I am so happy with my dip manicure. I have been searching for a nail place and this is by far the best - I had to leave a review! Danny was great and I will definitely be going back.

I was charged 55 dollars for this set. And the receptionist told me it would be 15 dollars for a color change on my toes. Before I changed the color I had no chip so the nail tech charged me an extra 10 dollars because I had no chip, like that didn’t make any sense when I just wanted a color change. This establishment is not worth your time. My neighborhood nail shop does better work than this for less than 50 dollars & my index nail is scratched up & the other index finger is very fat. Don’t go here

The worst nails Ive ever had done in my entire life! He couldnt even paint my nails well, Im can’t go to another place today to get it fixed because its too late but Im very upset with my nails, you plan to come please dont waste your money in here, tomorrow’s my birthday and I was so happy to get my nails done but look at this nails 😭😞

I’ve been searching for a place in the city that can do a good job on nails. I used to go to the south side to get a good nail job. The pedicure left something to be desired but so happy with my nails. I had several people work on my nails bc they were busy but Tina did the majority of the work.

I never give reviews, but I feel like I have to at this point! I’ve been going to 312 for about a year now and I have never been disappointed. Kevin is the BEST nail tech I’ve ever had and the dip always looks so natural. I recommend this place and Kevin to literally everyone I know.

Very friendly staff, good service and attention to detail work only caveat us with appointment also the waiting time is longer. But I would say definitely one of the nicest nail salon and I prefer Tina as she is fast at her services.

I’ve been coming to this salon for 2 years, and I used to love it. However, yesterday was the last time I’m ever coming to this salon. I will never go back after my experience. I have never had a nail technician be so rude and forceful ever like I had yesterday. The woman who did my nails threw the color wheel for a dip manicure at me, and after 5 seconds pushed me to come sit down. I didn’t even have 10 seconds to pick a color. I showed her a couple pictures of a design I wanted, and was just asking about prices. She was super agitated and didn’t really want to answer my questions. She was mad and said “You keep showing me all these pictures but you don’t even know what you want.” I was very kind and patient and just told her that I needed a minute and would love to have her opinion on the design. She still was rushing me, and put tips on my nails without double checking that it was even what I wanted. She chose the shape of my nails without even asking AGAIN—I wanted to get up and walk out but I didn’t really know what to do. She was like, bullying me to pick nails? I didn’t have any time. Usually I spend about 1.5 hours there, and yesterday I was rushed out within 40 minutes. She did not double check to make sure anything was perfect like the other technicians did either. She kept rolling her eyes at me, even when I was just trying to be polite and make small talk. Once I was done, she rushed over to the front desk to check me out. I gave her my card and the first thing she said was “SO ARE YOU GOING TO TIP ME???”. She snatched my phone out of my hand once I had my venmo up, and kept looking over my shoulder to see what I was putting in. I was genuinely so appalled at all of this. Not to mention, I was not offered any beverage or spoken to with any type of respect. She told me it would be 60 dollars for the nails I wanted, as it was the SAME TYPE OF NAILS I HAD GOTTEN 5 TIMES BEFORE AT THIS SAME SALON, but instead charged me 70 dollars. When I asked about it, she immediately got defensive and started listing all of these charges. First of all, I didn’t even get to pick what shape of my nail I wanted…she picked it for me. Second of all, the design was not very good or as elaborate as others I had gotten before. There was no price increase on their services, so this seemed like it was at her discretion. I wanted a peaceful nail visit, but instead I was stressed out and felt so uncomfortable. You go to a salon to relax and unwind, that’s what I paid for. This was so rude and unprofessional and I truly don’t recommend anyone going there ever, because you never know who will treat you poorly. I wish I could get a refund, I feel very ripped off.

Dont normally leave reviews but I had the WORST nail experience at this place. they know what theyre doing skill wise but they over book appointments SO much and a lot of the techs are super rude. I made an appointment with Danny (which he literally asked me to do last time even though I normally request Eric) and he was so rude from the moment I sat down and rushed through my nails and got angry at me just for me asking him to shape them to my liking, even though that is literally his job when putting tips on. when I made my appointment I asked for dipping, with tips, and extra time for a design and he didnt want to do any of it. I have never been so frustrated at a nail salon and Ive been getting dipping / gel / tips for 10 years. I would find somewhere with nicer people / better vibes if you can.

