me any info about whether she contacted any drivers yet, all she could say there is a list, and when I asked how many are waiting before me or what the truck driver says, or any detail, she would say she couldnt disclose any info. When I said shes not doing her work and Im writing down everything so that I can talk to her manager or owner of this place, she said shell sue me for recording the info! She also told me I could park in a place that is illegal but she will make sure her company wont tow my car. I just cant believe my ears! I told her she can sue me because our conversation is recorded by her company as the phone started with the companys automated message: your conversation will be recorded for better customer service.

The fact that this is a towing place the side, the service here is intentionally rude as the attendant purposely berates and antagonizes people that come to pick up their car. It says a lot about not only the business, but the people that work there that it is seemingly common practice to terrorizing people who are already in a misfortunate situation. But small people do small things, so not much more can be expected. But if for whatever reason you have the Option to choose this place, do not. And for the people that work and own the business, remember you reap what you sow and every trouble that greats your team is well earned.

They towed my vehicle even though I paid via Park Mobile app. They said that i had to pay with the machine. How do you pay with a machine if the machine only accepts 12 hour increments and this is an airport lot? I called the number on the original ticket and they said to call the towing company. The towing company said they go off of machine, not any app.

Manager at company EXTREMELY rude! She is condescending and unprofessional. They towed a Comcast work vehicle even though the app didn’t work. He had to pay $525 to get the vehicle back!! Ridiculous! Terrible customer service. She claimed the owner was out of the country and there was no one else to speak with. SHE should be FIRED!

The location is not hospitable as there is no area to wait but outside. They take your property without proper notice and also are not within 30 minutes of the location where vehicle was taken. Additionally, they have a poor reputation and have been in the Chicago tribune for their unethical practices.They should be audited and potentially fined by the city. I hope other people have the resources to take them to court; I plan to but there is power in number.Also the invoice they provided did not even have the correct city of the tow. Horrible, unethical business which will also has an F rating on BBB.

Extremely rude and poor service. They made a mistake by towing my car when it still had 8 hours left of parking time and refused to own up to the mistake even after several contacts from park mobile confirming there was no reason to tow the car.

Car was towed this Saturday from the forest park blue line station because there system was down for people that pay for monthly parking I can only assume. SP+ has told me over the phone They are suppose to have physical paperwork on monthly payer so this wouldnt happen. How about you wait till youre system is back up until you tow a paying customer that shells out 120$ a month. If I was good on Friday then Im probably good on Saturday when I just paid on 3/1/18 for monthly parking. Ill start leaving my invoice in the car seeing youre system seems to causing problems then.Not sure why they dont give something to put into our car to prove that we have paid for the month, would make sense.

Look Im sure nobody likes the type of business that involves Towing his or her vehicle, but I watched this company truck pull into a parking lot downtown Chicago today he got out walked around the lot to check the parking slips in every vehicle, he stumbled across one vehicle that must not have been in compliance, the vehicle had some bumper damage front and rear prior to him taking the vehicle, he observed the vehicle thoroughly, took pictures all the way around, took pictures inside the window, to me I felt he was kind of courteous as he waited about 10-15 minutes before actually hooking up the vehicle and pulling off. Above all when it was time to do his job he properly hooked up the vehicle by lifting it from the front end and strapped it down. Afterward he took more pictures. To me he did his job, if you dont have enough money to park for the actual time needed then take public transportation or find other means to address your situation. If Im ever downtown or one of my company vehicles is and a tow truck is needed, Ill will be sure to call this company.

Not a legitimate tow company! Steeling ars from legitimate parking spots and not giving your vehicle back without payment! Con artists, this company will not last much longer! Paid $530.00 to get my van out that was towed from a parking spot that Ive parked in for 3 years. The picture that the company took shows my van in a perfectly legal spot and they see nothing wrong with the tow. Now I live in anxiety that Ill come out to my van missing again for no reason and owe those crooks $530.

Horrible, horrible experience with this so called company. I purchased a ticket for parking and it was clearly displayed on the right side of my dashboard ( like I was informed to do) and they still towed my car. When I got there they didnt answer the bell and when I tried to show them my ticket for parking they wouldnt do anything. Very unprofessional and rude. Towing scam is what it is. They have you at their mercy because they have your car and they totally take advantage of it.

Well, they towed my car, even though I sort-of deserved it. Getting my car back was hassle-free, other than the 1 hour Uber ride to get there. Its a very safe area of town, so nothing to worry about there. But they towed my car, so three stars is being generous :)

Damaged my car, refuse to admit guilt and lied directly to my face about what 2 clear black rings are doing on the roof of my car. Tried to get me to admit my car was towed before so he could blame it on that. It was a very pleasant experience.