This place doesnt care about nail care, only style and look. I asked her not to use a drill to get the gel off, look at the picture. Also I messed my thumb up on the way upstairs to the dryer, look at the picture to see how she didnt even care to fix it, two different colors and paint on my thumb. I even had to ask for a towel so she wouldnt get shavings on my clothes. Unreal. I shall not return.

WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I will NEVER return. To sum it up I left in tears and still had to pay $50 after being verbally assaulted by a nail technician.From the beginning I asked if they could do nail art, which they confirmed. Following which I showed SEVERAL designs and color pallets which they refused and said they couldn’t do. then I picked a simple design to just get it over with after multiple attempts to explain which color I wanted on my nails… May I mention, this was after the nail tech rudely and impatiently told me to I didn’t understand color. Fast forward to getting my extensions on the nail tech refused to do the length i wanted and yelled at me that he doesn’t do short nails,, after explaining to him that i am a jewelry designer that needs my nails to work. I gave up. following this I went to compliment him on my nails saying that i liked them and he stood up and started yelling at me that i was a “DUMB AMERICAN WHO DIDN’T KNOW WHAT SHE WANTED AND WAS SO FRUSTRATING” blah blah blah… to create the picture for you, he was slapping the nail file against the table as he yelled at me. He then refused to finish my nails and the manager attempted to finish them but i walked out early because i was CRYING. i went to the register for the manger to tell me he wanted to charge me $88 but that she would charge me ONLY $55 for my troubles…. DO NOT GO HERE! I READ THE OTHER REVIEWS BUT IT WAS CLOSE AND CONVENIENT SO I WENT. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

Every time you go to this place, whether you have an appointment or not you were going to wait 20+ minutes just to be seen. I just left after a two hour pedicure only to hate it! Two techs tried to fix it and it’s still bubbly and looks like a child painted my toes. Do not bother! There’s plenty of great nail salons in Chicago and this is not one of them.

Love this place! There’s a reason I’ve been coming here for years. I’ve had several technicians for my regular dip service and I’m never disappointed! Danny is my go to these days, but they’re all amazing. Highly recommend for your next nail service!

312 Nails is professional, hospitable, clean and reliable!! The best part is that they remember me and know exactly what I want! I usually go to Danny for dip and a deluxe pedicure but everyone is wonderful! They also serve wine and beer with the your service! The management team is organized and the salon is always clean! They are my go-to in Chicago and are amazing! You will not regret the choice .

This used to be my go to nail salon; however, I will not be going back after my last experience. I left bleeding around 4 different nails. The nail tech laughed at me when I screamed after he put acetone on the cuts he caused, despite me asking him to avoid those areas. When I asked for some Band-Aids, I was asked to first answer whether I would tip in cash, credit, or Venmo. No apology and no Band-Aid.

The ambience was severely lacking and the technicians work felt sloppy and rushed. I got a no-chip manicure and it was chipped within hours. We were ableto walk in on a rainy sunday because most other places were already booked up. Now I realize why. I would recommend other salons in the immediate area that charge the same but have better quality work.

I had a gel pedicure with chrome done at this location about two weeks ago (4/18/21). I was told that chrome would last longer if it was on a gel pedicure and figured why not try it out. I got the gel pedicure on Sunday and on Monday noticed that the chrome color (which was extra) started coming off. I called the salon and they fixed it, but that was only a temporary fix. A week after the fix, the gel chrome came off a total of three toe nails (my big toe’s came of completely). I would not recommend coming here for that reason. I expect the prices of the service to be equivalent to the quality of the service, which in this case it was not.

They’re very inconsistent. My no chip manicure lasted a solid 3 weeks the first time I went to 312 Nails. I tried them again last week and 2 of my nails have completely chipped and popped off after only 4 days.

Best nail shop in Chicago! I’ve been to places all over the city and nothing compares to 312! I usually go to Danny and he does amazing at designs and just overall is very professional! I recommend this to all of my friends and family and they always come back with positive reviews!

Tom is my favorite nail tech I’ve ever gone to! He takes the time to make sure your nails are perfect. I’m always very happy with the outcome of my dip manicure and gel pedicures. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone in Chicago!

Eric at 312 nails is the only person I’ll go to in Chicago! He is meticulous about shaping and cleaning my nails and cuticles, and I always leave happy. I can go 3 weeks between appointments and my nails have never been stronger. Plus, he always has a huge smile on his face! If you’re looking for a new nail place in the city, don’t hesitate.

Sorry to say, but my experience here was HORRIBLE!! We waited over 30 minutes to have someone attend to us, after even having a reservation. On top of that, after they FINALLY got people to us, they only took 15-20 mins when it states a pedi should take ~40 mins. I didn’t even end up doing my mani because of the poor management, and I didn’t want to waste more time here ugh.

I’ve given this place 3 tries now. First two times my no chip came peeling off within 5 days. Third time I made an appointment for 11:30am. Walked in & they said it would be 30 more minutes. I waited, and then they said another 20 minutes. For a regular manicure.

The reason Im giving 5 stars is because ERIK! He is amazing ! He does the best dip. He took his time and made sure I was 100% happy. So sweet and great customer service, the owner is lucky to have him. Thank you ERIC, see you soon!

I have been coming here for many years and it is hands down the best dip manicure and pedicures. Tom does the best dip manicure and I even drive 35 minutes to come get my dip manicure with Tom. I highly recommend this place!

I have been going to this salon for a year but my last two appts have been double booked so I showed up and was either told I have to wait an hour+ or get a new technician who cannot do the designs i asked for. When I actually get my nails done here Danny is amazing but lately the customer service has been terrible and theh need to figure out the booking issue.

I went to get some gel nails removed and he was supposed to soak them first the use the electric file to remove the remaining gel but instead he filled the gel nails into my own nails and went to deep into my nails I had too tell him he has to soak them off so finally he dose and used the electric file doing so filling my nails in the process unfortunately my nails have cracked on both side up to the meat so I can’t remove the nails so on my other hand I was able to remove and my own nails are really long so I was able to redo them myself and save the nails from breaking off mind you my nails are very strong there brown and he filled them down so much that he shaved down my real nails thin and breaking off then around the nails were you remove that extra skin around the nails he didn’t do it right so it looks like it hurts but it doesn’t had a very bad experience he had me sitting for over an hour soaking while do someone else’s nails that the owner in there language had gotten on him will never go there again I should left when he started to remove them the wrong way from the beginning exspecially since I went to hair school and knew it wasn’t right

My partner came home in tears after one of the workers here verbally yelled at her. Unbelievable customer service.Obviously, we will never return.

Found this amazing Nail Salon after researching Google, Instagram and Yelp. The service and quality of nail treatments here is fantastic. Im really fussy about my nails and there were several things about this salon that make it a truly premium salon.1) The range of colours for paint and dipping sets is huuuuge! You could easily spend an hour just picking a colour2) The staff are all attentive, polite and make sure they understand EXACTLY what you want3) Throughout the treatment they continually ask whether you are happy with the shape, colour, thickness (acrylics in my case)4) There is definitely a pride and perfectionism that I experienced with my technician Danny. He was really meticulous and keen to make sure they turned out flawless.. and they did!Ill let you judge by the pics, they look orange but they were infact a coral colour and I had acrylics with no chip paint and coffin style shapeId highly, highly recommend this salon!N

Great service for dip, nail extension and wax!

I was told there would be a 15 minute wait, they sat me downstairs with my feet soaking for over half hour...waiting. A Caucasian couple comes downstairs and someone not only runs the water for their pedicure but also offers them wine and water. I got offered NOTHING! This is the second time this has happened to me where I wasnt treated as the Caucasian patrons in this establishment. I work around the corner so its super convenient but after this experience Im gonna have to find somewhere else to go.

My friend and I just moved to the city and decided to try this place. The vibes here are so good and the staff are so friendly & professional! We had the best dip manicure of our lives and a wonderful experience to go with it. 10/10 highly recommend this place!