Have no HOA in my area of houses and ours were the first ones built since 2004. We used them as our towing company. Now 2019, called then cuz some idiot parked right outside MY garage blocking us in. Called them, they required a password & refused to help me. Ive been here since the houses were built, theres new condos around us but we have different property management. No one would help me or even call me back to tell me what I can do or how to find out. Theres no HOA for my area of buildings. Prob 1 guy who worked for the city but the idiot never did anything, & claimed himself as the HOA. And hes moved away for a yr now....

When you call, they either put you on hold indefinitely or almost immediately hangup on you

Im trying to get my car out now I was respectful didnt curse. I said the picture didnt show me coming right back to car. When I tried to ask some more questions and speak with a manager she yells she is the manger and to get the duck out of here. Her words not mine . I told her I didnt swear and she yelled get the duck out.

There is a special place in hell for this company and their employees. Please try not to use their lots if you absolutely must take pictures of everything before you leave your car parked in their lots. They are scam artist. I parked in a parking spot. They took my car claiming that it was parked in a spot other than the spot that I paid for. I made sure to count the cars to ensure that I parked in the right spot. I still have my reciept. Right now me and my 4 year old are taking a train and bus all the way to the other side of town to pick up my car and i have to pay $100 to get my car back even though I paid for the correct spot. It would have been cheaper to take an uber than to park at their park and ride locations. I dont understand how a $2 parking spot became a $100 problem. Make sure to keep reciepts as well if you choose to continue to park in their lots because they charge half price no matter whether the towwas their fault or not.

Essentially thieves - they will tow your car even if you paid for parking. Legalized extortion I suppose. Pay your bill with a credit card, then report the charge as fraud. Also report them to the Illinois Attorney General. The world would be a better place without companies like this.

They removed a squatter in my $300 a month parking spot in my condo building. It took about 2ish hours to get the vehicle removed but part of that was communication between the garage manager and the towing company. Happy they were able to remove the vehicle despite several pillars and walls within the underground garage.

Damaged my car and all I wanted was documentation before I left so I could put a claim in...newer suv pristine, not anymore. They said trust me, just go and you can call mang. tomorrow I said no thank you and would wait to get a report. Owner came out and threatened me, police had to get involved. Terrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. I find it amazing how I use park and ride every day for the same spot and pay all the time. To get off the train one day and find that my vehicle is gone especially when I paid money for my ticket smfh. These people are crooks and scammers! I went to pick up my car immediately just to see that another girl paid for parking and she got her car towed as well. After that I will not be using park and Ride no more!!!!!!!

Well because who honestly likes towing companies especially when you just want to eat tacos. They constantly have a tow truck driving by the taco place on elston & California to take cars from the parking lot.

They wrongfully towed my car in a spot which I had paid for using SpotHero hours before it was towed. When I got back to the lot and found my car was gone, I called Citywide to see if they had mistakenly taken it. The girl on the phone tells me its not her problem if they didnt see the SpotHero reservation at the time they towed it. I then called SpotHero. The lady from SpotHero said there was absolutely no reason my car should have been towed and put me on hold for 20 minutes while she tried to reason with the girl at Citywide. She came back and said she couldnt get anywhere with them and to go over to the lot and show them my parking pass. I did that, and the girl and Citywide said I would still have to pay to get my car out even though they had wrongfully towed it. I got a refund for the towing costs from SpotHero, and I filed a complaint with the Illinois Commerce Commission. Anyone else who was wrongfully towed should also file a complaint with the Illinois Commerce Commission. These people will continue to wrongfully take peoples cars unless theyre reported.

This company has an organized scam going with Spot Hero. They tow vehicles from fully paid spaces. Towed on day 2 of a 5 day reservation and charged me $1100 for towing and 4 days storage.

Wrongly towed my car thinking it was parked illegally although i had reserved the spot through an app and was legal. Fighting to get my uber fare to the tow yard and tow fee back now. Horrible people.

Towing my vehicle even though I paid for a reservation and had a confirmation to prove it. Refused to give correct information and even said they towed from an incorrect address. My vehicle was parked in one spot they said they towed it from different spot.

Everyone makes mistakes, and it might have been spot heros fault that I was initially wrongfully towed. But the people that work here could have done many things to right the situation, and instead were patronizing, helpless and unprofessional, taking no responsibility for the damages they caused me, or the man that was in line in front of me picking his car up. He had gotten towed from his regular work parking lot for no disclosed reason. From now on I will try to avoid parking lots that hire this company.