I only go to 312 nails! They’re clean, do an outstanding job, and I always leave happy. I don’t typically write many reviews, but had to share my amazing pedicure experience with Kevin and dip nails with Eric! I will definitely be coming back and seeing them specifically again! Not to mention, they recently remodeled their salon and it’s beautiful!

Overall, this place is an absolute win for me when it comes to the quality of how my nails look. I consistently receive compliments every time when I get them done there. Now as for the service it is a hit or miss, but best service is when it is slow (usually weekday afternoons). My appointments have run generally on-time, but they have been late as well. Color selection is pretty decently sized, and my only real complaint with that is I wish they had more OPI gel options with updated colors. I know some have said they upgrade service without asking, and for me after coming for a year that’s only happened once to me for a pedicure. Best advice: if you want your nails done well come here, but best to advise busier hours when possible for the best quality service. My blips in service haven’t stopped from coming due to the quality.

Loved it! I needed a quick mani fix before a bunch of work meetings, and this was the closest salon to my office. The place is new, super clean, staff is friendly and experienced, I was truly impressed by how quickly they did my nails. I will certainly be back.

I am very sad to have to give a mixed review. I have loved this nail salon! Kevin gives a fabulous dip manicure. However, I had to ask no less than 6 times for staff to put on their masks. I was so so uncomfortable and could not wait to get out. It is a shame. Kevin had his on the entire time and did a great job- however- the rest of the employees really dont seem to care about the rules and therefore their clients.

Honestly, I searched for the nearest salon after having breakfast. The first salon required an appointment so we walked a block to 312 Nails, I believe this was meant to be. I apologize I didnt get our techs name but he was awesome!

Let me start by saying that 312 nails does the best dip manicures I’ve ever had. They are SO talented.HOWEVER, the service is bad. Every time that I have an appointment, I am forced to wait 30 minutes or longer before being seated. It’s usually over an hour long experience.So if you want an amazing manicure, be prepared to wait for a very long time... even if you have an appointment.

I never leave reviews, but this is the best dip manicure I’ve ever gotten! Kevin was great - funny, paid attention to detail, and made sure I liked the length, shape, color, thickness, etc.My nails look SO good, and I will definitely be back.

Absolutely, categorically, unable to run their business. They have no idea how to manage appointments and walk ins. They had a 530 appointment wait until 630. They told me wait is 25 minutes and sat me in the pedicure chairs, just to make me wait 1.5 hours with no end in sight.I got up and left.I like the salon. Some of the employees have been rude but I kept returning. This was it for me. They dont know how to operate.Dont bother walking in. Dont bother making an appointment. Only show up if you want to play the lottery.

Chose this spot because it was close to work, but its now my new nail spot permanently. Amazing service! Super friendly staff. Clean, chic environment. They do the best longest lasting dips Ive had yet. Consistently impressed with the staffs attention to detail. 10/10 would recommend.

I don’t usually write reviews for places but I’ve been coming here consistently since January to get my nails done and I’m obsessed. Every time I leave their salon, I come out feeling so happy and my nails look incredible. I always either get acrylic gel nails or I do a fill. I’m always satisfied with the results. There’s so many selections of polish and the place is always super clean! The staff is so accommodating and professional and nice! I will continue to go here!

I love this place. Its the first time Ive ever starting getting my nails consistently done because i LOVE the Dip Manicure. Ive tried getting it done at other places and no one does it as well as they do. I never make an appointment but always call ahead of time to see how busy they and they are honest!! Which is so rare as most places will tell you there isnt a wait or thatll be 10 minutes and youll wait for 45. Ive never once had to sit in their waiting area. So glad this place is close to my office- they can get you in and out during a lunch hour- love it!

The no chip polish job was amazing. The only reason Im rating downward is because she didnt really do anything with my cuticles.

Im very particular about my nails so I get liquid gel instead of powder acrylic. Nobody does my nails like Danny. He is the absolute best with the liquid gel. Besides Danny being my favorite, the color selection at 312 is the best on this side of the city.

Desperately needed a new no chip mani and popped in on a Thursday around 2:30pm as a walk in. I was told the salon could do my service even though I didn’t have an appointment. I chose a color and sat down for a few minutes and then a nail tech came to put foil on to take off my no chip, but mentioned she wouldn’t be doing the rest of my service. After she put on the foil, I waited for nearly 25Minutes before someone else came to take it off and start my service. There wereMultiple people who walked in (some had appointments, some did not) whose services started before mine. At one point, I counted six clients that came in after me, but had designated nail techs starting their services before me. It was really frustrating that they took my walk in service but then had me sit for way too long with acetone on my hands and no nail tech to remove my polish. When I finally did get a nail tech, he did an okay job. His filing was rough and at several points hit skin on the tops of my fingers because of his quick and off course files. Luckily, no skin was broken but it was definitely one of the worst filings I’ve had done of my nails. He moved very quickly through the polish job but my nails turned out pretty well. I’m slightly worried that the ends weren’t sealed very well and might chip easier than at my usual nail salon, but time will tell!With the student discount, the no chip was $30 plus tip. Tips are cash only!

Omg this salon is wonderful! I reside in Florida and am here for a long weekend to visit my sin. This salon is in his area so i gave it a try. Loved the ambiance and Kevin gave the best pedicure and massage. Came in with my daughter and son and they were happy with theirs as well. If i could have given this salon more than 5 stars, i would have! (And i am picky! ) Will definitely come back next town I am here! Highly recommend!

Will absolutely never go to this salon again. Was so excited to have a cute shop so close to my job but after only four days my “no chip” gel manicure had a noticeable chip in the nail. I went back to have the nail repaired and mentioned two of my other nails didn’t look properly sealed but the technician assured me they were fine. Now a week after my manicure one nail has chipped clean off and the others show signs of following.

Horrible customer service. will never go back and would never tell anyone to go here. the manager doesn’t know how to run a business. it’s really pathetic. it’s too bad because i likes my nails but the service was that bad so i wouldn’t go back. they never honor my appointments which is so annoying. don’t even bother making an appointment they run late or give the person you requested to some one else and make you wait so long if you still want that specific person. not sure how they are so busy when the service is barely worth a star

Terrible experience. Mia did my nails and she was so so mean and so rough. She cut me a million times she didn’t even size my tips before glueing them on and some are crooked. I let her know that and she lashed out on me. I wouldn’t have tipped but I was genuinely scared of her and she was the one swiping my card. I don’t normally write reviews but I’m am so upset by this experience.

When I got my manicure at 312, I was hoping for it to last at least a week.After almost 4 weeks, this manicure is GOING STRONG! Ive literally never had any manicure last this long since I stopped doing full acrylics 7 years ago.The man who did my manicure was exceptional. It was a bit weird because I had an appointment and while I was waiting (I waited for 20 minutes past my appointment time) the man walked in, took off his jacket, and called me over. After we were finished, he put his coat back on and walked out right after me. At the time, I sort of wondered if he actually worked there.Anyway, if youre this far in my review, just go here for a dip manicure and ask for Ryan. You will NOT be sorry you did.

I got a fill and no chip. 2 of my nails (the full and no chip) chipped within a few days because they were made too thin. I went in to get them fixed, and they looked horrible. More chipped within a few days. I have never had a worse nail experience and won’t be going back.

I love this shop! They always take their time and do a great job. They also use new tools for each client, which I like a lot.

The worst nails I have ever had done in the city of Chicago. I had a no-chip Essie manicure not even one week ago. Three nails have already chipped... absolutely ridiculous and have never had this before in this short time frame since leaving a nail salon. Spend your money elsewhere.

I booked a 5:30pm appointment online and showed up 5 mins early. I left after waiting 30 minutes because I noticed that there were still other customers who had been sitting with their nails soaking for the entire time I had been there. They clearly overbook themselves and have no respect for the appointments that are booked. A customer shouldn’t have to be at the salon for 2 hours just so you can try to see 3 clients at the same time.

Great place but there’s definitely some room for improvement. I had an appointment for 9:30, when we showed up the place was still closed and they didn’t open until 9:45. So I had to wait outside for 15 minutes. Once we got started, it was a good experience overall. Really good quality mani/pedi. I got dip powder and ended up LOVING my new nails :) The only downside is that you can’t put a tip on the card. They only take cash or Venmo which is not very convenient... I hope they can change that soon. I will be returning soon.

Came in to treat my daughter and her maid of honor for my daughters wedding tonight. Reviews looked promising, so why not. The lady who checked us in was AMAZING. The young man that did my mani/pedi was great. My daughter, however, was rushed on hers. Her service was upgraded without asking. As was the MOH. The man who did the MOH was very aggressive with adding on services that we didnt know we were getting. He tried to make the MOH pay for a service that I paid for. He messed up our payments. What should have been a fun, relaxing experience was just a mess.

I was a customer for over 8 months I was dedicated to this salon because the work is veery good however I noticed a difference in treatment for me being a minority. I would always get a rush job but when another race would come in that wasnt a minority the service was not rushed.I decided to tip a lot more at least $15-$20 dollars each time for a manicure and pedi however I was not treated with the same regard. I even asked while stitting next to a woman not of color as we both were getting a pedi is this a deferent service if so I dont mind paying because she it getting more time being massaged and and the scrub that comes with the service I was told no its the same but I was done 15 mins before the other woman and I sat down after she did but thats not the reason I’m giving two stars. I would give one but the painting job is very good and my nails lasted more than 2 weeks. However, I was being scrubbed with the metal scrubber that removes dead skin and the guy Kevin scarped off my skin in 3 different areas on my ankle. It started to burn when he applied the gel the callus softener and it started to burn. I asked if he would put alcohol on it because he scarped my skin off. he said no thats you boot I said no sir my boots didn’t cause a sore on my feet as you can see it’s new. this upset me because he insulted my intelligence. I would have been fine had he said “oh I apologize”, so then I didnt give up then I came back after that and I decided to no longer use Kevins services. I decided to use Tina as I have before in the past. She did a great job but when it came for me to tip I didnt give her the normal $20 I decided to give $7 because I only got one service and I felt like I was rewarding behavior that I didnt favor in the past and she always snatches my hands and is never gentle. When i would ask her politely to please be gentle she would be sarcastic and say “just say thank you Tina” the nerve of this person! But She saw that as said only $7? I said yes and she walked away with a clear attitude speaking her language to the others in the room. I felt disrespected and humiliated after going into this salon and trying to speak to these people asking questions being interested in their life as a human being not as a servant. I do this because I have a business of my own and I am very passionate about customer service. I love to engage people and really have genuine conversations. Needless to say that I wont be going back. I have left feeling horrible about myself whenever I go. Im done.

Worst service. The guy who did my nails was quite rude and the polish chipped off in few hours.

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! I went in to get a wax service and the the cosmetologist turned out to not be licensed!! To make a long story short, once I felt something run down my leg (BLOOD) I told her to stop and went straight to urgent care.What happened you ask? Due to possibly using the wrong wax and/or excessive force, my skin was torn to the point of tearing in FIVE places. The doctor said he was in complete disbelief.When I asked the manager to explain she said usually I would have done the wax service myself, but because we were busy I asked my assistant to do it. Mind you, I had made an appointment.Please just save yourself the two weeks of antibiotics and waiting for your skin to heal up!!

I’ve been going to this nail salon for mani and pedi since you open. I’ve been really satisfied with the services there until today. This lady (who I don’t know her name), long hair in her 30-40s, who did my mani and pedi today is SUPER rough. She was chatting with others while removing the dead skin on my right feet and wasn’t paying attention when she accidentally cut my feet with the filing stone. She did not even apologize or do anything about it, she just ignored it like it never happened. I was bleeding from the wound. I even asked for a first aid kit, which she told me they don’t have it. Needless to say, her nail polish job is the WORST ever. My gel nail are super uneven, rough and spotty. After we are all done, she didn’t even put on the enamel dry spray before placing the plastic bag on my toe when putting my shoes back on. So, I now have the plastic bag impression on my nail polish. Overall, very bad experience today. I don’t think I’m going back anymore.

Warning came here for a gel manicure and within a week got a really painful infection in my cuticle in my thumb. They don’t sanitize their equipment properly. They cut the cuticle too much even though I specifically said just hang nails. Just awful place!

I waited over 40 minutes and they lie about their appointments. They are extremely rude as well.
